there's absolutely no reason for tommy to look as skeptical as he does, if buck is being honest. tommy's face is gorgeous in an old hollywood way. not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and subsequently perfect because of it.

he watches tommy's face go from amused to straight up joyful, watches the column of his throat as he tips his head back and he laughs out loud, cheeks flushing pink, and god if that isn't the most beautiful sound buck has ever heard? made even more beautiful because buck knows how hard he had to work for his joy, his ease as he moves through life. tommy kinard is a weightless being and it shows in the way he navigates the world, deliberate in his intention to experience everything about life to its absolute fullest.

moments like these, he wants to look around, see if anyone else in the cafe is as aware of tommy's beauty as he is but he always decides against it. number one, he already knows from experience that no one is actually looking at him, at them, and, number two, even if they were, it wouldn't matter. he's all buck's anyway.

tommy shakes his head, laughter quieting. "you're ridiculous. of all the things to lust over."

"oh, okay, laugh it up."

but tommy's eyes are soft and fond, despite the teasing. or, okay, maybe partly because of it. buck's boyfriend is a bit of an asshole, after all, but that's okay. he'll happily be the butt of every single joke if only tommy would keep looking at him like that, keep smiling at him like he's the answer to every question he's ever had.

tommy leans across the table into his space, voice lowering like they're the only two people in the world. he hums, eyes searching buck's face, and leans in, pressing a gentle, brief kiss to his lips.

"god, i love you."

buck's voice goes breathy like it's the first time he's ever heard it. "yeah?"

"mmm," tommy hums again. "i love you, you beautiful..." kiss. "...ridiculous..." kiss... "...hilarious..." kiss. "...kind of odd..." kiss. "deeply intelligent..." kiss. "...overwhelmingly sweet man."

he finishes with one last kiss to buck's mouth, and buck has honest to god butterflies in his stomach when tommy pulls away and sits back in his seat. eight months in and being kissed by him still feels the same as it did the first time—still feels warm, and safe, and beautiful, and loving, and... how did this happen?

"uh." he blinks a couple times to clear his head, to focus his thinking. not like it works, not when tommy is looking at him like he hung all the damn stars in the sky. buck clears his throat. "well. yeah." a beat. "but i'm your idiot."

and it's so cheesy. if given the opportunity, buck probably could have thought of a million different sweet and sexy things to say, but, at the end of the day, it's true. he's tommy's in the same way tommy is his.

tommy rolls his eyes, but he's smiling, his nose scrunching up even as he takes his drink back. he takes a sip from his straw without blinking, swallows the rest of the thing down like he didn't order it specifically because he knows buck likes to steal his drink, and. god. buck is so in love it fucking hurts.

tommy reaches across the table and takes his hand, the last traces of humor smoothed away and replaced with nothing but aching sincerity. "yeah," he says softly. "yeah. you're my idiot."

You gaze lovingly at your boyfriend as he goes into detail about how to preserve severed tongues.

“So the fact that this unsub is purchasing equipment actually shows a lack of medical expertise, since he seems to be going overboard with preservation measures.” Spencer’s nodding as he talks, a tiny scrunch between his brows. “It’s pretty silly actually. It’s probably only a matter of time until he figures out he just needs to keep them on ice.”

Rossi’s eyebrows raise, and Morgan chuckles quietly.

Spencer blinks, eyes refocusing as he comes out of his brain and back into the conference room. “What?”

“Did you just say the unsub was silly?” Prentiss asks, and his eyebrows refurrow.

“Did I?”

“Let’s stay on task.” Hotch is all business. “If he were as inexperienced as that would suggest, he probably wouldn’t make clean cuts. This skill level indicates some level of expertise.”

“Well, actually, I’m not sure it would necessarily be medical expertise,” you say, cringing at your own knowledge. “The process he’s using doesn’t sound dissimilar to how I think they preserve cow tongues. Maybe he’s preparing them to eat.”

You’re doing your best not to squirm, and Spencer can likely tell, placing a slender hand on your leg under the table. “That’s a good point,” he says, “he could have experience as a chef or in the meatpacking business.”

