If I had a daughter who acted like Claudia Conway? Well, I'd think she's a very smart girl - and I'd take her out for ice cream. Oh, what! Are you asking me how I would feel if I had a daughter who treated me the same way that Claudia Conway treats her mother? Well, I would do some self-analyses - and try to figure out where I might've went wrong as a parent or a person? And, if necessary, I'd seek family counselling for us. I would feel bad if I had done something to hurt my children, however inadvertently. As it is, my children were always willing to talk with me about whatever it was that was upsetting them - as I was mindful to be the type of parent to take them seriously.

I got he bourgeois blues!

My favorite blues performer/songwriter/12-string guitarist is Lead Belly (Huddie Ledbetter 1889-1949). In and out of prison all his life, his song “Goodnight, Irene” hit the top of the charts the year AFTER he died. Why am I thinking of him? One of his best-known songs is “Bourgeois Blues,” about Washington DC. (my favorite song is “Bring Me a Little Water, Sylvie”)
