A/N: After @reallyrallyauthor sent me this wonderful ask of corgi BB being caried around christmas trees (pictured below) I had to run and write this. Title of course comes from the Taylor Swift song with the same name.

Modern!AU, corgi Beebee (kind of set in the same universe of this fall fic)

Twinkling lights and the smell of fresh pines danced around your eyes on that cold december day. Your nose began to freeze the second you left the warmth of the car, but after looking around and feeling Poe’s hand find yours, you knew it wasn’t going to be that bad. 

Just as it always goes on every road trip, Poe opens the door of the back seat and the usual ball of fur speeds out, snow flying around Beebee’s chubby body as he ran all around the lot packed with christmas trees. “He could at least help us find a tree.” Poe remarked as his arm settled around your shoulders, keeping the warmth close to your bodies.

“The tree he pees on is the one we take home.” Poe scoffed, pushing your hip with his. 

Finding the perfect Christmas tree had become your tradition. The very first weekend of the month you would drive to the same lot, drink the same mulled wine, and begin your search for the perfect tree.

The two of you wandered through the rows of evergreen trees, the crisp winter air tingling your noses and filling your lungs. Beebee ran ahead, leaving a trail of paw prints in the snow, making sure not one tree was left without inspecting it with his nose. 

Poe squeezed your hand, his breath visible in the chilly air. "You know, Beebee might be onto something with his method,"

“Told ya’, the one he pees on…” You chuckled, leaning into him.

“I know we always find the best tree but this time I want it to be special, bigger, fresher.” You looked up at him when he stopped talking, his eyes busy scanning the trees. The twinkling lights above shined warmly against his skin, letting you admire his profile in a silent appreciation, his head clearly going through a thousand thoughts as it always goes, even when it came to choosing a pine tree.

“And why is that?” You asked, even though you knew the answer; and he knew you knew, the way he turned to look at you told you so, with a soft smile and a raised eyebrow.

“Y’know…” All of a sudden he got shy, sliding down his arm from your shoulder to hold your hand instead - your left hand, the one that held the ring he gave you right on your fourth knuckle. Poe toyed with it, his mother’s ring had never looked so beautiful as it looked on you. “Years from now we are going to remember this year as the year. The year we got engaged, when we started the rest of our lives. I want our Christmas to be just as perfect as the rest of the year has been.”

“Of course is going to be perfect.” You stopped, stepping in front of him to hold his face with your gloved hands. “It’s the year we got engaged, after all.” Your twist on his reasoning made him chuckle, his hands pulling you even closer to him by your waist, letting his lips crash against yours. The cold air seemed to fade away, replaced by the warmth of Poe's embrace. As you broke the kiss, you couldn't help but smile at the realization that, with him, every moment felt special.

A distant bark broke you from your haze, and as you turn to find where it was coming from, yuou spotted Beebee standing proudly beside a tree, tail wagging, and a suspicious puddle of liquid right next to the trunk. The tree was gorgeous: tall, full of thick branches, and the most lovely smell coming from it. Poe bent down to ruffle the furry head, laughing. “Looks like we found the tree.” He confirmed. “You were right after all.”

“I’m always right, you should know that by now.” You winked, earning a quick peck from Poe before he disappeared to find someone who could help you pack up the tree.

Not long after it was all set, the tree was on the roof of your car and you had bought a few local snacks for the ride back in the small hut close by. It was there were you spotted Beebee, comfortably curled up in a ball right next to a heater. “No! Come on, Beebs!” Poe encouraged him, patting his leg to lure him out. “It’s time to go.”

“I don’t think he’s coming, love.” From behind his shoulder, you spot Beebee already falling asleep. “He’s cold, the poor guy.” You coo at him, his tail instantly wagging at the baby voice you save only for him. You don’t give it a second thought when you reach under him and carry him in your arms, his fluffy body cozily snuggling against your arms as you begin your walk back to your car.

"Looks like someone has found his cozy spot," Poe chuckled at Beebee's apparent protest against wanting to be back in the cold. “My cozy spot.”

You cradled Beebee in your arms, his fur warm against your gloves, and you couldn't help but share a tender glance with Poe. "Well, he deserves a little break, doesn't he?" As you made your way back to the car, Poe opened the door for you, and you gently placed Beebee on the back seat, ensuring he was comfortable. The small dog curled up, his eyes drooping as he nestled into a makeshift bed of blankets and coats.

Poe trapped you against the door and his body when he closed the door, a playful smile on his face as he kept closing the distance more and more. “You know, I am cold too.”

"A Christmas we won't forget, isn't it?" Poe chuckled against your lips and kissed you again, deeper this time, wanting to remember that kiss forever.

However, she got summoned WAY too early, and now has to assist her new Master in preventing the incineration of Proper Human History and resolving the Seven Singularities. This would be a lot easier if she didn't have to constantly worry about her lies about being one of the Tamamo Nine being exposed, or accidentally causing a time paradox or creating a Singularity out of this timeline due to acting on her knowledge of the Future. TLDR; Koyanskaya's misadventures being summoned by a newbie Master. For bonus points, because Alaya CLEARLY has it out for her or something, newbie!Ritsuka somehow also manages to summon both Ashiya Douman and Rasputin, so now Koyanskaya has to keep her coworkers from causing all sorts of mischief, which is distressingly often.

