howdy howdy (: I was wondering, because I didn't see it in my (admittedly cursory) search, and wanted to know if you folks have insight or headcannons about the timelines of Isshin and Kaien, since the timelines of bleach hurt my head (affectionate). Like, who died/went MIA first, if they would have been captain/vice captain at the same time, etc. I wondered if Matsumoto might have been a VC for a least a brief time while Kaien was, too? Idk, I think it'd be cute if Rukia had a little Shiba Connection with squad 10. I just find the six degrees of separation in osul society very fun to think about haha. Maybe it was Kaien who first crashed on the squad 10 couch during fillers to hang w his uncle, idk! (or maybe they didn't know eachother at all. I don't remember if it was ever mentioned...)

I feel ya about the Bleach timelines making your head hurt. I try not to think about them too hard, because they don’t make sense. I’ve just accepted that Shiba stuff happened in the *hand wavy* past. And that’s all we really need to know for the Bleach that’s presented to us. However, it is an interesting exercise to see how the vagueness of the timeline(s) can work out in fanfic. I’ve seen people put Kaien’s death AFTER Isshin had already disappeared and that legit had never occurred to me. I also feel like even in the Gotei’s culture of not talking about anything, if Kaien had only died when Isshin went missing, which was relatively recently by Soul Society standards, more people might mention him in at least passing.

Personally, I’d always assumed that Kaien’s death happened relatively early in Rukia’s tenure in the 13th. Like, maybe 10-15yrs after Rukia started? Kaien had to spend all that time training her and whatnot, since she graduated early from the Academy and only had Kuchiki-Kumon for an education. He needed to give her all that applied on-the-job training! I recognize that if Kaien died that early on, it would be a long time for a division to go without a VC but I feel like Ukitake would do that, and he’d get away with it because he’s Ukitake. I also buy the idea of Rukia having to mourn this guy for double the time she knew him (if we’re assuming that it’s been 40 years since Rukia left the Academy and our story starts).

Also if Kaien died really early on in Rukia’s time with the Gotei 13, I think it would explain why she feels so isolated from everyone. She didn’t have any companionship for a long long time, since Kaien was her only friend. If he died recently I think she’d be slightly better adjusted LOL. There’s no way he wouldn’t have dragged her out to make friends in 30+ years of working together. I recognize there’s a deep irony of “if the death were MORE recent Rukia would be better adjusted in the canon timeline” but you know it’s true. Kaien just gives the impression of being someone who was very briefly really great for Rukia and then torn abruptly away.

Plus if Kiyone took Rukia to her first living world mission… lmao Kaien would have to have been so dead at that point.

Side note: I also kinda feel like Isshin and Kaien didn’t know each other that well. Like, they knew of each other as cousin-uncle-whatever but weren’t besties even though they both worked in the Gotei. I got the feeling that Isshin also wasn’t a captain for too long before he went MIA, so he was probably toiling in the numbered ranks while Kaien was a VC. Kaien was the Shiba golden boy after all! And no one talks about Isshin that way LOL. I do love the six degrees of separation in Soul Society though, so maybe there are more juicy connections to uncover.

UPDATE: All the Threnody elements are no longer canon due to Daria completely removing Threnody as its prequel series. 😞

Artemis: Yes! It’s Artemis Seraphvie! He has appeared first Threnody’s part 7. Artemis is definitely very crucial to the tying of both series and is majorly important now that we know he has turned Duke. (Nearly) every Threnody character has an anagram out of their name and Artemis’s is literally “The Vampair Series” I know he’s just going to be super important in Duke’s backstory and I CANNOT wait to see more. We also see a child Artemis with Thorem and Hafter in a portrait behind Duke in the very beginning of the animation.

