Dp x Dc AU: Tucker gets hired by the JL to work on the Watchtower’s cybersecurity... He might have a few friends visit.
Batman looked over the application for visitors presented to him by Dr. Foley, who was nervously wringing his hands but seemed excited to talk about his two close associates, and it appeared that everything was in order for the pair to be allotted a short visitation time slot.
The paperwork was established by Batman himself after all, needing a way to permit non-members (His Children) to visit him at his office in the watchtower. Looking over Dr. Foley’s application, the invites to Dr. D. Fenton and Dr. S. Manson seemed to be somewhat warranted.
Dr. Fenton is a well known astrophysicist and Dr. Foley had been upping the security to reflect more complex physics models as the ‘lock’ mechanism for access to Watchtower servers. Dr. Manson was a more controversial figure in social justice but a biochemist to rival Dr. Pamela Isley, not to mention she was someone Bruce Wayne had met a number of times and not completely hated (though he was sure she hated him and everyone else in the gala). She was a fan favorite guest by his children and a great advocate for animal and human rights.
Batman approves the application, allowing their visitation for a few hours at a time once a week until the completion of Dr. Foley’s project.
He doesn’t hear much from it, nor from Dr. Foley, but things start to come down the rumor grapevine that the two guests were more than they seemed. Red Robin was the first to comment on it to him, and as practical and efficient Tim could be, there was a look of chaos in his smile as he discussed the two additional PhDs. He was stingy on details and that always meant something bad for Bruce’s mental health. A few others asked a few questions as to who exactly the pair were visiting, and Cyborg commented that they weren’t really doing too much to assist Dr. Foley.
Batman decides to intervene and meet these two for himself when he hears Constantine complain (not that the man wasn’t always complaining about something) about the two new magic users being way too OP for normal humans.
This is how the JL gets to become allied with Ghost King Phantom and Thorn (not Poison Ivy pt.2 as Robin insisted). Turns out they weren’t sure if the JL could be trusted with interdimensional politics, so Tucker spent the last two years gaining their trust to let Danny and Sam up here to ‘check the place out’ before they committed to becoming members.
Batman doesn’t even get to raise alarms at the espionage of it all because Red Robin has already programed their new badges and welcomed them on with open arms and a project to take down the LOA’s Lazarus Pits “safely”.

Dead On Main Part 11
Masterpost
Danny was woken up a little after seven in the morning by Tim. Not on purpose, but he had gotten into another argument with Dick and Bruce. Tim was driving now, and apparently it was time for a shift change, but they were only about an hour away now, so Tim didn’t want to stop.
“We should probably stop for breakfast anyway.” Danny interjected as soon as he could be sure he wasn’t going to be talking over someone.
“Morning, Danny.”
“How did you sleep Danny?” Bruce asked.
“I slept great!” Danny answered. “But if you have any interest at all in eating, we should do it before we get to my house.”
“Well, that does solve our other problem.”
They argued for a while about where to eat, but eventually they were back in the car for the final stretch. Back in their original positions, Tim is actually doing something on his tablet now, while Dick checks his phone.
Danny decides to check his phone too, it has a few messages, but Danny realizes he doesn’t know the password to this phone that isn’t actually his when he goes to try and read them.
Tim is able to solve that problem for him, unlocking the phone and then handing it back.
Danny sees the texts are from his phone.
Hey so we’ve had a bit of a problem
How do I get you to stop being green?
“Shit.” Danny murmured under his breath. He didn’t notice Tim glancing at him or Dick and Bruce’s shared look.
Are you there?
Hey, never mind we figured it out
This isn’t really my place, but we ran into someone named Vlad earlier and he was acting creepy and strange, are you okay?
If he’s bothering you I promise I can help.
“Creepy vulture-loving vampire.” Danny’s mumbles as he texts back.
What did he do? Are you okay?
I'm fine. Jazz and I handled it.
But you're not really inspiring confidence here.
Do I need to take care of this guy for you?
I'll deal with the fruitloop when I get back
“Danny, can you direct us to your house?” Bruce asks from the driver’s seat.
“Of course.” Danny puts his phone away and leans into the middle seat to look out the window.
They get to the house quickly after getting into town. They parked in front of the house. They all gaped at the questionable architecture, but to their credit, no one said anything as they walked up the steps.
Danny, knowing that the front door is almost never actually locked, goes on autopilot and just walks in. He heads for the kitchen, leading the others to sit down at the table. “Jazz?” He calls into the house.
Jazz comes into the room cautiously, holding the creep stick. “Jazz, It’s Danny! We made it. Do you know where my body is?”
“Wow.” Jazz says, looking Danny up and down. Danny realizes belatedly that she’s looking at Jason.
Jason comes in, waving at his family, who eye him curiously. Danny goes to step in front of him.
“Hi.” Danny is sheepish, looking down at himself. He is so much shorter than Jason.
“Hey.” Jason gives him a quick head nod in greeting. “Are you ready to switch back?”
“So ready.” Danny breathes out. He reaches a hand out and Jason goes to shake it. When their hands connect, they are frozen for a second. Danny blinks.

2. A Familiar Password
“Fuck, I need some of the case files on the Crawfort case, but I haven’t digitized them yet,” Dick’s voices comes over the coms. “I’m on a stakeout and can’t go get them. Can anyone go pick ‘em up and bring them to me?”
“I’m out and about. I can swing by, no problem,” Tim replies.
“Pff, out and about, are you a grandpa?” Steph snorts.
Tim graciously ignores her as he asks: “Which safe house?”
“The one in Cobble Hill, on the border with East Park Side,” Dick answers. “Do you know it?”
“Oh, yeah, that one. I know where that is,” Tim says.
In the moment, Dick thinks nothing of it, turning back to his stakeout. He listens to Tim drive, before coming to a halt. As Tim walks up the stairs to the safe house, Dick starts: “The spare key is-”
“Behind the hallway radiator, I know,” Tim cuts him off, as there is an audible click of the lock. “Is the safe still in the cupboard with the sink?”
“Y- Yeah, how did you know that?” Dick asks, though he doesn’t wait for a reply. “The password is 493117.”
“Still?” Tim’s voice comes out highly judgmental. “You’ve had that password for this safe since you bought it, that’s terrible security!”
“What?” Dick chokes.
“Really? You know how B gets about security, did you ever pay attention?” Jason asks.
“Yeah, like I know password updates suck, but that’s excessive,” Steph agrees, always ready to get on the gossip or shade train. “When did you buy that thing again?”
“Ten years ago!” Dick exclaims. “Which is why he can’t possibly know that. I haven’t even had anyone over in that safe house.”
“Nah, but you aren’t very good at shrugging off a tail, especially at the end of your Robin days, you were fucking cocky back then,” Tim says casually. “Besides, this safe is, like, in full view of the window and you don’t really check if anyone is watching. Again, terrible security.”