Prentiss frowns. “Yeah, but how many chefs know how to preserve tongues?”

“Maybe we could start by looking into restaurants that serve those kinds of delicacies,” JJ suggests.

“Good.” Hotch closes his binder, standing. “Garcia, you get started on that and we’ll touch base with you from Atlanta. Wheels up in two hours.”

“Yes sir.” Garcia looks a bit green—you sympathize—as she hurries out of the conference room.

Morgan’s giving you one of his knowing looks, collecting his things extra slow, until finally you sigh. “What?”

“Well, actually,” he mimics, lips curving into a grin. “You and pretty boy must be getting serious if you’re taking on his signature phrase.”

You roll your eyes, but Spencer smiles, looping his crossbody bag over his head. “Actually, language style matching is only one form of mirroring. If you’re paying attention, people who spend a lot of time together can mirror each other down to their breathing rhythms or how many times they blink within a minute.”

You look at him interestedly. “So what does that mean? Just that we’re spending too much time together?”

The look Spencer gives you threatens to liquefy you with its softness. “There’s never too much time.”

Morgan’s laughter is hooting, and you want to find that as cheesy as he does, you really do, but the place within yourself where you usually reach for sarcasm has gone mushy and useless. You rearrange some things in your bag unnecessarily, head down to hide your blush.

“Wow,” Morgan sighs happily, “I don’t know which one of you is more whipped.”

This would normally be your opportunity to think of a retort, but luckily you don’t have to. JJ pops back into the room, looking frowny.

“We just got a call from Atlanta. The unsub killed again overnight.”

Spencer grows serious. “He’s accelerating?”

“Yup.” She nods. “Hotch wants us there now, so it’s wheels up in twenty.”

You and Spencer nod in tandem. “Sick.”

Morgan’s eyes roll straight up to the ceiling.

when he kisses your lips the tension leaves from between his brows, the irritation that might've built throughout the day is leaking away, and all his focus is on you and your pretty, pretty lips

keigo takami

shouto, in his soft and loving moments (almost all his moments) will kiss the side of your head, right at your temple. he isn't the best at expressing himself, but he loves you more than anything and wants to take all your worries away. when shouto kisses your temple, he acts as if he's pulling all the negative thoughts from your head, trying his best to pull together his own thoughts and voice them against your temple, filling your head with his adoration for you.

izuku midoriya

izuku's body is stacked with scars and freckles and he knows how they might make one insecure, but yours are so beautiful and empowering that he makes it an effort to kiss each one of your scars and moles/freckles/blemishes whenever you need it. except, to him, they not blemishes per se, more like your story. they say your moles are where your lover in your past life kissed you the most, i don't think izuku would genuinely believe that, but he still loves to kiss the moles scattered on your body saying something like, "i'll be yours in every life, love." and your scars, he knows all of their stories, he'll kiss them and comfort you, telling you how beautiful and strong they make you.

tamaki amajiki

IZUKU MIDORIYA;

He's so surprised first of all, like this poor baby is so in love with you but the fact that you love him back?! He's absolutely over the moon.

You might be surprised when I say this but not a lot of people are surprised at the fact that the two of you are dating—because of course the adorable dork who can never shut up pulled the chill, calm popular girl.

You're the first person to decode his mumble language, and just nod along like it's completely normal

speaking of his rambles, you just happily listen and let him rant until he realizes he's ranting and then he stops and looks at you so calmly smiling and listening and he almost passes out because he's overwhelmed by feels.

"I think that Kamui Woods would probably be the best match for her, you know considering the fact that he could use laquered prison to—" Izuku cut himself off when he realized he'd been ranting on about what hero vs hero matches would be cool to see and who would win.

You're sitting in front of him, the ends of your lips quirked up slightly as you swirl your favourite drink and look at him. "Something wrong, sweetie?" You ask, tilting your head slightly to the right as you rest it in your palm.

"I–I'm sorry," He quickly apologized, freckled cheeks tinting red as he felt your gaze stay on him, "I–I've been ranting, and–and you must be bored... I'm sorry."

