Summary: A pod lands near the 100, introducing the group to a new addition. Contact with the Ark seems imminent, but not if Bellamy can help it.

You wake to the sound of amazed teenagers.

Ever since landing on the ground, and sleeping in a tree, you wake up to the quietest of sounds. It’s reassuring to know you’d likely wake up during an attack of some sort, but it didn’t often result in a good night’s sleep.

You climb down from the tree and stop near a group of delinquents, their faces all pointed to the sky. You follow their gaze, and someone next to you exclaims, “It’s a shooting star!”

As it draws closer, you catch sight of the lights flashing on the front. “No, it’s not, it’s from the Ark!”

Someone behind you yells to Bellamy’s tent, "Bellamy, get out here!"

Bellamy runs from the tent and stops beside you. You glance over, and find that he’s shirtless. You both exchange an awkward glance, and the girls from his tent run up, and come to stand beside him. Someone points to the falling Ark artifact, and you can hear the crowd murmur in excitement. "They're coming to help us. Now we can kick some Grounder ass."

Bellamy abruptly turns and goes back to his tent, and Octavia moves to stand next to you. “I never thought I’d be relieved to see something from the Ark.”

You turn and let out a short laugh, “Yeah.” You’re silent for a second, lost in thought, before nodding towards the headquarters tent. “Should we go see what the plans are?”

“Yes!”

You both walk to the tent and step inside, just as one of the delinquents updates Bellamy. "If it cleared the ridge then it's probably near the lake."

Octavia speaks up from behind you, "We should get moving. Everyone's ready."

You watch a strange look pass over Bellamy’s face, before he speaks, voice firm. "No one's going anywhere. Not while it's dark, it isn't safe. We'll head out at first light.”

He steps away from the group and tries to leave the tent, not meeting your eyes, but Octavia stops him. "Everyone for a hundred miles saw this thing come down. What if the Grounders get to it first? Bell, we should go now."

"I said we wait till sunrise." He storms from the tent, effectively ending the conversation, and leaving you and Octavia to share a confused glance.

“I know my brother. He’s hiding something.”

You nod in agreement, “I was starting to think the same thing.”

You both step out of the tent, scanning the camp for any sign of Bellamy. Growing concerned, Octavia makes a beeline for his tent and storms inside, coming face to face with the two girls from earlier. “Where’s Bellamy?”

“Rude much?”

Octavia steps closer, “Where is my brother?”

You look around the tent, trying to locate any sign of his belongings. You nudge Octavia, “His stuff is gone.”

She turns and meets your eyes, muttering, “Shit.”

You both run out of the tent and head for the dropship, where you pick up a few supplies. Octavia runs into Jasper, “If you see Clarke, tell her my brother went for the dropship and we’re going to follow him.” And then you’re both off in a flash, sneaking from the camp and moving in the general direction of the fallen Ark pod, looking for any sign of Bellamy.

The sky gradually lightens as you move, and you eventually come across Bellamy, bobbing and weaving between trees. He stops to look around for a second, gathering his bearings, and you and Octavia duck behind a nearby tree. You both watch him silently, before a burst of anger pushes her into action and towards her older brother. You try to grab her to pull her back, but she pulls free and storms right up to him. "Bellamy! What are you doing?"

He spins around in shock, "Go back to camp. It isn't safe."

"You lied to everyone. You lied to me. You just want whatever's in that pod."

Bellamy pushes Octavia, putting space between them. "Just go home!"

"You always want to play big brother, huh? Well, guess what? Jokes on me. You're just a selfish dick."

Bellamy’s voice rises, reaching you easily. You shift around in your hiding spot to get a better look. "I did this for you! To protect you. If the Ark finds out we're alive, they'll come down. And when they do...I'm dead."

"What did you do?"

"I shot him. I shot Jaha." The sibling’s voices drop to a softer level; Bellamy’s in shame, and Octavia’s in shock. You ease closer to hear them better. "I found out they were sending you to Earth. I couldn't let you go alone. Someone came to me with a deal. Do this, kill him, and they'd get me on the dropship. And I did it."

Octavia’s voice is laced with shock, "You killed the chancellor?"

"He floated our mother. He locked you up. He deserved it." From your spot, you can barely make out the rising tears in his eyes, but you can hear the emotion in his voice as he tries to justify his actions to Octavia.

"I didn't ask you to do that."

His voice comes out resigned, as he shoulders the burden of what he’s done. "You're right. I made the choice. This is on me. Whatever they sent down, I'll take care of it."

"I didn't ask for any of this!" She backs away slowly before suddenly turning around and running off, straight past you and back to camp. You stay frozen in place, unsure what to do, unsure who to follow.

Bellamy scrubs a hand over his face, composing himself again, before his voice rings out through the wooded area. “You can come out now.”

You freeze, but realize there is no use now, before standing and walking towards him, looking sheepish. “How did you know?”

He lifts a brow and looks down at you, “It wouldn’t be the first time.”

He turns and starts walking in the direction of the crashed pod, continuing his journey, and you follow. “So, you shot the chancellor?”

He spins around, eyes bright and full of anger. “I don’t have to justify anything to you.”

Your arms lift in a show of peace, “I didn’t mean it like that.” You shrug, “The chancellor never did anything for me. Except kill my father and lock me up for being born.”

He says nothing, but seems to accept this, because he turns and continues walking. After a few minutes of silence, you ask, “What exactly are you looking for in this pod?”

“A radio.”

You nod, “And if you find one?”

“I’m going to destroy it.”

Another nod, “Okay.”

He turns to look at you, suspicious, “Just ‘okay’? What about Clarke?”

“What about her?”

He passes underneath a low hanging branch, and lifts it so you can pass beneath it. “You’ll be on the wrong side for this one.”

