Since the PJO show came out ive been thinking of who the Trio+ is most like so have this

Some of these are open to suggestions, because i am not 100% on them and others you Cannot Argue with me on

Hiccup is one im not completely sold on

Like theres some aspects of everyone that fit but the problem is hiccup is Quiet and Polite, whereas most PJO characters... Not so much

Also im only including the main line so Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, and Trials of Apollo

If it was everything, i think id have picked Carter Kane and possibly Hearth but they're not here so we got Jason and Ella, with some Hestia in there too

Nero and Octavian are the closest, but Caligula is there somewhat, especially towards later books, but Caligula is Extremely Smart, and good at fighting and being scary, so while theyre both cruel sadistic assholes Alvins just too pathetic to be fully similar

They're the only ones i did, tho i have some thoughts for a few other people

Windwalker and Mrs O Leary have similar vibes

For Toothless the characters that spring to mind are Blackjack and Megs lil leaf demon whose name i can't remember

Summary: Comforting Nico after his terrible Flashbacks..

Author's Note: I haven't read the books!! so please forgive me if I made a mistake!!

He remembered it perfectly.

He doesn't know why or how, Maybe the Gods wanted to punish him, But he hasn't done anything wrong.

It was a rainy night in Italy, His older sister, Bianca, was with their father, Hades, Currently ranting about a porcelain doll she saw on a window shop they passed earlier, His dad smiled and just listened to his sister, His mother, Maria was in the vanity, Fixing her beautiful black hair that was already sprayed with hair products. Then, there was a loud thunderstorm, It made Bianca flinch, which caused her to scream in fear and hug her dad.

Maria just chuckled and peaked at the Father and Daughter.

"I'm thanking the Fates that thunder and lightning never became your domains, or else," joked his mother, Her thick Italian accent echoing. His sister, Bianca, then frowned jokingly, She seemed offended, and Bianca huffed and wrapped her arms around her father's neck.

It all then happened so fast, a happy family once...Broken by a tragedy.

Hades saw it first, in a distance, someone holding a thunderbolt aiming at them..His family.

Hades tried, he really did. He grabbed Bianca and Nico, shielding them from the upcoming blow, but then, from the corner of his eyes, he saw maria, Until it was too late.

A powerful thunderbolt was shot in the hotel they were staying, a loud explosion making them all cry, Biana and Nico held onto their father for dear life, until there was a loud thud.

A body dropping.

As if tho the Fates chose for him to live miserably, He saw a pool of blood near the broken pillars, and sure enough, there was maria, Ever so beautiful, She was dead, But her beautiful face said otherwise, It all seems like she was sleeping peacefully, then Hades screaming, Horrified —

Nico shot up from his nightmare, Sweat trickling down his neck as he panted. You felt a body jolting beside you, and there was nico, panting heavily.

You got up and rubbed your eyes, checking the clock.

2:45 am

Nico looked at you with his eyes softening, but his expression still horrified.

"What's wrong?" You asked, Your palms caressing his pale cheeks.

"Nothing" His raspy voice replied.

But you knew something was wrong.

Being the son of Apollo, You were blessed with healing, but you sucked at archery.

Immediately sensing a nightmare, you kissed him, your soft lips touching his chapped, cold one's.

You can taste the saltiness of his tears running down his cheeks, but you couldn't care less.

After pulling away, he laid his head on your chest, The peaceful silence engulfing you two.

Then he spoke, as he started sobbing again.

"I can't unsee it— I swear, It kept replaying over and over again, I can see my mom's dead body—" Nico sobbed, His sobs muffled by your yellow shirt.

"Let it hurt, nico. Then let it go" You whispered as he sobbed harder.

"I can't accept that they're gone, Forever" He said as his dark eyes looked up at yours.

"I spent my nights wondering if they're missing me as much as I'm them"

"They're proud of you nico, Every single thing that you've done was for their honour and glory" Those words made him smile a little bit, Your heart softened, As he kissed you again.

