just finished watching the live action osomatsu-san movie and it was pretty good!! it was really funny, the sets were really cool, and the actors were all really good! (though jyushimatsu ended up being my favorite hehe ^^)

Writing has been hard for me lately. A lot of things have happened in the past year for me that damaged my zest to write. But that passion doesn't ever truly die, I think, so I'm doing my best to pick myself and continue doing what I love. So here's my contribution to Karamatsu month. A very candid conversation and a gentle reminder.

When Karamatsu had asked you to take a walk with him, you initially had thought nothing of it. Often you two would walk Akatsuka Park together; you, because you enjoyed the benefit of being able to clear your mind with some fresh air, and he because it was how you two met, so it held a special place in the grand scheme of your friendship. 

“Ah, does the air not smell so wonderfully crisp?” Karamatsu inhales, stretching his arms out as his lungs take in the cool afternoon air. You get lost in your own breathing for a second, “Just the season for it too,” a small smile ghosts over your lips, “I love this time of year.” 

Karamatsu hums in agreement, arms crossing over his chest as he slides his eyes closed and walks with a purposeful blindness.

Your mind shifts to light conversation, “How was your week? Anything new with your brothers?”

His chuckle is airy as he peaks an eye open toward you, “Raucous as ever - but how could they not be? We share the same fire in our blood after all.” 

This made you laugh as you recalled that same exact “fiery blood” getting them in trouble with Chibita just the other night. Karamatsu hears your laughter and mirrors it, thinking of his brothers and their antics - antics he’s very much always a part of. He recollects the memories that have permanently altered his life; how he wouldn’t trade them for the world. Yet as you both walk, a chill runs through the leather of his jacket. The reality of his adulthood creeps up and reminds him that even this situation - spending every day of his adult life with his brothers, living without much to care about, or even the luxury of getting to have these walks with you whenever it pleases you both - may be temporary. But such is life, isn’t it? Shouldn’t a man his age strive for independence and distance so as to be free of burdening his family? Karamatsu tucks his hands into his armpits, a certain vulnerability striking him now. You feel the difference in his attitude almost instantly.

“Kara…you okay?” 

His answer doesn’t come right away, though he still walks with you without missing a step. His signature shades have slid down the bridge of his nose a tad, revealing the troubled look of his downcast eyes and knitted brows. In searching for a response he remains silent; though this renders to you as him not having heard you. “Karamatsu…?” you call out again, worry lacing in your utterance of his name. 

The wrinkles in his brows grow deeper, “Am I…a burden?” 

The timbre of his voice was far lighter than normal, hesitance coating his words in a way you weren’t expecting. You tilt your head with some confusion, not understanding his question as it’s phrased, “What do you mean?” 

The cedar hues of his eyes drift off to the side as though he meant to avoid your gently bewildered expression. 

“I just…I think of my brothers…I think of how we’re still living at home,” he chews his lip as he continues, “We’re adults…and yet we rely so heavily on our parents.” 

You nod as you take in his words, the idea of what he’s trying to ask beginning to formulate in your head. Karamatsu removes his hands, looking down at the guitar-worn digits, “I…” the sigh he lets out is palpable, “I feel like I have nothing to show for myself or my future. I need to know when I’ll be more than just…this.” 

Your heart sinks as you see the hurt show in full bloom on Karamatsu’s face. It’s a subject of conversation you often avoid with him, not out of dishonesty, but because you’ve seen what the call of independence has done to his family in the past. It’s a sore topic, you know this. Yet your hands find one of his own, enclosing the now tightly grasped fist and gently easing his fingers open to accept the warmth of your comforting ones. 

“Those are answers that take time…no one ever knows right away what their future holds.” 

Karamatsu looks on at the delicate hold you have on his hand before finally locking eyes with you. 

“Give yourself time and grace,” you say softly, “You’re exactly where you need to be…and the people who love you are happy to have the time with you that they do.” 

He swallows thickly at your words, there’s a kindness to them he feels he doesn’t deserve - but he absorbs each letter nonetheless. His free hand unfurls from its frustrated grasp, coming to blanket your reassuring touch with his own, thankful, one. He loses the ability to speak for just a moment, but he silently prays that the sincerity in his eyes reflects how grateful he is for you. You lend him a bright smile, tugging on the same you were still encasing, “Come, let’s finish our walk before it gets too cold.” 