You glance back at the general direction of camp, which Octavia was likely still walking towards. “Siblings disagree sometimes.” You glance up at him, “And, if we’re being honest, there’s nothing on the Ark for me. No one I’m interested in seeing. Not my mother, not the Chancellor, no one. Anyone I could ever want is either already down here, or dead.”

Bellamy opens his mouth to reply, but closes it abruptly when the sound of someone talking reaches your ears. You both turn to each other in surprise before taking off running towards the sound, making out the words as you grow closer. “Pod one, Pod one, this Ark station medical. If you are receiving please respond.”

You burst through the treeline into a small clearing, a crashed pod situated along the perimeter. As you get closer and the message grows louder, you recognize the voice. “That’s my mother.” Bellamy looks over at you, confused. “On the radio.”

He pulls open the door of the pod, revealing a girl in a space suit, out cold from the crash landing. Bellamy pulls out his knife and looks at her for a long minute, before reaching down to the radio and cutting the wires, freeing the machine. He steps back and starts to close the pod door, but you stop him. “Wait, what about her?”

“She’s alive.”

You give him an annoyed look, “And bleeding. We can’t just leave her here.”

Bellamy sighs and thinks for a minute, before offering, “We destroy the radio first, because I’m sure the others will be here soon. Then we come back to help her.”

You hesitate, glancing back at the pod. And he sighs again, “I promise we’ll come back.”

“Fine.” You watch him close the door to the pod and you take one last look at it before you follow him out of the clearing. He speeds up to a run, tearing through the trees, searching for the small trail that leads to the river. After a few minutes of running, he spots it, and you follow him down the slope until you come out on the edge of the riverbank. With one last look at the radio and a moment of hesitation, he flings it into the water, watching as the current carries it away.

He turns back to you, “Alright doctor, we can fulfill your medical dreams now.”

You roll your eyes as you turn and head back up the slope, Bellamy right behind you. “Medical was always Clarke’s thing. Her special thing with mom.” You both step off the trail and into the woods, heading back towards the pod. “I mean, it wasn’t always like that at first. Clarke was just better at it.”

You glance over at him and let out a bitter laugh, “She always did outshine me. I suppose that’s why she was the shining star.” You shake your head, “Anyways, I ended up picking up some engineering stuff from my dad. That was more my thing anyways. That, and the history of the stars.”

His brows lift, surprised. “Oh, so you’re a star expert? I didn’t know I was in the presence of greatness.”

You punch him in the arm and let out a laugh, turning to answer. Just as you start, you’re cut off by a loud, "Hey! Where is it?"

You and Bellamy look up and see Clarke barreling towards you, from the direction of the pod. You take a deep breath to prepare yourself as she stops in front of you, and Bellamy quips, “Hey, you taking a walk in the woods?"

Clarke ignores you completely and gets right in Bellamy’s face, angry. "They're getting ready to kill three hundred people up there to save oxygen, and I can guarantee you it won't be council members. It'll be working people." She taps him on the chest, "Your people."

Finn runs up from behind Clarke, shoving Bellamy. "Bellamy, where's the radio?"

He shoves Finn back, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

A girl runs up from behind Finn, coming to stand beside him. "Bellamy Blake? They're looking everywhere for you."

Bellamy glares at her, "Shut up."

"Looking for him, why?"

The girl smirks, "He shot Chancellor Jaha."

Clarke turns on him, "That's why you took the wristbands. Needed everyone to think we're dead."

"All that 'whatever the hell we want'? You just care about saving your own skin."

Bellamy turns and starts to walk away, and you turn to follow, only to be stopped by Clarke grabbing your arm. You turn to her, angry, “What are you doing?”

She gives you an incredulous look, “What are you doing with him?” You watch as she starts to put the pieces together, “Did you know about this?”

You pull your arm free, “What if I did?”

Her face falls, disappointed, and her voice comes out soft. “What would dad say?”

You rear back, instantly hurt, before dropping your voice to an angry whisper. “I don’t know, Clarke, what would he say? But while we’re discussing it, how about we talk about what he’d say to you for starting a riot, getting an innocent guy nearly hanged, and driving a young girl to jump off a cliff.”

You regret the words as soon as they leave your mouth, and you know they aren’t fair. But the anger overshadows everything, drowns it out until it’s the only thing you feel. And now it’s Clarke’s turn to look hurt. She steps away from you and you feel the distance in your relationship grow, widening the gap until things are worse than before. She looks like she’s going to say something, but she fails to get a word out before the new girl follows Bellamy and grabs him. "Hey! Shooter! Where's my radio?"

"Get out of my way."

You all follow the duo as they argue, and she gets in Bellamy’s face. "Where is it?"

"I should've killed you when I had the chance."

"Really? Well, I'm right here."

He grabs her by the neck and throws her against a tree and you yell his name in shock, “Bellamy! Stop!”

As the words leave your mouth, the girl pulls out a knife and holds it in front of his face. "Where's my radio?"

You grab Bellamy and pull him away from the girl, glaring at them both. “Enough!”

Bellamy starts to walk away again, annoyed. "Jaha deserved to die. You all know that."

"Yeah, he's not my favorite person either, but he isn't dead."

Bellamy spins, face slack with shock. "What?"

"You're a lousy shot."

Bellamy looks over at you and you’re wearing a similar shocked expression, as Clarke closes the space between them, “Where's the radio?"

"You’re too late."

Later, after going to camp and recruiting the others, you are all back at the river, shin deep and searching for the radio. You glance up from the water, over to your twin, and her eyes meet yours. She looks away instantly, and you watch as Finn approaches her to talk. You shake your head and give up, making a beeline for the shore and plopping down beside Bellamy.

You both sit beside each other in mutual silence, watching the others search for the discarded radio. The new girl, Raven, hovers nearby, keeping watch over Bellamy. He whispers to you after a while, “I heard what you said to Clarke earlier.”