“Oh my god, is this from your stalking days?” Steph asks.
“Baby Bird, don’t spread lies, I’m great at shrugging tails,” Dick whines. “And I wasn’t cocky.”
“You were definitely cocky and very annoying,” Jason pipes up. “But I do have to say, Timbo, that is very fucking creepy. You were just following us home and peaking through our windows?”
“I didn’t do it to your homes, Jason, just safe houses. I wanted to know what you were working on,” Tim says, an eye roll obvious.
“No names on the coms,” Bruce reminds them, suddenly speaking up where he’d been silent throughout the previous interactions.
“Don’t you have anything to say about this? Replacement just confessed to peaking through our windows,” Jason says indignantly.
“Not your windows, just this one safe house,” Tim complains. “And it’s not even that much of a safe house, I found it when I was eight.”
“I don’t have anything to say, no. Like all of you, I already know of Red Robin’s previous occupation,” Bruce answers, obviously trying to stay neutral enough so he won’t get caught up in a war between his children. “It’s in the files, if any of you bothered to read those.”
“This is so unfair,” Dick whines.
“You have a file on RR’s stalker behavior, since when? Why didn’t you tell me about that, oh sweet ex of mine?” Steph asks.
“Oh shut up,” Tim mutters, embarrassed. Before he swiftly changes the conversation: “Nightwing, en route to your location. File obtained.”

Batfamily Shenanigans:Head-canons Pt: 2
Dick and Tim have the most inside jokes,Jason ignores them and Damian is but jealous. But the two bonded a lot before the arrival/return of the other two.
Jason takes his little brothers to Diner’s at 2 am. Alfred would rather he do it during regular hours, but then he remembers they’re nighttime activities and is just happy he’s not trying to shoot them.
Talia before having Damian loved seeing a young Dick Grayson as Robin. He was so full of cheer and it warmed Talia’s heart, she hoped to have a son as bright as him. (She did he’s just a little shy)
Cass doesn’t have her drivers license and prefers to be passenger princess.
Duke has naturally curly hair but cuts most of the time for easier management.
Jason can mimic voices the best. He can do a pretty decent Bruce Wayne impression and it has made Bruce ask his children multiple times if he sounds like that. Alfred gets a chuckle out of it too.
The Robins most definitely play pricks on JL members who annoy their Dad, that’s there job. Hal goes to pay his bills and all his passwords have been changed, Oliver is getting dressed for a party and all his clothes are pink.
Bruce is a big baby when he’s sick. He cannot find for hisself and his family take turns caring for him. Jason makes him soup, Tim gives him medicine, Damian and Duke make him rest, The girls block him from working on cases files and Alfred makes sure he has plenty of fluids. And if that fails they call in the big guns. Diana.
Speaking of Wonder Woman, she visits the Manor every Sunday and her and Damian feed and pet his animals.
Tim,Jason and Dick all have “R” tattoos. Dick promised Damian he could get on when he turns 18, and they let Damian sketch it too.
Dick’s is on his right hip, Jason’s is on his left wrist, and Tim’s is on his right ankle.
Stephanie and Selina are tied for the most ear piercings.
Jason is the only former Robin who can drive stick currently. Dick hasn’t done it in years but probably could after a few lessons, Tim never learned, Damian can but prefers not to. Jason is currently teaching Duke and Steph and had regretted it ever since.
Alfred enjoys making lunches for everyone still. Some days he gets to make everyone lunch. He first makes Damian(PB&J with crust cut off, and cut into triangles) and Duke’s(Ham and cheese toasted sandwich with pickles slices) school lunches.
Bruce usually leaves for the office before breakfast so when Tim eventually comes downstairs Alfred will have his breakfast Togo and both their lunches. (Usually for B it’s a BLT with turkey bacon and cheese. And Tim’s is Tuna and Swiss on whole grain bread.)
Dick on Tuesdays and Friday’s, sometimes Sundays spends the night the prior at the Manor. He’s usually the only home so Alfred can make whatever he wants for lunch. He’s top two favorite lunches are Janija one of the only dishes Alfred can make that tastes similar to how Dick’s Mom prepared it. And Bangers and Mash. When he first arrived he say Alfred eating this and wanted to try it. He always requests this dish, but only if he can eat it with Alfred.
Jason likes either Club subs or a simple pasta with fresh spinach and a cream sauce.
Depending on the day Alfred will drop off lunch to the Clocktower for Barbara and the girls. Sometimes the other birds are in town and he always knows when to make extra. Most of the times me it’s wrapped sandwiches a mix of cold cuts and vegetarian options. Barbara always get turkey with cheddar, Steph gets chicken salad on a croissant bread and Cass gets ham and cheese pinwheels.
He even makes weekly meals and drops them off for the Titans and Young Justice. Seeing as most of them cannot cook. He packs extra knowing their speedsters on each time. Looking at you Wally and Bart. They’re all just grateful they don’t have to eat Pizza or Big Belly Burger for a few nights. Dick enjoys when Alfred visits and so does Kory. Tim and his friends are over the moon to have Alfred visit them too, and Bart even makes request for his next meal.
The league even gets random lunch. They return from training and find fresh out meals at the sits. Batman just shrugs but Superman and Wonder Woman make him call Alfred so he can be thanked.
Sunday’s are days that’s it mandatory for everyone to come for dinner. Once a Month several members are the League are expected to come for dinner and everyone better be on their best behavior. No wants an angry butler, so everyone always attends.
Jason and Duke are the only people allowed to help with preparing food, Dick isn’t allowed because he sampled everything to the point he’s eaten half of the dish. Tim and Damian are assigned to setting the table. And Bruce must stay either in the living room or dinning room if Alfred even hears the grandfather clock tick he’s going to skin a bat.
Cass enjoys getting ingredients from the fridge and pantry for them. And Stephanie is on Bruce Watch, if he moves she sprays him with water like a misbehaving kitten.
Most the the time Barbara is greeting the guests and depending on is Stephanie is needed to help bring the food out Barbara will have Bruce greet everyone with her. She especially makes him greet Green Arrow and Green Lantern.
Sometimes Alfred asks other to bring dishes for a potluck.Clark will usually bring Jon,Lois and Conner with him and he’ll bring pies. Diana always bring Donna. Usually they bring wines and vegetables.Ollie and Dinah usually are late but the bring brownies and cobbler, Roy and Lian bring meatballs, Hal brings beer and he’s makes a mean Mac and cheese on his smoker, Barry and Iris bring sodas, Arthur provides fresh fish, and J’onn brings a tasty and beautiful charcuterie board.
It’s a blast and all the kids have fun too with their friends and Alfred swears he sees Bruce double over laughing at Hal and Barry fighting for the last brownie.
All in all the butler that would take on the entire League of Doom himself enjoys making food for his family and spending with them too.

