Public opinion about Betty Broderick is deeply divided. Some view her as a woman driven by revenge, while others see her as a victim of emotional turmoil stemming from a bitter divorce. Betty's twenty-year marriage to Daniel Broderick resulted in four children, and they established their family in San Diego, California.
Initially, Betty was the sole breadwinner, supporting the family and even financing Daniel's college education. He later obtained medical and law degrees and started his own practice, allowing Betty to step into the role of a traditional homemaker while Daniel focused on providing for their family. In 1983, their marriage took a tumultuous turn when Daniel hired 21-year-old Linda Kolkena as a receptionist in his medical business. It was around this time that Betty's suspicions of an affair between Daniel and Linda began to surface. Constant conflicts marred their relationship, and in 1985, Daniel moved out of their shared home and into a bachelor pad.
Daniel eventually gained custody of their children after Betty left them on his doorstep. He also admitted to Betty that she was right all along - he had been having an affair with Linda, and it had started not long after she began working for him. This revelation was a painful blow to a woman who had been devoted to her husband, raising their four children and supporting the family financially for many years. The divorce proceedings were protracted and acrimonious, finally concluding in 1989. Later that same year, just after what would have been Betty and Daniel's 20th wedding anniversary, Daniel married Linda.
On the night of November 5, 1989, Betty covertly entered Daniel and Linda's marital home, armed with a Smith & Wesson revolver, and fatally shot the couple. Linda died instantly, while Daniel, unfortunately, survived momentarily, uttering his last words, "Okay, you shot me. I'm dead." Betty promptly surrendered to the authorities and faced charges of second-degree murder. She was subsequently sentenced to two consecutive terms of 15 years to life in prison.

No i am like actually offended, second degree? a hung jury? 30 years for 2 murders? She went to her ex-husband's home and killed him and his wife while they were sleeping. Omg ridiculous.
And she's a horrible mother who left her children with him and one time told her 13 year old son on the phone that he needs to get the bitch (mistress turned wife) out after which the son went to the bathroom and cut off chunks of his hair with a scissor and told the babysitter he was trying to get her out of his head and one daughter was crying on the phone pleading her to stop sending threats and using foul language.
Like that's insane that clearly there has been some sort of public reaction about family preservation in her favour when she's vile and her defense was obvs dogshit saying she just went with a gun to talk but then got scared of the slewping figures moving so shot them. Like yes being cheated on and left unfair, so you take his money and accept a huge alimony girl.

Betty Broderick's case is a polarizing one, with some perceiving her as a revenge-driven woman, while others view her as a victim of a bitter divorce. Betty was married to Daniel Broderick for two decades, and during that time, the couple had four children and established their residence in San Diego, California. Initially, Betty was the family's sole breadwinner, paying for Daniel's college education. However, once he earned degrees in medicine and law and established his own business, Betty could quit her job and become a full-time homemaker. In 1983, Daniel hired Linda Kolkena, a 21-year-old receptionist, at his medical practice. Betty's suspicions were aroused when she began to suspect that an affair was going on between the two. The tension between the couple escalated, and in 1985, Daniel moved out of their home and into a bachelor pad. Daniel ultimately obtained custody of their children after Betty left them on his doorstep. He also admitted to having an affair with Linda, which began shortly after she started working for him. This was a painful revelation for Betty, who had been completely devoted to her husband, given birth to their four children, and had been the primary provider for their family for many years. The divorce proceedings were lengthy and tumultuous, with the finalization occurring in 1989. Later that year, just after what would have been Betty and Daniel's 20th wedding anniversary, Daniel married Linda. On the night of November 5, 1989, Betty snuck into Daniel and Linda's home armed with a Smith & Wesson revolver and killed them both. Linda died instantly, but Daniel was not as fortunate. Betty confessed that Daniel's last words were, "Okay, you shot me. I'm dead." Betty turned herself into the authorities immediately and was sentenced to two consecutive terms of 15 years to life after being found guilty of second-degree murder.

The Mob (1951)
"Want a room?"
"Nah, I just came in to admire the decorations."
"Three bucks a day."
"What's that include?"
"Sheets on the bed."
"You got a register?"
"Don't be funny."
"Here, take my stuff upstairs."
"This ain't the Waldorf, friend."
"How long d'ya work here before you found that out?"

The jury system seems like such a waste of time, how can you have a hung jury for an ex wife going into the guy's house with a gun and shooting him and his wife while they are sleeping, like? What is this?

I made a Fancast for a Batman TV series in the 80s a while ago, but I only revisited it yesterday. It's almost fully complete (at least, I've filled nearly all the roles I added). Let me list them:
Batman: Pierce Brosnan
Robin I (Dick Grayson): maybe Matthew Broderick?
Robin II (Jason Todd): Not Sure Yet
Batgirl: Molly Ringwald
Alfred: Jon Pertwee
Commissioner Gordon: John Astin
Harvey Bullock: John Candy
Renee Montoya: Rachel Ticotin
Lucius Fox: Not Sure Yet
Leslie Thompkins: Betty White
Jack Ryder: Richard Belzer
Vicki Vale: Dana Delany
Jason Bard: Andrew McCarthy
Aunt Harriet: Doris Roberts or Rue McClanahan
Thomas & Martha Wayne: Adam West & Julie Newmar
The Joker: Willem Dafoe
The Penguin: Danny DeVito
The Riddler: Robin Williams
Catwoman: Mary Steenburgen
Two-Face: Not Sure Yet
Poison Ivy: Kathleen Turner
The Scarecrow: Christopher Lee
The Mad Hatter: Martin Short
Mr. Freeze: Patrick Stewart
Killer Croc: Not Sure Yet
Black Mask: Not Sure Yet
Rupert Thorne: Carroll O'Connor
Ra's Al Ghul: Ricardo Montalban
Talia Al Ghul: Demi Moore
I missed a few here, because the list was getting too long to put on one thing. But you get the picture. For all those I can't yet figure out, suggestions are currently open. I do desperately need help putting the rest of this together. I mean, I've only got 3-4 left. It'd be nice to say I'd completed a cast list (I usually never do). Here's the link if you want to help:
