Tumblr media
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
The sons of Judah:
Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanite. Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, who put him to death.
Tamar, Judah’s daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
The sons of Perez:
Hezron and Hamul.
The sons of Zerah:
Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara—five in all.
The son of Carmi:
Achar, who brought trouble upon Israel by violating the ban on devoted things.
The son of Ethan:
Azariah.
The sons who were born to Hezron:
Jerahmeel, Ram, and Caleb.
Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, a leader of the descendants of Judah.
Nahshon was the father of Salmon, and Salmon was the father of Boaz.
Boaz was the father of Obed, and Obed was the father of Jesse.
Jesse was the father of Eliab his firstborn; Abinadab was born second, Shimea third, Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth, Ozem sixth, and David seventh. Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the three sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel. Abigail was the mother of Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah and by Jerioth. These were the sons of Azubah: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore to him Hur. Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri was the father of Bezalel.
Later, Hezron slept with the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead. He had married her when he was sixty years old, and she bore to him Segub. Segub was the father of Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. But Geshur and Aram captured Havvoth-jair, along with Kenath and its sixty surrounding villages. All these were descendants of Machir the father of Gilead.
After Hezron died in Caleb-ephrathah, his wife Abijah bore to him Ashhur the father of Tekoa. — 1 Chronicles 2:1-24 | The Reader's Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean.Bible. POLS477 In the News Post, 03/24/2021
Exit polls following Israel’s Wednesday election project the Religious Zionist Party will secure six to seven seats in the Knesset (Israeli parliament). The Religious Zionist Party’s leader, Bezalel Smotrich, is allied with Itamar Ben Gvir, leader of the Jewish Power Party (and disciple of the late Rabbi Meir Kahane). Benjamin Netanyahu is pressuring these two far-right parties to unite with The National Religious Party and the openly homophobic Noam faction to help him secure the minimum electoral threshold in the Knesset. This is yet another example of far right movements gaining traction in western democracies, particularly within the last decade. Many studying Israeli politics are concerned by this development, arguing that the far-right’s support of Netanyahu will result in his policy becoming beholden to the parties’ extreme agendas. Smotrich (Religious Zionist Party), for example, recently compared same-sex marriage to incest and his organized several anti-gay protests in the past. He also tweeted his support for segregation of Jewish and Arab women in maternity wards, saying “it’s only natural my wife would not want to lie next to someone who just gave birth to a baby that might murder her baby in another 20 years.”
Ben Gvir (Jewish Power Party) has made a career out of legal representation for Jewish extremists accused of attacks against Palestinians. Prior to the election, he hung a portrait of Baruch Goldstein in his living room. Goldstein was Kahane disciple like Ben Gvir, but he’s known for shooting and killing 29 Palestinians in 1994 as they prayed in a West Bank mosque. The National Religious Party as a whole vehemently supports Jewish settlements in occupied territories, as well as annexation of the West Bank. Israelis on the political left see a major issue with the far-right’s rising power in Netanyahu’s impending coalition, especially as their views are likely to clash with the newly elected Biden administration in the U.S. Nahum Barnea, journalist for the Yediot Aharanot newspaper, expressed his concerns prior to the election, writing, “The Kahanists want to join the government not just for the ministers’ plush seats, the salary and car, an army of aides and funding for their supporters. They have an agenda. First of all, it means freedom for Jewish terrorists to operate in the territories. Second, it means destroying the justice system. Third, it means apartheid within Israel; racial separation at hospitals, universities, the civil service and the (military). Fourth, it means gender discrimination. Fifth, it means enforcing national-Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) religious codes. They aren’t playing around.”

2 Chronicles 1:1–3:17
Solomon Requests Wisdom
1 Now Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and exalted him exceedingly.
2 And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every leader in all Israel, the heads of the fathers’ houses. 3 Then Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for the tabernacle of meeting with God was there, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness. 4  But David had brought up the ark of God from Kirjath Jearim to the place David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem. 5 Now the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the Lord; Solomon and the assembly sought Him there. 6 And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.
