People often thing they’re combatting misogyny as long as they objectify women in a #feminist way lol

They’re people with different tastes and ambitions and creative styles and because they’re people it’s absurd to demand they be paid attention simply off the fact that they’re women, all it serves to do is minimize their efforts and identities in a less overt way

advertising creators based solely on their identity is shallow and unhelpful and I believe this extends to a lot of LGBT creators as well. more often than not they're only mentioned in lists of "queer creators to support this pride month" with their sexuality and gender next to their name and little to no description of what they actually do.

this overcorrective behavior towards women or queer creators is very fucking annoying and since it's a direct result of misogyny and homophobia I don't believe we're gonna be escaping it any time soon.