"I didn't say that," You reply calmly, "I like listening to your rants—they're cute, and not to mention informative."

His already big green eyes widen even more. "R–really? I mean are you sure?"

You let out a soft chuckle and nod. "Mhm, now, will you tell me about how Kamui Woods would beat Mt. Lady?" You ask, giving him another soft smile.

Izuku visibly brightens as he happily continues his rant.

KATSUKI BAKUGOU;

How? Just how?

That's the first thing people think, because why would someone as cool and calm as you date someone as hotheaded as him?

Everyone around you is so confused (Denki literally brain-fries himself trying to understand.)

But then they see the way you stare down Bakugou without even flinching and manage to calm him down and all of a sudden it just clicks.

It's not really a rare occurrence—Katsuki's shouting his head off about some algebra equation Denki doesn't understand.

"What is so hard to understand, you damn dunderhead?!" The explosive blond shouts, practically jumping over the table towards Denki.

You're sitting in the library with the rest of the BakuSquad and have already been warned twice to keep it down.

"Katsuki, calm down," You say, looking up from your own homework.

He turns to you with an annoyed expression. "I'll calm down when this idiot stops being so damn stupid."

You match the glare he's giving you. "We're going to get kicked out," You reply, placing a hand on his arm to pull him back, "I'm sure Denki will understand whatever you're trying to explain to him if you just chill out."

Bakugou glares at you for a whole minute before huffing and falling down in his seat.

Everyone at the table stares at the two of you in disbelief. Katsuki just glares at them, as if he's daring them to say anything about what just transpired.

"So, Denki," You continue, turning towards your blond friend as if nothing out of the ordinary happened, "What is it you didn't understand?"

KAMINARI DENKI;

He's your polar opposite, and that's what makes it work

Kaminari is known for his cheesy pick-up lines and dumb flirting tactics, so when he tries one on you he does not expect it to work at all

but then it does??!!? (his brain malfunctions ngl)

Oh boy, he's drowning you with cheesy cards, pick-up lines, etc just to hear that cute little giggle again (he prides himself on the fact that he's the only one that can get you to giggle)

The bell signalling the second break rang ten minutes ago, but you're still sitting at your desk.

He leans his head on his palm, blonde hair falling in his eyes as he stares at you full of admiration.

"You know it's all your fault right?" He says, with a small smirk on his face.

You know your boyfriend well enough to know he's up to some stupid shit, but you decide to bite anyway. "What's all my fault, babe?"

"Global warming, it's your fault," He smiles like he didn't just accuse you of something like warming up the entire earth, "Because you're so hot."

You blink twice and then shake your head in disbelief. "You can do better than that," You reply simply, turning back to your notes.

Denki sees this as encouragement. "Oh yeah?" He asks in his most flirty voice, placing a hand under your chin, "Well, I must be a snowflake, because I've fallen for you."

Now, granted, this pickup line is even worse than the first one but it's just stupid enough to elicit a giggle out of you.

a/n : this was honestly really fun to write and think about. i think all the boys have this boy-ish vibes to them and i just know they'd all be whipped around someone they like

ー heeseung would act as if he's already dating his crush. he'd get possessive whenever other people hit on them, he'd address himself as "__'s boyfriend" whenever people asked who he was to them. he'd talk about them like he's been married to them forever. he's the type to send them messages like "when are we getting married?" or "so how many kids should be have in the future?"

ー jay would be pretty quiet around his crush, he's more the type to stare at his crush whenever they're talking or laughing. god he loves your laugh, he could listen to it until he dies. i can see him being quite a romantic when it comes to confessing, he might want to confess to you over dinner or during a sunset, something real romantic yk. i just know he'd have a whole speech prepared that took him weeks to write because he didn't know how to put into words his crush on you.

ー jake would be a mix of both shy and flirty. he might want to try an impress who he has a crush on, or show that he's interested but get shy right after. i can see him as the type to talk about his crush to layla, just full on ranting about his feelings to her. he's definitely the type to send you cheesy pick up lines. you can't tell me he also wouldn't be super touchy around his crush, always fixing their hair, or trying to hold their hands. the type to tell you that you have an eyelash on your cheek just to be able to "brush it off" only for that to be an excuse to touch your soft skin.