Missi’s father: ALRIGHT SO WE KNOW WHO MISSI’S FATHER IS. Brahm Dumarias who’s handwriting is seen in a note on Duke’s wall, his name on a detention list with Duke’s on said wall, and also the picture of him and Duke right there. Later we see Brahm bully Duke with the other bullies (and in this shot we see Missi’s backpack on her father) ALSO in relation Duke recognizes Missi’s last name from her missing poster and THAT’S why he smirks in recognition! He got with he ex best friend’s daughter(s) haha sucks to suck Brahm

Duke’s father: BOY HOWDY AM I EXCITED FOR THIS ONE. SO behind Artemis the vampires are having a meeting and we see what looks to be Duke’s dad with an axe. I have some other evidence that it’s not just coincidence. Duke’s dad is a vampire hunter. 1. The axe is made out of silver. 2. Duke seems to live in the same castle as before so I wanna say that his father took it from Artemis in a fight or something like that. 3. Duke KNOWS how to use an axe and the axe in the showdown is eerily similar (not the same because the vampire hunter’s axe is double sided but still) 4. Why would there be a silver axe in a vampire’s residence to begin with unless there was a reason? His father it all matches up too well to be coincidental. In conclusion Duke’s father is a Vampire Hunter and quite a threat at that to be ranked C among their biggest threats.

Werewolves: Priority B is a werewolf not much to say here but my eyes are PEELED hehe

The Anger Cane: last but not at all the least. The Anger Cane. *Priority A* in the vampire’s meeting is finding the Anger Cane. Most of you know I’ve been saying this from the beginning that I’ve theorized that they are the same but it is theory no more because the picture of the cane (Duke’s future cane) is 1 for 1 the same shape as the cane from Threnody. We’ve known that they’re in the same universe for some time now but there is no doubt that the canes are the same with this irrefutable proof.

Ann's dream of becoming a supermodel to inspire people falls kind of flat because I think modeling is an important job and career but I don't.... connect it to like.... inspiration and stuff?

It's so odd it feels like I'm missing something.

But Ann herself, I adore. I would rank her as honestly one of the kindest people in a Persona game, genuinely good-hearted and just seeking a way to harness that.

Yusuke visited like every other day in summer vacation, so I got some premium hangout time and managed to max his Confidant out too.

After some more artist's block, Yusuke finally puts together a piece for the exhibition run by that one jerk who wanted to package and sell Yusuke like a brand. He takes first place!

TURNS OUT THAT THE WHOLE BRANDING THING WAS A FUCKING RUSE. The guy truly was invested in Yusuke's success as an artist and came up with the whole branding thing to get Yusuke angry and get his head in the game.

Sojiro truly is Best Dad, I'm with y'all on this at last. Sojiro, please adopt Reverie. That should be the no-romance end for Reverie, he just gets adopted by the Sakuras.

Casper and Emmy, two of my uncle's three cats who I am looking after

they are quite elderly and I've done a lot of vet work on them that they've missed out on, Casper in particular looks rough but rest assured I'm being the best foster mother I can (It's eyelid entropion and he had a dental abscess connecting to the sinus adding to the discharge; had that repaired)

he has a perpetual look of a man who worries that the coming rains will not be sufficient to grant him a bountiful harvest this year

emmy LIVES in my lap. yells at me if she is elsewhere. does the mobster 'myah!!!' thing if I pay insufficient attention. she weighs absolutely NOTHING. it is a very strange experience having a cat in my lap who is NOT so fat she cancels the blood to my feet

she has the zoomies for 100% of the time I am not holding her. she is made of fast.

I made her a throne for when I'm holding Genghis Kitty instead but this is not enough for her royal majesty

their brother, panda, who I've been doing the Introductions for because we want everyone living together and there's history of this guy trying to eat Casper like the marshmallow treat he resembles; so far so good aside from some occasional feline rudeness

panda was semi-trained as a therapy cat while boarding at a vet and boy howdy can you TELL. he is very forceful about his cuddles. he knows how to read people amazingly well. also has an unfortunate tendency to go out of his way to annoy the piss out of my cats because he knows he can (he was very much In Charge at that vet practice).

and, of course, my pre-existing cats, Genghis Kitty and Gandondorf the King of Darkness, who is a numbnuts extraordinaire. a lot of what I do with them is accounting for the fact that this boy pretty much has a revolving apricot seed where his brain was meant to go

Okay. So. This exists mainly in just a lot of DM chats between me and two of my besties. I have the smut fic that just got published, and then two fics half-written, and a third planned.

But the jist of it is:

Jim is a coyote shifter. Their family was slaughtered when they were very young, and Nana told them their entire life they were a wolf. Jim, grade A dumbass who really can't tell their own size when they're shifted and probably never really looked in mirrors or saw a photo, believed her.