The weight that on his shoulders shakes free of its hold as he’s yanked forward a hair. He stumbles before he remembers to walk accordingly, and he finds his steps feel lighter now. The pleased silence between you two doesn’t last long as he inhales once more, “Ah…”

Seeing him return to his usual self brings you joy, but that is quickly replaced with playful annoyance when he says, “I must be rubbing off on you, darling, with how poetic with your words you’re becoming,” the statement paired with the glint of his grin and his arms flared out in a dramatic display. You can’t stop your eyes from rolling though it’s easily accompanied by affectionate laughter, “If you say so, Karamatsu.”

The Matsu's preferred weapons (Medieval AU)

There's a Hesokuri Wars set about this exact topic. I wanted to share my thoughts on it!

Osomatsu

Osomatsu is the one you'd expect to have a normal sword by default. I mean, why wouldn't he? He doesn't come across as the kind of person who'd be too strategic or picky about his weapon of choice. As long as he gets to do stuff, he'll roll with whatever!

So... the staff gave him a lance. And, you know what? There's really nothing wrong with that. It's different from the usual "Osomatsu gets the basic option" trope that HW had going on. It looks cool and it makes sense that he would use a weapon like that, but... Come on.

Osomatsu is a simple man. I think a standard sword is perfect for him. He can even have a shield, too. As a treat.

Besides, I have my reasons (it's only one) to give the lance to someone else.

Karamatsu

As for Karamatsu… Yeah, the long sword is perfect for him. Completely agreed with the (kinda? Is HW canon?) canon choice. Of course he'd use something big and eye-catching. Maybe he'd even try to customize the damn thing. Make it sparkly or have his name inscribed into the sword's metal.

Alternatively, I think double swords would also be a great choice for him. He'd get to do some sick poses with his swords while he fights. Surely he'd use some convoluted fighting style that looks like a dance; exaggerated, but deadly... Or, at least, he thinks it looks like that.

Also: Two swords, he's the second son… Yeah. It checks out.

Choromatsu

Remember the lance? Yes, the one I mentioned like 10 seconds ago. I just happened to have the perfect excuse to hand the thing to Choromatsu.

You see, the name "Choromatsu" comes from the japanese onomatopoeia "choro-choro." It apparently means "the way children and small things move around quickly". Can you already see where I'm going with this?

I can just picture this 5'3 king, ramming into battle with a pointy, sharp lance. I'm pretty sure running away from his problems is Choromatsu's favorite thing to do, so he'll have no problem using this weapon since it involves a lot of running!

I can also see him using a bow, which is as much, if not more, of a classic weapon than the lance itself. But let's face it, Choromatsu with a lance is way cooler (and it's unique and meaningful, too).

Ichimatsu

A crossbow is an interesting choice for a person like Ichimatsu, who is often portrayed as someone of very low energy. I like it, yes… But consider, whatever the hell is this:

Ichimatsu can be lazy sometimes… But not when it comes to violence, I think. Is this anything? I'm pretty sure he'd enjoy the absolute carnage that comes with using a weapon like this.

Jyushimatsu (no way, there's no yellow?! I'm sorry, Jyushi!)

The HW staff gave this man an axe. A giant one at that. He is an absolute unit and I can totally respect that, I love me a good axe representation, but… It seems a bit out of character to me. Am I the only one?

Jyushi can be violent, yes… But an axe? That feels excessive. Also, I just don't understand how the staff missed the opportunity to give him something like this:

Look at it. Now, look me in the eyes and tell me it doesn't resemble a baseball bat even JUST a little bit.

This was the obvious choice for him, so why did they not give him a [whatever the hell this thing is called]?

Perhaps it was too gruesome? I mean, it can't possibly be more gruesome than an axe, right? Also, this would have made for a excellent visual gag. It would have been perfect! Oh, how it hurts to have such big brain that only has objectively correct ideas!

Todomatsu

Finally… Totty. Oh, Totty. What a sneaky little rat you are.

I'll admit that a shield with spikes is an amazing choice for him. The thing is heart-shaped! Very cute. Very cute, Totty… While the combo of a sword and a shield is an absolute classic and doesn't look bad on him at all, I must say…

Let's give this man a dagger and see what happens.

"Ah! Oh, no, I've fallen!" Todomatsu whines, curled up on the ground of the battlefield. With fat tears in his eyes, he tries to shield his body with his arms. "And I don't have a weapon, oh! Whatever shall I do!"

And then, when somebody approaches… BOOM. 37 STAB WOUNDS IN FIVE SECONDS. YOU'RE DONE, BABE.

