BORDERLANDS GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION FREE FOR FREE
Nevertheless, holding something I have bought is infinitely better than ge tting something digitally from a server a server which will probably stop working someday in the future. I would have bought the game for £24.99 on the PS Store, which would have been okay. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition - PlayStation 3 Product Replacement Plan See pickup options Set Store In Stock for delivery. Xbox announced today that Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is getting free days of play starting today. Videogame companies really need to try and commission physical copies of these limited release titles in the UK and other places outside of the US. For those that have never played a Borderlands game, now is a perfect time to jump in. To my delight, I managed to buy a brand new and sealed copy of the game for just under £30 (with free delivery too)! The Borderlands games have always been a prime place to enjoy co-op shooting madness, and last year’s Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is that and much more. This enhanced Ultra HD remaster of the original shooter-looter includes all four of the DLC add-ons, so in addition to the main campaign you can play through The Zombie Island of Dr.
BORDERLANDS GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION FREE FOR FREE
Upon seeing that the game was region free I looked on here to see if I could get myself a copy of it, even if it was used. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is now available to play for free for a limited time on both Steam and Xbox One. It came out in the US, mainly as an exclusive at GameStop (the US version of the UK store - GAME). 2K Games has announced that the Borderlands party continues as Borderlands: Game of the Year edition will be available to play on PS4 this weekend at no charge. If i bought borderlands game of the year edition, do i get the enhanced version for free Currently you can get the original borderlands GOTY on Amazon for. Maps of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Maps of the entire playable areaĪ higher resolution version of this map can be found at. Despite appearing in the game itself, this map is also slightly inaccurate like the Borderlands 1 Game of the Year map, as the city of Opportunity is in the center of Lake Shining Horizons, and not in an ocean like Southern Shelf is. The map accompanied with the pre-order box sets of Borderlands 2, which shows every playable area in standard Borderlands 2. There are further inconsistencies, including the replacement of the Salt Flats' inaccessible desertscape with a sea, and highly compressed areas where the game has vast open expanses. Since it's a Game of the Year Edition, you'll be able to try all.

However, the inconsistencies with the in-game maps become apparent with its version of The Salt Flats, which by contrast has drastically rotated the notable landmarks by more than 100° around the central point. From today through July 21, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is free to play if you have a subscription to Xbox Live Gold. When it is compared against the Treacher's Landing and Rust Commons West maps, the Game of the Year map's "up" direction appears to match their north. My Favorite Games of 2023.
Hi. Hello. Thanks ever so much for clicking on this page. Happy to have you.
First thing's first: I'm a little freak when it comes to video games. I don't feel the need to beat most games I play. From Software is one of my favorite studios in the industry and I've never finished a single one of their games. This means, fortunately, that I get to play a LOT more games than the average bear.
I've written up some blurbs about my top ten favorite games from 2023, but before that here's the list of every game I remember playing this year that left any sort of lasting impact on me (in no particular order):
Dead Space Remake Resident Evil 4 Remake F-Zero 99 Humanity Dredge Metroid Prime Remastered Anemoiaplois Alan Wake 2 Baldur’s Gate 3 LoZ Tears of the Kingdom Counter Strike 2 Hunt Showdown El Paso Elsewhere Jusant Slay the Princess| Remnant II The Finals Street FIghter 6 Lethal Company BattleBit Remastered Don’t Scream Homebody The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog Pizza Tower World of Horror Super Mario Wonder Mr. Sun’s Hatbox Fifa 23 Sea of Stars (Demo) Half-Life (25th Anniversary Update)
And the games I played that were NOT released in 2023:
Unpacking Persona 4 Golden Picross 7 The Order 1886 Shovel Knight Dig Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Spider-Man: Miles Morales Pac-Man Championship Edition DX Project Zomboid Quake LoZ The Minish Cap Drill Dozer Wario Land 4 Pokemon Pinball Resident Evil Revelations Summer of ‘58 Trackmania TwinCop We Were Here Visage Cursed Halo CE Half-Life 2 (I probably play this once per year) Witch Hunt Red Dead Redemption 2 Cyberpunk 2077 Borderlands 3 Brutal Legend Cultic Slay the Spire PUBG Rez Infinite Batman Arkham City Alan Wake Alan Wake: American Nightmare Max Payne LoZ: Majora’s Mask 3DS Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2 Tunic Everhood Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy VII Remake GOODBYE WORLD Yakuza: Like a Dragon Critters for Sale Dome Keeper Phasmophobia Hades Nintendo Switch Sports
Now that you understand the kind of freak you're dealing with…
Let's dive into my top ten favorite games from this objectively fucked up year.
10. El Paso Elsewhere Developed by Texas indie studio Strange Scaffold, El Paso Elsewhere is a Max Payne-clone with vampires, an opinionated narrator, and lots and lots of bullet time. As a small studio punching well above their weight class, Strange Scaffold leans into abstract, PlayStation 1 minimalism when it comes to visuals and pairs them with a soundtrack that will make your hands sweat. The vibes are here and they're ready for the end of the world. I'm personally also a big fan of everything this studio stands for.