ー sunghoon likes to act all cold and cool around his crush. he'd want to have this cool boy image, but as you get to know him, you'll realize he's a true softie and he's whipped. his crush has him wrapped around their finger and sunghoon is definitely aware of that. ask him at 3 am to come and get ice cream together and this boy will be at your doorstep in less than 5 minutes.

ー sunoo would get all shy around his crush, especially if his crush is more of the straightforward type. simple compliments like "i like your sweater" would make him all blushy and smiley. he'd pay attention to every thing his crush would say, and remember the smallest of details. you said you liked his sweater? the next week, he got you the same one in a different color.

ー jungwon would be the softest, cutest human being around his crush, not even kidding. he'd want to tell everyone who he's close to about you. he definitely talks about each detail about you to his grandma and he has such a boy-ish smile while doing so. he'd buy you little gifts like necklaces or matching bracelets with handwritten little letters, one of those letters being his confession.

ー niki would be similar to sunghoon in the way that he would want to have this bad boy image around his crush. but at some point that facade will slip and his childish, playful self will show. after that his goal is to make you laugh and have fun with him. he finds so much joy in hanging around someone who he feels completely comfortable to be himself around. he'd probably ask you out by writing one of those notes where its like : "i like you, do you like me? yes 🔳 no 🔳".

absolutely yes i can, just hope whatever i come up with is what you had in mind :)

- Hands. Ever since they first caught you staring at their hands they've been constantly doing things to try and make you flustered. She sometimes "accidentally" brushes her hands against your arm, or your thigh, or your neck. He tucks stray hairs behind your ear or innocently grazes your neck with his cold fingers, knowing exactly what they're doing. They constantly gesture when they talk, although somehow they've picked up the habit of doing it even more around you. Casually grabbing your hands during conversation or resting her hand on your knee while you talk, it all drives you crazy and you're starting to suspect it isn't all so innocent after all.

- Physical touch, they love touching you all the time. Hugs, kisses, just tangling their hands in your hair when you're watching a movie or holding hands in public. She loves the little things like snaking an arm around you waist when the two of you stand together, or planting soft kisses all over your face in the mornings, they never let you have a single second when they're not clinging to you, and frankly, you love it.

- Again with the clingy-ness. He doesn't like being away from you for long. They bring you to interviews, parties, hell even when she's filming for a show or a movie they try to bring you on set with them. Whenever he has to be away for longer than a day, and even then, the two of you FaceTime almost constantly, you tell them all about your day and she tells you all about hers. You would talk to each other so much that he'd end up leaving his phone on a chair to let you watch as they performed and recorded scenes. Of course, when she returns from her trips, you always wait for them at the airport or wherever they get off and once they come out of the gate you're bombarded by hugs and kisses and promises that he'll never leave you again; Which of course, you know that isn't true, people have to work and pursue their passions and you wouldn't dare stand in the way of them being happy, but in the moment, it's just comforting to have him back in your arms after so long (probably less than 48 hours tbh)

- He likes to annoy you, it ties in with the clingy-ness really, but they just absolutely love making you flustered and bothering you with whatever's on their mind at the moment. Of course, you would never tell her for fear that she'd stop, but you love it when she "bothers" you. You would be walking around your apartment, bored out of your mind and they would come right up to you, calling you cheesy nicknames or making dad jokes and smiling proudly to themselves at making you laugh.

"Sweetheart? What does a bee brush its hair with?" They would yell from the kitchen, fighting a giggle as they did so.

"I don't know, what is it?" You would yell back, already knowing the answer but not wanting to spoil her fun.

"A honeycomb!" He'd say in response, before immediately bursting into a fit of laughter.

With them, it was always the little things, and you would never, ever stop loving that about them.

Hii its me again the anon that asked for sensory representation! I was wondering if you would be able to write for sniper, scout, pyro and/or medic with a s/o who loves physical affection (isn't vocal about it until asked) but when the affection is not initiated by them, they tend to flinch or jump.