The sign out front says this is a dnd blog, but I’m making French onion soup and have been thinking about this the whole time so
*THESE ARE ALL MY HEADCANNON. YOU CAN DISAGREE BUT DONT BE A DICK.*
BatFam and things you couldn’t waterboard out of them
Damian: he likes girlie pop revenge music. He won’t seek it out on purpose for his own dignity, but if “good 4 u” or “look what you made me do” is playing, he is enjoying it on the inside. He would rather eat the batmobile than let anybody know. There isn’t a single person he could tell that wouldn’t be insufferable.
Jason: cannot watch Fox and the Hound without sobbing VIOLENTLY. It’s ugly. Definitely has nothing to do with the fox being named Tod. Definitely.
Tim: admitting he should sleep. Literally would rather eat dirt. No, he doesn’t need sleep. Pass the coffee. Also, wrote Batman adoption fan fiction, very Adopted by One Direction. But less creepy.
Dick: frequently got super cold in the Robin costume, very often regretted the shorts. He will never admit it to anyone. He refuses to admit that maybe the tiny shorts weren’t the best choice. Was very relieved when Tim gave himself tights.
Bruce: he can’t tie a tie. Batman does not know how to tie a tie. He’s tried learning, but he just can’t. Doesn’t know why. Alfred still has to help him, and he has a bunch of clip ons. If any of the media or his rich buddies notice, it’s cus he’s Dumb Brucie who can’t tie a tie. If any of his children or superhero partners notice, it’s so he can change into and out of his Batman costume quicker if he had to leave a function. A full tie is just such a hassle, ya know? Alfred is the only one who knows the truth.
Steph: somehow caught Damian listening to girlie pop revenge music without him realizing. She can never tell anybody. He’ll find out it was her. He will kill her and nobody’s will ever find her body. Anything you could do to her to try and get her to tell, he will do worse.
Cass: she’s seen some shit around the manor. Being as quiet as she is has consequences, and those consequences are seeing and hearing things you did not wanna know about. Very little of it can even be written out. She’s taking that shit to the grave.
You also just couldn’t waterboard jack shit out of her anyway, she’s impenetrable.
Duke: similar to Cass, he’s seen some shit. You don’t wanna know. Also, he likes to eat just plain Mayo on bread. He can’t tell anyone out of pure shame. He would be clowned to heights unseen.
Barbara: knows that sometimes her dad turns on the bat signal just to see what Bruce drops off. He just does it out of curiosity, he has no actual criminal for Batman to target, he just wants to see who gets dropped off with a fresh concussion. Also, sometimes she remotely changes Bruce’s ridiculously complicated passwords just slightly to confuse him. Not enough to be super obvious someone changed it on purpose, but enough for Bruce to start to think that maybe he’s getting a little up in age.
Alfred: as if he would ever allow himself to be put in a position where he could even be captured, much less waterboarded.

Learning to Love Slowly
Jason Todd x Reader All Chapters AO3
40-Batcaves and Dead Robins
“So…Jason, are you bringing your girlfriend to dinner tonight?” Bruce asked suddenly.
At the question, everyone went silent and turned to hear his answer. Jason sneered at him because he hated being put on the spot like that, especially in front of everyone. There was a few moments of silence before he finally decided to say something.
“I don’t know. I haven’t asked her if she wanted to come,” He said.
Dick, on behalf of his father, rolled the chair from the batcomputer over to his brother’s phone on the table nearby. Despite Jason’s irritation at the invasion of privacy, especially since his password was now obviously compromised, he didn’t make a move to take the phone from him.
After a few seconds, after the message was sent, there was a ding. There wasn’t too much wondering from the crowd surrounding him about what you said, because as soon as it appeared on the screen Dick read it aloud.
“Of course, Jaybeans, I’d love to! By the way, do you really think your Pops will let me see the Batcave?” Dick then added on his own commentary after seeing Jason’s face, “Don’t be too upset, Jaybird. It’s the last family dinner before the new year, let’s make it fun!”
Bruce chuckled in response to his eldest son, only meeting Jason’s angry eyes briefly before quietly surrendering himself to the idea of staying out of it. Taking his phone back while mumbling about how no one there wouldn’t know how to respect boundaries if it hit them in the face, Jason then disappeared upstairs.
He didn’t mind you coming over—Hell, he wanted you there, but he also hated suddenly springing things like this on you. Jason was about to message explaining what had happened when you replied again.
Should I wear the dress you like so much?
Okay, maybe he wanted you there a bit more than he initially thought because the thought of you in that pretty little pale pink dress drove him wild. After all, it would be nice to see you after the tough time you had with your exams.
When you arrived Jason met you at the door with a kiss, and Dick ran out greeting you like a dog after its owner arrived home from a long vacation. He was excited, pulling you in with Jason trailing behind the cave.
“It’s kind of weird to have someone who’s not, ya know—”
“Wait, wait, wait. Dick,” You laughed. “Let me get my bearings first. I’d like to say hello to Alfred and your Dad before I go invading the most personal of your family’s spaces.”
“But—”
“Dick,” Jason warned. Reluctantly, he let you go.
Bruce and Alfred were thrilled to see you back in their home, saying how long it had been and how much your presence was missed. You felt so welcomed whenever you entered the Wayne Manor as they seemed so happy to have, as they described it, someone normal around for a change. Well, the second normal person. Apparently, Tim had been dating a civilian, too, named Bernard.
The entire time Dick had been impatiently waiting to show you the Batcave, and, by the time dinner had been served, gave up on showing it to you at all. Jason didn’t care whether or not you saw the cave, and, in fact, preferred the latter.
There was too much history in the cave, happy and sad, that he felt like he would have to explain. To Jason, the cave was nothing more than a pit of despair and longing that he knew would turn anyone with common sense.
Forgetting the cave, dinner was great. You seemed more than happy to be there, and Jason was more than pleased, especially seeing you in that dress. The dinner had gone so great that everyone had insisted you stay longer to play some of their games. You joined in with such enthusiasm that Jason already knew you might be stuck at home with him for the night.
Watching you beat Dick and Stephanie in Mario Kart earned you an extremely special place in the household as one of the greatest players of the game, a title previously owned by Steph. Soon enough, Tim was going around to the whole group gathering money on who would win in the next round, all bets going to you. Unfortunately, just as your luck was up, Stephanie quickly earned back her rightful name.
You handed over the controller to Jason, “You play now. I’m going to the bathroom.”
“Oh, do you need me to show you…”
“I’m fine, I’ll be right back, honeybee.” With that and a kiss, you were gone.
Jason watched you go. The first few minutes you were gone he thought about following you, just to make sure you didn’t get lost in the twisted maze of the manor but decided against it.
It wasn’t until the third round he had played did he start to get worried that you were lost. Excusing himself, Jason got up to go find you. The halls were empty and, for once, quiet. He was worried you had left without saying anything until he had come across Alfred.
“She’s with Bruce down in the Batcave,” Was all he said before stepping away.
