Tucson artists Ted DeGrazia and Marion Sheret DeGrazia were married in a jungle wedding chapel in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1947. The newlyweds spent about a month in and around Tehuantepec, on the Pacific side of the isthmus of Mexico. Ted came prepared to paint on their honeymoon, and the lush tropical jungles of the region provided him with exciting new subject matter. He brought back more than three-dozen jungle paintings from Oaxaca. Happy Throwback Thursday! 🌱