Basically unless s/o is the one to start the physical contact they get jumpy when someone else touches them. And they're not jumpy for any bad reason(like past abuse or anything) they're just not used to having someone else touch them affectionately.

Hopefully this isn't too much or too dark. This kinda reflects me, as in im not used to getting physical affection from others unless i start it.

Sniper, scout, pyro & medic with an s/o that likes to give physical affection

Sniper:

TRUST he will not do a thing without your explicit permission, he’s already internally worried about scaring you away.

So when you initiate contact, he won’t do it back unless he knows you’re aware he’s doing it + he KNOWS for a fact you’re okay with him reciprocating it.

He loves your hugs, but he will be warn you not to do it when his back is facing you.. he has a little PTSD and he’s constantly paranoid about being attacked from behind.

He will always expressly ask before initiating physical contact, whether it’s hugs, hand holding, cuddles, or etc.! He loves you terribly, and he thoroughly enjoys getting snuggly with you. Which he’ll remind you of, every single day.

Scout:

He doesn’t intend to forget about this, but he will here and there. Like he just gets.. so excited to see you, and he just loves you a bunch! All he wants to do is scoop you up and love on you!

But once you flinch, he gently lets go with a soft apology. He knows you won’t be angry at him about it’s but he is aware that he can be a little suffocating with his affections.

And while he’s incredibly relieved that your reactions aren’t a trauma-response, it still makes him pretty sad to think about you having such a lack of physical contact from other people. He literally thinks you’re the coolest person imaginable, (besides tom jones.) he doesn’t know how other people don’t think the same way as him.

But mid-way through your relationship with him, he’ll begin to keep himself more in check. Communication and verbally-set boundaries will become a must, he never wants to make you feel as though your boundaries aren’t important.

Pyro:

Very similar to scout, they LOVE physical contact in all its forms. And they may also forget from time to time you get a little jumpy at suddenly-initiated physical contact, but unlike scout, this will be a more rare occurrence!

Pyro will always return your affections in an instant, even kisses! though they can’t really kiss you with the mask on, they’ll just bump the snout of the mask on your lips or cheek.

As for initiating, they have their own way of asking without using words. Like holding their arms out for a hug, or showing you their hand to ask to hold yours, or pointing to their mask to signify they want a kiss.

Though in the rare instance you’re not wanting affection, no worries! they’ll back off instantly, 9 times out of 10 they’re just happy to be in your presence.

Medic:

The king of never crossing boundaries, every move he makes on you is carefully thought-out. And he’ll never surprise you with his touch, either by directly asking or giving you enough time to react before initiating contact.

His favorite way of doing so is after a long day of work, he’ll be at his desk and will open his arms out for a cuddle- just so you can sit on his lap for a little while, without the possibility of anyone bothering the two of you for a while.

That, or just laying in bed with you! he always likes to have you facing him while you cuddle, just so he can admire you. Despite the cheesiness of it all, he can be a really romantic guy given the chance.

He makes it his personal mission to make up for all the years you’ve gone without anyone seeking your affection, by giving you as much affection and patience as humanly possible.

boo talks: i wrote this late on tuesday (when it was still coups birthday) so think of this as a late happy birthday and my little intro to possibly doing more than just smaus (tho probably heavy on the smaus still - they're a lot of fun).

love is weird. it’s complicated. it’s simple. it’s hard. it’s easy. it’s everything and nothing. all the feelings and at the same time none of them.

falling in love with choi seungcheol was easy. his laugh. his smile. his passion. it’s easy to fall in love with someone who does nothing but bring others joy, who does nothing but show exactly who he is to those around him, making sure they know he cares.

being in love with choi seungcheol was hard. the constant pounding of your heart whenever he was around. the constant amount of sweat you produced. the constant feeling deep in your stomach that you could never be certain was what everyone called butterflies, or if it was wasps―because no matter how tingly the feeling was, it hurt.

