Leverage + JATP crossover AU?? Like. Imagine Eliot and Sophie specifically having to deal with Caleb Covington

-I am so tickled by this idea. Like, they didn't even die, they're still alive. Like, you know that if ghosts were real, at least Sophie and Eliot would know. Parker too, but she's just like: um what's the big deal? They're just people who died. They're still awkward to talk to. (She is pissed about the whole, they can walk through walls and don't set off alarms thing, but then she realises they can't actually steal stuff so it's fine.)

-Parker has 100% heard someone skateboarding through an empty museum while she was stealing a painting, and just been like: that's none of my business.

-Nate never knew about the ghosts because everyone who did agreed it would send him off the deep end trying to get his son back.

-Somehow, Sophie got into the club (as a guest while grifting) and somehow managed to avoid the whole 'Caleb steals your soul' thing and he's still mad about it.

-You know she 100% enjoyed the show, though. She was sad she had to slip out to finish her whole grift before midnight.

-Eliot knows about Area 51/52, he knows about the Ghosts, okay. Moreau 100% had dealings with Caleb. Eliot totally had a stare off with Caleb's Chair Twink. No he will not have anything to drink, he's bodyguarding and also his Granny taught him better than to accept food or drink from what may or may not be one of the Fair Folk.

-Hardison is NOT OKAY when he learns about the ghosts. He is even less okay when he realises the others all KNEW.

-Breanna is just super stoked that the Phantoms in Julie and the Phantoms are real ghosts.

-Things hit the fan when they realise Caleb Covington owns the soul of Willie. Either Sophie or Eliot recognises him in an old photo album Nana was showing the team (much to Hardison's embarrassment because she was showing them his old tween pictures).

-Because Willie was one of Nana's foster kids. He was only with her for a few months before he got hit by that car, but he was One of Theirs and the fact that his soul is trapped is Not Okay.

-Let's go steal back a Willie.

Leverage Redemption Log: The Jackal Job

Name unlikely to refer to an actual jackal, an animal that is one of the most common aliases for fictional phantom-thief types (probably slightly after "cat" and before "fox" but i dont have any hard data) --- Episode starts, nice old lady is wondering why a man, presumably her son, or one of those court-apointed guardians is stealing her stuff. Fuck its going to be about Elderly Abuse.

As of right now, its not entirely clear as to wether he is an asshole who is exploiting a dementing relative, legitimately trying to take care of her but struggling financially because fuck the economy is just never gonna recover from the multiple financial collapses we've suffered or outright gasslighting her into believing she is suffering dementia. 2/3 options would make him evil and this is leverage so im not holding out hope for him being misunderstood. so like, probably evil with maybe a 2.5% chance of a "he's trying his best and just really shit at showing it". But yeah, this is leverage. He's a baddie, question is just if he's exploiting his mom, or feigning a relation so he can go to the judge and say "she's so far gone, she doesnt recognise her son (who i definitlly am)" --- Episode starts: Breanna is forced to do community service cause she was caught stealing something. (this is our "juror number 6" plot for Breanna.) Take your time, slow down, pay attention to details. Well nice to see Sophie give the crux of this episode away in her first 3 lines of the episode. and she just picked Breanna's pocket. She's an old thief. (wonder if she and Archie ever hung out...) Sophie spots the ring, then the Astonomers by Vermeer and realises instantly that she knows this woman. (also, does the son know that is the genuine Vermeer he's gonna sell, or does he think its one of those gift-store Mona Lisa's? Cause if he doesn't, he's in for the worst deal of a century) --- Alzheimer's... Well guess im going to be feeling a lot less witty writing this log then most. Thats not something i'd like to joke about too much. Ok, Hinkley is not his son, he's a professional guardian. --- just a side-note that we'd better end this episode with at least an alusion to Breanna having hacked whatever servers are tracking her community service, cause she's kind of about to build up a truancy on that stuff. Like i know that "caring for an elderly or disabled person" is the type of stuff that could be court appointed community service, but this was not the task she was court appointed

Sophie is pulling the "im your replacement" card. Jackal picks up quickly. --- Ok the team is all here now, You're being stupid. She's here because she fell in love with the mark, (who is probably but not guaranteed to be her power of attorney). Her last con was a failure or at least not a known success. Looking for the one thing that she stole that was never returned isnt gonna solve anything because she isnt known to have stolen it. --- Ok the little Edie con is working? Basically a violin-sale but Parker is the Violin. Breanna has experience with elderly Alzheimers patients (grandma) We're doing Leverage Crew-ified Flashbacks again... (this is gonna hurt on an emotional level)