He'd be an absolute menace with a dagger. Maybe the staff knew this. Maybe it IS for the best that he doesn't have a dagger.

Karamatsu is not narcissus (analisis of character part 2)

Assuming that Karamatsu's behavior is not entirely a game, then we can assume that he really does have a personality disorder, namely...

Histrionic personality disorder.

This is where the interesting part comes in and why Karamatsu is considered a narcissist when in truth he is not.

The fact is that HRD has similar features to NRD, but has a number of significant differences. The term “narcissist” is much better known than “hysteric”, hence the confusion.

As in the case of NPD, a person’s main need is to always be the center of attention, the personality is also self-centered, however, for a hysteric, receiving attention from others is an end in itself. The narcissist, on the contrary, attracts attention to himself in order to demonstrate his superiority.

The next obvious difference is the absence of problems with empathy. Narcissists can show it, but only externally; internally they are not capable of compassion.

So, who are the hysterics? These are very extravagant, bright personalities who strive to attract attention to themselves in every available way. Moreover, attention can be different from love and admiration to anger and disgust; they will be happy with anything as long as they are noticed. When they are not noticed or ignored it causes discomfort.

Features of behavior. In speech and behavior they are similar to theater actors, they are prone to vivid displays of emotions, their speech is dramatic and, as a rule, figurative, impressionistic, grandiose, but at the same time not specific and contentless. The intonation of the voice is also dramatic, the voice can be comically cartoonish, childish or seductive.

His outrageous behavior most of the time irritates Ichimatsu in particular, while the others try to ignore him. In fact, Ichi reacts more than others to his ridiculous phrases and antics, despite the fact that he expresses this through anger and irritation, but this is still the attention that Karamatsu desperately needs.

Also, the main way to stand out from the crowd is appearance. They choose bright, extravagant, revealing outfits that often border on absurdity. Let's remember his T-shirts with his own face, shiny pants and boots, short shorts and cowboy hats, sunglasses that he wears even at night.

For narcissists, being ridiculous, funny and stupid in the eyes of others is humiliating and like death.

Causes of HRD. Lack or complete absence of attention in childhood and adolescence.

Karamatsu is from a large family in which he could not get enough love and attention from his parents, in high school he was a lonely, quiet child whom no one noticed, he had no friends, which also left a mark on his mind and brought him to creating your dramatic self.

If we briefly compare these two personality types, narcissists are vain, arrogant people who consider themselves to be among the elite, hysterics are clowns who are not ashamed of being clowns.

I'm more inclined to think that he's just pretending. With my analysis I wanted to prove that even pretending Karamatsu does not behave like a real narcissist.

Headcanons for Nozomi Takahashi x Karamatsu Matsuno:

Nozomi, being the wealthy girl that she is (see my personal headcanons post) would probably give Kara gifts or whatever he needs, whether that be new clothes or shades. Kara always ends up being a flustered mess, feeling so unbelievably lucky that someone's willing to do so much for him. Expect him to give Nozomi all of his love!

Kara's "painfulness" doesn't bother Nozomi. In fact, she loves it! Karamatsu does pick up of this, and often uses the most romantic lines in his arsenal to make her blush (she's also easily flustered). Sometimes, she even plays into it, which makes Kara's ego SKYROCKET.

Their relationship is so very soft. Karamatsu always reassures Nozomi of how much he loves her, even dropping the cool guy act to genuinely tell her how he feels. Nozomi is always there to support Kara, telling him how cool he looks and how she doesn't find him painful.

They look eachother in the eyes a lot. The loving gazes they give eachother are so powerful, they can communicate their love just by staring at the other.

Kisses? Long and gentle, with forehead touching and sweet nothings galore! The cuddles are the same, and they often fall asleep due to these cuddles.

Karamatsu may not be the most wealthy, but he tries his best to set up amazing dates. Like stargazing at a park, or even a date at Chibita's oden stand (hopefully he doesn't have debt to pay off)! Nozomi really appreciates the effort, and she sometimes sets up dates, usually to gardens or libraries, and occasionally a nice resturant.

If Nozomi's reading, expect Kara to quietly sit next to her and ask about what she's reading. He loves hearing her voice, so he'll listen to her talk with the most lovestruck expression on his face (HEART EYES!!!)

They play duets together, with Nozomi playing the piano and Karamatsu playing his guitar. When one starts playing, the other follows, their melodies complementing one another. They also serenade eachother with their music. Kara's songs focus on the lyrics, which acknowledge her qualities and appearance. Nozomi's songs have no lyrics, instead focusing on her feelings towards Karamatsu, and how loved she makes him feel.