Jason didn’t know how to feel at that information, especially since he wasn’t there with you. As he made his way to the cave entrance a thousand rushed thoughts were going through his mind. Did you like the cave? What were you thinking? How in the hell did you end up there with Bruce of all people?
Shaking off his trainwreck of an inner voice, he tipped-toed on the stairs down to where the two of you were. When he got down to the platform he could hear you and Bruce talking, voices echoing clearly.
“It’s small,” You said.
Jason, standing back and slightly hiding, could see the two of you standing in front of the glass cases of old suits. The two of you were in front of his, making his heart sink as you stared at it. Even from across the cave it was obvious how fucked the suit was from what had happened with the Joker and that building. There were spots of blood on the yellow and green and black spots from the soot of the explosion.
All remnants of a dead Robin.
Bruce chuckled, thoughtfully and somberly. “He was a small kid.”
“You would never guess it now,” You remarked. It was a joke, but the way you said it was like you were thinking out loud. The wheels in your head were turning, and Jason wanted to know what thoughts your head was cranking out. “I—I can’t imagine what it was like for you, Mr. Wayne, as his mentor and a father. I’m sorry.”
Bruce was quiet for a few seconds before finally saying, “Thank you. I regret what happened every day. He was—No, sorry, still is a good boy. ”
“He’s a softie.” You patted Bruce’s arm. “And a good person.”
“I know, and every day I wonder where he got all that from.”
Jason sat there in stunned silence. His heart was thumping in his chest and all he wanted to do was bury his head in your chest while he cried. It had been so long since someone called him, an over six-foot-tall brick house of a man, a boy, much less a good one.
Suddenly, Bruce changed the subject, “Jason, when did you get down here?”
Jason was sure Bruce had known he was there far longer than he showed but spared him the embarrassment of getting caught by you. You turned around fast with surprise before melting into an expression that just gave away how happy you were to see him. Laughing lightly at himself, he walked toward the two of you.
“A few seconds ago. Dick was getting annoying.”
You giggled, “I’m sorry to have bailed. I ran into your dad on the way back from the bathroom and he offered to show me the cave and…” You gestured all around you. To him it wasn’t much, but, as far, as he could tell, you liked it. “Don’t think I could resist getting a tour from the Dark Knight himself.”
He couldn’t see the appeal in what you described, but the cave and Bruce had become such an odd norm to him. He nodded over to the glass case. “Bruce told you the sob story of the dead bird.”
“No,” You said. “No birds here.”
Jason thought about rebuffing your words when he realized what you meant. Right, there were no dead birds. Just a dead kid. His eyes shifted over to Bruce whose eyes were looking glassier than usual. And, a dead son.
Jason cleared his throat. “We better get back upstairs, Dick’s gonna be pissed when he hears he wasn’t the one to give you the grand tour.”
“That’s right,” You said. “Let’s go. Are you coming, Mr. Wayne? I’d like to hear some more silly Jay-Jay stories.”
Bruce finally tore his eyes away to look at you and nodded. Clapping his hand on Jason’s shoulder and your’s he guided the two of you back upstairs. Though, usually apprehensive to his father’s touches, Jay tried not to be too quick to push away this time.
It was the least a good dead son could do for his grieving father. It would be a good New Year’s resolution anyway, to breach the gap between him and Bruce.
Just as the three of you emerged from the clock entrance upstairs, Dick entered the room. Looking distressed, he whined, “Did you show her the cave without me?”

Hello again bat-gran 👋
I appreciated your answer on the Robins situation, it intrigued me.
How would you have written Damian/where would you like his writing to go?
Poor Damian is simultaneously the Batfamily character with the most potential and the worst possible character development. If you go all the way back to his introduction it was fairly clear that readers were supposed to loathe him. He was an arrogant and rude little princeling with a chip on his shoulder the size of Cleveland.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Damian was such a brat that he even managed to exhaust Alfred's patience, which is a real feat considering the man raised Bruce.
Tumblr media
Everyone knows that in his later interaction with Tim in this issue (Batman #657) Damian proves what a superior person he is by killing the first criminal he came across. He then tossed the decapitated head, (with a grenade in it's mouth) at Tim to make a point.
Tumblr media
The most important thing to take away from this is that Damian has been raised in a cult that operates on the same upward mobility scheme as the Klingon Empire. In order to get ahead, you kill the person in your way. That' s exactly what Damian tried to do.
Tumblr media
Damian was originally conceived as an anti-hero at least and a full blown villain at worst. He was supposed to be a great source of angst for Batman to darkly brood over for years. The only problem was that about half of the fandom loved hyper-violent, rude and nasty Damian. DC now had to figure out how to redeem him enough to work with Batman.
They actually did come up with a method that worked. During Battle For The Cowl Damian saved Tim's life in a very Damian way.
Tumblr media
This was the moment that could have changed everything. This is where I would have had Damian reluctantly (very reluctantly) allow the idea that maybe his father's way of doing things had a tiny bit of merit after all. To be honest, I wouldn't have changed much of the Dick Grayson Batman and Damian Wayne Robin arc. You had a much sunnier Batman with Robin as the grim dark little gremlin a lot of people loved. Damian actually showed some positive character development without losing the edge that made him popular.
What would I have changed? This...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All the progress Damian made was unceremoniously tossed onto the garbage heap. The moment the kid got angry with Tim he went right into assassin mode and tried to kill him - again. Worst of all, there were no real consequences for his actions. Instead we're supposed to sympathize with the fact that Damian's feelings were hurt.
Tumblr media
The impression left with the reader is that Damian maybe got a stern to talking to from Dick but that was about it. It does not help the conversation above seems to lay the blame on Tim for not having a stronger password.
This is the crux of the problem that followed Damian for years. DC seemed to actively undo any positive character development to keep him static. Damian was not allowed to be anything other than rude, arrogant and hyper-violent. He worked abysmally with Bruce's Batman, so much so that it set in stone the idea that Bruce was incapable of being a good Dad to Damian. Damian's character waffled between hero, anti-hero and kind-of-sort-of villain repeatedly. Not too long ago they were setting him up to be a bad guy yet again. Remember when Damian had his own private prison and then resigned from being Robin?
Tumblr media
Why would DC continually do that to a character with so much potential?
What I would do with Damian is what we're now seeing. He went off and had his obligatory Robin-right-of-passage adventure on a mysterious island. Damian came back a better character. His relationship with Tim is improved enough that they still bicker dreadfully but are actually more like brothers.
Tumblr media
I really like what I'm seeing in Batman and Robin. This is how Damian should be written. He's still got his edge and doesn't suffer fools well but he's working towards a positive future.
Tumblr media
So, if you'll forgive this pedantic old Bat-Gran, my point is that what I want to see, what I as a writer would do, is keep him more on the path of the current Batman and Robin series and less of what we see in the current Batman series.