Tumblr media
9. Mr. Sun's Hatbox I want you to imagine Metal Gear Solid V. Now I want you to imagine that game as a 2D, level-based, slapstick platformer you can play with up to three friends. If you think that sounds stupid, you'd be right. And it's beautiful. As you build up a secret army of soldiers with various skills (and disorders), you'll start to develop *favorites*. This game constantly asks if you're willing to send those favorites on a harrowing mission and risk losing them forever… or if you'd rather send an idiot you recently captured who blinks constantly and can't kill anyone without fainting.
Tumblr media
8. Dredge Every year I feel like I find one game that falls into the “just one more round” category, and baby… Dredge was it for 2023. As a weary fisherman in strange waters, you'll make the most out of your 12 measly hours of sunlight only for your daily voyages to inevitably pull you into the darkness of night, and night is when things get weird. Rocks emerge from the fog that you swear weren't there before, your equipment malfunctions, and you're pretty sure you just saw something in the water… something big. Despite only containing a small collection of islands, the world of Dredge manages to feel vast - perhaps vast enough to swallow you whole.
Tumblr media
7. Resident Evil 4 Remake I was curious to see what sort of changes would be made to the timeless classic and father of modern 3rd person shooters, Resident Evil 4. I wasn't let down. RE4 Remake takes all the things that didn't age well about the original, tossed them out, and replaced them with only good things. And MORE things! It's campy, fun, and better than a game of bingo.
Tumblr media
6. Jusant I really feel like this one didn't get the recognition it deserves. Jusant is a rock climbing game that combines the quiet contemplation of Journey with the mechanical specificity of Death Stranding. Unlike Death Standing, though, there is very little story to interrupt your flow. There are plenty of collectible bits to find for those curious to learn more about what happened before the events of the game, but the environmental storytelling does most of the heavy lifting. For me, the joy of the game comes from how it feels. Right trigger controls your right hand grip, and left trigger controls left hand grip. Plan your route, manage your stamina, and climb high above the clouds in search of answers.
Tumblr media
5. F-Zero 99 This. Shit. Slaps. I've never been a big F-Zero guy, but this MADE me one. The “battle royale”, 99 player format is the perfect fit for the ruthless, high octane world of the game. Races last about three minutes, and friend, they are the most intense, white-knuckled three minutes of your life. The decision to make your boost meter the same as your health meter started in F-Zero 64 (I believe), and it is so much more HARROWING in this game when another player could side-swipe you mere meters from the finish line and blow you to bits. Sadly it's only playable via Switch Online, but it made me cheer, laugh, and scream enough this year to earn a spot in my top 5.
Tumblr media
4. Alan Wake 2 Remedy makes weird games that also manage to exist in the AAA space and for that I will forever love them. Although Alan Wake 2 resembles a 3rd person shooter survival horror, I'd honestly say it's more of a narrative game than anything else. There's sidequests, there's puzzles, there's upgradeable skills, but at the end of the day the characters, world, and story are what kept me playing. If you haven't checked them out recently, you should definitely watch a story recap of the original games before diving into this sequel, but the wild swings for the fences this game takes are well worth that small price of admission. There's a god damn musical number, for Christ's sake.
Tumblr media
3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom I've really got nothing to say about this game that most people don't already know. It's incredible. The fact that Nintendo made a game that redefined an entire genre and then made a SEQUEL to it that ups the ante is remarkable. To be honest, I've only cleared the Rito, Zora, and Goron cities. I got a bit tired of exploring the depths and guiding Koroks to their friends, but I can't deny the sheer level of complexity and polish on display here. I saw someone on TikTok build a functioning Mecha Godzilla in this game. Good God. I've heard that the ending of this game is one of the best in the franchise, and if I'd seen it this year then it may have wound up higher on my list, but for the time being I'll continue picking up this masterpiece from time to time, chipping away at it until the day comes that I can finally smack the tits off thicc Ganondorf.
Tumblr media
2. Half-Life (25th Anniversary Update) I know I'm gonna get shit for this, but I don't care. This year was the 25th anniversary of Half-Life and Valve released an update that made playing it (and it's online Death Match) much more accessible. I threw it on my Steam Deck out of curiosity, expecting to play for 20 minutes. I could not put it down. It is unbelievable how modern this game still feels. I simply had so much fun sprinting through the corridors of Black Mesa with a dozen weapons strapped to my back, blasting aliens and military Spec-Op chumps as a 24(?!) year old theoretical physicist.
Tumblr media
1. Baldur's Gate III This game is fucked up, man. The sheer amount of writing in this game scares me. We can all talk about how BIG this game is, it deserves it, but the thing BG3 does better than any other role playing game I have ever experienced is actually encourage roleplaying. I've played through Act I four times now, with four different groups of friends, and it has felt fresh every time. I have seen the same events play out in so many different ways that it boggles the mind, but in every one of those play sessions I see players asking themselves “What would my lil guy do here?” rather than "what is the best thing to do here?" The game rewards players constantly for just trying shit and the D&D 5e rule set means playing like the character you said you were from the start leads to frequent Points of Inspiration. Maybe one day I'll see the end of this story (probably not), but I don't have to in order to feel a connection with BG3's world, characters, and most impressively, the characters I made myself.