As expected, Karamatsu gives Nozomi the most romantic of pet names (my love, my honey and my princess are common ones), while Nozomi's are usually Karamatsu or Kara (or Karamacchu if she wants to be cute) or mochi (referring to his squishy face). When she's feeling romantic, she'll call Kara "my prince" or "my knight" (which makes him WEAK for her).

I'll add more if I think of anything. You can add headcanons too, if you want!

Where is their favourite place to be?

They really don't like being alone and home is usually where no one else is at so maybe other people's houses. I'd say matsu residents but I mention it too often I think so I'll mention Mizuki tends to also bug Totoko from time to time and try to help out w her idol career w small tasks and all that. Totoko doesn't really care why Zuki hangs around as long as their useful. Mizuki also has bugged Chibita and really looks up to him for advice and actually hangs around his oden stand when no one's around to keep him company if he wants it. And then there's Akita's place (im considering keeping her name Akita at this point cause it's amusing to me), she and her band mates stay in inns for a while or sleep in their cars but Mizuki still occasionally tags along, hangs out or spends the night like a sleepover. Akita and Chibita I think worry about Mizuki's attachment issues and reads them very well but Zuki never budges when questioned so the cycle continues of them going everywhere but home.

simple answer: their favorite place to be is with their friends (wow what a lame answer, max)

What makes them feel safe?

...Karamatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Akita are the only thing that really makes them feel safe. Mizuki believes that anything bad can happen at any second and just sorta goes "welp what can you dooo?" and just accepts the anxiety and all, but when around any of those three, Zuki feels they can relax a bit more because they feel they're good at catching things they fail to notice (stuff in social interactions or when a place is sketchy) and that they can somewhat defend them if something happened. Kara is less of a protective thing and more and emotional thing, they feel safe being honest w him and feels like he understands their issues without passing judgement (i am sorry if you think he is capable of defending someone, I do not have enough faith in himmmm)

How do they handle competition?

They're laid back mostly and more playfully competitive, even w Jyushi, they get intense sometimes but they mostly just have stupid fun w it and pretend to be angry because they don't wanna admit they're being affectionate. I think Oso would occasionally bring out the worst in Zuki and they'd kick his ass before immediately apologizing about being mean (he pretends to be hurt or upset but eventually laughs about it, probably tease them over it, then tell them it's fine and whatever).

What do they like to do in their spare time?

Play games, like simple easy games or farming town gamess (animal crossing and stardew valley are best examples but theyd prob play pokemon occasionally and love all their pokemon sm). drawing as mentioned in the prev ask post. and probably hanging out at malls or shopping for new outfits, they don't understand fashion for the most part but they like looking at stuff anyway and enjoy just wandering around aimlessly.

She's 5 ft 4 in (i hc the matsuno bros to be 5 ft 7 in, so shes 3 inches shorter than them ^^)

Her outfits come in different colors! Her shirt and socks can be either black or white, and her dress can be blue, red, purple, pink, yellow, green, or black! :) (also her shirt can be short sleeve or long sleeve, and her socks can be thigh high, knee high, or ankle high!)

Initially did not intend for her to have connections to the moon (part of her last name 'Tsuki' means moon, the bunny charm on her phone) but in the middle of making this ref i was like 'eh why not'

Dekapan is the one that created her, so hes kind of like her weird dad

She has a big crush on Ichimatsu, but to be honest she has a crush on all of the Matsuno bros hehe

She moved away from Akatsuka to go to college, but moved back to do some of her studying and assignments back home (also she was feeling very homesick)

A running gag is that her major changes each time she talks about it (in the beach episode she says her major is photography, in the super detergent episode she says her major is painting, continues ad nauseam)

Her favorite season is winter! (fall is second, spring is third, summer is fourth)

I'm mainly refering to her with she/her pronouns right now, but she also uses they/them and it/its!

Her relationships with the characters:

Osomatsu: He just loooves hanging out with her lolol whenever they all hang out in a group Osomatsu is the first to try and take a spot next to her. They're usually on the same wavelength, always able to connect with each other, but sometimes Ai can get pretty fed up with whatever antics he tries to pull. He always ends up getting nervous whenever they have one of their deep one-on-one talks.

Karamatsu: Ai loves his "painfulness", but she sometimes has her limits lol. Usually tries to help him write songs, and they like to sing together. They're both very supportive of each other, playing off of each other's energy.