Tumblr media
Most of all I would write Damian consistently, not vary the basics of his personality from book to book. That is the cardinal flaw that has always plagued DC.
Who I want Damian to be is a young man who is just beginning to discover that he can choose his own future. My version of Damian can honor his heritage but still move forward into the best version of himself. He can be someone who, perhaps like many teens, has no idea what he'll be in ten years but does know that it's a path he chooses for himself, not one forced on him by either the Waynes or the Al Ghuls.
I just hope I live long enough to see that. I'm already 67 so I hope DC stops messing around gets to it, please.
So, are you sorry you asked?

What would Bruce be like if his best friend (the reader) found out she was pregnant and the father was from a one night stand? Ooh what if they both fall in love with each other secretly?
Ari Note: For whatever reason, my brain didn't think "One Night Stand" but Bruce being overprotective after a bad breakup? idek. But... Enjoy?
In all the time Bruce had known you, he'd never seen you look so... small. You had a presence. You crackled with energy and warmth- drew people to you like moths to a flame. You'd been drawing him to you since the pair of you were little.
"What happened?" he asked softly, dabbing gently at the cut on your cheek, fighting to keep the anger out of his voice. He'd hated this boyfriend from the minute you'd introduced him- he was an asshole, put simply. And he manipulated you into believing that he cared about you- did and said all the right things. More interested in your money and connections than your love. It had killed Bruce to stay quiet- making it harder for Darren to alienate him from you- making sure you had a safe place to run when it broke bad.
You take a ragged breath and exhale slowly, looking away, "I told him I'm pregnant."
Bruce froze. Swallowing down the rush of absolute fury. "How long?"
And that's when heartbreak replaces fury as you start to cry. Dissolving into a flood of helpless sobs, burying your face in your hands. All Bruce can do is pull you into his arms, rocking you tenderly, cradling your head against his shoulder. "Shhh," he soothed, "It'll be okay."
"I really thought he'd be happy and then-"
"He's not going to do this to you again," Bruce promised, loosening his grip just long enough to give you a tissue box.
"Bruce-"
"I'll tell Alfred to have the housekeeper make up your room," he said, undeterred. After you were asleep, Batman would have a job to do. But right now, you didn't need Batman. You needed your best friend.
"I'll be-"
"You're going to stay here until your security can change the locks and passwords," he said firmly. "He tried to shove you down the stairs and backhanded you into a wall."
You wince and Bruce cradles your cheek, the uninjured one, in his hand. "You're pregnant," he reminded, making use of the cool cloth he held to wipe your face. "You're vulnerable and he knows it. I'd feel better if you stayed here- where he can't sweet-talk his way past anyone."
When you hesitate, looking away, Bruce kisses your forehead, "Please? Alfred would never forgive me if I let you go home. Especially right now."
"Just for tonight I don't want to-"
"When has that ever been a problem?" he snorted, "The kids will be thrilled. Alfred will be more than happy to have someone to gossip with- and I-" he broke off. He wanted to say he'd love you to stay forever. That the Manor only felt right when you were there. A link to a happier past- but he can't. So he simply says, "I'll be glad that you're safe."

📡 😞
In the time since Buchanan's and Ileana's daughter's birth and his father's passing much had happened in the kingdom.  Just two weeks after the birth of Livia, Lord and Lady Falcon welcomed their son James Steven Wilson.  Dark skinned like his father, as he grew his eyes changed to a light hazel with green accents like his mother.  The look was striking in a pleasing way.
Buchanan and Ileana had both become engaged with saving the collection of books found in the remains of the building hidden in the ravine.  The Sorceress put an enchantment on it that only required a password to be spoken which would allow them entry into the space.  "Luceat lux" which translated to "Shine a light" was shared with a limited group of people, including Bruce, Lord and Lady Stark, William Harley, the King and Queen, King Thorn, Queen Jane, Lord and Lady Falcon, Baroness Romanoff and Silas Brenson, who despite his own self deprecation of his intellectual abilities had been shown to have as quick a mind as William Harley.
Bruce took Ileana's suggestions to heart and removed the library computers to a place in Buchanan's castle that had been set up with power generated by the sun or wind as needed.  With the library's programming resources which surprisingly included many with the CD-ROMs still inside the resources he was able to reformat them and load software which they could use for scientific purposes, although they were unable to set up a network that connected the computers.  Lord Stark, William Harley, Silas Brenson, and Lord and Lady Falcon proved to be quick studies in programming, grasping the basic concepts quickly and proving themselves capable of reformatting the computers and creating additional programs.  Together with Queen Jane and Lady Buchanan, Bruce created a program that could run the calculations he had been working by hand.  Using the CD-ROM drives, and a number of rewritable CD-ROMs that were found in a library back room, he was able to make copies of the program for all of the computers.
Regular trips were taken to the Library to pull out resources that would be of greatest use to the most people.  On this particular day Buchanan, Erasmus and the Sorceress searched out resources in the Religion section that would help bolster the acceptance of technology by the masses.  Erasmus was almost overwhelmed by the number of different religions there had been in ancient times.  Some were puzzling to him but others held wisdom that made him wonder why the Church had suppressed the knowledge of them in the years since the calamity.
"It seems the Church was more intent on being the only place of worship to the people," he said.  "They controlled so much and regarded others with different beliefs as heretical and dangerous.  Lord Buchanan, you went to the Holy Land, saw and fought the supposed infidels.  Were their ideas truly that dangerous?"
"Truthfully, no," said Buchanan.  "They just refused to submit to the will of the Church.  Perhaps that's why the Church went to war with them.  I lost my will to fight the others for it seemed they just wanted to live peacefully by their beliefs, not the Church's.  I am still a believer but these past years have shown me that the Church doesn't hold the patent for living the righteous path.  It lives within the person."
"Well said," replied Erasmus.  "You would make a good priest in the new Church.  Too bad you married and had a child."
"Why should that stop anyone?" asked Buchanan.
The Sorceress smiled and looked at her cousin.  "We have had this discussion many times," she said.  "Perhaps enlightenment should be offered to everyone who asks for it, not just unmarried men."
Erasmus bowed his head in deference to both the Sorceress and Buchanan and they continued looking for books.   Elsewhere Ileana had directed several others deeper into the Library, each with a battery torch.  She gave them the numbers that she recalled from memory on engineering, mentioning the types of that applied science, including hydraulic, electrical, magnetic, communications, radio and lighting.  One of her group found books on heating, propulsion and tools so they packed them as well.  Together they hauled them out and strapped them into great leather satchels carried by pack horses.  Outside, at the top of the ravine Ileana waited with Livia keeping her close for feedings.  Seeing where the sun was located Ileana reminded Rhodes to advise Lord Buchanan it was time to leave before sunset overtook them on the trip back.  Within a half hour they were on their way back, Livia in a carrier fastened to her mother's front that allowed her to feed her on horseback, if necessary.
