Bridal Veil Falls, a gem on Manitoulin Island, is a cascade of water that tumbles over a 35-foot limestone cliff, resembling a bride's veil. The falls, surrounded by lush greenery, create a tranquil pool below, suitable for wading or swimming.

We drove to Rocky Butte just East of Portland and enjoyed the views.
Tumblr media
Nice place to stretch our legs. Then we drove to Bridal Veil Falls.
Tumblr media
Actually turned right early and went to Sasquatch shuttle and attendant told us that we could park at the end for $5 and it was just a short trail over to the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls instead of parking in the lot above the falls which he said could be full.

We ended up hiking up to that parking lot as well to do the overlook flat trail with views of the Columbia River.

View of the Columbia River.

Drove over to and hiked to Latourell Falls. Very nice falls, 2.4 miles round trip .The hike was easy/medium hike for us.

Picture of Latourell Falls. After this we drove over to lot and looked at Horsetail Falls. No picture of Horsetail Falls.

We drove to Cascade Locks and checked into Best Western Plus Columbia River. I would highly recommend this hotel. Our room had an awesome balcony. We had a wonderful view of the Columbia River and Bridge of the Gods. After a day of hiking and sightseeing it was so wonderful to be able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view.
We walked to Thunder Island Brewing for dinner but too long of wait so we walked over to Cascade Locks Ale House.

Bridal Veil Falls, Telluride, Colorado, United States
At the end of the valley where Telluride is located is picturesque Bridal Veil Falls. Next to it is a building that generated electricity for the area, but after becoming obsolete, it was sold to a family that converted it into a house.

“Bridal Veil Falls.”

I took this back around the year 2000. I did a little Photoshop trickery with it, which I do now and again. I wanted to bring out the light of summer, which is importnt on a winter day.

Bridal Veil Falls, Alaska
Bridal Veil Falls in August 2014 My husband asked me the other day if I had been to Bridal Veil Falls, and my response was “Which one?”! It seems to be one of the most common waterfall names that I’ve run into (at least in English). After a quick check, I’ve visited 14 Bridal Veil Falls in 3 different countries. And as of right now, this is the last Bridal Veil Falls I have to write about until…