Fast forward to their mid-late 20s, and they have been travelling on their own, basically homeless, for a while as they try and find the siete gallos - living mainly as a coyote.

They stumble across Ed and Stede's wolf pack. Through a fun series of events (that will happen in a fic hopefully someday) Ed notices them, and offers them food. And then slowly Ed and Stede and the pack kind of... lure Jim in with kind words and food and an offer of a job and help them find an apartment lmao. Like slowly bringing in a stray dog XD (this is. a theme. in several of my AUs)

There are also conversations that are essentially like - Ed: hey new coyote friend!! Jim: fuck you I'm a wolf??? Ed and the entire pack: 🤨 do you. Do you not know you're a coyote. You're fucking tiny. You're so small. Time to make an educational slideshow.

Jim ends up working in Oluwande's carpentry shop. It's a good fit. Olu is married to Frenchie in this one, but quickly becomes Jim's Best Friend Forever.

Ed - a goth trans lady - is in a relationship with CJ when Jim meets her. She breaks up with him because he's, y'know, still a dick.

Jim offers for Ed to move in with them when she breaks up with CJ and doesn't have anywhere to go. Ed accepts. However, Jim has a tiny one-bedroom apartment - and rather than like, y'know, getting a second bed, they just sleep in Jim's bed together. For months.

Eventually Jim realizes Ed is deeply in love with them, and they are with her, and they get together.

Stede in this one is ace/aro and Ed's queerplatonic life partner, and also offered Ed to move into the big pack house he owns, but, y'know, Ed moved in with Jim and slept in their bed instead :3

Other fun things:

Lucius as the laziest shifter, Jim thinks he's a human for like, six months, because he hates shifting and rarely ever does it

Jim and Ivan being besties who spar (obviously)

Pack puppy piles, at least once or twice a month they all hang out at Stede's house and sleep in a pile on the floor in their shifted wolf and coyote forms

There's a REALLY sad fic in the making where Jim gets hit by a car in their shifter form :3 because boy howdy i've been missing writing whump

But really mainly it's just Jim living their best scrungly little coyote life and finding a tall goth girlfriend and an extended family/pack along the way

There is a potential for Doug to become Stede's partner (Stede might be demi-romantic, I haven't super decided). He is The Token Human.

Anyway that's it!!! Or like, that's the basics. I adore shifter au's, and werewolf au's, and really hope that someday I get a few more less smut-focused (and also a few more smut-focused) fics from it out into the world :3

Hi if you got my last message I'm sorry for the repeat feel free to delete if you didn't because Tumblr decided to go "no <3" at the last second oh boy howdy it's me again devoted anon unmasked, if this ask feels shorter tireder I'm sorry it is tumblr is an evil evil thing, on to my girl she is called Zephyr a lengthened alternate to her canon name that she probably picked out herself probably from a book as I imagine Ambroy boasts a huge library. Onto the daughter. (also apparently Zephyr means gentle breeze so obviously mental image of her gently blowing on Ambroys ear to make it flick to wind him up)

Obviously from sketch to digital I missed things out because I didn't have the effort lmao, her scars from blood letting are probably hidden under her scales so if she's shedding there or pulls them back it will reveal the scars like the dragon heart dragons having those scars under their chest scales from taking out their hearts. She originally was gonna have major implied tail related trauma implying it was cut off and regrew yes I was gon imply it was cut off to be served but I thought that was too far but since her tail is nubby it likely did get injured at some point. Also I like to imagine her hair looks thick and wild and untamed? But also kind of flawless too. It's got a weirdly scaley vibe to it and the hair is probably a bit coarse, not like unpleasantly so just clearly rougher wilder almost. She usually manages her own hair via cleaning drying brushing it ect but secretly she does adore it if a staff member offers to dry her hair or brush it or just to play with it, she's touch starved and pretty woman want to touch her?? Play with her hair?? For real?? Makes her soft. She's very compliant to so if staff are needed to at least neaten up her hair they know she'll sit on the floor where they can easily reach to do her hair and sit good and still for them. The two tone color is cause I think it looks hella cool tbh it added dynamic to her and because she probably bled in her hair plenty as her horns grew in and idk mythos bled into her hair permanently dying it (though its more likely just weird power stuff like how Ambroy hair is golden hers went from brown to pink silver). Also her claws and horns are probably only metal coated and not full metal. Also idk if beans I just like the implied feral prowling stalking predator vibes of it she's an ambush predator ready to take down unsuspecting prey and also viciously hunt House intruders lmao there is mental image of her chasing some guy who broke in maybe scaring a maid and she came running hearing the maid scream absolutely hunting this guy like a wild beast thinking he was attacking the maid and for breaking in. Zephyr can have feral as a treat, as I said she's always a bit off and otherworldly a bit too feral despite the fact they should be civil, could revert to animal revert to quadraped lmao. Zephyr is always like 2 steps away from just turning into a beast and disappearing into the woods or in this case I guess kidnapping Ambroy her treasure now lmao.

