time for a quick history/etiquette reminder

history: jiro is often viewed as one of the founding pillars of superbat as a ship. they produced a number of doujins/fanbooks (some of which can be found on certain scanlation sites, as well as resale markets, if you know where to look) until they were caught in overseas censorship crackdowns and they were sadly forced offline for their own safety years ago. they haven't reappeared or been heard from since, to my knowledge. (sidebar: artist greg capullo's stylistic similarities to jiro often result in people mistaking one for the other and the "greg capullo is secretly a bara artist that draws superbat yaoi when he's not contracted by dc" running joke is one of my favorites~)

etiquette: it's very tempting to just post whatever shiny/exciting thing you just came across, but before you do so, please try to do a bit of digging to see if it actually belongs to someone. stride/axuan does not appreciate having their work reposted, and neither do most other artists. a simple reverse image search will often lead you to the original creator of the uncredited/reposted piece that caught your attention and you can retweet/reblog/etc directly from them!

a lot of us have been here for a very long time and are happy to share our collective fannish knowledge with curious newcomers...all you need to do is ask! ❤️