Oh i can see where the twist is gonna happen: Josephine was the mark (bars real owner=safe's real owner=safe combination knower)... And Jo, former bar-owner, fled the country alongside her to escape her gangster ex and started a coffee shop in this town. Oops, Breanna just all-but confirmed the first half of my suspicions (which this early in the episode, means im wrong) --- Harry has a little conductors hat amongst his stuff... Oh look at that, he just said the judge gets first pick of his stolen goods... the judge has the gun (and a heck of a scandal it'd be if a judge was found in posession of stolen goods... and a stolen gun belonging to a founding father at that...) Lovely work on the tiny mirror-box (that she definitly hadnt arranged to be there in advance), Elbow bruises. (chances she didnt "donate" the gun cause it was used in the murder of a london gangster named Earl increasing rapidly) --- The painting, find the painting. "prefect never lasts forever"

and all was fine until the papertrail caught up to them. (the daughter... She might be our way out) --- get the judge (noted antiques lover) to overhear that the Turlington Pistol was amongst her posessions, divide and conquer. the money was in the car. (i was a bit suspicious when Jo said "its got a couple hundred worth of tips" when they were running away. But i justified it as her being too good a citisen to steal from Earl) --- Tip for showrunners: If you want to start a comercial block on a cliffhanger, dont have it be an attempted murder of our still-alive narrator. It sort of undermines the tense suspension.

so she shot earl (unsuprising.) Back in the modern day we're headed for a warehouse and Jackal is lifts the gun so we can frame Sophie for stealing the gun so they can steal a fake back from Sophie.

Ok not so much a fake (they didnt have time to prep one) as just placing a made in china sticker on the real and genuine article. (amazingly simple act of brilliance)

Parker's reputation is worth its weight in gold. (a personal favour from someone who started this season by stealing 8 Rembrandts in a single night in multiple museums across the entire United States, is worth a lot compared to a contract with a small-time purveyor of stolen goods. Whodathunk?)

Oh they did pull an entire switch with the gun. (honestly, after the little Made In China sticker reveal, the fact they pulled a genuine switch with a store-bought replica instead of a simple sticker-sleight-of-hand is suddenly quite disapointing, especially as we know the fence was on their side anyways.)

Im going to be honest and say that the Jo acress doesnt have the most convincing elderly wig. (also they kept the plushie) ---

BACKSTORY: 

        Brenn Dru-Zod was born to Dru-Zod and Faora-Ul via artificial means, and although she was wanted, Brenn was more of a strategic move than a baby. Her upbringing had been sterile. Tests and equipment and not including much affection or kindness. Her parents gave her everything that she could possibly need, but none of the things she wanted. It was a hard way to be raised, but on Krypton she was viewed with bright eyes and followed by expectant whispers. Where her brother Lor-Zod had been a disappointment, she would be more.

      What she planned for herself was not included in her future life plan. She was a prodigy among the Warrior Guild. She fought more fearsomely than any other— because when she went home, if she failed, then her life would be made impossible. Her body brutally tortured and trained until she conquered whatever weakness. She had stopped crying when she was thirteen.

          When Zod attempted his coup and was sentenced to life in the Phantom Zone, Brenn was by his side. It was only then that her belief wavered and she longed for times when she had fantasized about the Thinker’s Guild and using her abilities to become an Engineer. While on Fort Rozz, she defeated her mother and won her own freedom. Defending her right to do with the ship as she wanted, she spent years tinkering. Long years after the fall of Krypton, and finally, thanks to her, the prison ship was dislodged and sent into the orbit of Earth.

              She knew of the planet from the last correspondences she had with Klair-el, but the planet was better than she had expected. When her father and mother intended to conquer and terraform the planet, Brenn finally fought against the people who had raised her for the people she decided to defend. Thanks to her, the earth had the technology to defeat Zod. Despite her bloody history, she hopes to redeem herself on this planet. She wears the Zod crest, and goes by the name Ultrawoman, using her training and engineering expertise in hopes to make the Earth defensible against any alien threat that might present itself in the future.