As they rode back, Buchanan kept riding close to see his daughter.  Livia had thrived since her premature birth and was very much loved and cherished by her parents.   Although she had his eyes and hair, her face was very much like her mother's.  Her alert curiosity took in everything on the rides to and from the ravine and as she grew older she would point at things in the trees with delight.
On one of his trips to the library Buchanan ventured deep into the structure, finding a section for children.  He pulled books and toys out then brought them to Ileana whose face lit up at the items.  Many of the books were ones she remembered from her own childhood.  Together they often read them to their daughter.  When Buchanan mentioned it to the King and to Lord Falcon they asked for some of the items themselves.  The toys especially, were admired and the King found a woodworker who could recreate them for distribution throughout the kingdom.
Meanwhile Bruce and the other modern worlders, as they came to be called, continued searching out people with quick minds and teaching them about the technology of their ancestors.  Using materials readily available, they attempted to recreate the building of certain things that could benefit society as a whole.   Although the dissidents still grumbled about the invasion of modern technology in their quiet lives there were no more incidents of sabotage at the missile silo.    An incident in a large village in the Ancient Mountains brought the advantages of using modern technology to the attention of many after a small child fell into a deep well.  Using one of the battery lights attached to his head, Silas Brenson strapped on a harness copied from illustrations found in a mountain climbing book to rappel down, pluck the child from the icy water then climb back up.  In front of the whole village he emerged from the well with the child secured to him, taking less than an hour from the time he entered.  The child was hypothermic but using the treatment for hypothermia from a first aid book, the village healer was able to bring him around fairly quickly with no ill effects.  Both Silas and the healer gave credit to the knowledge from the books for the successful rescue.  The question was soon raised as to why a village could not have a small library of their own to share resources with those who lived in the surrounding area.
Baroness Romanoff, herself eight months pregnant wrote a moving letter to the King about the rescue of the child and how it helped turn the tide of opinion on the modern books.  She formally requested the King look to build a number of small libraries in larger villages and create their own library system where the books would be available to all, not just the nobles.  With the open support of the modern worlders a plan was drawn up to divide the books as equitably as possible and distribute them to the larger villages once a suitable building had been erected and shelves installed that could hold the books.   Stone cutters, masons and wood workers welcomed the opportunity to build the structures and with the addition of solar and wind power installations to power the buildings the potential to be open in the evenings intrigued many.
Perhaps the biggest accomplishment of all was the successful building of a pair of radios by Lord Stark and William Harley.  Although rudimentary in appearance both could send and receive voice messages.  Initially their conversations were limited to Lord Stark's castle but when he read about transmission towers he directed his workers to build a tower a mile away and sent a message to Harley, who had wired the radio to the tower.  At first they heard nothing.  With some suggestions from Bruce Banner, a metal worker was conscripted to fashion two large metal saucer shaped discs that were fastened to the tower and to the side of Lord Stark's castle.  Once wires connected the discs to the radios they tried again and for the first time since the first asteroid destroyed much of the civilization of their world two men conversed over the air.
By the time Prince Joseph turned one year of age most of the Lords and Baronesses had their own radio network over their estates.  It was used to share news from the King, for pronouncements of events, and even warnings of severe weather.  Meanwhile work continued on determining how to reprogram the missiles to target the asteroid which had now been identified and confirmed as the one that would cross paths with the world at a point in the coming years.  The three silos were connected to the radio network, using the equipment onsite, and with their modern technology had greater range than the rudimentary ones.
Bruce and Queen Jane found a ham radio in a storage room in the silo whose missile had been launched.  On a whim, they set it up, connected it to the local radio tower and tuned it to 145.80 MHz.
"You ever used a ham radio before?" asked Bruce.  "I think we should call ourselves KBL1 for Kingdom of Broken Lands 1."
"Nope," said the Queen.  "You?"
"No," he said, opening a library book on ham radio etiquette.  "Here goes.  CQ CQ CQ this is KBL1 calling CQ CQ CQ."
He repeated it several times but there was no response.  Just radio silence.  He looked at Jane.
"If there is anyone out there they could be on a break," he said.  "Why don't we try every fifteen minutes for the day and if we hear nothing then we know we're on our own."
She nodded and both returned to using the computers at the silo to run calculations.  Every fifteen minutes one or the other would call out to the silence, hoping to get a response.  But there was nothing for the entire day.
"We should go into the evening," said Bruce.  "Some operators only do it in the evening because the atmospheric conditions are better."
"I have to go," she said apologetically.  "I promised Lord Stark I would come to his lab and I'll get there after dark as it is.  You staying?"
"Yeah, I'm staying," said Bruce.  "I brought some food.  I can sleep in one of the cots of the quarters.  You'll be okay on your own?"
"I think Thorn has left me a couple of guards to escort me," she smiled, patting her growing belly.  "Especially since I got pregnant.  Soon, I'll have to return to home to have the baby.  Can't have the heir to the throne born in another kingdom, right?"
They said their goodbyes and Bruce watched as she climbed up the ladder to the outside.  She shouted and waved from the top that she and her escort would be leaving.  He pressed the buttons that closed the doors, locking himself into the silo.  Silently he ate his rations that he brought with him, then he tried calling out on the ham radio again, repeating it for several minutes before stopping.   Every hour he woke up trying for ten minutes at a time and every hour there was no response.  Just before morning he stopped, disconnected everything and put it all back into the storage room.  They were truly on their own.
He searched out the cot and stretched out on it after he turned off the lights.  It was pitch dark inside and quiet.  As tired as he was he couldn't sleep and he tossed and turned until finally he slept a dreamless sleep.   When he awakened he was on the floor, the cot having broken underneath him.
"Wonderful," he said to himself as he got up off the floor in the dark.
Reaching for the light switch he was startled to see the green skin of the Hulk once again covering him.  He ran to a bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror.  The spell that the Sorceress had laid on him the previous year was broken, returning him to his in-between state.  His clothes, now in tatters, were barely enough to cover him and he groaned in agony at being once again caught in this too big body with its bad temper and excess strength.  Carefully he climbed the ladder to the outside, pressing the button that would allow the doors to open.  There was no one there in the pre-dawn stillness and he looked around before pressing the outside control to close the silo.
"I'm going to miss this," he said to the sky, then started running towards the ravine, back to his hut, back to his self-imposed exile.
An hour later, after the sun had risen Lord Falcon approached the silo after being informed by Queen Jane the previous night that Bruce intended to stay the night to try and make contact with the stronger radio.  When he opened the silo doors he was puzzled that the lights were still on in the stairwell and went down the ladder to the level where he could turn the power on for the rest of the structure.
"Bruce?" he yelled.  "Dr. Banner?  Are you here?"
He went into the living quarters area, seeing the destroyed remains of the cot.  He picked up the pieces thinking at first that Bruce had tried to defend himself but realized the destruction was from the weight of too heavy a body sleeping on the cart.  Noticing the several pieces of torn cloth that he recognized as clothing worn by Bruce, he deduced what likely happened.  Returning to the main control room he sat in front of the radio connected to the network and turned it on, tuning it to Lord Buchanan's receiver.
