My thirst for Asa Emory is eternal. This movie has been one of my comfort films for a couple of years, and every time I re watch it, I fall back in love with its unique story and intense setting. I like describing this film as Kevin McAllister from Home Alone, watched too many Saw films, and got inspired. Only instead of defending his own house, he instead comes to yours and fucks shit up there instead. The gore in this film is intense and graphic and not for the faint-hearted. The setting is beautiful. The killer is yummy. This film truly has it all

If there was one thing Lia couldn’t stand it was being late for something, naturally, Lia had to have this time where she was so caught up that she didn’t have the time to focus on what was happening. When her alarm went off she could have scolded herself for an hour, but luckily for her, she had already laid out tonight's attire. She slipped into it quickly and spritzed on some perfume, giving a few minutes to stop with her father and brother so they could approve of what she was wearing.

She had shown up at the restaurant, taken her piece of paper, and found her way to her seat, already three drinks in before she had left the house. Luckily they weren’t strong drinks or she would have a lot to answer for when it came to getting caught up with her father later in the night. Perhaps this whole date idea was a little silly, she didn’t need anyone to be her date tonight, and she could do that herself just fine. But at the same time, she kind of liked the idea of being able to have a new experience. She waited for a little, taking up her chair, looking around, and waiting for her blind date to appear. “So, are you my date for the night then?”

I can't remember if I talked about it last year but it's in the same universe as all my arkin stuff from last nano (and whatever else I have floating around in that tag) but in short: Darkness is like a Tangible Thing that kills people in the arkin universe a lamplighter is like an emergency first responder who goes around lighting lamps whenever the Darkness tries to get a little too close to civilization. usually lamplighters are guard captains, arkinites, sturdy folk etc etc

anyway THE lamplighter short story is about Kaya, Dae-Hyun, and Amar, three arkinites (basically magic people) in the city of astrallen as The Most Important Light in the city is stolen, causing a plague of Darkness to descend and kill a bunch of people, etc etc. basically a heist mystery where they all think one of the others did it and the whole town is like. very much against them because it did technically start a natural disaster that killed thousands