(PnF) Headcanon #15 TnMtober Pt.1,3,4,5 and 6

For those who aren't aware, this month is the official Marie and Thomas month, with a event calendar and everything(you can find the calendar here https://twitter.com/MartitaSketches/status/1445413673585942532/photo/1) Most people are drawing things for this month, but I can't draw. So I decided instead to post some headcanons for each day. I'm a little late, so this post with contain days 1-6(Excluding 2 which will be a whole post on it's own). Enjoy! Day 1: Video Games A)Haven Hologram is an improved version of Phineas and Ferb's gaming console from season one. It is controlled via a headset, hand controllers, and feet controllers. It connects to all sense except for touch so that the wearer won't experience physical pain while playing. It's akin to controlling a hologram of whatever character your playing in whatever game your playing. B)I came up with gamertags and favorite Smash Bros. Ultimate characters for the main group of Marie and Thomas. Jasmine's gamertag is RicksRollsRoyce cause she is a meme queen, and she likes playing with Solid Snake cause kickbutt personality. Destiny's gamertag is NautUndercover as a reference to Psychonauts and she plays as Banjo and Kazooie which was her first plateformer, she is a gamer through and through. Xavier's gamertag is Barrell_Roll, and he plays Star Fox cause that is his favorite game of all time. Fred's gamertag is Fred-T-Noobish(he used a random tag generator cause he doesn't no the first thing about gaming), and he plays as Kirby quite a bit. Maria's gamertag is the same as her email address which is MadameE, and she likes playing Sonic the most. Lastly, is Thomas whose gamertag is TheGame, and he likes to play as Princess Zelda. Day 3: Kids A)I've always headcanon'd that Maria was born with diabetes instead of just getting super hyper from sugar(it's also what I headcanon as having ended the life of Phineas Father; Phelan & Phineas and Isabella's first child; Vincent). So, when she's a kid, I always imagine Maria being very isolated due to specifically her father's fears which is why she's not good around others and usually becomes insecure or nervous. Most kids she grew up with didn't feel comfortable around her as they were children and had a difficult time controlling themselves enough for her to be safe around them. Thomas was really the only person allowed around her that wasn't afraid to treat her like a normal kid, and he was the only one her parents really trusted to be safe around her. I headcanon Thomas was not only a quiet kid, but a very curious one as Ferb is shown in the show to be up for almost anything for curiosities sake. Thomas found Maria to be interesting considering she was the only kid in their close family to be younger than him, he(Feb. 27th, 2024) was four/five-ish months old when she(June. 3rd, 2024) was born. Their parents, of course, spent quite a bit of time together meaning so did they. Thomas' mother and father loved Maria like their own daughter, and his aunt and uncle loved Thomas just the same. He got to help his Aunt 'take care' of her when she was basically helpless, and as Maria got older she felt most comfortable around him. That was true for him too as he didn't really feel like their cousins(Amanda, Xavier, and Fred)understood his desire to ask questions or test limits. Day 4: Favorite Movie A)My personal favorite movie is a tie between Ponyo & Clueless, but I decided to just pick movies I thought would be the main crews favorites. I would say, Jasmine's is something like 'The Banana Splits' movie based of the TV Show of the same name due to the fact she deals with horror the best and is a jokester. Destiny's would be something like 'Detective Pikachu' as it's like the best video game movie of our time, and Jasmine & her think Ryan Ronald's is hilarious. Xavier and Fred both like the movie 'Horton Hears a Who' as the Flynn-Fletchers love Doctor Seuss. Maria's favorite would have to be 'The Care Bears Movie' when she's young, but becomes 'Clueless' when she's older(as she falls in love with the book 'Emma', tell me it isn't a perfect metaphor for her and Thomas' relationship. I don't mind the Phantom of the Opera, but I think Emma/Clueless is a WAY better fit-And healthier.). And, Thomas' favorite is no doubt 'The Illusionist' with it's detailed plot and deep characters, ya know the philosophical stuff. Day 5: Terror A)When it comes to fears these characters have I already made a list for Maria, Thomas, and Jasmine. Jasmine is afraid of having no free will & is claustrophobic. Maria has a fear of woodpeckers and of being a failure(I made this whole new dimension where I turned these characters into animals/insects, and made Maria Monarch Butterfly like her mother, this is where I headcanon the fear of Woodpeckers came from cause they eat butterflies.). Lastly, Thomas has Sociophobia(is good at hiding it), Pistanthrophobia(More Familial than Romantic, but both are fears), and Phonophobia(Specifically gunshots). I have explanations for all these fears, but I won't rant about them here. Day 6: Candyland A)Again, I can't draw, so decided to think of what the main crews favorite candy would be. Jasmine's I went with the treat 'Kismi Toffee' from her home country of India. Destiny was given 'Bamsemums' a Norwegian candy made with marshmallows and coated in a light layer of chocolate. Xavier and Fred both got 'Twix's' as their favorite candy. For Maria I kept her canonical favorite Swiss Chocolate. And, I gave Thomas 'Katjes Licorice Cats' which are a German candy shaped like cats and made of real black licorice(he likes the salted kind specifically). That's it for days 1,3,4,5 and 6. I'll get around to day 2(Second Dimension)at some point it's just that that post will basically be a summary of a story idea I've had for years now. Anyway, please leave a comment about anything you wish.