confessing to choi seungcheol was simple. despite the clammy hands, the constant biting of your lips, and the fact that it felt like your heart would simply combust, it was simple. three words that rolled of your tongue easier than you had ever anticipated. three words that felt like they lightened the load you’d had on your shoulders ever since you first realised your feelings. three words that meant everything: ‘i like you’.

dating choi seungcheol is complicated. keeping a relationship secret is always complicated, but even more so when one half of that relationship is a kpop idol. whilst the sneaking around will always bring a bit of adrenaline to any relationship, at some point it gets exhausting. not to be able to tell the world you love someone, not to be able to hold their hand whenever you like, not to be able to show them the affection they deserve at every waking moment.

but you both manage.

especially on days like today. where you don’t have work and you can lie in bed wrapped around each other for as long as you like, with the very exception of a dog that needs to be walked. thankfully, kkuma knows her owner needs his sleep when he can, or at least, needs the opportunity to not have to get up the moment he wakes.

you know he’s awake when you feel the loose arm around your waist tighten its grip, pulling you close. you don’t turn around, don’t alert him to the fact that you’re awake. you don’t react when you feel his lips against your neck, a soft peck because you know he can’t help himself. the hand around your waist caresses the skin there, rubbing soft circles that has you melt into his embrace.

the smile on your face gives you away.

“so you are awake,” he whispers.

you nod as you turn around. he kisses you the moment he can. a chaste one that lingers. “sleep well?” you ask, knowing he didn’t fall asleep until hours after you went to bed, knowing he didn't fall asleep until long after you.

“always do with you in my arms.”

“cheesy,” you say. “are you sure? i noticed you got up at some point.”

seungcheol shakes his head. “thought you were asleep?” he sighs as his head falls back to hit the pillow. “but yeah. i slept well, just maybe not a lot.”

“better than nothing, i guess.” you find his hand underneath the duvet and intertwine your fingers. “at least you can sleep today. as long as you like.”

“what time is it?”

“eleven.”

“i have to walk kkuma.”

“i’ll do it.” you smile at the expression he sends you. “but you have to actually try to sleep in the meantime.”

“will you come back here and lie with me?”

you press a kiss to his lips. “of course.”

“okay.” he closes his eyes, but the arm around your waist doesn’t let go. “don’t be gone too long.”

“i won’t.”

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Shows affection with physical touch and of course through music when he can't express it with his words. He's quite romantic but not in an over the top or cheesy way. He's the type to quietly admire you from afar. He doesn't need to explain himself, he just acts on his admiration for you.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

If you also have a creative streak you bond over that, and it doesn’t necessarily even have to be music. Could be Art, or could be fashion. Either way you guys influence each other and act as the other’s muse even before you realise there are any romantic feelings.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

On the sofa at home when it’s just the two of you watching a movie or your favourite show.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Eli is an amazing cook and he loves to make dinner for you both (when he’s not taking you out to eat). As for cleaning ehhhh not so much...

I think he maybe would settle down eventually, but not right now when the band is in its prime and still has a long way to go.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

You're able to work through the issues brought on by touring and being long-distance for several weeks, but the biggest dispute you both have is about settling down. After having several arguments you eventually both decide that the relationship isn't going anywhere and its for the best that you just break it off. He'd be hurt for a few days, sulking in his room and playing the blues on his guitar.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Again, probably settle down eventually but just not anytime soon, if he’d even want to get married. He might just want to stay with you without the marriage part.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He can be soft spoken when it's required of him, particularly when you're sick or upset. His physical touch is never rough or demanding, he’ll always give you the same energy you’re giving him.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Maybe not full hugs but I think at any opportunity he’ll have an arm around you. Stood out in the smoking area? Arm around you. Talking to someone? Arm around you. At a party? Arm around you.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

I feel like he writes it in a song for you before he actually says it, but you know he means it because his music means so much to him that he wouldn’t write a song for you if he didn’t mean every lyric he sang.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Not jealous of every guy who even looks at you, more jealous in a protective way. If a guy is talking to you and very obviously trying to flirt or making you uncomfortable he’ll swagger over with the mildly threatening “can I help you mate?”