7  On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
8 And Solomon said to God: “You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place. 9 Now, O Lord God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. 10  Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”
11  Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”
Solomon’s Military and Economic Power
13 So Solomon came to Jerusalem from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the tabernacle of meeting, and reigned over Israel. 14  And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem. 15  Also the king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars as abundant as the sycamores which are in the lowland. 16  And Solomon had horses imported from Egypt and Keveh; the king’s merchants bought them in Keveh at the current price. 17 They also acquired and imported from Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty; thus, through their agents, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria.
Solomon Prepares to Build the Temple
2 Then Solomon determined to build a temple for the name of the Lord, and a royal house for himself. 2  Solomon selected seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand to quarry stone in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.
3 Then Solomon sent to Hiram king of Tyre, saying:
As you have dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build himself a house to dwell in, so deal with me. 4 Behold, I am building a temple for the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, for the continual showbread, for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the New Moons, and on the set feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.
And the temple which I build will be great, for our God is greater than all gods. 6  But who is able to build Him a temple, since heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a temple, except to burn sacrifice before Him?
Therefore send me at once a man skillful to work in gold and silver, in bronze and iron, in purple and crimson and blue, who has skill to engrave with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided. 8  Also send me cedar and cypress and algum logs from Lebanon, for I know that your servants have skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and indeed my servants will be with your servants, 9 to prepare timber for me in abundance, for the temple which I am about to build shall be great and wonderful.
And indeed I will give to your servants, the woodsmen who cut timber, twenty thousand kors of ground wheat, twenty thousand kors of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
11 Then Hiram king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon:
Because the Lord loves His people, He has made you king over them.
12  Hiram also said:
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, for He has given King David a wise son, endowed with prudence and understanding, who will build a temple for the Lord and a royal house for himself!
And now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, Huram my master craftsman 14  (the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre), skilled to work in gold and silver, bronze and iron, stone and wood, purple and blue, fine linen and crimson, and to make any engraving and to accomplish any plan which may be given to him, with your skillful men and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
Now therefore, the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants. 16  And we will cut wood from Lebanon, as much as you need; we will bring it to you in rafts by sea to Joppa, and you will carry it up to Jerusalem.
17  Then Solomon numbered all the aliens who were in the land of Israel, after the census in which David his father had numbered them; and there were found to be one hundred and fifty-three thousand six hundred. 18 And he made seventy thousand of them bearers of burdens, eighty thousand stonecutters in the mountain, and three thousand six hundred overseers to make the people work.
Solomon Builds the Temple
3 Now Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. 2 And he began to build on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign.
3 This is the foundation which Solomon laid for building the house of God: The length was sixty cubits (by cubits according to the former measure) and the width twenty cubits. 4 And the vestibule that was in front of the sanctuary was twenty cubits long across the width of the house, and the height was one hundred and twenty. He overlaid the inside with pure gold. 5  The larger room he paneled with cypress which he overlaid with fine gold, and he carved palm trees and chainwork on it. 6 And he decorated the house with precious stones for beauty, and the gold was gold from Parvaim. 7 He also overlaid the house—the beams and doorposts, its walls and doors—with gold; and he carved cherubim on the walls.
8 And he made the Most Holy Place. Its length was according to the width of the house, twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits. He overlaid it with six hundred talents of fine gold. 9 The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold; and he overlaid the upper area with gold. 10  In the Most Holy Place he made two cherubim, fashioned by carving, and overlaid them with gold. 11 The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits in overall length: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, touching the wall of the room, and the other wing was five cubits, touching the wing of the other cherub; 12 one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, touching the wall of the room, and the other wing also was five cubits, touching the wing of the other cherub. 13 The wings of these cherubim spanned twenty cubits overall. They stood on their feet, and they faced inward. 14 And he made the veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen, and wove cherubim into it.