You feel a fresh wave of shame wash over you, and you pull your walls up, tall and high, ready to defend yourself against whatever he says. He seems to sense this, and his eyes soften a little, “I only wanted to say, it’s hard being the sibling on the outside, too.”

You say nothing, choosing instead to look out to the river, weighing his words. Minutes later, Jones holds up a black box and calls out, "Hey! I found it!"

You and Bellamy stand slowly, the villains of the situation, as the others run over to the radio. Raven takes it from Jones and looks it over as Clarke asks, "Can you fix it?"

"Maybe, but it'll take half the day just to dry out the components to see what's broken."

Bellamy crosses his arms, "Like I said, it's too late."

You sense something in Clarke snap, seconds before she storms over to Bellamy."Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?!"

"You asked me to help. I helped."

"Three hundred people are gonna die today because of you!"

You step between Bellamy and your twin. “He gets it, Clarke. We get it.”

“I don’t even know what to say to you.” She shakes her head in disgust, as Raven makes a realization.

"Hold up. We don't have to talk to the Ark. We just have to let them know we're down here, right?

Finn shakes his head, "Yeah, but how do we do that with no radio?"

Raven smiles at him as her only answer, before nodding her head towards camp. He follows, Clarke right beside them, discussing the plan. The others follow behind them in a close group, and you and Bellamy bring up the rear. As you walk back to camp silently, you can feel his anger and defiance subdue, his defense mechanisms no longer necessary.

As soon as you are back at camp, Clarke turns on you both. “We’re going to fix your mistake. But we said we couldn’t live by ‘whatever the hell we want’ anymore, so there has to be consequences for this.” She looks over at you, holding your gaze. “For both of you. Until we can figure out what that is, stay out of everyone’s way.”

She turns without a word, and without a response from you and Bellamy. From that moment on, you both spend the rest of the day on the sidelines, monitored by different people as each guard is eventually called away to help with something. You sit in silence, both of you shamed into saying nothing, as the day progresses and the rockets are built.

A few hours after dark, everything is set up, and the first trio of rockets are launched into the sky. You and Bellamy finally stand and wander into the crowd, coming to a stop beside Clarke. She looks over as you stop but says nothing, instead watching as they soar into the sky. Rocket after rocket is fired, casting an eerie red glow over the camp and the crowd of teenagers that stand watching.

You glance at Clarke, "You think they can see it from up there?"

She gives you a look from the corner of her eyes, and for a moment, you think she’s not going to answer. But then she lets out a little sigh, "I don't know. I hope so.” She’s silent, before adding, “Do you remember what dad said about shooting stars?” You turn to look at her, giving her a small smile as she continues, “Think you can wish on this kind?"

You shrug, “Don’t know. I wouldn’t know what to wish for anyways. What about you?"

She says nothing, just turns and looks behind her, right at Finn with his arms wrapped around Raven. And for the first time, you realize that they’re together, and what that means for Clarke. And despite the fight, despite the gap in your relationship, you feel yourself grow angry and defensive for her. For your shining star sister.

Bellamy’s words come back to you, about it being hard for the sibling on the outside, and you watch the last rounds of rockets enter the sky, with that thought on your mind.

Came up with some spec about Bellarke, Octavia and the list after this photo was released recently. I’m sure plenty of people thought about this a long time ago, but here I am.

(Octavia stans, you might want to look away, because I’m going to be judging her as fairly as everyone else)

‪Notice how Octavia’s 5th on the list? That’s interesting!

Abby, Jackson, Jaha and Raven are clearly the first 4 because they were all part of the inner circle of leadership AND they have essential skills that would be needed to run and maintain the ship during the time jump. We ‪know that simply being in the inner circle and having these skills wasn’t enough to qualify, cause you also had to be one of the best at what you do, which is why Monty didn’t make the list (he was a good engineer and her friend, but he was only an apprentice 😞), and you also ‪have to be healthy and not appear to be at risk of future health problems, which is why Harper didn’t make the list, even though she was a good guard and a then healthy young woman, and the list was supposed to be weighted towards young women who could have children.

We should also note that Kane isn’t on it, which could be a ‪production oversight because he seems like someone who should be there at first glance, but if we’re assuming within canon that every person was deliberately chosen, then I imagine that he didn’t make the cut because, while he was Abby’s partner, and a father figure to Clarke ‪and Bellamy, AND was the Chancellor and one of the best leaders and diplomats from Skaikru at the time, he was most definitely not a healthy young woman with essential skills like medicine or engineering, and they already had Jaha to fill the leadership role, who was also an ‪engineer, therefore pragmatically the better option even though Kane was definitely closer to and more well-liked by the inner circle, not to mention, at least from my perspective, more liked by fans cause of his character.

So looking at the list in the sad but pragmatic way ‪the show definitely wanted us and the characters to view it, there isn’t a lot of fair logic in Octavia being on the list AT ALL, let alone 5TH! This is purely from a ‪logical standpoint. This was season 4, Octavia wasn’t even living in Arcadia anymore, and she was going through the dark time of being Skairipa, openly having few loyalties, and Skaikru definitely wasn’t one of them. She was Kane’s bodyguard briefly and knew about Praimfaya ‪but, from my perspective, didn’t seem to care about protecting herself or the human race from it, at least in comparison to everyone in Arkadia, who were searching and working high and low for a solution ‬EVERY DAY!!! This was Octavia at one of her loneliest and darkest times, and she definitely wasn’t on good terms with Clarke and Bellamy. Even if she had been, logically, she was a poor choice because she did not have any essential skills that would be necessary inside the bunker, so pragmatically, placing her on the list was wrong and unfair when someone else with essential skills would have been a far better choice based on the criteria we’ve gathered.

So why did she make it on the list and why was she so high up?