As nico dozed off, you caresses his pale cheeks, once stained with tears coming from his painful eyes.

"I love you, I love you until the very last star in the sky burns into oblivion"

Yesterday my friend and I finished playing Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice on German! NOW,

Here's my personal opinion review of the German AA4 translation!

(And my free pass to ramble about my favourite game!) POSSIBLE SPOILERS for Apollo Justice, at least if you speak German!

1. Settings and names:

The game is set in the fandom-wide known Japanifornia still, and the translation doesn't really seem to make an effort to make it look like the game is placed in Germany, which I am somewhat glad about! Locations are, if so, translated very directly and at least to me it seemed like it kept its funny "Japanese/American" touch!

No names have been changed in the German version APART from Klaviers. Which makes sense, as the world Klavier in German is a literal object (just meaning Piano as most people know) and as a piano is also frequently mentioned I am not surprised they changed it. However, Klaviers German name is "Kantilen" which also includes a reference to music - however I mist admit I would have NEVER gotten this connection myself, making it... not a really good reference in my mind. I am quite surprised that they didn't stick with his French name Konrad, which is in fact an actual known and used name in Germany, other than Kantilen. There is no hint on the Gavins culture or anything, means Klavier unfortunately loses his touch of switching between languages, however I am somewhat glad that they didn't just changed it to any other language! So I am satsified and believe most of the English name puns were easy to figure out for a German person as well! :)

2. "Quality" of translation:

Here is a hard one. I should criticise the translation after all. Because I am genuinely surprised HOW MANY random typos the translation had. Sometimes they forgot words, sometimes a random letter would show up, sometimes a word was written wrong, or two words were written together that shouldn't. HOWEVER...

I must be honest, I thought it was absolutely HILARIOUS. It brought me a really good laugh whenever a random typo or word showed up, as if the person speaking ingame hasn't quite nailed the language yet. So I cannot actually say that it bothered me! I'll use one of said mistakes to come over to another point -

3. Use of formal language:

Now, this is something I just thought would be interesting to mention! In Germany "you" can be either said more commonly "Du" or more formally "Sie". Personally I thought it was extremely interesting to see who would use which word on which character as it was great to see how "different" their relationships actually are! As an example: When Apollo meets Phoenix and Trucy, they both immediately use the common "you" (du) on him, Apollo himself instead uses the formal version (Sie) for Phoenix mostly. Even more interesting was to me how Phoenix and Kristoph at the beginning of the first case while still being "friends" did use the common "you" on one another, until things get heated and they both don't only start calling each other by their last names, but also addressing each other formally and therefore more distanced! I thought that was really cool!... Up to the point where they appearantly couldn't decide between formal or non formal and just... made it to one non existing word. Another mistake that made me, personally, laugh rather than shaming it tho!

4. Use of specific language/ dialogue flow:

Lastly, the game translation deserves a big plus for the use of very specific German words that I wasn't expecting to see from the characters! Words as "Sonntagsfahrer" which cannot be directly translated but bring so much more character into it! The German language has a lot of specific words to express certain situations or emotions and they made really good use of this! Additionally it was simply funny to see the character use them. Of course Phoenix (no licence) would know what a Sonntagsfahrer is.

Here are some of my personal favourites when it comes to the use of specific words I somehow didn't expect!

Also; They make good use of common German slang. As an example, on some point Phoenix calls Zak "Kollege", not as in workmate, but a slang, and Woky keeps on saying "Alter" a lot, which is so very fitting. I was really expecting hin to say "Bruder" or "Diggah" next.

Lastly; Despite the errors they made the conversations on German feel really natural! I've got a lot of random scenes that made me smile and gave the characters such a strong personality! So - Here are some more!

If you made it this far: Congrats and thanks for coming to my Ted talk! Fact is - if you speak German and find it just as hilarious to me to hear and see these characters speak German I definitely recommend AA4 on German, it's been FUN!