"This is Silo 2 contacting Lord Buchanan, over," he said, then repeated it.
"Go ahead Silo 2, Buchanan here," came his voice.
"Buck, we have a problem," said Falcon.  "Bruce has turned back into the Giant.  He's gone from Silo 2.  He was staying all night trying to get a ham radio to work.  His cot is in pieces and there are the remains of his clothes on the floor. Over."
"Damn," said Buchanan.  "He was worried that he was spreading himself too thin and this would happen.  I'm hoping he returned to his hut.  I'll take a trip out there with a change of clothes.  Can you contact the Sorceress?  Perhaps she can put a new spell on him.  Over."
"Alright, I will," said Sam.  "This couldn't have happened at a worse time.  Queen Jane plans to return to the Kingdom of the Green Lands to prepare for her baby.  Those two handled the lion's share of the science.  What will we do without them?  Over."
"I know," said Buchanan.  "Let me try to talk to him.  Over and out."
Lord Falcon retuned the radio to the King's frequency and advised him what had happened.  Like Buchanan he was concerned for Bruce and promised to contact the Sorceress immediately.  In fact, after he sought her out he asked her to come with him to the Giant's hut..
"I'm not sure I can make him human again," she said.  "Something happened in his mind that changed him back in his sleep."
"I'm not asking you to change him back," said the King.  "In fact, I think it better we get him to accept his condition.  I want you to show him, truly show him what a difference he has made to our kingdom.  We need him, Sorceress.  We need his mind and his ability to teach.  He doesn't have to be human to do that."
She nodded and prepared to leave with the King.  His garrison commander saw the King preparing his horse, immediately asking the King how many guards he wanted.
"None," he said.  "I go to comfort a friend and assure him that I accept him as he is.  Sending guards with me would go against my intent.  I won't be alone, as the Sorceress accompanies me and we will meet Lord Buchanan there.  Trust me on this, please."
Almost two hours later they met Lord Buchanan at the path that led to the Giant's hut.  He led Bruce's two cows and his bull behind them and also a pack horse with food, clothes and Bruce's work.
"I thought if we couldn't convince him to return then I should at least bring him the comforts of living," said Buchanan.  "He is in his hut.  I saw the smoke from his chimney as I approached from my estate."
Together the three rode their horses towards the stone hut.  Surprisingly Magnus did not seem bothered as they got closer and for a moment Buchanan wondered if the Sorceress had cast a spell.  She smiled and said that she hadn't, almost as if she heard his thought as if he spoke out loud.  They tied their horses up and put the cows into one paddock and the bull into another.  Buchanan knocked on the door.
"Bruce, please come out," he said.
He could hear the Giant inside, moving, and knocked again.
"Please, friend, come out and talk to us," said Buchanan.
"Who else is with you?" growled Bruce.
"Come out and see," said Buchanan when the Sorceress put her finger to her lips for him not to tell.
With a sigh Bruce got up off his chair and came to the door, opening it wide.  "Your Majesty, Sorceress," he said, surprised.  "You came to see me?"
"Of course," said King Steven.  "When I heard what happened I wanted to be here for my friend, you, so that you knew this doesn't change how we see you, the real you.  You're a teacher, and a scientist and you've made a big difference to this kingdom.  The man on the outside is different but it is the man on the inside that we care about."
He came out into the sunshine with a sigh and noticed his cows and bull in their paddock.  "Yet it looks like you're expecting me to stay here," he said bitterly.
"No," said Buchanan.  "I only brought them if you proved to be stubborn enough not to listen to friends. I even brought your great clothes and food, including coffee, if you decided not to return with us.  I didn't want you to be without some comforts."
"And you, Sorceress," said Bruce, appraisingly.  "Were you going to try again to return me to the stature of a man?"
"Only if you wanted it," she said.  "I was asked to show you how important you are to all of us.  You are, you know.  It's why this version of you was stranded here so long ago.  You make a difference Bruce.  To all of us.  May I?"
She held her hands out to him in a gesture of requesting permission to touch him.  With his consent she positioned her petite frame in front of him and lifted her hands to his temple.  Then she began showing him his own memories of his time from when he was first befriended by the elder James Barnes, to when he helped protect Buchanan's lands from the attack by Lord Pierce.  That was followed by the faces of the people who turned to him for knowledge and instruction on the vast treasure trove of science that needed to be unlocked to face the asteroid threat.  She finished with the trust Buchanan had shown him when Ileana went into labour prematurely and his assistance at Livia's birth, as well as becoming her god parent at her christening.  When she was done she stepped back.
"Have I misrepresented anything?" she asked.  "Did what I show you proceed exactly as you remember?"
He nodded.  "I'm afraid," he admitted.  "Afraid of losing my temper and lashing out with my hand and hurting someone.  I was frustrated last night.  Jane and I spent hours trying to contact someone with the ham radio and all we got was radio silence.  Surely, there should have been someone who was still on the air."
"Maybe there was hundreds of years ago," said Buchanan.  "Maybe like the crew at Silo 2 they lost hope and gave up.  We know from the Mars books that some of our people made it to that planet.  Perhaps they are there still, looking at us through their telescopes and longing for the day they can return home.  Or perhaps they also gave up and perished on that alien world."
"The important thing is we're not giving up," said the King.  "Bruce, your knowledge gives us hope.  Against all odds our ancestors survived and reverted to an ancient system of government to build again.  We are at a crossroads now as we reclaim our lost knowledge but we need a teacher to understand it all and like it or not, you're the teacher.  Don't hide in this forest as Bruce the Giant again.  Take your place in our kingdom as Dr. Bruce Banner, scientist and teacher, friend to a king, many lords, ladies, and every subject that lives here."
Bruce smiled.  "You're as good a man as your namesake in my world, Steve," he said looking the King in the eye.  "He had a way of making you feel you could do the impossible.  Alright, I'll return to Buchanan's castle, since he already has furniture built to accommodate my XXXXL size.  You do, don't you?"
Buchanan nodded with a grin.  "I can easily have more built to accommodate you," he said.  "For now, I have clothes you can change into so you look the part of honoured teacher and scientist.  Let's go home, Bruce."
Banner took the clothes and went into his hut.  He came out a short time later looking more civilized.  He closed the door and took his cows and bull out of the paddock.  Then he looked at the three of them.
"Thank you," he said.  "I was feeling very low when I got here, like I had failed everyone.  I forgot that failure is a basic part of science.  It's how we learn.  I won't forget again."
