Dumb idea but what if I wrote a Gravity Falls BillDip Fanfic where Dipper has star powers/is a witch and trans dealing with his parents and schools transphobia. He's been seeing Bill in his dreams for months, and they have become friends, the one person he feels he can share his anger and trauma with (He doesn't want to burden Mabel. He comes to Gravity Falls with Mabel for his 16 birthday where his powers activate, time pauses in a swirl of blue magic as his freckles glow. He comes back and everyone is freaking out, because they can also see Bill Cyphers human form floating by Dipper. someone says something that sets him off and he runs into the woods, seeking out Bill's statue. Then he makes a deal with Bill to awaken him in exchange for using bill's magic to transition and bring Bill into a human, limited form. Timeskip several years.

Really weird idea huh? Anyways, should I write it?

Multifandom Controversial Ships

“Ships”. Ah, something that also causes a lot of arguments. There are people who thinks persons shouldn’t write, draw, or ship certain characters, but there are people who thinks they have the right to ship everything they want. Well, sorry if someone disagrees with me, but I support the second group.

Don’t get me wrong, even if I support their opinion (let them ship everything they want) doesn’t mean that I like some ships that they like, but at least I don’t hurt them. I mean, I saw a post that said that anyone that ships “X” controversial ship should kill themselves. And you might don’t like “X” controversial ship, but shipping it doesn’t harm anyone. Telling somebody to kill themselves? Oh, that definitely harm someone. In a terrible way, too.

And let me tell you something.

If you don’t like some ship because of the age difference or the fact that it is a “enemies to lovers” and they hurt each other, or because it “doesn’t make sense”, read this:

1. If you don’t like one ship because of the age difference (Amorra, Pompous Pep, BlackIce, Sladick, Billdipp, Tomarry) I must say… Aren’t there already canonical ships with age difference? Because last I checked, ships like SesshomaruxRin, InuyashaxKagome, NanamixTomoe, RemxRitsuka, Allurance (and more) are age-difference ships. So… Those ships are okey because they are canon or because they are straight? Because if you ship those ships, hate other ships that are almost the same seems… quite hypocritical. And if the people that write about them (or draws about them) age-up the young characters to make them at least adults, then what’s the problem?

2. If you don’t like one ship because of the “enemies to lovers” thing I must say, again, aren’t there already canonical “enemies to lovers” ships? Like, I don’t know, LeoxKarai, Catradora, Entrapdak, Lotura (and more). What’s the difference between this ships and the ships I mentioned before? The age difference? Because if it’s for that, go read the number 1.

3. If you don’t like one ship because they hurt each other or because the villain killed the parents of the hero, I must say… Can you accept the father-son/father-daughter relationship of that villain-hero? Because if you can do that, and if the villain-hero put their differences aside and were capable of love each other as their family, I think that in the right circumstances, they could love each other as their partner.

4. If you don’t like one ship because it doesn’t make sense, or because they don’t have chemistry, I have to say that there are canonical ships that definitely don’t have chemistry. Or that doesn’t make sense. I find that funny, because there are people that still ships those ships. So… what’s your point then? And since when shipping a ship is about the chemistry the characters have? Because if the canon ships were based in the "chemistry", trust me, there are some canon ships that wouldn't be canon.

And if that doesn’t convince you, let me tell you this: ALL OF THE SHIPS ARE FICTIONAL. WE SHIP TWO CHARACTERS, NOT REAL PERSONS. Shipping (for example) a 40 year old man with a 17 year old girl (like Amorra) in the fiction doesn’t mean that we would ship a 40 year old man with a 17 year old girl in reality. People should know that the FICTION is NOT THE REALITY.

Having said that, yes, as you may have noticed, I’m a proshipper. Even if I don’t like a ship I don’t harass nor criticize the people that ship those ships. And all the people should be like that. You don’t like a ship. Fine. No one is forcing you to ship it. But at least you have to respect the people who like that ship. Because, again, shipping two characters is not hurting anyone. Unlike saying somebody to kill themselves.

That actually hurts someone. And that actually is really disgusting.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot something. You can like terror movies where people die in a terrible way (or like even gore films) and accept or even support canon ships like Adrinette, Sasusaku, Westallen (and other ships like those) but if you like a villain-hero ship with age difference but in a healthy relationship suddenly that's too much for you?
