1. hm what’s happening?
2. oh i see that’s cool.
3. hm.
4. WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK

Hello! I just happened upon you by looking at the Seventh Sanctum tag. I hope you're having a good day. I love Seventh Sanctum. It does help when I'm in a pinch. 😅 Seventh Sanctum helped me create Blood Child, a superhero that has the ability to control blood, telepathically and has a sentient pile of blood following her around.

Okay, first of all, love the blood familiar she's got going on. It's so cool!
Second, it's nice to see someone else who appreciates Seventh Sanctum's prompts. They're really fun to do. And thank you so much for liking some of what I did based on those prompts. I hope you have a good day too!

Reading Blood Child by Octavia Butler has been such a treat. Short stories aren't usually my thing, because they always just leave me wanting more. But this book has such excellent story telling, rife with social commentary, that I really don't mind. So much to wonder and think about afterwards, but what realllly stuck with me was the afterwords left after each story; getting personal tidbits of her life, and what she thought. Of herself, of her writing... I was touched to see how relatable it was:
"I was shy, afraid of most people, most situations. I didn't stop to ask myself if things could hurt me, or even if they could hurt me. I was just afraid."
"Shyness is shit. It isn't cute or feminine or appealing. It's torment, and it's shit. I spent most of my childhood looking at the ground. . . . I believed I was ugly, and stupid, clumsy, and socially hopeless. I also thought that everyone would notice these faults if I drew attention to myself. I wanted to disappear. . . I hid out in a big pink notebook. . . . There I can be anywhere but here, any time but now, with any people but these"
"I have no doubt at all that the best and most interesting parts of me is my fiction"
Like I wanted to tear up just thinking about it. Someone who has my mind raging and coursing like oceans, with just her words, was just like me. I, who struggles forming a sentence, have something so deeply in common with someone that inspires me so much. The feeling of thinking that the only interesting thing about you is… well, fake. To put it simply. Maybe fake is a harsh word. But the only thing I feel like I have left is my stories. I have a lot of stories, or atleast ideas for ones, that I would love tell someday too. This just... heavily inspired me to actually do it. Made me feel like there is a place for me in all this shit. A place for me and my... passion? if you can call it that lol. I'm just....
I really wish I could've gotten the chance to tell her in person how much she means to me. Grateful can't even describe how I feel about all the work shes done. Thank you Octavia

why is religious Christmas imagery all so joyful and pleasant? where is the inherent horror of the birth of Christ? A mother is handed her newborn child, wailing and innocent. Her hands come away sticky. Red. Simply by giving her son life she has already killed him. He is doomed from the beginning. Her love will not save him from suffering. Because the thing cradled in her arms is not a baby, it is a sacrifice: born amongst the other bleating animals whose blood will one day be spilled in the name of what demands it. the night is silent with anticipation. Mary, did you know? That your womb was also a grave?

gold, diamonds & any precious gems that are extracted and commodified in order to lavish [mostly] the rich & affluent -or for those who want them for symbol and status [which can include many people but especially those of wealth, even if acquired over time]... because yes, no matter the context -ya'll are wearing items that are drenched in the blood of young children/people from the Global South.

you motherfuckers have no concept of what "land back" or "decolonize" even mean. you're too busy demonizing entire groups of people, terrified, shitting yourselves, that they'll do even half of the horrors to you that you've done to them for decades or centuries. this shit comes off as hella racist for real. you hate arabs so much. you hate first nations people so much. you hate black people so much. even if you sympathize with them, you can't fucking bear the idea of them gaining freedom, independence, autonomy, safety, because you're so, so scared they'll hurt you back and cause chaos in the streets. these same people who just want to rebuild. who just want to go home. who just want to see their families again. who just want food. who just want medical care. who just want dry, warm shelter. you're so focused on the ideas of colonization, of "us vs. them", of one people displacing the other for a state to exist, that you cannot comprehend coexistence, and your only idea of peace is if an entire group of people were just gone and dead.
grow the fuck up. for the love of GOD, grow the fuck up.

tim is still 17 because he is fae.
thats my new theory. i mean just look at his unsettling inhumanly blue eyes. thats a creature right there my guy. he hasn't aged physically but trust me he is at least 100 years old, that's a fae child right there.
he's been interested in Batman since he first appeared on the scene, he has newspaper clippings from when the Joker made his big entrance, he was there for all of Batman's early mistakes, he was there at the circus when Dick's parents fell.
there is almost a century knowledge behind those odd, reflective eyes. he knows things a 17 year old shouldn't, he has reflexes not even Batman himself has.
he moves wrong. something about him is just off. his team mates have it within good reason to think of him as some sort of Gotham cryptid.
Dick is convinced it's just autism because all the other bats are lmao. (it's a good cover for Tim so he goes along with it.)

anyone else grow up convinced they were a child of athena but realize now they're probably not they just tied too much of their self worth to their grades and being considered the smart kid in school and made that their personality instead of their actual unique traits and interests or is that just me