PS: The fact that psyche locks are translated as "Psychosche Blockaden" truly killed me.Klar, ich hab jeden Morgen auch so ne psychische Blockade. 🫡

Hi!! Just read the first four chapters of ACFTL and I am already loving it! I have a question tho, which is based off one of the many theories and probably even the most popular theory fans made..

From the four chapter snippets (most especially Apollo’s first POV) do you think it’s safe to say that he is not Lysander?

So far I’m only getting the vibe that Apollo was this “nice” prince growing up and after feeling wronged by Jacks he decided he’s done being too nice. But I still want the twist where he’s secretly been the bad guy this whole time… I am still in doubt that Apollo is innocent, if he’s not actually Lysander he could still be a villain that has been playing with Evangeline even the time where she’s theorized as Jacks’ first fox.

I believe we have discussed this a bit in the comments somewhere, but I think it's safe to say that Apollo isn't Lysander.

Oh definitely! Apollo can still be a villain even if he's not Lysander. When he brought up his father and how hard he was on him, I remembered how we met Apollo in the first place.

He was arrogant, conceited, and craved attention and beauty. He was having his portrait taken with his shirt off haha. So, he may have been trying to live up to his father's expectations doing this. In a sense, Apollo may have been his own enemy.

With that said, I also get the vibe that Apollo may not have been this "nice" person all along. But he's trying to for Evangeline. There was a sentence at the end that scared me though. I fear Apollo might snap and not be the nice person he was trying to maintain once Evangeline breaks out of her condition and chooses Jacks.

It reminds me of Titanic when Cal was filled with rage after Rose jumps out of the lifeboat and returns to Jack. Like I keep imagining Apollo trying to hurt them and eventually catching Jacks. 💔

I wouldn't say I have a favourite ship... well there're times that I would invest more in a specific pairing, but that doesn't mean I like other ships any less. I have 5 drafts for Jasico and then I have a Nicobaster week and then a Percico-marathon. Generally speaking though, I would say I usually... prioritize (?) the rarepairs. Since you know, the canon one and the more popular ones alr have people building the empire for them. I might be the only one invested in a Son of Persephone with Nico, for example, so I tend to gravitate towards it, in hopes of contributing a small brick for this little tent compared to their nation; or sometimes it's just because there's someone else more invested in me and their dedication fuels me (yes you @drksanctuary).

Anw I hope this gives you an insight into how wild of a being I am LMAO. I'm a proshipper. I have no qualms when it comes to enjoying fiction - as long as I enjoy it. Be free. Trust me.

I do not frequently message people online but I absolutely Needed to communicate to you how entranced I am by your copycat au oh my god. I read the initial comic and I had to go for a jog around my apartment I was so floored. Absolutely fantastic work thank you so much for sharing!!!!!!!

What with capcom calling the switch port of aa4-aa6 the “Apollo Justice Trilogy” (which I have dubious feelings on) I’ve been thinking a lot about Apollo’s role in aa5 & aa6 (esp aa5) and your au is just. so perfect for reflecting more of Apollo and his story from aa4 forward into aa5. The potential within it to actually consider things like Apollo still being a very fresh-faced & inexperienced lawyer in the grand scheme of things and feeling inadequate for both 1) being unable to save Phoenix (in the moment, obv everything ends for the best) and 2) being unable to adequately help Athena, him having to grapple with the thought that he has yet another mentor who has betrayed him again, bringing up what’s actually touched on (though not enough imo) in the original dd of him feeling like an inadequate defense lawyer because he can’t be 100% certain of a clients innocence (tho ofc in this case it’s Phoenix instead of Athena) (“of course he’s innocent he’s the Turnabout Terror! ………but Kristoph Gavin was the Coolest Defense in the West…”, the added layer of making him have to consider Phoenix committing Clay’s murder and the two possibilities being 1 - Phoenix actually did commit the murder (awful) and possibility 2 - Phoenix didn’t commit the murder but he’s intentionally trying to let whoever did commit the murder go free for unknown reasons (bonus points - (Apollo thinks) Phoenix is leaving him in the dark again) (also awful) (obv as you mentioned at this point Athena and Apollo have no concept of a phantom villain so that’s not an option lol) …eugh it’s all so good…