We can guess why. It was a no-brainer for Bellamy, and while we don’t know whether Clarke would have debated with him about it, we DO know that she was insisting earlier that HE would be one of the people inside. They clearly decided on whom in their inner circle would be inside first, so I can imagine Clarke trying to be fair and pragmatic by gently telling him all the reasons I pointed out above why it isn’t fair to put her on the list, as I’m sure they had that conversation when they had to decide that Monty didn’t qualify. But I can also imagine her not giving it a second thought, writing Octavia’s name down immediately because she knows that there’s no way in Hell he’ll let her put him on the list if his sister isn’t also. Either way, we can be pretty damn certain that Octavia was only on the list because Clarke loves Bellamy and would do whatever it took to make sure he lives, even though it comes at the price of another, likely more qualified life. She definitely didn’t write her name because she’s her friend, because I don’t think you can exactly call them friends when they haven’t seen each other since they left Polis, and their relationship was more like that of cordial or old allies rather than friends at this point. Clarke was far closer to Monty at this point than everyone else outside of Bellamy, and yet she was able to decide not to write his name, so we know the strength of her resolve. It’s only where Bellamy’s concerned that she falters, her cold yet necessary pragmatism being weak against her love for him.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen it and it definitely isn’t the last. Hell, we see this exact scenario heightened to the max when she can’t pull the trigger in 4x11! It’s basically the same! In a moment where the fate of the human race hangs in the balance, Bellamy is risking it all to make sure Octavia survives, and as much as Clarke believes she must, she can’t bring herself to lose him for the sake of their people. She couldn’t choose to save two more qualified members of Skaikru against making sure Bellamy lives, and can’t save all of Skaikru from potentially being slaughtered - essentially killing the entire human race since none of the Grounders knew how to run the bunker - at the cost of Bellamy’s life, of taking his life herself.

So... WOW!!!!! That’s love, people! And Octavia is damn lucky that Clarke loves her brother more than anyone else, more than the value of the human race, because it seems almost certain that she would not have made it inside if Clarke didn’t love him enough to risk what was believed to be the last of the human race to let him save his sister. It’s the same reason Clarke didn’t kill or attack Octavia when she was a danger to Madi in season 5. Clarke had good reason for thinking it was the only way to stop the war and protect her daughter, and I have no doubt she would have gone through with it. Except that Bellamy said no, and even though she tried to rationally convince him that it was necessary (in the same way I expect she did if she’d have first tried to convince him that she can’t go on the list if that scene had happened), she let go of that plan and didn’t push, later apologising for even suggesting it. He easily accepts, saying that he probably would have done the same thing if she were anyone else, which leads into another sweet moment about the heart and the head and mumma bears 🥰.

And then later, we see the ultimate table-turn of Octavia’s position in Bellarke’s love; while Octavia is definitely still alive at this point in season 5 because Clarke loves Bellamy, she’s then poisoned because Bellamy loves Clarke! This was the most shocking moment of truth for their relationships at the time, both Bellarke’s and the Blake siblings’. While anyone could probably tell long before this moment that Bellamy loves Clarke more than Octavia, it had never been so explicitly clear until this moment, when Bellamy’s not only choosing her over his sister, whom he basically raised and has always loved the most until Clarke came along, but is actually risking her life for her! This decision is monumental! No one, absolutely NO ONE, had ever come before Octavia for Bellamy, and definitely not his girlfriend, because while he did challenge her, he didn’t and clearly wouldn’t have risked her life for Echo. But he did for Clarke! Clarke was and is more important to him than everyone and everything else! It’s so significant that the infamous “traitor who you love” line happened right before this, IN THE SAME SCENE! He couldn’t deny it or confirm it with his words, but his actions said it all! He loves Clarke, he knew it before he came in that room even if he couldn’t admit it to himself, that’s why he was clutching that algae bar. He wouldn’t hurt her or risk her life for anyone or anything before this, but for Clarke, he made a choice and he made it knowingly. It does suck that Clarke may never fully know that loving her is why he did it, but season 6 more than cleared up any doubt about their feelings for each other, and it firmly established where Octavia falls now.

She’s his sister, still someone he loves more than almost anything, but also a separate person from him, someone he won’t prioritise when she isn’t treating him with respect, and undeniably less important to him than his soulmate, which I believe is the way it should be.

I’m so excited for season 7! I can’t wait to see Bellarke finally sort things out and be together like they’ve wanted to be for so fucking long! And I can’t wait to see Octavia okay, reunited with her brother and her sister-in-law (basically), and finally finding happiness. They all deserve it.

The 100 Final Season Speculation Tag

Thanks for tagging me <3 I missed this kind of stuff, even if my ideas are always all over the place @bellarkes-hope

1. Which character are you most excited to learn the endgame of: Bellarke (big duh), Mackson, Memori and I want Niylah to find a soft girlfriend <3 (edit: I read someone’s answer of this and realized they mean storylines not only relationships. OoPppps 😂)

2. Which character are you most excited to learn the backstory of: Honestly? No one. I want them to stop introducing new characters and side plots and focus on the main characters of this damn show I’m looking @ you “back door pilot”

3. One character who deserves a new look: I do miss Bell’s season 2/3 curls but I really want to see Clarke with her hair up. It would be cute with the short hair. OOOOOH. Okay, I know, have Jordan wear Jasper’s goggles. Satisfy my nostalgia.

4. Two locations you want to revisit: The drop ship (RIP) and the Ark. I want to a flashback with Wells...GIVE IT TO ME.

5. Three brotps you hope get more screentime: Murphamy, another big DUH. Madi and Jordan bonding over their adoptive parents. Diyoza and Octavia.

6. Who will get the happiest ending: Jason...he’ll kill everyone and will really think that he did something, something...edgy.

