Best women's football fans IMO

Because the worst did so well and I want to bring some positive vibes. Here is the best fans IMO if I didn't mention a certain group it's either bc they're not the best or I didn't think of them.

Benfica fans are the best, 2 point final. They love their club and players so much. All their socials are so positive and they continue to support their ex players. I’ve seen both Cloé Lacasse and Marie Alidou jump into the crowd/the arms of Benfica fans to celebrate the goal and the fans just celebrated. Pure joy on their faces nothing else. A Barca or Arsenal player did that everyone would just pull out their phone to take vid/photos then beg the players for everything physically on them or their autographs. I have to give this one to Chelsea fans. When LJ high fived the fans they acted normal.

Swedish national team fans. Generally all positive and just love their team. They’re unproblematic just like their players.

CANWNT fans. Now imma just say it, I’m biased but we love our team and players and I don’t think there is a big part of us that do shitty things. Also a good chunk of us follow every team that our players play for. That’s why I can’t hate Chelsea bc currently there are 3 Canadians playing there.

Basil, the Chelsea mega fan. Great vibes would love to see him irl one day.

Arsenal fans that come up with the chants. They are gifts from the football heaven, all these chants hit.

Portland Thorns fans. There was a shit ton on Portland fans at Sincy’s last game at Christine Sinclair Place. That’s dedication, that was a mid week game, and it was late at night and you would have had to come to another country.

AS Roma fans. There are some party poopers and shit ton of sex bots on their socials but the fans consistently support the team through the good and the recent bad.

Jamaica WNT fans are peak. 3 million out of your own pockets to pay for the Reggae Girlz to go to the World Cup is insane for so many reasons.

Veteran fans. shout out to all of you for paving the way. Like many cringe inspirational speeches say. You guys walked so we can run.

Rúben Dias x Reader- Meeting Headcannons

My first one, hope you like it

• Your mum was born in Portugal so you often go on holiday there. Your extended family live there so it’s nice to get away.

• You don’t watch much football but Portugal is a bit football mad so you end up getting coerced into going to a Benfica match by your mum.

• It’s crazy and you end up getting very involved in it, cheering for the home team. Your eyes catch on one of the defenders who scores a goal.

• Rúben sees you as the match goes on, he thinks you’re very beautiful and how he hasn’t seen you at the stadium before. An older woman is stood next to you but no boyfriend it seems. You look happy watching the match with a Benfica red top on to support the home team.

• In fact, you make such an impression on him that when the match has ended he throws his shirt to you. You feel the cameras focusing on you as everyone wonders why the Benfica defender has given you his shirt.

• When you’re leaving the stadium, he’s there with fans asking for photographs and autographs. When he sees you, he leads you out of the public area.

• Thank god you speak Portuguese otherwise you’d feel like a right idiot with Rúben talking rapidly in Portuguese and you not understanding a word of it.

• Up close you can fully appreciate how good-looking he is. Looks aren’t everything but they are nice you know 😉

• When he asks where you’re from and you reply the UK, he feels guilty at all his blabbering in Portuguese but then impressed on how you sound close to a native speaker.

• You explain how much warmer Portugal is than back home and that you visit often as your mum was born here and your extended family still live here.

• He talks about his hometown of Amadora, which when you tell him you’ve never been he vows to get the chance to show you before you leave Portugal.

• He’s disappointed that you’re here on holiday and not to stay because that means it’ll be a struggle to stay in contact.

• When you have to go he gives you his number and promises to call you ‘I’ve got to give you a tour of Amadora before you leave’ he vows. You realise he’s a man of his word when he calls you that night to arrange his tour of his hometown.

• It turns into a bit of a holiday romance between Rúben and you, from meeting to the end of your holiday he takes you to his hometown, to the beach, to see local sights and on the last night, he takes you out for dinner.

• ‘I’m going to miss you when you go. I’ve had fun’

• You assure him that you’ll text and call him all the time. ‘You can’t get rid of me that easily Rúben’

• He drives you back home and at the door to your family’s holiday house, he kisses you. ‘I’ll miss you’

• When you get home, Rúben texts you to check you got home safe. You text him saying you got home fine but miss him.

• Several months go by where you become official and you’re missing Rúben more and more. So you drop everything around you and grab a flight to Portugal. One way.

• He can’t believe his eyes when he sees you ‘are you really here with me?’

• ‘In the flesh Ruby’ he picks you up hugging you tightly, not letting you go.

• He kisses you, hungrily as he says ‘don’t leave me again meu amor’

• ‘Never’ you promise.

Plot: João Félix asks you when you first heard abt him as a footballer. ------------------------------------------------------------

" bebê, when did you first hear about me? Like as a footballer. " your boyfriend asked you while driving to your parents house. He knew your family supported Benfica, but it never clicked to him that's probably how you first heard of him.

You laughed a bit. " how do you think? " you asked and he shrugged, parking the car into the free parking at your parents home and from the balcony your parents greeted you.

" Olá y/n e João, subam os portões destrancados!" Hey y/n and joão, go up the unlocked gates! They announced and you brought your boyfriend. Your dad was a massive Benfica fanatic and was wearing one of the jerseys.

After the greeting you four sat on the balcony couches and talked about school, work and football. Your dad was talking alot. Like alot. And you started to get a bit embarrassed about how much. But João didn't mind, and enjoyed talking with your dad.

At dinner, you and your boyfriend met up with your favorite cousin and her boyfriend in this little restaurant. And the restaurant was displaying Benfica merch, João found it funny how much it was coming up today.

Later at home, joão held you close in bed and kissed your collarbone. " you heard about me from Benfica I'm guessing? " he asked you.

You giggled, " yeah. You were really cute- and still are."

I honestly think that people need to realise that Lucy isn't always going to be playing the best every player has a game where they make a mistake or two it's normal!!One thing about been a footballer is learning new things about your play and improving your play! Let the women catch a breath before yous all throw hate towards her for god sake she's one of the best in the world for a reason cut her some slack