And all of this on top of keeping Klavier relevant in a meaningful way (continuing the story from aa4) And having to deal with the potential fallout he would feel from Yet Again being the one to tear down Phoenix Wright with his own hands (plus the later fallout of how he would feel knowing he was (at least partially successfully) yet again manipulated and used as a tool specifically to harm Phoenix Wright) + the parallel of having Athena, yet again, having to stand in court and be able to do absolutely nothing to help those close to her (just like when she “failed” Simon) + potential Trucy fallout from having a father willfully disappear from her again. Even if she 100% believes in Phoenix’s innocence then that still means her father is intentionally covering something up and intentionally taking an action that will remove himself from her life (either via jail or via execution) and god damn that’s gotta sting + if Simon hears about this and thinks the Phantom is at play again either 1) feeling helpless and unable to prove anything because he’s stuck in the hospital and he just has to sit and watch the Phantom ruin another family right in front of his eyes or 2) (if he doesn’t Quite realize the Phantom Is Phoenix rn, he just thinks Phoenix has been tricked into covering for the Phantom) then he’s watching someone make his exact same mistake right in front of his eyes and the Phantom will continue to run free yet again eugshdhhcgsgshsh and oh my goddddddd don’t get me started on the parallels between Phoenix and Edgeworth having their roles reversed from Turnabout Goodbyes (even if it isn’t actually Phoenix, Edgeworth (probably? maybe?) doesn’t know that) basically just. Oh my god. Stellar fucking job with this. Sorry for all the rambling I just desperately needed to communicate to you how fantastic of a concept this is and thank you so much for sharing it. Just warning everybody now

I do read webtoons for fun and i might enjoy some of them that are considered problematic and bad, doesn't mean I support the creator, just means I enjoy the plot.

If i don't enjoy the plot then I just don't read it 🤷

For example, from my knowledge people really don't like Lore Olimpus because of the age gap between Persephone and Hades, also the way they made Apollo a villan and i've heard someone say it has only one body type. For me the age gap is literally in the miths and the miths are....ya know, pretty bad. With Apollo, someone had to be the villan and who else should be given an affair other than a son of Zeus? (I love that it's also a conflict for Artemis had with supporting her brother or her best friend with the little information she was provided with). And I have to disagree with the one body type thing, even tho there aren't many bodyinclusive comics anyway and noone seems to care for that. I'm all for them, don't get me wrong! Like the series "Cristal City Killers" or "Chainlinked". I love them and am supper happy diferent body types are getting included but I think you should draw what you want to and feel like drawing and haveing one type of body in your comic isn't a crime even if it isn't necessary realistic.

Another example. Boyfriends. I've read the whole series because I enjoy the art style and was in need of a cheesy romance. I enjoyed it at the moment but after educating myself on the creator and realising some of the characters are annoying or even offensive towards LGBT+ people, my "love" for it died down and I might even skip reading it if it gets another season.

TLDR: I read webtoons, even if some are problematic cuz I don't need to agree with the creator and if the series itself is shit, it's a skip

Reading The Dark Prophecy: Chapter 20 (SPOILERS)

"You don't have to fly. The idea was to make two ankle bracelets, but I didn't have time." Ten bucks Apollo is going to end up using the flying feature one way or another and he's just gonna get pulled by one foot swerving uncontrollably.

"Commodus blames me for his death" Because you killed him. "Why?" "Probably because I killed him." Yeah.

"Meg made a sound like a cat's sneeze." That's... an astoundingly accurate way to describe a short laugh.