Paper Moon!Lev summoned Lan Ling because he was secure enough in his heterosexuality that he would not be effected by the servant's famous beauty. He was wrong.

in honor of melusine and barghest proving the servants do eat the mats you use on them (or at least some of them), servant mukbang serving embers and such. any servant you want and the stuff they need but i would like to see it. hear what they think of this stuff

Beast Guda but they're not a threat to humanity because their servants become their impulse control and push them away from any ideas that screw over humanity. For example, Guda: "With the amount of grails we have on stock I could wish for paradise for humans!" Morgan: "My husband. You forget those grails are for Melusine and Jack." (They're not she's making it up) Later... Guda: "I'm off to make a singularity to test some things out." EMIYA *with a spray bottle*: "oh no you don't! Oh no you don't!"

The otaku Servants are arguing over whose taste in anime is superior, and things are getting violent. Gudao is called to intervene, but he instead makes things worse because one of those HEATHENS had the gall to insult one of his favorite mecha anime. One thing led to another, and now Chaldea has weekly anime marathon nights, much to the bewilderment of the staff. Unbeknownst to everyone else, this was all planned out from the very beginning, and Gudao was in cahoots with the otaku Servants the entire time.

During a mission with Guda, Saber Gilles is ordered to protect some civilians that are under attack. One of the civilians includes a child, who thanks the servant for saving them. This gives him a lot of mixed feelings.

rey typically always has bb-8 ( sometimes d-0 ) regardless if it’s an au or not. finn + kylo are there as different types of characters, but typically in her life in some way. and in modern au’s bb-8 is a corgi or a shiba inu. d-0 is probably a dachshund, a beagle or a mutt of diff dog breeds and nobody knows what they are, but i can also see them as a cat.

Why A Berger Blanc Suisse?

Sometimes, we're simply attracted to a breed because of their eye-catching good looks.

I would be lying if I said that the overall image of the breed, evocative of the wild white wolf, didn't influence me. They absolutely did, and the White Wolf has been a personal Guardian Spirit of mine for decades. White Wolf has always been something of a Spiritual Brother to me, loyal and protective of me.

However, I will say that the noble stature and unfailingly loyal disposition of the German Shepherd is really what brought me down this path.

I've worked with a lot of dogs, and by far, the more wolfy or foxy the dog looked, the more I find my soul drawn to them. Spitzes, shepherds, collies, nihon-ken, corgis, these breeds and mutts belonging to them have always found their way into my heart.

But, being as experienced as I am, I am also no FOOL as to not study the breed's history, purpose, behaviors, and health concerns.

As much as I loved them and enjoyed working with them, the German Shepherd was never an option I considered. I had seen first-hand the result of poor breeding, which resulted in poor genetic health and deteriorated physical vigor. A breed plagued with orthopedic issues and mental health instability.

The original German Shepherds were chosen for working ability, which includes being intelligent, biddable, and loyal. But they were also developed from certain stock of German sheepdogs (which was more like a land race than an actual breed, probably from derived from similar ancestors to collies) because the original developer of the breed, Max von Stephanitz, was also selecting dogs that were strong and wolf-like in appearance.

There's universal appeal to the modern German Shepherd. In my opinion, they suffer from being entirely over-bred to keep up with the demand for uneducated buyers unprepared for their strong work drive. But they remain, as of 2023, the #4 most registered purebred dog in the AKC.

But, I'm not here to talk about the German Shepherd, really. I'm here to talk about the Berger Blanc Suisse. However, it should be stated that the history of the two breeds have been intertwined for so long, I would be remiss to not mention their history in the development for the BBS.

The first Bergers Blancs Suisses were really developing in Switzerland in the '70's from white German Shepherd Dogs from the US and Canada. They have only really been selectively bred away from the German Shepherd Dog for roughly fifty years. This makes them still very new, with a shallow (but trying to remain really healthy) gene pool, and trying to avoid and severe genetic bottleneck.

But in that fifty years, careful breeders have been paying close attention to their conformation and health. Most remarkably, the legs and back have been straightened, and they've eliminated the severe slope in the German Shepherd that has contributed so much to their orthopedic issues. Every good Berger Blanc Suisse is still screened for hips and elbows before being bred. And with companies like Embark that provide genetic analysis of health concerns, this invaluable information can make breeders and owners make much more educated decisions on whether their dog is suitable to breed.

They have bred the Berger Blanc Suisse to be less intense, less anxious. An excellent BBS is nigh unflappable, and truly goes with the flow. They are more suited for families than they are for military or police work, although a good BBS can do very well at any type of fun dog sport that it sets its mind to. But they retain the work ethic and loyalty that so attracted me to their ancestral breed.

I want a Berger Blanc Suisse because---

They are loyal.

They are good for families.

They are versatile.

They are empathetic.

They are eager to please.

They are very intelligent.

They WANT to learn new things.

They are good for hiking.

They are good for working.

They are a much healthier option than a German Shepherd, both physically and mentally.

They are generally less intense, with medium energy.

They will absolutely protect you if the need arises.

They are absolutely beautiful.

We owe it to Berger Blanc Suisse breeders to be educated, and Berger Blanc Suisse breeders owe it to their dogs to be careful, selective, and deliberate with their actions.

I may have to start taking commissions?? I'm hesitant bcuz I have other requests that from my coworkers that I never finished :(

[The thing that's stopping me] I feel like I'm not serious(?) enough to take on commissions bcuz of how often I don't finish them either. Like, I have to want it so badly.

The desire for some color grows thou.

I'm close to the point where I could make a furaffinity account + do furry commissions. Of course, I gotta build content + an audience there 1st. I can use my OCs, Delta, Rogu, + Lennox as like my furry ambassadors 🤔

aw, I just got an idea for fun. A Chase Young-inspired Kedzie. Another idea is to convert some OCs into furries. Thatll save me the time to come up with new OCs :P (unless I feel the need or urge to come up with an entire new identity).