7. Which minor or new characters you want to see more of: NO NEW ONES. Really dude, I don’t care, I don’t. I want more Niylah, Eric, Miller and Jordan. Is that too much to ask? Okay, dont @ me but I also loved Josephine’s sass

8. Who will eventually snap Jordan out of the funk we see him in, at the end of 6x13: Monty and Harper. They’re gonna have a video play or a note be read, or a memory brought up...Idk I just miss Marper. I miss my delinquents. Maybe it’ll be Jasper’s goggles and he’ll start talking about Jasper as if he knew him because like his father said before, every memory he had Jasper was right there with him.

9. Who will be the first to tell Bellamy he can’t immediately run into the Anomaly after Octavia: Gabriel. I think Echo may try to help Bellamy and that’s why everyone will get split up. I don’t know...

10. To reference Monty’s ‘do better’ mantra: I kind of hope that it’s the Blake siblings. I think Octavia will die and say it to him, but it wont be in reference to him. She’ll do something heroic and hope he knows that she wants to do better and always did, no matter how many mistakes she made she never wanted to be Bloodreina. I feel like Monty was IS the glue for them. He always reminded them of who they started out as and I think that’s huge for Octavia to remember.

11. To say 'go float yourself’: Murphhhh Watch, it’ll be echo

15. How do you think Hope and Octavia know each other (from season 6): I’m not sure. I think we know that it’s something sketchy. Maybe a plan where Octavia needed Hope’s help to go and warn the others about the big bad in the anomaly and had to owe a debt to someone to get back to them, not knowing she’d forget. Hope brings her back, to fulfill the debt, but I think Octavia planned her return to the anomaly while IN the anomaly (if that makes any sense). I don’t know if Octavia knew Hope as a kid or an adult...I really don’t know how that time works because Hope was in the anomaly when we saw her...maybe she’d age differently outside? I’m confused.

16. How do you think it all will end?: The anomaly will be a savior in a sense, a sanctuary after they defeat the big bad. The living characters will be reunited with their loved ones in a sort of poetic, are they dead, are they not kind of thing. That or it’s all some kind of simulation or time loop (not time travel). But if I’m being honest everyone will love will probably be dead in the end with NO happy ending

God I miss Lincoln. I can totally get the appeal of Lincoln and Clarke. Both of these characters are like.. softening agents to the Blake siblings especially. Lincoln is especially good at helping others and soothing (emotional and physical) wounds and he deserved better.

He deserved so much better. I can usually understand the narrative choice behind character death, and if I make myself think about it enough, I can sort of maybe understand the whole thing with Lincoln. But he adds a level of soft that this show needed. Especially because he’s also so strong and one of their best fighters.

And Clarke and Lincoln being softening agents to the Blake siblings??? The contrast of season one Bellarke vs season two/three Linctavia??? Beautiful. Iconic.

The thing I like about Clarke and Lincoln... and again, this is one thing I like about Clarke and Bellamy... is that Lincoln understands why Clarke makes the decisions she does. He respects her for the hard choices she makes. He understands that the world operates in moral shades of gray and that she is doing her best to work in that world. We unfortunately don’t get to see a lot of the dynamic reversed, but the moment where she won’t let the sniper kill Lincoln, when she says you are my people will forever be one of my favorite moments in the show.

the first character i ever fell in love with:

finn, with jasper as a close second. i also really liked bellamy and octavia right away (”we’re back bitches” is iconic and im not accepting slander- you either lean into the cheesiness or you die a coward).

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not:

i think for every ship i dislike there wasn’t really a point i ever liked it. but it was the fandom that pushed my hate for bellarke’s dynamic into 'over my dead body’ levels (god do i hate what it does to bellamy’s character. i also have plenty of other objections to it but none of them hold a candle to the cold takes this fandom has terrorised me with over the years).

and at first i didn’t care about clexa, i was really bored by it- but the retroactive and relentless rewriting of it of this grand love story that clarke was never allowed to get over that i think was never there really got on my nerves and still does. and rewatching knowing about this made the weak telling of clexa even harder to watch for me.

seeing it with all with more of an idea of how to interact with movies/shows and really deeply letting myself take in what was happening was what pushed me to actively dislike it due to some realisations i had with the writing of the rest of the show, especially surrounding clarke’s character, the telling us one thing but showing us another, and how fucking dumb and inept they both were. rewatching confirmed/reinforced my initial instincts and reactions to clarke and i never grew to care for lexa so it’s not that my opinion necessarily changed, it just got more detailed/justified.

like with most things in this show, the writing really let that relationship AND those characters down (i feel a similar way about lexa that i do about bellamy...and raven...and tbh most other characters- that clarke drags them down and they’re better off as characters when/if distanced from her).

but i feel like i can see where people (people who are being honest and not insufferable) find these relationships enjoyable to watch. it’s the fandoms that let them down imo- clexas and bellarkes have GOT to be THE MOST delusional, miserable and arrogant fucking fans i’ve ever come across, i resent them and all that space they took up and stole from the rest of us.

on a different note- i was sad to see pike go, wasn't thrilled about every character (especially bellamy) being brutally murdered for clarke's sake in book 2, and the death (abandonment) of “the 100″ ruined the show.

Season 2. It has my favorite version of Lexa, it has Bellamy and Echo meeting, it has the most interesting antagonists (in my opinion haha). Season 4 is a close second though!

Favourite quotes:

“You believe that to defeat an ennemy who will stop at nothing, you must stop at nothing. How is that any different than Blood must have Blood?” - Luna in s3, because I think this quote shows very well the central conflict of the show, one that was established by Finn in s1: We have to try not to repeat history, and yet everytime, they do repeat it. I disagree with Luna in that instance because the threat that was ALI wasn’t like any other, but I agree with her sentiment.

“In peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels. Until our final journey to the Ground. May we meet again.” LISTEN. If there’s is one thing of the world building I absolutely adore, it’s the Traveler’s Blessing. It’s a beautiful prayer, and it gives me all the right emotions when I think about it. I was disappointed with what the show was making of it in seasons 2 and 3, with characters saying it all around, but then there are two instances that really get to me: Octavia and Bellamy saying it over the dead radio at the end of s4, and Monty / Bellamy and Clarke saying it at the end of season 5.

