haven't been able to cook something rlly good or eat my favorite foods in the way that I like them recently and it's doing horrors for my mental health. I would honestly settle for Kraft mac n cheese and dino nuggies rn (I don't like Kraft brand mac n cheese and much prefer homemade but that's ridiculously expensive and dino nuggies are fine I guess but I prefer something crisper like popcorn chicken or McDonald's nuggets)

AESTHETICALLY, I posit that TRICOLOR ROTINI is the PRETTIEST. It is COLORFUL, is frequently used with a bunch of COLORFUL veggies, and therefore BEAUTIFUL. It has an aesthetically pleasing SPIRAL SHAPE - a spiral shape I know for a gd fact has lots of little crevices for MORE SAUCE RETENTION which means it is WONDERFUL because HOLY SHIT I WANT MORE SAUCE.

TRICOLOR ROTINI is followed shortly by whichever novelty MACARONI SHAPE I find hilarious and entertaining, Kraft had DRAGON MACARONI ONCE.

I want to write an extensive post (some people might call it an article) about depression food. As someone who has struggled w depression + cooking for one (=spending more on food) I wish i could express my thoughts as someone who used to be the “what to coo k when you’re depressed” articles kind of audience . Nobody ever considers how you don’t get to have fresh groceries all the times. Seething at the most of “10 minute meal” google result which still often times so much above you energy level levels never mind cleaning up. The nights I’ve spent starving myself because it’s the easiest way out. Concerning on par of all these chefs who think they know what a depressed person of capable of and what they can’t do.