Tumblr media
Honorable Mentions for 2023
5. Dave the Diver 4. Homebody 3. Sea of Stars 2. Humanity 1. Super Mario Wonder
Top 5 Favorites NOT from 2023
5. Metroid Prime 4. Final Fantasy VII Remake 3. Cursed Halo (Halo CE Mod) 2. Red Dead Redemption 2 1. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (3DS)

hello! I've played the fallout ttrpg (the one they had to pull the rights from when it was pretty much done so they called it Exodus instead), I wish it didn't suck so bad! Is there any system I could borrow that would fit with Fallout's setting? I love the world in itself, but Exodus was rushed and published half-baked
THEME: Fallout
Hello friend, I have quite a few games for you to check out today! Some of them are direct homages, while others simply just have elements that might remind you of the video game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rebels of the Outlaw Wastes, by Nerdy Pup Games.
Play misfit outlaws fighting against the authoritarian Powers That Be in a hyper-saturated, film-grained, retro dystopia. Save the future with the power of friendship, whoopass, and explosions! Features sticker-based character advancement, effortless cinematic vehicle action, and player-driven Ride-or-Die system usings d4s, d6s, d8s, d10s, and d12s.
This game is a bit more colourful and punk-rock, and a little less morally grey than some of the more popular Fallout games. The designer cites some pretty colourful inspirations, such as FLCL and Six-String Samurai, but also concedes that you can make the tone fit that of Borderlands, Fallout, and Mad Max. It depends on how you build your world - what tech was there before? What kinds of weirdness persists? What beliefs have survived?
You’ll make skill rolls that can be boosted by gear or your personal style, with anything above a 4 granting you a success, with bonuses for rolling even higher at an 8 or a 12. Badges are the representations of character growth, tied to the skills that you choose to improve, somewhat like how concentrating on certain skills in Fallout gives you access to perks. If you want a stripped-down basic idea of the rules for this game, the designer has a Pay-what-you-want playtest that you can download for free, just to dip your toes in the water.
Earth: After Death, by Hammer City Games.
Boasting deep and crunchy mechanics reminiscent of the golden age of 90s TTRPGs, Earth, After Death focuses on OSR-style gaming, dungeon and hex crawling, fast-paced combat, high lethality, and a unique and fascinating setting to explore.
There’s plenty to do: kill mutants, explore ancient ruins, get lethal radiation poisoning, find a gun that has infinite ammunition, use psionic powers to blow up peoples heads, replace your legs with tank treads, and more!
This is a chunky, old-school style game that takes care to mention that your level-up system is just like the advancement system in Fallout games. You’ll be dealing with mutations, ghost machines, bartering for gear, and hex-crawling through dangerous wastelands. The character sheets point to a lot of moving pieces, so if you like wrangling together a character that does exactly what you want them to do, you’re going to have a lot to play with here. It looks like mutation is also a pretty big deal in this game, with over 100 different kinds advertised on the game’s store page.
Right now just the Wasteland’s Handbook is available to purchase, but the kickstarter for this game will be taking off later this year. If this sounds like your kind of game, then maybe hop over to the website to get in on the first full edition as it releases!
Fallout: The Roleplaying Game, by Modiphius.
In 2077, the storm of nuclear war reduced most of the planet to cinders. From the ashes of nuclear devastation, a new civilization will struggle to arise. A civilization you will shape. How will you re-shape the world? Will you join with a plucky band of survivors to fight off all-comers and carve out your own settlement? Will you team up with pre-existing factions like the Brotherhood of Steel or Super Mutants to enforce your own ideals on the Wasteland? Ghoul or robot, paladin or raider, it’s your choice - and the consequences are yours. Welcome to the Wasteland. Welcome to the world of Fallout.
Utilizing Modiphius’ celebrated 2d20 cinematic role-playing system, the Fallout RPG will take players on an exciting journey into the post-apocalypse! Create your own survivors, super mutants, ghouls, and even Mister Handy robots. Immerse yourselves in the iconic post-nuclear apocalyptic world of Fallout, while gamemasters guide their group through unique stories and encounters. The 2d20 edition of Fallout is as close to the bottlecap bartering, wasteland wandering, Brotherhood battling excitement as you can get.
Modiphius gets the license to make a lot of games for different properties, so a Fallout game fits in alongside other big titles like Dune, John Carter of Mars, and Alien. This company uses their own 2d20 system, with a focus on inventory and Perks in an effort to make the game recognizable to any typical Fallout fan.
That being said, the game has come under fire for being poorly edited and inconsistent when it comes to finding the right rule. The company updated the game last year and released a Settler’s Guide book, so this might be something that’s a bit more read-able now. But if you want something set directly in the Fallout universe, this is your game.
WASTELAND, by MaelikGames.
WASTELAND is a simple tabletop RPG about adventurers in the world that has only recently became hospitable after a War that might not end all wars, but almost ended the world. You and your friends decide whether this world is bleak and hopeless, like the one in Metro, or somewhat whimsical, as in Fallout.