"He's also vainglorious" This one's probably straightforward, but just in case... VAINGLORIOUS (adj.): excessively proud of oneself or one's achievements; overly vain Yep, just what I thought.

"So he's like your competition, then?" Lol Leo's not wrong tho

"Why Commodus? . . . Why not some eviler, more famous guy" That's what I've been wondering, too. I figured the guy who got stabbed 23 times but 60 people actually volunteered (I think the emperor's name was Julius Caesar but idk) would be one of the three. I simply assumed I was ignorant of Roman history (which I am). I looked it up. HE STARTED THE FIRST TRIUMVIRATE. HE WAS EVEN POSTHUMOUSLY DEIFIED. WHY IS THIS GUY NOT ONE OF THE VILLAINS? They're probably going to make a reference and give a good explanation later. Talking meta, it's probably because everyone already knows him and expects to see him. We already have Nero and Caligula, so having a third name that everyone's heard of would get excessive. Or, idk, maybe Rick Riordan just didn't feel like it.

"the third one, the emperor in the west" Oh, so now Meg watches her words. Doesn't care about Nero or Commodus, she just can't say Caligula's name. What's the point at the point? She's already drawn everyone else's attention. "Nero never used his name." Oh, that explains it.

"Nero took him." NERO BETTER NOT BE HURTING PEACHES

Chaotic reactions why I really frickin like “Zachary Ying & the Dragon Emperor” so far in the first 10 chapters:

- Humanizes a Chinese ethnic minority. Also disapora issues that I found relatable being a Chinese American. - Chinese history! Including historical figures & mythology that is not taught in the US. - Proudly age-appropriate political criticism of BOTH US and China (and European colonizers). Xiran Jay Zhao- never let yourself get censored! Ever! I personally think everything mentioned is totally fine for middle schoolers to find out about. The younger the age that kids know their country’s dirty history, the better. - I frickin LOVE the banter. And the world building has been very easy to pick up on. - So many video game references i LOVE it. “Ready Player One”, move aside. - It makes a big difference, but I like third person POV narration significantly more than 1st person. - I love me some Percy Jackson, but most of my problems with it… literally squashed within these first 10 chapters of Zachary Ying (see below cut).

-Surprise age appropriate queer rep! Zack clearly likes boys and he doesn’t know it yet (in the first 10 chapters). And its not a 1 line sentence type thing- oh no its everywhere in the subtext so much that you’d be blind to not realize it. One thing white writers, even queer writers, forget is that a queer BIPOC person is not gonna experience queerness the same way- any stigma against their cultural background & physical appearance is irreplaceable in their experience. -Speaking of which, I am very very very happy that Xiran does not market any possible queerness the same way as Iron Widow. I think this should be one of those series that are casual rep.  - Also even if you’re not Chinese, I feel like queer kids could realize “hang on. Maybe there’s nothing wrong with me and these ‘different’ feelings i had as a kid are not bad.” -Melissa is feminine power?!? No “not like other girls” and can still kick ass. -I like Wu Zetian in Zachary Ying more than in Iron Widow. -Nice way of sneaking in history lessons- between bantery conversations, Mythrealm “cards” (ie Pokemon/Yugioh cards), and dreams/flashbacks/visions. That one card that was like “Americans stole these horses. BRING THEM BACK TO CHINA.” A+ chefs kiss.