Choromatsu: He tries to be so polite and formal in front of her despite knowing her since they were kids. Ai tries to get him to loosen up, and he's gotten a bit better at being himself in front of her.

Ichimatsu: They're in loooooove, they wanna kiiiiiiss~ ehehe, but besides that they both connect with the fact that they love their quiet time, and also cats. Ai is very understanding and patient, and that both comforts ichimatsu and freaks him the hell out.

Jyushimatsu: Ai cannot keep up with him, but she tries. At least he helps her stay active! They just both like making each other happy, whether that means going out to play baseball, or staying inside and doing some paper craft (with Ichimatsu's assistance)

Todomatsu: Besties :3 they message each other a lot, and Todomatsu is always lowkey asking her out to do things with him. Usually though, either just the two of them go out or Totty's older brothers end up tagging along. They mutually vent to each other sometimes just to let out some frustration, and they trust each other enough to keep secrets between them.

Totoko: Good friends, though they don't always see eye to eye. But thats mostly because of confusion on Ai's part at the antics Totoko tries to pull. She thinks its really cool that Totoko is an idol, and Totoko always insists that Ai could be one too, but they both dont want her to be one for different reasons (Totoko thinks that Ai would be more popular than her, and Ai doesn't like the idea of singing in front of big crowds)

Iyami: She thinks he's skeevy as hell, not much else to say. Always finds a way to get angry at him, even if he hasnt done anything wrong (at the moment)

Chibita: Also good friends, they both admire each other for what they do. She always leaves a big tip whenever she eats at his oden stand to show her appreciation (and to hopefully make up for the sextuplets' tab they have yet to pay)

Matsuyo and Matsuzo: They love her, don't know what their sons did to deserve such a nice friend who is also a girl (kind of). They simultaneously hope that she could maybe start dating one of their sons, and also think that she could do so much better lol Ai is always bringing them gifts and helps around the house, she almost gave them a heart attack when they came home to a squeaky clean kitchen after Ai and the sextuplets had made dinner together for them ^^

Dekapan and Dayon: Her creator and his weird maid/friend/lover? They're basically her weird estranged dads. They barely interact, except for rare moments when she needs emergency maintenance

Hi! First of all, I love your content and it's always interesting to read your headcanons <3. Secondly, to celebrate pride month, can we have headcanons of how the boys would react if a friend/partner/brother came out?

osomatsu would be as supportive as he can be in his crass kinda way. he might not really understand a lot (especially outside of gay/lesbian/bi/binary trans) but he would do his best to listen and understand. he definitely would take a while to really Get It but he would eventually understand enough to not say something accidentally offensive. patience is key with helping him understand anything that he's never had to put much into before

karamatsu is definitely the most supportive of the brothers, as he's taken the most time to really understand himself and other identities. even if you were still just figuring yourself out and were like "hey, i think i'm this, but i'm not 100% sure" then he would still be there for you and would listen to everything you needed him to. will probably try to be a therapist if he feels he needs to, so setting boundaries with him on how much he's able to help would be great

choromatsu is probably the most closed-minded of everyone, but he does come around - it takes a while, sure, but he's the one that's been the most headset on "being the best son." to him, thats been get a job, get a wife, raise a kid, provide for parents. he's a lot more understanding with his brothers and others he isnt romantically interested in, but when it comes to a crush/partner it'll take him a little longer to really let it soak in. (he'll likely also end up talking to karamatsu in hypotheticals, since he's more worried about his "best son" image than he is about his partner's identity.)

ichimatsu is another one who is pretty understanding, though he'd be a little spooked at first since he isn't used to people trusting him with that type of information. he's another good one who, if he's comfortable enough with you, will just listen to whatever you say as you try to figure yourself out. he understands a lot about not being really aligned with any binary, but also not really having a "complete" label, but he'd still need things explained a little slowly sometimes

jyushimatsu just doesn't really care about this kind of stuff, but in a positive way. he'll need to be reminded sometimes but he catches on pretty quickly to new names and new pronouns. he's next to karamatsu in being the most supportive, even if he isn't quite sure what you try to explain to him - he'll just be happy that you're figuring yourself out, yknow?

todomatsu would maybe be confused at first, especially for things out of the binary - but he wouldnt be as crass as oso would be. he would sit and listen and do his best to understand, likely even asking for things that he could research to try and understand more so that you wouldn't have to spend too much energy teaching him. part of it would likely be for his social media presence (its important to him) but the other part is genuinely to try his best to not say something to hurt anyone