Much of the inspiration from Fallout appears in the character options of this game. Arkanites are homages to Vault-Dwellers, Radkin are inspired by Ghouls, and robots are, well, robots. The talents also look like they are directly inspired by Fallout perks, such as Animal Friend, which allows you to turn hostile animals into allies. Gear and inventory are both very important in this game, which is something that I never find surprising in post-apocalyptic games, since having to track inventory feels like a pretty important thing in a game about scarcity. Your skills are also based on a percentage of success, because you’re rolling a d100, with the goal of rolling under your target number. If you’re looking for a game that can mechanically reflect much of what’s available in the Fallout video games, this might be for you!
Dystopia Rising: Evolution, by Onyx Path.
No one knows how long it’s been since the world was blasted with nuclear radiation and became infested with the undead. The survivors of the Fall were the first strain of deviation of the human condition and were able to make it through the rapidly spreading epidemic. Finding a community of decent size in this world is rare; finding one that has any concept of equality or morality is rarer still.
Oh, and people have the unnerving ability to come back from the dead, regrown from the very virus that destroyed the world.
This is a completely different world from Fallout and yet I think it might still be worth talking about in this rec post. Dystopia Rising has a rich, detailed world, with various factions and faiths, and your characters are differentiated by the Strains that have helped them survive. There are plenty of conflicting beliefs that can be the seeds for unlimited conflict, including various faiths in things like evolution or the preservation of humanity, strains that give you psychic powers, and a universal ability to come back to the dead so many times before you’re turned into a mindless zombie.
There’s plenty of opportunity to fight things hand-to-hand, but there’s just as many possibilities to politic your way out of tough scenarios, which is a hallmark of Fallout New Vegas. Not only that, there's no clear "good guys": this is a complicated world with complicated people. If you want a game that carries a lot of similar themes of Fallout but puts you in a new setting, maybe check out this game.
Games I’ve Recommended in the Past

The 10 Most Anticipated TTRPGs For 2024!
EN World's annual vote on the most anticipated titles of the coming year, and yes, some games have appeared on this list in previous years.
Tumblr media
10 Tales of the Valiant (Kobold Press)
1st appearance Kobold Press joins the 'alternate 5E' club with this rewritten, non-OGL version of the game! A million dollar Kickstarter last year, and a new one for the GM's book going on right now, Kobold Press announced this as 'Project Black Flag' during the OGL crisis of 2023, but being unable to trademark that name opted for Tales of the Valiant instead. The system, however, is still called the Black Flag Roleplaying System.
Tumblr media
9. Mothership 1E (Tuesday Night Games)
3rd appearance On this list three years running, the boxed Mothership 1E game should be coming out this year! This is sci-fi horror at its best -- you can play scientists, teamsters, androids, and marines using the d100 'Panic Engine'. Yep, it's Alien(s), pretty much.
Tumblr media
8. Monty Python's Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Program (Exalted Funeral)
2nd Appearance Exalted Funeral made quite a splash when they announced this game last year, which went on to make neary $2M on Kickstarter. And how could they not? It's Monty Python fergoodnessake! A rules-lite gaming system, spam, a minigame with catapults, spam, coconut dice rollers, spam, and an irrepressible Python-eque sense of humour. Did I mention the spam? It was at #10 on this list last year, but it's claimed to #8 this year.
Tumblr media
7. Daggerheart (Darrington Press)
1st appearance From the Critical Role folks, Daggerheart is a new fantasy TTRPG with its own original system coming out this year with "A fresh take on fantasy RPGs, designed for long-term campaign play and rich character progression."
Tumblr media
6. Cohors Cthulhu (Modiphius)
1st appearance It's Ancient Rome. It's Cthulhu. It uses Modiphius' in-house 2d20 System. You can be a gladiator, a centurion, or a Germanic hero. Did I mention Cthulhu?
Tumblr media
5. Dolmenwood (Necrotic Gnome)
1st appearance The British Isles, a ton of folklore, and a giant Kickstarter--Dolmenwood is a dark, whimsical fantasy TTRPG drawing from fairy tales and lets you "journey through tangled woods and mossy bowers, forage for magical mushrooms and herbs, discover rune-carved standing stones and hidden fairy roads, venture into fungal grottoes and forsaken ruins, battle oozing monstrosities, haggle with goblin merchants, and drink tea with fairies."
Tumblr media
4. Pendragon 6E (Chaosium)
4th appearance Last year's winner was on this list waaaaay back in 425 AD, and it's still here! Well, maybe not that far back, but it's shown up in 2021 at #4, 2022 at #3, 2023 at #1, and now 2024 at #4! What can we say? People are clearly anticipating it... still.
Tumblr media
3. 13th Age 2nd Edition (Pelgrane Press)
2nd appearance 13th Age is over a decade old now, and was our most anticipated game way back in 2013. Now the new edition is coming! It's compatible with the original, but revised and with a ton more... stuff! 13th Age 2E was #3 in last year's list!
Tumblr media
2. The Electric State Roleplaying Game (Free League)
1st appearance Free League is always on these lists, and for good reason. This gorgeous looking game is described as "A road trip on the verge of reality in visual artist and author Simon Stålenhag's vision of an apocalyptic alternate 1990s".