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Sneaky kisses in public and kisses for good luck before shows. I think for him it’s the lips or nothing, although occasionally you’ll get a forehead kiss or a peck on the temple, especially if you’re shorter than him.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

If they're young enough to tolerate being held then sure, but once they gain the instinct to constantly move and run around he's a little out of his depth. Too much energy for a man who just wants to sit and smoke quietly. Growing up with three siblings he knows from experience how kids like to play fight and just generally be rowdy but he doesn't have it in him to be the one to tell them to settle down.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Every morning whichever one of you gets up first can be found making breakfast in the kitchen, hair smelling freshly of shampoo from the shower.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

If he's just come back from tour you can expect there to be lots of just aimless cuddling for hours while he tells you stories and shows you pictures on his phone from tour. Once you get into more of a routine you catch up on a series together or stick one of your many vinyls on until you fall asleep.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Eli is a flirt, sure. But he keeps a lot to himself (well, when he isn’t writing it in songs at least) and so it would take a good few months for him to admit his feelings I feel, if you haven’t already beaten him to it.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

I do think he’s an arguer. When he’s been on the road for a while and he’s tired and missing you, little disputes start over little things, but you’re both very quick to kiss and make up the next day and talk over whatever it is you were arguing over. Over the course of your relationship he gets better at clocking when he’s getting heated and needs to take a breather and you’ve found that less arguments have started this way.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?

Eli is always looking for endearing little quirks about you to put into a song. You've started becoming mildly conscious of how you word your texts or what you say in a voice message because there's always a chance it'll become a lyric. I think he's one of those mysterious people, where you think he doesn't remember or doesn't listen when you're rambling about things you're passionate about, but then he'll surprise you a month later with a gift so perfectly sentimental that lets you know he's taking in every single word.

R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)

When you got high together for the first time. It was such an intimate moment, the way you guys talked and laughed until you eventually fell asleep, asking deep questions and telling stories from your upbringings. You’d never felt closer as friends than that night.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

That man is not afraid of confrontation and will fight/argue in your defence for sure. The only thing he asks for in return is that his privacy is respected of course.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Of course you both contribute and each do your fair share of date planning but I feel like he’s reaaallly good at it (when he has the free time to do so). Dinner, picnics, walks you name it, this man is a soppy romantic deep down.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Aside from smoking (as good as he makes it look) I think maybe not cleaning up after himself (I.e leaving his guitar lying on the sofa after a late night songwriting session, not putting vinyls back on the shelf after finding one he wants, various leads and cables misplaced around the house from when he gets an idea he wants to record on the fly)

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

I feel like he washes his face with a dirty wet towel but has a load of shit to put in his hair and spends a lot of time in front of the mirror just fluffing up the curls.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Not necessarily. I think he’s very secure and confident in his own independence because of course he knows he can’t bring you on every tour with him, but knowing you’re cheering him on and supporting him even without physically being there means the world to him.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

When you told Eli you’d be out of town on the date of their gig in your city he was disappointed to say the least. Since you two had started seeing each other you hadn’t had the chance to see him play live yet (aside from the mini acoustic sets he serenades you with at his house). What you didn’t mention though, was that you were out of town during the day sure, but you’d be back by the evening with plenty of time to make it to the gig. You knew he’d put you on the guest list already, in the hopes that you might still somehow be able to make it, so all you had to do was turn up, flash your ID and enjoy the show. For a brief moment you had your doubts, worried that he might not spot you in the crowd and would leave immediately after the gig without even saying goodbye. But lucky for you that turned out not to be the case at all. You’d slipped away during the opening act to fix your makeup and upon leaving the bathroom with a fresh face you walked right into him in the corridor. The look on his face was hilarious and he made sure you got to watch the gig from side stage.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Probably someone who doesn’t understand work-life balance and doesn’t support the band, holds him back from achievements/success simply because it doesn’t suit them, always wants him to blow off rehearsals or interviews to hang out. I feel like also someone who’s really jealous and hates any girl that glances in his direction.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

You’re always bound to wake up with an arm in your face for sure. Sometimes he just forgets to come to bed altogether and falls asleep on the sofa, guitar on his lap or set down on the carpet after one of his previously mentioned late night songwriting sessions.