Yakuza Choromatsu x Viridian/Self Insert (Part 1/2)

Doing The Books Real Properly

Choromatsu's got a temper; one that's reputation precedes his status as third born is the Matsuno family. Second to none in terms of sheer violence, first in adhering the hierarchy and maintaining tradition. He enjoys the violence, the adrenaline rush, the blood, the screams and most importantly he enjoys being needed. Choromatsu never feels more sparkling clean, shimmering in the light, beacon of beauty when he stands conducting an orchestrated symphony of carnage. It's because he loves his family after all! 

So it's one of Choromatsu's many jobs to chew up and grind out the few weeds that sprout up seeking to join the yakuza. Any application that slips through the door at the real estate building goes through Choromatsu's hands first and if someone manages to make it past Choromatsu's interviews then they'll have to train under his tyrannical heel. 

They walk in, Choromatsu tests them out. How hard of a punch can they take? If they can take pretty good one and manage to keep their teeth without crying that they'll do anything for him to stop Choromatsu takes his recruits out for drinks and food. He spoils his lil bros rotten to be honest, making sure his juniors are trained right from the beginning in the etiquette because it's not their pinkies on the line - it's Choromatsu's. He won't let his subordinates take the cut unless they're a lost cause. 

But most people don't make it past Choromatsu's first tasks but you breezed through it. When Choromatsu met you with a fist pulled back he kinda just weakly lowered it. Couldn't punch your gut, just wouldn't feel right. He ended up still going through with it. He wasn't trying to double you over or anything, just make sure you were serious about joining. You fell over and gave Choromatsu a thumbs up from the ground. 

Most people quit a week in but you seem excited to come in each day and not only that Choromatsu finds himself softening up around you. You follow most of his instructions and that's the most important part. 

"Good morning, aniki." You're bowing to Choromatsu early this morning and usually Choromatsu would bark at you to shut the fuck up - who told you that you could speak to him first?! And if you didn't greet him first Choromatsu would shout about how it's polite manners to address your superior. 

The correct answer is to silently bow but you're new here. "G'mornin, Viri." Choromatsu says gruffly, "Just stay quiet and only bow next time. You don't wanna pull that on the Boss, alright? S'not good manners." Choromatsu scolds you and you nod. 

Choromatsu sighs out of his nose when he fully enters the office. There's a lot to do this week and several projects that'll need to be attended to. Osomatsu’s a bit busy because it seems like Karamatsu's getting of of jail soon, Ichimatsu's dealing with keeping the lawyers in check so Karamatsu's appeal goes smooth, Jyushimatsu's got to entertain Miss Totoko and Todomatsu's dealing with acquiring a new development. 

So that leaves this laundry list of shakedowns for Choromatsu's lap. What a pain, but at least he's good at this kinda shit. "Hey, kid." Choromatsu calls out before he finishes flipping through the documents. You hesitate for a second, "Viridian-san." That's right. You get nervous if Choromatsu doesn't address you by name. 

Usually in these situations Choromatsu wouldn't bother with remembering or calling someone by their name but he's definitely going soft. "Yes sir?" 

"Did you ever get those brass knuckles I sent?" Choromatsu asks when he gets up to shred the documents. You pull back the custom suit jacket sleeve to reveal the knuckles hanging loosely off your fingers. 

"You been practicin your hook?" Choromatsu asks while taking stock of his inventory. The clip is in, he's got another in his pocket and the gun's safety is firmly on. This is his favorite gun, Choromatsu thinks as you show him your swing. It's a bit sloppy but it'll do. 

You don't seem much like a fighter but it's okay, this is for practice after all. "Looks a lot better, let's go." Choromatsu doesn't need to give this to you - he shouldn't. He shouldn't and yet when he hops off the corner of his father's desk Choromatsu hands you the gun as he walks ahead. 

Do you know? A bead of sweat trails down into Choromatsu's collar when he reaches the door. He trusts you but has no reason to. Choromatsu put his life in your hands, right now he could turn around and see that gun pointed at him. His favorite gun and his favorite recruit. You could shoot him right now, backstab him and put a bullet in his spine and Choro gave you the ammunition. 

He gave you the consent. You're jogging to catch up to Choromatsu, "Thank you aniki." You never thought of betraying Choromatsu and he can hear it in your voice. It's hard not to exhale with relief.