Tumblr media
1. Shadow of the Weird Wizard (Schwalb Entertainment)
3rd appearance First announced by Rob Schwalb a couple of years ago, this is a more family-friendly version of his acclaimed RPG, Shadow of the Demon Lord. SHADOW OF THE WEIRD WIZARD is a fantasy roleplaying game in which you and your friends assume the roles of characters who explore the borderlands and make them safe for the refugees escaping the doom that has befallen the old country. Unsafe are these lands: the Weird Wizard released monsters to roam the countryside, cruel faeries haunt the shadows, undead drag themselves free from their tombs, and old, ancient evils stir once more. If the displaced people would rebuild their lives, they need heroes to protect them. Finally at the top of the list after being #7 in 2022, and #6 in 2023!

💙Tatta Edition (AIB)💙
Tumblr media
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
In a scale of 1 to 10, Tatta its +1000 affectionate towards you. His love languague are hugs, nose kisses and encouraging words. If he ever sees you being sad about something be will try his best to cheer you up by making your favorite food (he may fail so takeover its his second option).
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Tatta its care free and chill, being friends with him is easy. Your friendship can start by: saving him during a game, being assigned as partners in a game, him seeing you struggle to adapt at the Beach so he will aproach you. In fact, he may be the one starting the friendship.
As a friend he is loyal till the end. He may put your live above his and does not care about it. If there is a situation where is  him or you, he will choose you to live. (he is your best partner for the prision game tbh).
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
He loves it!! After a long day dealing with the games he loves nothing more than being in your arms. He ends sleeping by hugging you. Likes being the small spon but will be the big one as well if you prefer.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?).
I see Tatta as someone who might like live with his partner after some time of dating. With how much he works you would have to coock and clean but dont worry, by having a small talk with him you two will be able to divide the chores just right.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
ANGST: In borderland he will sacrifice himself for his S/O, or break with then because he feels like he is putting his S/O in danger by being with them (he knows he may not be the smartest and gets easily scared so he will think its the best course of action so you have better chances of surviving).
In REAL WORLD: his insecurities may get the best of him so he will break up with you, feeling like he is not worth your love.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
I see Tatta as someone who will think of it fairly quickly but wont act on it till at least 1 year of dating (and this if its a good year, give him 2 if he feels insecure). But overall he does like the idea of settling down with you as his Wife/Husband/Other.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
VERY GENTLE.
This man knows how harsh people can be so he tries to be as soft and gentle with you as he can be.
Physically he is very carefull when pulling you for a kiss or during your intimate moments. He likes to hug you or have his arms around you but will be sure you are ok with it first.
Emotionally he can tell if something is bothering you (and in 8/10 times he knows what is the reason). So he will try and talk to you about it. He does not have a problem listening to your rants, and its ok with him if you just need space for yourself, just be sure to give him a hug later.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
HE LOVES IT (i mentioned a lot)
How often? As much as you let him. This man wont let you go into a game without a big hug, one where he puts all his feelings. If you are not comfortable with hugs in public then he will hug you when both of you are alone. And if you dont like hugs at all then he will respect it and wont try to hug you.
His hugs are full of love, he likes to put his head on top of yours or in top of your shoulder so he can tell you the most sweet things.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
He thinks it first but takes a while to tell you since his insecurities may get the best of him. But he will look at you and everybody will know he loves you.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Tatta trusts you, thats a fact and believes you wont try to cheat on him. However, if he sees someone being too close or flirty towards you he will go and: kiss you right there, hug you from behind and keeping eye contact with the person, or get there and annoyn them.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
His kisses are slow and sweet. He likes to take his time with you when kissing you. He likes to kiss your lips and cheecks, he likes to lean on your and stay still then leave with a smile. He likes to be kissed on the lips as well and on his hands, because of his past he looks at his hands and feels bad but you show him how beautiful they are by kissing them and he ends loving it (kiss his hands when he is sad).
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Not closed to the idea of having kids with you. He is alright around kids.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Lazy. No matter what day it is Tatta its not a morning person. He likes to stay in bed with you for as long as he can. You will have to make him move and start the day.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Cute, soft and reassuring. Tatta will hug you while sleeping, take your hand and tell you silly things to take your mind off from the day activities (borderland or real world). He likes to tell you jokes and talk about cars, even if you dont get what he is saying.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
He will go slow but steady about himself, at first he will try to nake himself look better by telling you how he went to a prestigious school or how good his works pays but then he will feel like you deserve to know his true past. Will tell you parts of his childhood, how later he decided to left school and ended in a job with a bad salary but he worked with cars so he liked it. He will tell you about the accident at work eventually.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Run for your life if you made this man angry to the point of taking action.
Tatta is a patient man, half because thats his nature and half because he does not have the self steam to stand for himself. But if you push him enought he will explote.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Look, he loves you but he may forget some special dates or details. What stays on his mind is the date you two meet, when both of you started dating, and thats it. As details he remembers your favorite food, snack and tv show.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
The day you two met. It does not matter what the circunstances were, all he remembers is seeing you and having lost his breathing and mind going off.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Very protective. He does not like being apart from you. He tries to protect you by teaming you with people he knows he can trust (Arisu is his first choice), or by keeping an eye on you during games.