Outfit time! And for me to be a liar lmao

She's a comfortable girl, definitely would prefer to dress like she just rolled out of bed. I think she'd have a very casual relationship with clothes, at first I imagine she wore very loose things growing up easy to slide up to access flesh for cutting or very tight constricting covering everything clothes when needing to hide her abuse and likely tight fashionable clothes when later living with Ambroy and probably to some extent dressed up by him for his liking and viewing to the point that when she's older she kinda goes eh fuck it ill wear what I'm comfy in not whats suitable for other people. This also somehow developed into casualness in nudity I suppose exposed stomach falling down loose trousers ect, I also hc she has a dressing gown she'll put on and wear with nothing else only vaguely tied to just about hide everything. I think at this point she just doesn't care XD though she won't obviously do this in public but cover of Ambroys home she can be lax but will respectfully cover up to not fluster the staff they don't need to see a tit ya know she respects them. She's sure Ambroy wouldn't mind seeing a tit, but like she'll jokingly pull her dressing gown over herself pretending to conceal and hide herself from him like no you cannot witness because he probably huffs at her for being so selfish to not share a tit. But just any lazy outfit you can think of she'd wear or own, she likely does have genuine outside activity clothes which are probably actually decent walking clothes I can see her enjoying long walks out climbing treks ect cause she's active or casual outside clothes for tea and biscuits and cakes when the weather is nice but nothing fancy like Ambroy not anymore too much effort. Her fashion is likely probably more similar to the I suppose common folk than the rich cause like common folk know how to enjoy comfort rich people just dress wildly and honestly dressing in common clothes is weirdly nostalgic not exactly comforting but feels right.

Now for my lies and deceit lmao, so I know I said no dress but also. What if one dress one time XD I thought itd be fun to have her in at least one dress outfit. She's probably wearing a corset brasier combo to thin her waist and adjust her chest hence her looking different. Ambroy probably asked so that people don't realise she's showing her age too, though Zephyr definitely asked the staff to be gentle with the corset she's not used to it so they couldn't tighten it as much as Ambroy would hope. This event is likely the reason she doesn't wear dresses anymore. She probably just, had a bit of a identity crisis as the knowledge of, these people are so much different to me, set in. She's not, from wealth or royalty or really even anything important sure shes apparently half something special but she was born into nothing and treated worse for it until she met Ambroy, she realises that she stands over everyone there how delicate and beautiful the woman are and how confident and assured the men are she's, not either she's much larger and yes she knows it's muscle she's strong could probably lift more than some of the gentleman here but compared to these pretty woman she feels so, wrong and out of place and she's not confident as much as she pretends she doesn't dare enter the dance floor her feet are too big her claws too dangerous her tail too in the way. Essentially has a horrible comparison to everyone else moment anxiety and stress rising because oh god she's so different just look she's probably got problems especially because she relates more with the lower class being born into that she can take care of herself while the higher class need to be served she knows she sticks out compared to everyone so she'd leave to smoke outside. Quite literally when overly anxious she produces smoke cause she can breathe fire as a treat and she probably just has a bit of an anxiety attack outside honestly everything was probably just over stimulating for her especially if this is the first event she's been to since fully developing into divine maturity she's only just finding herself her new 'real' self and her senses are likely overwhelmed with the music chatting dancing singing perfumes sparkling jewellery and decorations and heat of the room and just she's not been raised in this like Ambroy the odd event but not really made for it and would likely not go to anymore. She'd just tell Ambroy it's because she makes the room look cluttered and she shouldn't distract from his divine radiance and beauty like that.