15 Also he made in front of the temple two pillars thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits. 16 He made wreaths of chainwork, as in the inner sanctuary, and put them on top of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the wreaths of chainwork. 17 Then he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left; he called the name of the one on the right hand Jachin, and the name of the one on the left Boaz.

Now these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb took Ephrath as his wife, who bore him Hur. 20 And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezalel. 21 Now afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub begot Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 (Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir..#1Chronicles2:1-55#PraisetheLord#wordoftheday#wordofGod#biblestudy#faith#BwanaYesuasifiwe#imani#Nenolaleo#NenolaMungu#barikiwa#beblessed#eastafrica#Tanzania#Kenya#Uganda#Burundi#Rwanda#Congo#swahili#Coventry#UK#lifestyleblogger#vlogger#mswahili🇹🇿#Rachelsiwa🙏❤️

April Prayer Points
Hi Prayertag team! Here we are, in the fourth month of 2017.... This is a pivotal month for the church, as many people will attend service on the 16th, who do not know the Lord! Tremendous opportunity..... Please pray for Easter! 1. Growth A. God would constantly add multitudes of men and women to the City Church. Acts 5:14 And all the more believers in the Lord, multitudes of men and women, were constantly added to their number, B. 50 new people will visit the church weekly, attend Growtrack and become a member of City Church. Acts 11:24 for he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith And considerable numbers were brought to the Lord. C. Strengthened the church in faith and double our Sunday attendance. Acts 16:5 So the churches were being strengthened in the faith, and were increasing in number daily. 2. Salvation A. Give City Church favor to see hundreds of people saved and added to the Church. Acts 2:47 praising God and having favor with all the people And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. B. God's hand would be on City Church and large numbers of people will believe and turn to Jesus. Acts 11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number who believed turned to the Lord. 3. Volunteers A. Disciples, followers of Jesus would increase in numbers in the church and many people would volunteer on the Dream Team. Acts 6:1 Now at this time while the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Hellenistic Jews against the native Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food. B.Bring all types of skilled volunteers who have the skills and abilities for anything needed in the church. 1 Chronicles 28: 21 Now look! Here are the ranks of the priests and the descendants of Levi for the entire service of the Temple of God, and in all of the work there will be all types of volunteers who have skills for anything needed for the services. Furthermore, the officers and all of the people will be at your complete command." C.Large numbers men, women and youth would give their time, resources and energy to volunteer at the church. Ps 110:3 Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your young (men)are to You as the dew. D.Jesus would stirred hearts of church attenders and they would volunteer. Ex 36:2 Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the Lord had put skill -- everyone whose heart stirred him to volunteer to do the work, E.God would raise up many leaders, care pastors and pastors to lead and take leadership positions in the church. Judges 5:2 When the leaders lead in Israel, when the people volunteer, praise the Lord. 4. South Campus A. Our South Campus would increase in growth, leaders and finances. Acts 6:7 The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith. 5. Protection/ Peace A. Gods hand of protection on us and all the children and youth in our church. Ps 5:12 Certainly you reward the godly, Lord. Like a shield you protect them in your good favor Ps 91:11 For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways. Ps 16:1 Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You. Ps 17: 8 Protect me as the most precious part of the eye; hide me under the shadow of your wings B. We pray Jesus will give us peace and comfort to the church. Acts 9:31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase. 6. Provision A. Lord make our church abound in prosperity so we can reach people for Christ. Deut 28:11 The LORD will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. B. Make us prosper abundantly in all works of our hand. Deut 30:9 The Lord your God will make you prosper abundantly in all the work of your hands with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your soil's produce. Indeed, the Lord will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers, His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth. C. Crown