He wont voice it, but he loves when you defend him against anyone who trash talks about him. The type of protection that comes with words.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
A LOT.
Tatta wants you to be happy about being with him, so he will try his best. Dates? Tries to take you to the best places with his little money. Anniversaries? Will decorate your/his place, make dinner and watch a move together (he loves fast and forious).
Slow at tasks but lots of effort.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Can daydream a lot and not see the reality of the situation.
Too harsh on himself to the point that hurts others.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Depends. When he is alone with you he does not care but the moment he sees other good looking people he will feel bad and negative thoughts will come.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
YES.
You are his soulmate, he loves you and would give you the word if that makes you happy.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Tatta would get you a car toy because he loves cars.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
If you are a bully/violent/toxic/putting down other people, then Tatta wont even think on starting a relationship with you.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?
He has no problem on setting for a centrain hour to sleep, the problem its waiking him up.

favourite things: 2023 edition
last year i made one of these and i thought it'd be fun to make another one. i have a notion spreadsheet with all the media i watch/read/play throughout the year (not just things that came out this year!) and i give them ratings. these are the highs (and some of the lows) of 2023 (not in order).
Games
Tunic - such a great and beautiful game that i do not want to spoil. seriously, play it. if you like zelda, exploration, solving puzzles, and cute little foxes, then it's a must
Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - what can i say, i love a zelda
Portal 2 - just an even more excellent sequel to an excellent game
TV
Alice in Borderland - i didn't know what to expect at first but it was excellent and highly addictive
Not Me - my introduction to thai BL (for better and also definitely for worse lol). anyway this show changed my brain chemistry. it has everything: gays, a twin switch situation, leftism, arson, rooftop kiss... you know
Bad Buddy - speaking of rooftop kisses...... if you know you know. anyway this is also a thai BL and it's still rotating in my brain. i rewatched it almost immediately, that's how good it was
The King's Affection - cheesy historical kdrama about a crown prince who is secretly a woman, with a swoon-worthy romance and political intrigue. this one's for the bisexuals (after all, the male love interest falls in love with the prince before he finds out it's a woman)
Vinland Saga - this anime fucking wrecked me. season 2 had me crying every single episode. thorfinn is my new child and i WILL name my future cat after him
The Devil Judge - a kdrama about a dystopian south korea with a fucked up justice system. anyway kang yohan character of all time. oh and also toxic homosexuality (affectionate)
Books
The Poppy War trilogy by R. F. Kuang - what an excellent series to get me back into fantasy series. it was not without faults, but i was hooked anyway
Babel by R. F. Kuang - i read this brick in 5 days straight. it's beautifully written and has such interesting things to say about language and colonialism. again, it has flaws but i wasn't bothered, i was obsessed with this book
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon - i didn't realise how much i missed high fantasy until i read this. it has lesbians, dragons, a bitter old homosexual, magic, and did i mention dragons and lesbians?
He Who Drowned the World by Shelley Parker Chan - the sequel to She Who Became the Sun, my favourite book of last year. this sequel fucking DELIVERED. i went insane about it multiple times. it's a must read
Graphic novels/manga
Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama - i started this manga 2 years ago, but since it's still ongoing and I've read new chapters this year, it counts for this year as well
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run by Hirohiko Araki - not finished with it yet but it is truly as good as everyone says it is
The Adventure Zone: The Eleventh Hour by the McElroys and Carey Pietsch - i know not everyone likes the taz comics, but i do, i think theyre great adaptations, and this one looked incredible
Movies
Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse - not as good as the first one, but still really good. beautifully animated and extremely entertaining
Bonus: the lowest of the low, titles that earned my 'sucked shit' rating
Theory of Love - amazing that out of the 3 thai BLs ive watched, 2 managed to make it on my favourites list, and one of them was some of the worst television i've ever seen
Where the Crawdads Sing - read the book for book club last year, we all hated it, and now we decided to watch the movie for a laugh. it also sucked

s. Masterlist
When brought in to the beach the last thing expected was such fanfare….
warnings: I took a year and a half to write this i’m p sure so expect there to be some less than great writing. I also think i’m going to change POV’s after this chapter so for warning… anyway theres literally no game in this chapter it’s just… niragi, honestly… 😭 he’s kind of a warning of his own… I also did all of this on mobile so the chance that I need to edit this later is pretty high.
Tumblr media
No. No they did not. In fact there was a good handful of people but as quick as the people were passing by you, they were gone as you were led away from the crowd through hallways that lead to what you could only assume was a meeting room.
At the head of the room stood a man dressed in the flashiest of garments and a pair of sunglasses to cover what you would assume to be a hangover with how he reeked of alcohol. You couldn’t help but look back to the short man who had led you into the room as though you were in disbelief. It was so strange for the world they lived in.
To your left were two women and by observation they were both as concerning as the former, granted; they were a stark contrast between joy and nonchalance. To your right stood a man who seemed to be wearing what you would consider one of the more convenient outfits - a button up and shorts. The two familiar men who lead you here would soon join on your right.