Ok now my problems with Percy Jackson that this book does better in the first 10 chapters: - Diversity! But like well-rounded and researched diversity thats also seems to be based on personal experiences, rather than checkbox diversity. It also addresses stereotypes. Some of which I can relate to myself. - Unsupervisored 12year olds running around: They kind of have a brainwashed adult chaperone. Kind of. They still do dangerous magic things that no 12yearolds should be doing, Chinese or western lol. - Mist inconsistency: instead it’s a active spray of soup that erases people’s memories. I like Harry Potter’s version of muggle view blinding best though. I can see this soup becoming a bit of an issue if they ever run out. Who makes the soup anyways?  -Cell phones & tech: Part of the premise is that there’s tech eeeverywhere and I’m always worried about a writer not being able to balance hiding supernatural stuff amidst tons of surveillance. PJO doesn’t make sense bc somehow the kids are able to keep up with pop culture, even the ones that live year round a camp with no technology that we see. Due to the video game premise, ZY is full of it and it balances it well so far. I’m awaiting for a truly chaotic event that goes viral/problematic on the internet tho xD Also THANK YOU for introducing non-US internet!  - Pop culture references: Riordan’s references were reeeally cringey, especially in Trials of Apollo. I like the references here, even though I’m sure they’ll be outdated in 10 years. (Unless ATLA references manage to stick around!) - “Being different.” Ok Zack and Percy have very different personalities. Some people may like Percy’s personality. I kind of like Zack’s approach to “being different” bc he’s more subtle about it- Zack’s internal “I’m different” thoughts are not in your face. It’s more assimilation, although I can predict that by the end of his character arc, he’s gonna accept his differences. (And I like it better than Iron Widow’s “I’M DIFFERENT!!!” thing). - The historical/supernatural beings are not good: The gods in PJO start out being black&white good and bad, and we don’t start seeing the bad sides to the “good” gods until later. Here, we get the “that historical figure possessing you is terrible” right away in the first 10 chapters. - We all know Riordan’s various plotholes- heck he literally admitted to it publicly: There’s only 1 Zachary Ying book so far, but the world building seems consistent and like it makes sense. Xiran’s still a newly published writer tho, and hopefully they don’t accidentally retcon/make plotholes in sequels. - Multiple cultures/pantheons co-existing: MCGA & Trials of Apollo kinda made things muddy. However, Xiran addresses multiple pantheons early on in a way that is culturally sensitive. - The gods & DNA: OH BOY. I’m just bring this up cause none of the mortal human main characters are biologically related so if any romances happen, not gonna run into that weird “Gods dont got DNA” problem lol. I do look forward to see if any slowburn romances happen eventually. - Prose: This is only a personal preference. Original PJO was written in first person so everything sounded like a childish 12-15 year old boy because he is a child. Zack is in 3rd person and that allows the prose to be eloquent, even for a 12yo. It’ll be enjoyable for a teen/young adult/adult to read. I’m not sure a really young kid would be able to read it, but if a really young kid can read Harry Potter, they’ll be more than fine with this.

My favorite use of historical figures in modern day fiction is still Secrets of Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott. But I still find this enjoy and look forward to finish Zachary Ying and

What’s your opinion on Lore Olympus. You know, I really try to not get bothered by mythology adaptions, but as a Demetrian, this one drives me crazy. I hate the emphasis on Persephone’s naïveté and the painful age gap. Few people realize how awkward it is to worship Persephone as an actual teen girl when her being underage is so fetishized… it’s like I feel unsafe in my own community. Plus, I don’t even worship Apollo and I’m bothered by his depiction as an entitled frat boy. - Rose Eleusis

I fully intended to give LO an honest and fair try but (and I admit this is gonna sound dramatic but it’s what happened) I was flipping through one of the books at my job and read through one of the scenes with Persephone and Apollo and I immediately felt sick. I had to put the book down, take a moment and drink some water. Like I know how dramatic that sounds even I was like “what the fuck?” But yeah that’s what happened. So I decided that LO is really just not for me and it’s best I avoid it as best as I can.

Also in that moment I realized my issue with it didn’t begin and end with Apollo. From what I’ve read and heard about the story I don’t really like any of the depictions especially not Persephone. Again I didn’t read it but idk she seems like every YA main character that is perfect, pretty, and everyone either wants or is jealous of but of course she’s oblivious to all of that because girls are supposed to be humble and modest. That’s just the vibe I get. I could 100% be wrong. The entire story just seems like a regurgitation of typical YA tropes and cliches. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I def agree with everything you said about the fetishization of Persephone. That’s actually one of my many problems with the emphasis of the Hades and Persephone romance. People seem to conveniently “forget” that Persephone when she is kidnapped is supposed to be a CHILD and Hades is a grown ass man in like his 40s because that’s how marriages worked in Ancient Greece. Funny tho how they never seem to “forget” key details like that when it comes to Zeus and Poseidon. 🙄 (Yes I am bitter and I will stay bitter bc Eris says it’s okay)

But it’s def not okay that you feel unsafe in your own community. That’s actually the opposite of what community is supposed to be for and inspire. I’m sorry you feel that way, love. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney:

1. Frank Sahwit: 0/10. You are nothing. His case lasts 5 minutes and he is ugly. I am not any more endeared seeing him in aai2.

2. Redd White: 2/10. Only gets a 2 because a friend told me about him a long time ago and I thought he was more of a major character and that he would become a blorbo. I was wrong, but I feel kinda bad for being wrong.

3. Dee Vasquez: 4/10. Woman, but pretty cool. Has the mafia on her side, so that's a plus.

4. Yogi Yanni: -10/10. Gross old man.

5. Manfred von Karma: -50000/10. Fuck you die.

6. Jake Marshall: 5/10. Cowboy if you're into that, but I'm personally not that much.

7. Damon Gant: -1/10. Not as bad of an old man as you could've been.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney 2: Justice for All:

1. Richard Wellington: 6.5/10. Pretty boy. Cool ringtone. Could be hotter.

2. Mimi Miney: 4/10. Woman. Not very memorable, but cute anyway.

3. Morgan Fey: 1/10. Old woman.

4. Acro: 6.5/10. Would like him better with his hair down, but he's literally the only aa character in a wheelchair and I like him.

5. Matt Engarde: 8/10. FINALLY a hot villain. Very, very cute before he goes evil, but gets worse when he drops his facade I think tbh.

OKAY SO. okay. tbh i'm not completely sure what i like the most but it's probably a combo of the art design/style + gameplay + characters. the art i'd say is incredibly beautiful and unique !!! the designs are really lovely and all (esp as someone who is a big fan of greek mythology which is one factor as to why i love the game so much!) <3 the gameplay is REALLY fun. and good. it's a roguelike game and it actually ties to the game's concept of death and resurrection ?? (underworld stuff. zag is literally the god of rebirth) and it's REALLY good at what it does. very addicting. no run is exactly the same and i personally didn't think i'd be fond of roguelike games but hades just really hits with it !! (a lot of people who don't like roguelike games seem to think this way too). tbh if hades is your kinda game then it genuinely is. sort of. really a Perfect Game ?? story + gameplay + visuals are like the three pillars of it and as far as i personally know all of that is just incredibly good. the protag is likeable, the other characters are likeable, i don't know some of the most important story bits yet but so far it truly is very interesting, each run is connected to the last (such that if you get a different boss, zag actually says smth abt that! it is a very fluid game. if that's properly describing it). LOWKEY EVERYONE IN THE GAME IS HOT. most likely bcs of the artstyle which is really just so nice <3 BUT YEAH i don't really like roguelikes bcs you kinda restart progress right? but hades really feels productive with each run (i even look forward to dying in game!!!!!) and there's so much failure but i don't really feel frustrated. it's a really rewarding game imo and no wonder a lot of people considered it to be their goty of 2020 (and it won a few awards for that too i think) <33 SORRY FOR RAMBLING SO MUCH BUT YEAH .... the game genuinely is just so good. also the voice acting is actually great. ALSO the romance options are super cool (AND POLY IS ACTUALLY POSSIBLE I THINK. INCREDIBLY COOL) and yeah the devs are worth supporting from what i know and are very inclusive it seems. might be wrong tho FKHSKDNSJ (EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTION THERE IS AN AROMANTIC CHARACTER IN HADES AS WELL.