Best musical moment:

I loved the way the music carried the scene right after Lexa’s death, how it melts from Lexa’s death and Titus saying his ritual words, to Becca reaching earth, back to Lexa and the Flame coming out of her.

Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest:

Oh boy there are a LOT Off the top of my head: when Monty refuses to leave Jasper alone when he gives his blood to Maya, when Murphy says “Touch me again and I’ll end you... in a non-criminal way”, when Becho was confirmed in s5, When Clarke managed to align the satellite dish in Pramfyia, when Octavia confronted Skaikru in The Chosen,.... I can’t think of others right now but there are a lot lmao You can check out my favorite scenes series if you want, I’m working on it slowly!

When it really disappointed you:

A lot of times, honestly... I’m gonna say, all of season 6. I hated it. It had so much potential, with characters having to deal with the aftermath of season 5, Monty and Harper dying, Jordan existing, Wonkru.... Instead we got a whole mess that didn’t do much for any character and I was really disappointed.

Saddest moment:

Lincoln’s death. I knew it was coming because I knew the actor was leaving the show, but I was so NOT READY for it omg it’s the scene I still cry everytime I watch it because it’s so sad and heartwrenching....

Most well done character death:

Okay so I think The 100 is really bad at having well done character deaths, so I’m gonna say my less well-done one lmaoooo

Lexa’s. Her death was so stupid. I wasn’t in the fandom at the time so I wasn’t aware of the awful queerbaiting that was going on, so without talking about BTS and marketing ploys, I do believe that her death was heavily predicted by the show. However, it was a stupid death and Lexa was too awesome a character to die by a stray bullet. She deserved a proper send-off, she deserved to die in an epic battle, or fighting for what she believed in,..... not a bullet.

Okay I actually have three so I’ll you my top three:

1- The revelation of the Mountain Men. I was absolutely NOT expecting this to happen and I was gasping and going “nooooooooo way!!!” at my computer because it was so out of nowhere!! I loved it lmao

2- Murphy discovers that ALI destroyed the world: the ending of s2. That scene is so chilling, Murphy watching the video of Chris crying and killing himself, cut with scenes of Jaha getting to the mansion and the wholse scene with ALI herself... that whole scene was really cool and unexpected!

3- Clarke and Jaha steal the bunker during the conclave. I was so SHOOK by this moment, it was such a bold move and I loved it!

When did you start watching/reading?:

Early January, 2015. I was back at my appartment waiting for the semester to start, my roommates weren’t back from the holidays yet, and I was bored. So I started the show, and I binged all of season 1 and half of season 2 in 24 hours xD I caught up at Spacewalker, and then had to wait two weeks for the next episode to air and it was agony!!!!

I love the fact that it has so many different and well developped female characters.It shouldn’t be rare, but it still is, and this show really stands out to me for that reason. I’m not saying it’s the peak of feminism or anything because lmao IT’S NOT. But the women of the show have agency, freedom, they’re all distinct from one another and not just tropes and cliches. I really like it.

Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you:

Lmaooooooo do you have ten hours? Because that’s how long I can ramblr about the inconsistencies and plotholtes of this show x) Off the top of my head:

- Why does everybody on the Ark speak Enlighs?

- If Becca knew Nightblood could let you live on Earth then why didn’t she distribute it among the space stations?

- Why did Cadogan build the bunker in the middle of the city when he had a prefectly good FOREST??

- If Lexa is the first Commander to unite the clans then what was the role of the Commander before her?

- Why didn’t the Ark send one adult with the 100 (Pyke) to protect and help them?

- How come the Eligius IV prisoners don’t die when they come back to Earth in s5 since they have no nightblood and didn’t adapt through evolution?

- How is it that Spacekru survived with algea alone but Wonkru had to have this huge variety of plants?? WHAT’S THE MAGIC ALGEA MONTY???

- Why did Mount Weather crash the Exodus ship?

- If the ressources on the Ark are so scarce then why would they float people with clothes on them?

- How come Raven could visit Finn in prison but Bellamy couldn’t visit Octavia?? If Octavia was in solitary, why?

If you could have written Octavia’s story after the bunker, how would you have had everyone interact with her? Like, how would you write Bellamy and her’s conversations? Or Clarke’s, Raven’s, maybe even Echo?

You must be new here, because this is in fact how I came to this fandom in the first place :D I write a lot of meta here, to be sure, but my first and foremost fandom “job” has always been fic writer. Just head on over to AO3 (Archive of Our Own), type in my username (OsleyaKomWonkru), and you’ll have at your disposal over 50 stories that I’ve written (with a combined word count of over 300,000 words), some stand-alone one-shots, some chaptered works, some series works. (I’m skipping links because apparently Tumblr is rude about external links or something and doesn’t show such posts to people? Uncalled for, but explains why posts of mine with links have far fewer notes than posts without.)

I have many different story versions, depending on what your pleasure is. Most are pretty genfic, since the focus is usually on the Blakes, but if I do have an Octavia ship involved, it will pretty much always be Niytavia with past Linctavia and Octilian:

People Make Better Decisions - a series of one-shots (set independently of each other), where someone in the during-bunker or post-bunker world makes a better decision than they did in canon. This series provides fix-its for Bellamy, Clarke, Kane, Echo, Diyoza, Madi and Niylah, starting at points from the Dark Year on to 5x13. I also have two unfinished ones in this series, featuring Abby and Raven, which I may eventually get to finishing, but I have other writing priorities at the moment.

Hopes for Season Six - most of which were dashed, but I did at least get the Octavia having time to herself away from all of the assholes part of things. This series features Octavia and Raven bonding on the Eligius IV, Miller and Jackson sharing hard truths about bunker life with Bellamy, and Octavia going on a solitary journey into the wilderness to find herself.