“Welcome!” your eyes shot to the man in the front who’s arms opened up, waving for you as though a child too scared to sit on santa’s lap, “don't be shy.” You took tentative steps towards the center of the room as it felt like everyones eyes were on you (and they were by the way,) “welcome, to the beach, the utopia.” he said with a scripted enthusiasm, as though he said this a million times before.
Just as he finished the wall in the middle slid away revealing a wall of cards, several of them crossed out, “You don’t seem to be unintelligent so I’ll put this plainly, at the beach everyone is united as one to collect all 52 playing cards.”
“what?”
“and in return you get to have fun. total freedom.” besides the fact you’re literally in hell, he forgot to add. your eyes looked around between everyone else and it seems they all held such a boredom, ready to move on as though they were used to the shtick.
your eyes caught onto the likes of chishiya’s, he stood swaying back and forth and his expression shifted to a scrutinizing smirk, provoking you to continue prodding, knowing that any answer the man gave would be as enthusiastically fake as before.
“I would assume this has no real benefit for me though, does it?” in the corner of your eyes you saw the shorter woman’s face light up, her eyes matching that of a Beagle’s.
“I firmly believe that freedom alone is a benefit” His response was clear and his eyebrows rose, confirming the competitive tone he held. “I fear, though, that only one person may leave the borderlands once all the cards are collected; although, we have a rank structure here that decides who gets to leave. I am number one. There is nothing to worry about though, as far as we know games get replayed so eventually everyone can leave.” He spoke like he knew everything was for sure; you couldn’t help but think he was kind of a phony.
You stood still once more. You almost had no idea what cards he was talking about that there were to give. You felt as though if you asked this would turn out to be longer than it needed to be and with all these eyes on you, you were desperate to escape.
“And what if I can't?” and the shorter woman grinned once more at your words.
“Oh. yes, right,” The man folded his arms, taking a step back towards you, “that would be handled accordingly.” you were pretty sure you knew what that meant but every part of you hoped it was just you being radical. Deciding not to question it, you nodded and the man in front of you let out a breath. “welcome. oh, and by the way, there is a dress code.”
what? You could hardly question it before you had been given a wristband that had a piece of plastic labeled ‘35’.
You stood in the mirror of your room and brushed off the invisible dirt that covered all the open parts of your being. it was every bit uncomfortable but the thin, sheer shawl like cover up you had been given was slightly redeeming. you had decided that it wouldn’t be worth it to hide in your room until your visa ended but to take advantage of the outlet of power, fresh foods and probably awkward social interaction.
you carried yourself down to the pool, where along the sides stood small groups of people lounging and partying. A breath hitched in your throat at the mere sight of all the people surrounding you and you almost walked back out before a slightly familiar voice called you over.
“you! you!” The voice shouted, “(y/n)!!” your eyes shifted over and caught the sight of the tall woman waving her hand back and forth as the short, quiet man stood next to her.
you moved with them and gave a short hello. you crossed your arms over yourself and fidgeted with the skin on your elbows. “Not to sound stupid but what exactly are the cards? Is it in reference to the games or did I miss something?”
Their expressions were so starkly different. One was willing to explain and the other looked at you with furrowed eyebrows, but it wasn’t the willing one who spoke up, it was the latter. “Each game is based off of a suit and number, the game in the end produces a physical card. Think of it like a souvenir.” you nodded slowly and before you could question further, he began again, “each suit has a meaning. Diamonds are logical, Clubs are combined or group, spades are physical, and hearts are psychological. Obviously, Hatter, believes collecting these cards will get him out of here.”
“And what do you think about that?” you furthered.
“I think it’s a strange approach.” Chishiya paused, plastering a small smirk that twitched at the edge of his lips onto his face, “I don’t think I buy it totally, one card can’t compensate for the amount of people who played the game.”
“Fair,” you responded. “Have people ever just tried to steal the cards? you’d think they would’ve with that logic” you got a hum in response.
“Hatter offers these people booze and freedom I don't think many of us would have it out for him because of that,” Kuina interjected, “and anyone who would would have the smarts to oppose him is already in power - anything to placate them,” to which she was correct, everyone around you seemed so drunk and happy but everyone who stood in that room earlier was so quiet and analytical - something you had assumed wouldn’t benefit you later if you got into deep shit. If.
“It would be entertaining if just one person really tried to steal the cards nonetheless. an impressive feat,” Chishiya admitted.
“Not exactly someone you’d think would be happy about that,” You pried.
“Never said I would be happy or it would benefit me, Just it would possibly mildly entertain me.” He corrected, his arms slipping over and under each other hugging against his small frame.
“I suppose.” You finished and before you could change the topic of conversation it seemed someone was eager to do it for you.
an arm laid around your shoulders a familiar laugh fell upon your ears. You cringed at the sound and you moved inwardly on yourself. “Seems like you're acquainting yourself quite nicely, there are better people you could be hanging out with though.” He stretched his words as though holding back a drunken slur as he gestured to himself. You on the other hand twisted in wry.