Hello miss lolly! I've got a little huntlow headcanon I was hoping you might be able to help me flesh out. I don't think Hunter thinks of Willow as "cute"... at first. I think when he starts crushing on her, it's because of a lot of things: she's beautiful, she's strong, she's confident, she's kind, she's strong, did i mention she's strong? etc etc. "Cute", to him, is what flapjack and the other palismen are, what pretty pastel colors are, maybe the outfits that Willow wears, but not her herself. But! Willow IS cute! All her friends know it, even SHE knows it! So at some point, probably during their time in the human realm, Hunter absolutely HAS to see her doing something cute or dorky that makes him realize "oh, she's adorable." My question for you is: what is she doing that makes him realize that? P.S. If it wasn't completely obvious, I am a HUGE fan of you and your writing -- I love your fics and how you write huntlow! you're awesome!

I think one of the most adorkable things Willow canonically does is how she talks to plants. Like when she calls a flower "little friend" in her debut episode, or when she tearfully says goodbye to a tree in Escaping Expulsion. And of course, that scene in ftf where she gushes over grass and then gets all giggly when the illusion sprites cuddle her. Hunter was shown to go very soft for her during that part.

It's established that Willow tended to Camila's garden during their time in the Human Realm, with Hunter's assistance. I could see her fawning over each individual plant.

She gasps dramatically about how brightly the sunflowers shine and then drops to her knees, all like "Your majesty! Am I even worthy to be in your presence?" After that she whispers to Hunter that sunflowers are extremely vain and enjoy flattery, making him smirk.

She gets very silly around the plants. She likes to entertain them, so she puts on ridiculous voices when she speaks. She tells dumb cheesy jokes to the shrubs which only makes herself giggle madly until she has tears in her eyes.

Judging from that one scene in TTT, Willow has been growing dangerous bitey boiling isles plants during her time in the Human Realm. The ones with the teeth and a hunger for flesh. My headcanon is that Willow is very Steve Irwin-like when it comes to the monstrous plants. She finds them adorable. Absolute beauties. She coos over them like they're fluffy kittens.

Imagine her sitting in the garden with one of her most beloved monstrosities, tickling its petals and going "Who's the sweetest cutest prettiest plant in the world?? Is it you?? Is it youuuu~? As she cups its head in her hands and nuzzles it against her face. And because it adores her, it happily nuzzles back.

When Hunter sees her acting like a ridiculous little dork around her plants, the cuteness aggression makes him ACHE. She's too much.

he is absolutely head-over-heels for you. during his mail shifts he waits for the exact second he can come running over to you. and when he finds you, he wraps you up in a big hug! he missed you!

such a sweetheart- a bashful one. this man is so kind and respectful and just adores you head to toe. so whenever you surprise him with a kiss (or two!) he just completely malfunctions! "o-oh! w-woah there-... uh thank y-you... oh gosh did i say thank you? what am i doing I'm talking out loud and you can hear me ok im just g-gonna be quiet..."

loves kisses and cuddles. biiiiiiigggg cuddler right here! he'll just consume you with his big arms and place his head ontop of yours. very warm too, soft and warm. again with the kisses, if you pepper his face with them, he'll start blabbering cute lil southern boy gibberish. and he's just so sweet you cant possibly tease him for it.

leaves sweet little notes and letters for you all over the place. your pockets, bag, fridge, desk, bathroom, kitchen, wherever! he writes to you especially when he wants to say something a little more romantic, he's far too shy to attempt to say it to your face!

has to constantly be near you. holding your hands, his hand around your waist or shoulder, sitting as close as he can to you, etc! he just loves to be around you, and wants to make up the time he misses being with you when at work :)

always tries cheesy little pick up lines on you. he thinks they're the most wonderful things and you cant help but smile when you see how happy and excited he is to share them with you. he's just a big ol sweetheart who wants to shower you in love!!!
