I know the dice tell half the story or whatever but I swear to god if Lizzie's arc doesn't end with her getting to go to Feather-brook with Jay and just going to visit Ava's grave so she has an opportunity to actually grieve I'm going to scream.

Like it's fucked up that Ava died they way she did but it's also doubly fucked up that Lizzie couldn't be at her funeral, couldn't have space to grieve like at all. She and Caspian just had to run for their lives again because of the massacre. I find Lizzie's parallels with Chip interesting because sometimes it really feels like Lizzie was kinda of the less loved out the two on the Black Rose. Drey doesn't remember her (that's not really his fault cuz B.L.O.C.K but I'm sure it doesn't hurt any less). Captain Rose didn't leave anything for her on Onwnwa. We don't really know anything about Chey besides she's a cook and described as Lizzie's caretaker? I think the only one of the Black Rose that expresses some concern for her besides Chip is Roofus. I don't know where I'm going with this. But like when Chip said something about Lizzie is only going to find death in a war, it's true but like where does Lizzie channel all that anger, the passion, the lost love into.

She can't give it to the remaining of the Black Rose - they've forgotten her

She can't give it to her crew - she has to protect them because she's already lost two, so what's stopping life from fucking them over a third time

Idk the "Person who lost their love tragically seeks unproportional revenge" trope is done in a lot of stories but it really resonates for me with Lizzie because it's almost not even all about Ava. Lizzie mental state is literally a death by a thousand cuts 1. The Black Rose 2. Chey's Death 3. Whatever the fuck Shadowbeard did (Lizzie didn't say a lot about him but he didn't sound like a god person) 4. Then Ava

Spoilers ahead, y'all!

Whilst I did make a post about timelines and possible magic and extension of life, somehow, the simple explanation escaped me completely. Especially as someone who lives in Norway, where Winter is half of the year.

When were Lila and Jaysohn born, if they knew their dad half their life? Early Winter. Geoffrey probably died sometime right before Spring, where the snow is still thick and the air still freezing. Let's say, if the plot of the story takes place in September-October, Geoffrey died in March-April, with the kids born around December-January. It would, actually, explain everything. We know, from Viola, that these stoats don't follow normal stoat mating patterns; Viola is having her kids in Autumn. Therefore, who's to say Tula couldn't have Lila and Jaysohn in Winter? They're sapient creatures, who can think and plan. We also get the small glimpse that Tula knows that they may have some control over when they get pregnant, but not always. Who's to say it didn't happen to her, too? What if, that Winter was where Tula gained so much, and nearly lost everything in one moment.

Although, I still believe Ava is overestimating her own age just so she can get away with more things.

ava. man.... what a tragic bitch. she's been dead from the beginning of the campaign. she was in the navy, daughter of one of the vice admirals, part of the most influential navy family. she had a gay enemies to lovers romance with a pirate and then got killed by her own superior and then framed as a martyr. her younger sister jay then leaves the navy to go undercover as a pirate to find out what happened to her (all she was told is that ava was slain in a battle against pirates). ava is literally the 'haunts the narrative' archetype. she never once shows up, not even in a flashback, but the entire story is drenched in her lack of presence. she and her death and her image and her reputation are the motivators of countless characters in the campaign. her sister only joined pirates and then later betrayed the navy because ava died, her ex lover is starting a whole war with the navy over her death, there's multiple navy soldiers who have talked about how ava was the reason they wanted to fight in the navy, one of the main antagonists so far is ava's dad who is driven by grief, the list goes on. also she was a fucking badass.

I KNOW WE NEVER MET HER BUT SHE MEANT EVERYTHING TO JAY OKAY!!!!!!! SHE WAS SO GOOD TO HER!!!!!!!!!!!

She never has a single appearance in the show because she's dead but their absence effects every single character they left behind, including their little sister and their girlfriend (thats right, lesbians) she is also my favorite ever she must win.