The Untold Story of Wonkru - after waking up on the Eligius IV, Jordan gives Bellamy a pile of letters that Monty had found in the stored belongings years ago, that Octavia had written to him over the years in the bunker. They help him understand Octavia’s story, and begin a (what I believe) to be a much better road to reconciliation between the Blakes than canon gave us. The main story with the letters is supported by a variety of one-shots set both during the bunker years and after it is opened, predominantly featuring Octavia, Niylah, Jackson and Miller.

My Season 7 - exactly what it says on the tin. Posted to 7x09 at this point, more to come when there’s a break in the official canon schedule. Heavily Blake siblings (+Hope) focused. Differs quite significantly from canon, but I am impressed nonetheless that there are a significant number of similarities, more than I would have expected.

So, go forth and read! While I’ve been pleased with Octavia’s story thus far this season, I’m still salty about how she’s mistreated by the other characters, and I’m not going to stop writing until I feel Octavia’s been given the justice that she deserves.

You were about to go to sleep when you heard shouts from outside your tent. Curious about what got everyone so excited, you make your way outside. You greet Octavia and a shirtless Bellamy outside of your tents, “There!” Octavia points to the sky at something with a parachute on it.

“They’re coming to help us. Now we can kick some grounder ass.” Jones says confidently while others around us agree.

“Please tell me they brought down some shampoo,” Roma says from beside Bellamy.

The other kids around us dispersed while Bellamy, Octavia, and I go to talk about the pod that fell out of the sky. Octavia and I walk into a tent while a kid explains where the pod possibly landed to Bellamy.

“We should get moving. Everyone’s ready.” Octavia adds.

“No one’s going anywhere. Not while it’s dark. It isn’t safe.” Bellamy rebuttals.

“We’ll head out at first light. Pass the word.” Bellamy decides for us and the three other kids make their way out of the tent.

“Everyone for 100 miles saw this thing come down. What if the grounders get to it first? Bell, we should go now.” Octavia stops her older brother.

“I said we wait until sunrise.” Bellamy sternly responds before heading out again.

“I’m sorry Bellamy. But I agree with O on this one. If we don’t go now, we could lose the chance to get the help or supplies that might be in that pod.” You stop him from continuing. He only responds with the same thing he said to Octavia and makes his way outside.

You and Octavia make your way back to your tents. You were about to go back to sleep when Octavia bursts in, “Y/N, I saw Bellamy take off. I’m gonna go find him. Wanna come?” She asks you. You don’t respond and grab your jacket following Octavia out of your tent.

You and Octavia run through the woods in the direction she saw him go. The sun starts to come up as you finally catch up to him, “Bellamy! What are you doing?” Octavia asks as you guys make your way to him.

“Go back to camp guys. It isn’t safe.” He responds.

“You lied to everyone.” You say catching your breath.

“You lied to me. You just want whatever’s in that pod.” Octavia adds.

“Just go home!” Bellamy shoves his little sister.

“What the hell Bellamy? What’s your problem?” You ask.

“You too Y/N.”

“You always want to play the big brother, huh? Well, guess what? Joke’s on me. You’re just a selfish dick,” Octavia walks back up to Bellamy as you step back not wanting to get between the siblings.

“I did this for you, to protect you. If the Ark finds out we’re alive, they’ll come down. And when they do, I’m dead,” Bellamy says. You look at him confused as he looks from Octavia to you.

“What did you do?” Octavia asks.

“I shot him.” Bellamy states.

“Shot who?” You ask making your way back up to the siblings.

“I shot Jaha,” Bellamy confesses.

“What?” Octavia whispers just loud enough for us to hear.

“I found out they were sending you to earth. I couldn’t let you go alone. Someone came to me with a deal-- Do this. Kill him, and they’d get me on the dropship. And I did it.” Bellamy explains.

“You killed the Chancellor?” You ask slightly hurt because he was close to your parents but also slightly relieved because he floated your dad and imprisoned you.

“He floated your dad and our mother. He locked you guys up. He deserved it.” Bellamy shifts his gaze between you and his sister.

“I didn’t ask you to do that,” Octavia states upset.

“You’re right. I made the choice. This is on me. Whatever they sent down, I’ll take care of it.” Bellamy says not being able to set his on on his sister anymore.

“I didn’t ask for any of this,” Octavia says and walks away. You fight yourself on who to follow. But decide to stay Bellamy and see if you can reason with him and to find out what’s in the pod. You know Octavia is better off alone when she’s upset and will come to you when she needs to.

“Go back to camp with Octavia.” Bellamy turns to you before running off.

“I’m coming with you. I wanna know what’s in that pod too,” You run to catch up with him. Bellamy stops again to give you a stern look to go back to camp.

“We’re helping each other, remember?” You give a stern look back and walk ahead of him.

“I can see why you didn’t go down easy,” Bellamy states before catching up to you.

You and Bellamy make your way through the forest, “So you really did all that so you could protect O?” You ask Bellamy after a few minutes of silent trekking.

“Yeh, she’s my sister. She’s my responsibility.” He responds.

“I mean I get it. I did what I needed, to save my mom. But you need to ease up on her, Bell. Give her some breathing room. Let her learn how to handle things herself. You being protective is only pushing her away.” You explain to him.

“I can’t if I let down my guard for even one moment. She could get hurt or even killed. Like I said, my sister my responsibility.” He explains. You don’t get to respond as you come upon the pod. You hear a voice on the radio, one that almost sounds like Clarke’s mom, Abby Griffin, but you weren’t entirely sure.

“Careful,” You say as he opens the door. Bellamy takes out his knife and cuts the wires to the radio before you could even say anything. He takes it with him and closes the door.

“Bellamy. You know if Clarke finds this pod too, she’s going to be looking for that and know you’re the one who cut it out.” You say as you watch him close the door. He walks right past you and you follow him to the river, only for him to toss it into the river.