this year at the church with your goodness and prosperity so we can help more people. Ps 65:11 You crown the year with your goodness; your footsteps drop prosperity behind them. 7. Worship A. As we worship bless us and take sickness away from us and heal us. Ex 23:25 Worship the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. I will take away your sickness. B. Give us Great joy as we worship and give you thanks and praise. Luke 24:52 And they gave him worship and went back to Jerusalem with great joy. 8. Preaching A.As people hear the preaching of the word they would believe. Acts 4:4 But many of those who had listened to their preaching believed; and the number of the adult men had now grown to be about 5,000. B. Our pastor will have time and energy to devote himself to prayer and preaching. Acts 6:4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the preaching ministry. C. Preaching at the church would flourish Acts 6:7 So the preaching about God flourished, the number of the disciples in Jerusalem multiplied greatly, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith. D. People would believe in Jesus because of the preaching of the word and be water baptized. Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. E. The preaching of the word would be bold in the church. Our pastor Jerry would preach with boldness and many would believe in Jesus. Acts 9:29 preaching boldly in the name of the Lord: and he spake and disputed against the Grecian Jews; but they were seeking to kill him. F. Pray the preaching would make many disciples in City Church. Acts 14:21 And having made a number of disciples through the preaching of the good news in that town... G. Signs and wonders would follow the preaching of the word. Rom 15:19 Even as my preaching has been accompanied] with the power of signs and wonders, [and all of it] by the power of the Holy Spirit. [The result is] that starting from Jerusalem and as far round as Illyricum, I have fully preached the Gospel [faithfully executing, accomplishing, carrying out to the full the good news] of Christ (the Messiah) in its entirety. Thank you so very much. Your prayers are making a difference!

 Exodus 38-40; Hebrews 1
Discuss in the comments section.
The following text is from the Contemporary English Version. Occasionally we will rotate the translations just to have some variety.
  Exodus 38-40
Bezalel built an altar of acacia wood for offering sacrifices. It was seven and a half feet square and four and a half feet high 2 with each of its four corners sticking up like the horn of a bull, and it was completely covered with bronze. 3 The equipment for the altar was also made of bronze—the pans for the hot ashes, the shovels, the meat forks, and the fire pans. 4 Midway up the altar he built a ledge around it and covered the bottom half of the altar with a decorative bronze grating. 5 Then he attached a bronze ring beneath the ledge at the four corners to put the poles through. 6 He covered two acacia wood poles with bronze and 7 put them through the rings for carrying the altar, which was shaped like an open box.
The Large Bronze Bowl
8 Bezalel made a large bowl and a stand out of bronze from the mirrors of the women who helped at the entrance to the sacred tent.
The Courtyard around the Sacred Tent
9-17 Around the sacred tent Bezalel built a courtyard one hundred fifty feet long on the south and north and seventy-five feet wide on the east and west. He used twenty bronze posts on bronze stands for the south and north and ten for the west. Then he hung a curtain of fine linen on the posts along each of these three sides by using silver hooks and rods. He placed three bronze posts on each side of the entrance at the east and hung a curtain seven and a half yards wide on each set of posts.
18-19 For the entrance to the courtyard, Bezalel made a curtain ten yards long, which he hung on four bronze posts that were set on bronze stands. This curtain was the same height as the one for the rest of the courtyard and was made of fine linen embroidered and woven with blue, purple, and red wool. He hung the curtain on the four posts, using silver hooks and rods. 20 The pegs for the tent and for the curtain around the tent were made of bronze.
The Sacred Tent
21-23 Bezalel had worked closely with Oholiab,[a] who was an expert at designing and engraving, and at embroidering blue, purple, and red wool. The two of them completed the work that the Lord had commanded.
Moses made Aaron’s son Ithamar responsible for keeping record of the metals used for the sacred tent. 24 According to the official weights, the amount of gold given was two thousand two hundred nine pounds, 25 and the silver that was collected when the people were counted[b]came to seven thousand five hundred fifty pounds. 26 Everyone who was counted paid the required amount, and there was a total of 603,550 men who were twenty years old or older.
