Another late post, but here is my current doll diorama on display! Same scene, but a few less dolls this year lol. This time it features my two "Barbie on a Budget" Haunted Beauty dolls (ghost and vampire), plus two witches (I always tend to use that redheaded one lol). I do intend to tackle the Haunted Beauty zombie at some point; I just have to figure out how exactly I want to go about it, and if I want her to have old/dirty clothes or do a different approach. :D And of course, my famous little jars of various potion ingredients are included! I love those things!

Why yes, she is enjoying her goblet of blood :D
Mini apothecary jars and other witch items like books, candles, etc.:
Finally got my cauldron the way I wanted - with the green liquid! :D

Here's an idea- a ring holder made from Barbie legs and a jewelry shelf made from old dolls.

the barbie movie contains both the human need to 1) be a funny silly musical gremlin and 2) listen to our own thoughts and feelings without undermining ourselves as we navigate a world that makes absolutely no fucking sense
it's also about living as a woman because holy fuck isn't this shit messed up (the oppenheimer movie is proof of this)

I finished this one for a beloved coworker to give as a christmas gift. I can't wait to see what she thinks of it.
Pattern found here
For the back view and my thoughts on this piece, read more below
I actually found this to be a super easy piece to work on. Its only 3 colours and I worked on 14 count DMC Aida cloth. I didn't even have to move my hoop!
I did make a couple of small mistakes that no one wil notice unless they are compairing my work to the original pattern. Which means I don't really care.
I also mildly ignored the exact placement of the "Confetti" and instead chose the "Good Enough" method of placing all of it. Its not something I'm going to lose sleep over LOL.
I am really happy with how this piece turned out. Its been washed and ironed. Now I just need to measure it and go find a frame to put it in before wrapping it up!

Project 9/? for 2023!
In honor of the Barbie movie, I made an entire sweater 😅 (and also saw the movie with my beloved friends this evening- no spoilers, but highly recommend. I laughed, I cried, I Experienced Emotions; 10/10).
Pattern is the Be Thankful Cardigan by Lily Kate France (and the second time I’ve made this pattern!)
The skirt is from @mayakern and is absolutely perfect imho!! ✨💖

This Aro Week, I'm continuing my adventures in making handsewn aro-themed clothes for Barbie and other one-sixth-scale fashion dolls with my personal favourite pride flag--the allosexual aromantic flag.
Today's post details updates to my original cardigan, legging and trouser tutorials, a new one-shoulder top, and a guide to colour pairings when sewing clothes to suit multiple pride flags.