“Come on. Let’s go before anyone else gets here.” He says and pulls you with him back towards the camp. You guys walk towards camp for a little bit until you hear a familiar voice behind you.

“Hey! Where is it?” Clarke runs up between you two.

“Hey, Princess. You taking a walk in the woods?” Bellamy snarkily asks and you shake your head at him.

“They’re getting ready to kill 300 people up there to save oxygen. And I can guarantee you it won’t be council members. It’ll be working people. Your people.” Clarke pokes his chest.

“Bellamy. Where’s the radio?” Finn comes up and pushes Bellamy.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Bellamy pushes him back.

“Ok. Ok. Let’s just all calm down.” You say but no one listens to you.

“Bellamy Blake? They’re looking everywhere for you.” Some new random girl says snarkily.

“Shut up,” Bellamy responds quickly.

“Looking for him why?” Clarke asks. Bellamy shifts his gaze to you, hoping that you won’t say anything.

“He shot Chancellor Jaha,” The girl responds quicker than you could respond anyways. Finn and Clarke just shoot mad glances back to him.

“That’s why you took the wristbands. Needed everyone to think we’re dead.” Clarke deciphers.

“All that ‘whatever the hell we want’? You just care about saving your own skin. So then what’s your deal with them up there Y/N?” Finn asks turning to you.

“You really want to know? Fine. Five years ago, I was one of you Clarke, privileged. You know that, right? Well, the moment the council, your mother, didn’t fight for my mother. Floated my father and imprisoned me, for trying to save someone not only important to me but the Ark. Is the moment I cut all ties with people like you. I could care less about the people up there. They betrayed my family, they tore my family apart. I just want to live my life, free from all the rules and shit show the Ark is. And that’s why.” You explain and start to walk away. You see Bellamy turn with you.

“Hey! Shooter! Where’s my radio?” The girl runs up and gets in front of you and Bellamy.

“Get out of my way,” Bellamy responds without batting an eye.

“Where is it?” The girl looks between you and Bellamy.

“I should’ve killed you when I had the chance.” Bellamy finally stops and acknowledges her in front of us.

“Really? Well, I’m right here.” She says softer before Bellamy takes her by the neck and pushes her up against a tree. She takes a knife out as Finn and Clarke prepare to handle the situation.

“Where’s my radio? I’m sure one of the two of you know” She repeats and looks at you from behind Bellamy then back to him.

“Ok. Stop it.” Clarke tries to deescalate the situation. They have a little stare down before letting their guards down.

“Jaha deserved to die. You all know that.” Bellamy begins to walk away again.

“Yeah, he’s not my favorite person, either. But he isn’t dead.” The girl states.

“What?” You and Bellamy both say caught off guard.

“You’re a lousy shot.” She looks at Bellamy.

Clarke runs up to him, “Bellamy, don’t you see what this means? You’re not a murderer. You always did what you had to do to protect your sister, that’s who you are. And you can do it again, by protecting 300 of your people. Where’s the radio?” She asks once more.

“It’s too late,” Bellamy confesses.

“It’s in the river. That’s where, he threw it there. Now, I’m wondering. Who the hell are you?” You turn towards the new girl.

“My name Raven. I was sent by Clarke’s mom, Abby.” She responds.

“Y/N,” You say back.

“Now that introductions are over. Let’s get back to camp and gather a group to go look in the river for that radio.” Finn says and starts to walk towards camp as you all follow.

You guys gather a group of kids and head to the river. You have people search along the river where Bellamy threw the radio, as well as a bit farther down, in case it drifted. After a few moments, you hear Jones announce something, “Hey! I found it.”

You make your way over to Raven as she inspects it and drains it of water, “ Can you fix it?” Clarke asks.

“Maybe. But it’ll take half a day. Just to dry out the components to see what’s broken,” Raven explains.

“Like I said, It’s too late,” Bellamy repeats from what he said earlier.

“Do you have any idea what you did? Both of you? I mean you could’ve at least stopped him Y/N. Do you guys even care?” Clarke rushes up to you and Bellamy.

“Well, I’m sorry he threw it in the river before I could say anything or stop him.” You scoff.

“You asked me to help. I helped.” Bellamy says without batting an eye.

“300 people are gonna die today because of you,” Clarke says sternly.

“Hold up. We don’t have to talk to the Ark. We just have to let them know we’re down here, right?” Raven asks the group.

“Yeh, but how do we do that with no radio?” Finn asks as Raven smiles widely. She clearly has something up her sleeve.

We all make our way back to the camp as Raven explains her idea to the group. She explains how she was an engineer on the Ark and her plan is to send rockets big enough for the people on the Ark to see. You make your way to your tent to destress, not wanting to deal with anyone else.

“Hey, you good?” You notice Bellamy enters your tent.

“Uhhh, yeh.” You say trying to get him to leave.

“You sure?” He asks once more.

“Yeh. Today was just a lot, well for me. I don’t care about anyone up there but I can’t help but think I’m killing the 300 people up there.” You reluctantly explain.

“If this rocket plan Raven came up with doesn’t work, it’s my fault, not yours. I’m the one who threw that radio into the river.” You just sigh in response. “Anyways, they’re almost done with them, I’ll meet you out there.” He says and leaves your tent.”

You wait a few more moments to gather yourself before you head outside. You make your way to Bellamy and Clarke. As soon as the three red lights are sent soaring through the sky as few cheers and whoops come from the group. Two more rockets are sent off and more kids cheer. Everyone continues to stare up at the sky hoping that the Ark saw our message to them.

A/N: Hey guys! This part was really just a filler to obviously introduce Raven. And TBH I also wrote this kinda last minute so, I didn’t have tome to figure out whether to skip this ep or not. But it worked out since there’s really no better way to introduce Raven. Thank you for reading and I hope your guys enjoy it.