27 Seventy-five pounds of the silver were used to make each of the one hundred stands for the sacred tent and the curtain. 28 The remaining fifty pounds of silver were used for the hooks and rods and for covering the tops of the posts.
29 Five thousand three hundred pounds of bronze were given. 30 And it was used to make the stands for the entrance to the tent, the altar and its grating, the equipment for the altar, 31 the stands for the posts that surrounded the courtyard, including those at the entrance to the courtyard, and the pegs for the tent and the courtyard.
Making the Priestly Clothes
39 Beautiful priestly clothes were made of blue, purple, and red wool for Aaron to wear when he performed his duties in the holy place. This was done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
2-3 The entire priestly vest was made of fine linen, woven with blue, purple, and red wool. Thin sheets of gold were hammered out and cut into threads that were skillfully woven into the vest. 4-5 It had two shoulder straps to support it and a sash that fastened around the waist. 6 Onyx[c] stones were placed in gold settings, and each one was engraved with the name of one of Israel’s sons. 7 Then these were attached to the shoulder straps of the vest, so the Lord would never forget his people. Everything was done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
The Breastpiece
8 The breastpiece was made with the same materials and designs as the priestly vest. 9 It was nine inches square and folded double 10 with four rows of three precious stones: A carnelian, a chrysolite, and an emerald were in the first row; 11 a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond were in the second row; 12 a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst were in the third row; 13 and a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper[d] were in the fourth row. They were mounted in a delicate gold setting, 14 and on each of them was engraved the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
15-18 Two gold rings were attached to the upper front corners of the breastpiece and fastened with two braided gold chains to gold settings on the shoulder straps. 19 Two other gold rings were attached to the lower inside corners next to the vest, 20 and two more near the bottom of the shoulder straps right above the sash. 21 To keep the breastpiece in place, a blue cord was used to tie the two lower rings on the breastpiece to those on the vest. These things were done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
The Clothes for the Priests
22 The priestly robe was made of blue wool 23 with an opening in the center for the head. The material around the collar was bound so as to keep it from raveling. 24-26 Along the hem of the robe were woven pomegranates[e] of blue, purple, and red wool with a bell of pure gold between each of them. This robe was to be worn by Aaron when he performed his duties.
27-29 Everything that Aaron and his sons wore was made of fine linen woven with blue, purple, and red wool, including their robes and turbans, their fancy caps and underwear, and even their sashes that were embroidered with needlework.
30 “Dedicated to the Lord” was engraved on a narrow strip of pure gold, 31 which was fastened to Aaron’s turban. These things were done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
The Work Is Completed
32 So the people of Israel finished making everything the Lord had told Moses to make. 33 Then they brought it all to Moses: the sacred tent and its equipment, including the hooks, the framework and crossbars, and its posts and stands; 34 the covering of tanned ram skins and fine leather; the inside curtain; 35 the sacred chest with its carrying poles and the place of mercy; 36 the table with all that goes on it, including the sacred bread; 37 the lampstand of pure gold, together with its equipment and oil; 38 the gold-covered incense altar; the ordination oil and the sweet-smelling incense; the curtain for the entrance to the tent; 39 the bronze altar for sacrifices with its bronze grating, its carrying poles, and its equipment; the large bronze bowl with its stand; 40 the curtain with its posts and cords, and its pegs and stands that go around the courtyard; everything needed for the sacred tent; 41 and the finely woven priestly clothes for Aaron and his sons.
42-43 When Moses saw that the people had done everything exactly as the Lord had commanded, he gave them his blessing.
The Lord’s Tent Is Set Up
40 The Lord said to Moses:
2 Set up my tent on the first day of the year[f]3 and put the chest with the Ten Commandments behind the inside curtain[g] of the tent. 4 Bring in the table and set on it those things that are made for it. Also bring in the lampstand and attach the lamps to it. 5 Then place the gold altar of incense in front of the sacred chest and hang a curtain at the entrance to the tent. 6 Set the altar for burning sacrifices in front of the entrance to my tent. 7 Put the large bronze bowl between the tent and the altar and fill the bowl with water. 8 Surround the tent and the altar with the wall of curtains and hang the curtain that was made for the entrance.
