The fact that I don't think there's much fanart of Captain Marvel/Shazam and Captain Marvel/Mar-Vell of the Kree is a shame. Both characters honestly deserved better. Shazam deserved not to be sold to DC because DC was petty and accused it of plagiarism, and Mar-Vell didn't deserve to die because Jim Starlin was going through some stuff and needed a punching bag. Can we let these two just share a drink? Or maybe not a drink, since Billy Batson is a kid. Whatever. Let Mar-Vell, Billy Batson and maybe Rick Jones all have a little hangout session. They all deserve it. And as is usual when I remember Jim Starlin killed two characters at two companies within 10 years (Mar-Vell and Jason Todd), I want to write that man a piece of hate mail. Or at least imagine those two characters punching him.Screw you, Jim Starlin.

What's your favorite bit of Captain Marvel lore?

Ooh that's a tough question!

I think my current favorite bit of lore is that when Billy saved Freddy's life by sharing his powers with him, he unknowingly caused Freddy's brother Kit to die. But because he wasn't supposed to die he was granted ghost powers and became Kid Eternity!

An extra bit of lore that I always find funny is that the Sivanas lived on Venus for a time and Beautia was even the Empress of Venus!

NEW CAP MARVEL THOUGHT: Billy Batson actually being a very well-known figure in the superhero community, just like as himself. he's a little boy w his own radio show who reports on superhero stuff & has a lot of surprisingly smart and insightful things to say so of course ppl know & like him and listen to his show.

it's a pretty well known fact that he and the other radio staff are buds w Captain Marvel so not uncommon for people to get in touch with Billy when they want a message passed to Cap & consequently build up a rapport. & they all like Billy! he's a great kid. :) literally no-one questions any of this.

I was bored so I decided to google DC Character Sorter. See if I really do have any biases, subconscious or conscious. And it appears I do. Here's my Top 11 and Bottom 11. One criticism: No Red Tornado. If Red Tornado were on this list, he would've been top 5.

Numbers #1-4 are all characters I love. Jason Todd and Guy Gardner both have anger issues (I've extrapolated this from my limited experience with them in other media), and I relate to that. Tim Drake is also shy (again, extrapolating based on context clues) and that's relatable too. I've always liked Alfred. I don't know why Barbara Gordon and Commissioner Gordon are in the top 10, and I guess Alan Scott because I've always liked Golden Age DC? Idk, but it honestly feels pretty accurate.

Also, obligatory Screw Batman. He is my least favorite character on here for a reason, namely I would click any other character's name over him (even characters I didn't even know).