Also Zephyr is probably about 7ft tall or something, as much as I want to make her stupidly tall I'm limiting myself but like you're free to play around with her height and design tweaking it for if its easier in art or for a certain aesthetic ect going full size dif or casual loom. I think canon human Zephyr is about 6ft close to Ambroy height naturally as she's my big strong muscular monster girl so obviously anthro dragon form needs to be bigger than him XD I like me height dif

I could definitely see Ambroys using her as a fashion doll for a while until she makes me clothing preferences known. He's unfortunately prone to viewing other people as accessories to complement his own outfits.

I like the details you included about her being uncomfortable in the high society company Ambroys tends to keep. Given her background, it makes a lot of sense (and considering the snakes Ambroys tends to associate with - and is - she's probably right to feel that way). I think he'd be torn on her bowing out of his dances and social events - on the one hand, he'd probably buy the excuse that she'd distract from his glory, and he does like being the most eye-catching thing in the room, but he does like to have an entourage so that people think he has friends. Ultimately, though, he wouldn't force her to go... though she may be forced to hear him complaining/gossiping about the proceedings afterward.

ok so MAJORAS MASK! I have the 3DS version, and I started it back when i was in highschool, but I didnt make it far (barely defeated the woodfall temple iirc). I just defeated the Great Bay temple and am starting Ikana Canyon, but here's... a rough summary of the journey so far under the cut!

i must have completely skipped the deku shrine the first time, or maybe blocked it out. hall of fucking misery. i had to redo this like 8 times

GORON TIME... i stopped somewhere after getting to this area the first time. The gorons are fun i love them.... rolling around also extremely fun.

also I love the giant terrifying masked smithy guy Gabora. I remember very distinctly laughing when i first got there and he flails at you grumbling indistinctly while the chipper shop music plays

this temple kicked my ass bc i thought i was just really really bad at navigation and remembering where things are (something very true about me, it's good i cant drive) but Really it was just because there was a trigger panel on the wall I didn't notice. teehee

i did the goron races several times.... i won it on the last day and then realized i'd need to do it on the first day to be able to upgrade the sword, so i reset time and did it again for the sword upgrade. but then.... baby goron and elder goron still said the same things so i thought I had to like... win again. i did not that did not change anything. I probably did this godforsaken race like 30 or 40 times.

also? kinda fucked up that they're expecting me to become their next leader and I can't explain anything. I'm literally just some kid, their beloved hero is dead, and as far as i know their beloved Darmani is just going to disappear again. Like- at least with the Deku, i know there is someone who mentions their son going missing and missing him, but at least it wasn't like... a community figure people looked up to who was missed.

I just happened to make it to the Romani Ranch too late to hear Romani's explanation of the Alien Ghost Things so i stuck around, and BOY HOWDY WAS IT AN EXPERIENCE when they just. started fucking descending.

I also did some stuff around town- I have the Keaton Mask (but i haven't finished this questline) and Kabara's Mask. I love that that one just, completely erases and make's Kabara's face just... a fucked up polyp on your head. 10/10

Mikau is a dweeb i love him. that said, just like with Darmani- FEELS WEIRD and bad that Nobody Knows It's Really Me and that he's dead and gone, and will just vanish. It's really tragic! Especially after getting Lulu's voice back! Fucked up!

Zora link's water movements are really janky- it feels like regular swimming, zora swimming, and charged swimming all work COMPLETELY different but it's not always clear when you're doing which- and the camera is very uncooperative as well, which was felt much moreso in the temple.

THAT ALL SAID I ADORED THIS TEMPLE. Def my fav so far- I know water temples are infamous for being hell on earth but I had fun with this one, and I liked the design of it a lot, and the minibosses were great- especially Wart! Looking around in confusion only to look up and make Eye Contact with a giant horrifying mass of little orbs. EXCELLENT

THAT ALL SAID PART 2. fuck Gyorg. I had to reset time in my first fight with him because the second phase took so long- and even then it still took like...an entire day of slowed-time. Having to wait until he gets close to mines only for him to more often than not only spit out piranhas was infuriating. I understand that a lot of the things I've complained about here are pretty 3DS specific port things, which SUCKS

anyway. ikana canyon time :) i forgot to say, but I got the Garo mask already doing the horse race to kill time for the Romani Ranch events. (Which i also had to try several times... minigames in this want me dead)