9 Use the sacred olive oil to dedicate the tent and everything in it to me. 10 Do the same thing with the altar for offering sacrifices and its equipment 11 and with the bowl and its stand. 12 Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent and have them wash themselves. 13 Dress Aaron in the priestly clothes, then use the sacred olive oil to ordain him and dedicate him to me as my priest. 14 Put the priestly robes on Aaron’s sons 15 and ordain them in the same way, so they and their descendants will always be my priests.
16 Moses followed the Lord’s instructions. 17 And on the first day of the first month[h] of the second year, the sacred tent was set up. 18 The posts, stands, and framework were put in place, 19 then the two layers of coverings were hung over them. 20 The stones with the Ten Commandments written on them were stored in the sacred chest, the place of mercy[i] was put on top of it, and the carrying poles were attached. 21 The chest was brought into the tent and set behind the curtain in the most holy place. These things were done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 The table for the sacred bread was put along the north wall of the holy place, 23 after which the bread was set on the table. 24 The lampstand was put along the south wall, 25 then the lamps were attached to it there in the presence of the Lord. 26 The gold incense altar was set up in front of the curtain, 27 and sweet-smelling incense was burned on it. These things were done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
28 The curtain was hung at the entrance to the sacred tent. 29 Then the altar for offering sacrifices was put in front of the tent, and animal sacrifices and gifts of grain were offered there. 30 The large bronze bowl was placed between the altar and the entrance to the tent. It was filled with water, 31 then Moses and Aaron, together with Aaron’s sons, washed their hands and feet. 32 In fact, they washed each time before entering the tent or offering sacrifices at the altar. These things were done exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses.
33 Finally, Moses had the curtain hung around the courtyard.
The Glory of the Lord
34 Suddenly the sacred tent was covered by a thick cloud and filled with the glory of the Lord. 35 And so, Moses could not enter the tent. 36 Whenever the cloud moved from the tent, the people would break camp and follow; 37 then they would set up camp and stay there, until it moved again. 38 No matter where the people traveled, the Lord was with them. Each day his cloud was over the tent, and each night a fire could be seen in the cloud.
  Hebrews 1
Long ago in many ways and at many times God’s prophets spoke his message to our ancestors. 2 But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son. 3 God’s Son has all the brightness of God’s own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together.
After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side[a]of the glorious God in heaven. 4 He had become much greater than the angels, and the name he was given is far greater than any of theirs.
God’s Son Is Greater than Angels
5 God has never said     to any of the angels, “You are my Son, because today     I have become your Father!” Neither has God said     to any of them, “I will be his Father,     and he will be my Son!”
6 When God brings his first-born Son[b] into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him.
7 And when God speaks about the angels, he says,
“I change my angels into wind and my servants     into flaming fire.”
8 But God says about his Son,
“You are God, and you will rule     as King forever! Your[c] royal power     brings about justice. 9 You loved justice     and hated evil, and so I, your God,     have chosen you. I appointed you and made you happier     than any of your friends.”
10 The Scriptures also say,
“In the beginning, Lord,     you were the one who laid the foundation of the earth     and created the heavens. 11 They will all disappear and wear out like clothes,     but you will last forever. 12 You will roll them up     like a robe and change them     like a garment. But you are always the same,     and you will live forever.”
13 God never said to any     of the angels, “Sit at my right side until I make your enemies     into a footstool for you!”
14 Angels are merely spirits sent to serve people who are going to be saved.
The reading plan I’ve chosen is from Bible Class Material and it’s a 5 day plan, with weekend days to catch up or get ahead or just take a break!