“That’s definitely an idea.” You hardly got out uncomfortably as you attempted to push his arm off from around your shoulders. The man wasn’t going to say no or see through the deadpan purposely and Chishiya and Kuina knew this very well. Chishiya seemed to be holding back what you would’ve taken as maniacal laughter and Kuina seemed to cringe just as much as you were, you could appreciate the sympathy as he attempted to drag you away. “Hold on, Hold on. I don't even know you. And you’re drunk!” To him your words were just distant kvetching.
“I’m Niragi. Now you know me.” You hardly followed as his long arm dragged at you, “And I’m hardly even intoxicated.” He was practically falling over as he spoke and you finally pried his hand from off of your arm. He stumbled and looked back at you with offense.
“Your inability to stand up right speaks otherwise.” Now it was you grabbing at his arm, walking him over to a chair by the bar. “How much have you drank? geez.” he looked at you with confused eyes, seemingly adamant on his attempts to convince you of his lack of intoxication and need for you to hang out with him. You didn’t buy it.
“Niragi.” the familiar monotonous voice rang behind you with a sense of command. “The least you could do is give her a day before you hassle her around.” To which Niragi responded with a huff, claiming that he would never do such a thing. “Besides, I was just trying to get to know her.” You could only look at him, Chishiya’s eyes were trying to stay calm but from what you could understand this was him trying to placate the model for inebriation that sat next to you. Your eyes widened - so he wasn’t so one dimensional after all.
Niragi huffed once more, becoming a repeated gesture that you seemed to notice, and backed down. “Just know,” he dragged your attention towards him, “I’ll be here if you need me.”
You gave a twisted expression as the tall man drifted away. You felt inclined to care for him but at the same time his demeanor left you speechless, truly stunned. Chishiya seemed pleased at the disappearance of Niragi, practically trying his dear hardest not to laugh at his drunken state.
you didn’t know what to do at that. You felt a welcome energy from Kuina and her expression seemed to invite you back to her and Chishiya, but Chishiya’s energy seemed otherwise at all times - you took note of this and wondered if it was truly genuine or if he was just that good at acting like he didn’t care, or maybe he didn’t know how to act otherwise.
You guessed you could understand and even just in a few days you grew to know Kuina, chishiya by extension, the borderlands, and the beach more. They didn’t seem to be close friends by any means, that much you could tell, but there was a mutual understanding there that gave away some sort of silent allyship and understanding that people who stuck out needed to stay together and that now included you. Kuina was a rather open book, not afraid to express herself or her thoughts and that was something you could admire, but Chishiya was something you had to think through yourself. Chishiya was half of an open book, he would quite often air his thoughts on what other people did but could never find it in him to express himself fully. It didn’t seem like he was afraid of emotion, or terribly confused by it, but just that he didn’t know how to plaster his thoughts into his face and when he did it felt almost forced, an attempt to appease the people around him.
“So how do games work around here?” You asked as you approached the lobby of the beach. People in the lobby mingled as they always did, obvious cliques amongst everyone; you, Chishiya, and Kuina remained by an adjacent bar with equally judgy gazes towards the rest of the people.
“You’ll see,” Chishiya mused, a grin on his face as he cozied into his spot against the bar.
“You don’t even want to know,” Kuina groaned. It was In all cinematic affect, the patrons of the beach began to cheer for what looked like their mighty overlords. The beach only had so many people yet the obvious fanfare was eary. Within the past few days you had learned a few things:
Don’t drink whatever you’re offered.
Stay away from the pool at night.
Don’t even try to get cozy in your rooms.
Do not pick a side.
Rule number 4 was something most people in the beach violated very early in their stay. The beach was teetering on the brink of civil war at all times and the warm hospitalities of both sides was very appealing to most… or at least anyone without a brain. The people who ran the beach seemed to be split between those with an actual knack for garnering support, and those who just waved around guns and talked a little too loud for your tastes. It was a very familiar concept, sadly.
“Thank you! Thank you!” Hatter, who stood high above everyone, cheered. It was definitely a sight to see. Hatter pretended that he didn’t but he seemed to equate himself to godliness. If godliness was equated to cleanliness, as so the wise words of the smashing pumpkins declared, then this place was nowhere in sight of that. Despite the grime and the mess of the place, people still managed to worship the figurehead who held the sanity of the beach within his two hands. They cheered, cried, and pranced around in his presence. “Tonight we play!” he announced and everyone began to cheer, moving around in what seemed like practiced movements as they began to gather towards lists of names.
Shuntaro Chishiya
Mira Kano
Futaba Hayashi
Y/n L/n
It wasn’t that you had expected to not play a game, in fact your visa was running short, but not having a choice who you were placed with was unsettling. Everyone seemed fine with who they were placed with, there seemed to be a firm sense of comradery amongst other players; you, on the other hand, were already very skeptical of many of the members of the beach which didn’t make any partnership easy.
The car door clicked shut and you sat cramped next to Mira as Chishiya was forced into being the designated driver, something he wasn’t pleased with. Mira looked you up and down while you faced ahead, an obvious discomfort permeating through the car. The only one to speak up was her. “I hope it’s hearts!”
I really hope it’s not…