"Good," said King Steven.  "Now the Sorceress and I are going to return to the Palace.  You may be interested to know that I will be receiving a delegation from our southern neighbours tomorrow.  The same ones that joined with Prince Loke to wage war against us.  The trade of coffee for precious metals has gone well and they are looking for more trade goods, like fine woven linens, wooden toys for their children, and radios.  I'm hoping they've done some digging themselves and have found scientific installations that can help all of us when we solve our asteroid problem.  We may come out and see you in a few days.  I'll radio if we do.  Farewell good friends.  Safe trip."
He and the Sorceress mounted their horses as Buchanan did the same.  They journeyed together to the path that split.   One pair went to the ravine while the others took the path towards the estate.  Buchanan and Bruce stopped once, availing themselves of the food stuffs that were brought in the event Bruce stayed at his hut.  They sat overlooking a small pond while Magnus and the livestock grazed on the sweet grass nearby.
"Magnus doesn't seem afraid of you anymore," said Buchanan.  "I noticed it when we arrived.  At first I thought the Sorceress had done something but she said she hadn't."
"Perhaps he senses something greater," said Bruce.  "I'm no longer afraid of myself.  That's why I lived out there away from everyone.  I was afraid of losing control and hurting someone.  Living as a man the past year has been good for me.  They'll have to get used to me like this but if your great horse can anyone can."
"You know, we could breed Magnus to a large mare," said Buchanan.  "After some careful breeding we may be able to get a horse big enough to carry you.  That would be an imposing sight."
"No thank you," laughed Bruce.  "I don't really want to learn to ride at my age.  I'm too old for that."
"How old are you?" asked Buchanan.
"In my world I was 56 when I found myself transported here," replied Bruce.  "I've been here at least 10 years easily so I guess I'm 66."
"You don't look it," declared Buchanan.  "Not even in your human state.  Perhaps your giant keeps you looking young."
After enjoying their break they began walking back to the estate and soon came to the first of many farms.  The farmers came out to their fences to greet Lord Buchanan as he passed.  They all recognized Bruce, asking if he would be looking like that from now on.  He and Buchanan took turns confirming it.  To a man the farmers just nodded their heads and turned back to their work.  When they approached the castle they looked at the north entrance then at the regular south entrance.
"I say we go in together," said Buchanan.  "If the horses react well then we know they have accepted you.  If they don't, I'll clear the north entrance for you."
Not really sure what to expect the two men entered the courtyard which had several horses being saddled.  As Magnus and Bruce's livestock walked in the other horses glanced at them and didn't react to Bruce at all.  He walked up the steps into the castle with Buchanan and turned back to look out over the courtyard.
"I guess I am home," said Bruce, with a small smile.
The two men walked inside to get his oversized furniture out of storage and placed in the largest bedroom again.  Ileana came out of the reception hall carrying Livia, who held her arms out, not to her father, but her transformed god father who gently held her as she laughed and babbled at him.  He was home indeed.

T.W. : Graphic descriptions of trauma, yelling cursing, Bruce Wayne is a trigger all on his own, descriptions of fear gas, falling, cursing, gore , panic attack described, childhood abuse, stalking eventual smut but much much later in the story, and slow burn. (I think that's it if not let me know.)
summery: Carter was odd child. Bruce always knew she was special even if he never showed it. she was psychokinetic. psychokinesis, also called telekinesis, in parapsychology, the action of mind on matter, in which objects are supposedly caused to move or change as a result of mental concentration upon them or on a living being.

As She enters the hallway. She can hear the yelling of  Dick and Bruce Echoing all throughout the manor. She slowly enters Bruce's study. her green eyes scanning the office.  She pushes on one of the smaller bookshelves and it spins as she enters the dark hallway.  It's cold and moist in the area. The Familiar Breeze of the Batcave has so many memories both good and bad. She wishes she didn't feel bad for leaving Bruce alone . He always had Alfred but I still wasn't the same. She walks down the flight of stairs, the rickety metal giving her Nostalgia as when she first found the place. She Walks to the upper level with all the different bat uniforms? Suits? She didn't know what they were anymore to Bruce; this was his  life's work . She walked down the stairs to the Batmobile. She ran her fingers down  sleek black paint Of the Dodge Charger like car. She turns to the training area where her dick and Bruce have had so many memories mainly of her getting her ass kicked but it was still entertaining to Think of all the times her face was met with the hard plastic of the mats almost made her laugh she wished she kept count She walks over to where the weapons are kept and runs her hands along the The bat shaped throwing stars And sharp knives All of which she probably have been cut with more times than she can count mostly because of her clumsiness but that's beside the point. She walks over to the back computer, the large screens showing the bat symbol and various small criminals that  Bruce has been tracking down lately. She enters Bruce's password; he still doesn't know that she knows what it is. She hacked it a while ago after her and dick We're looking for a criminal that left for  bludhaven.  She is  Met  with a picture of her Bruce Alfred and dick all with Stern faces as cold as ice. She frowns. She hated the picture of her. she  fell out of a building straight through the glass by the Scarecrow. He found her worst fear Heights . she doesn't even know her worst fear now. The Press wanted pictures the day after of the new Happy Family due to the adoption papers finally being finalized.  she was in so much pain she could barely stand up that morning to get dressed under the black dress she had on wear layers and layers of gauze and  bandages She hated that damn picture so much all she wanted to do was lay in bed and cry it took dick  an hour to help her stop crying from the pain of having to sit up luckily the only thing that was injured was her back  it suffered a few damaged vertebrae in her upper spine luckily she was still able to walk; barely though. After taking a final look around the cave, she had so many memories and she turned around and left all of those memories to be put behind her. Dick is going to become a police officer; as shocking as that is and I'm finishing school .a new place a new town where nobody knew who she was who her adopted father was no one will treat her differently because she was made of money a new start she finally understood what dick was talking about being a kid her whole life she was taught that she needed to be prim and proper well the part of her life that she remembers the part where Bruce saved her all of  her Galas that Bruce forced her and Dick to Endure. This is meant to be a new beginning as dick puts it. She needs to leave this life behind her but she doesn't know if she can. She has to do it though, for Dick.

Pinned Post:
Sato / 18 / she/her. I have moved on past an MS paint icon to a photo of myself.
Owner of an enterprise originating from New Jersey trying to get said company settled into where the Nameless City used to be, now called Gotham.
First thing that greeted me was some ugly Gothic tower from a big-shot company planted right where I died.
Rude.
Anyway, it's been an utter pain in the butt.
----
OOC:
Sato finally gets her own Tunglr blog. Only took the timeline to break to do so. This is the "A Lilium At the End of the World " timeline!
She's the only one that remembers the "Dream's Descent" timeline, given her identity as < Myriad Lights >.
The Dream doesn't exist here because in their first confrontation / the Dream's betrayal, Sato sacrifices her Spark of Godhood to banish it for good. She dies afterwards but not before she manages to set up contingences.
As a result, there's quite a few changes in the new timeline.
No gods, no masters.

If you need things tagged, please tell me so I can do so. I will try to preemptively tag for common triggers, but I can’t account for everything.
Given this is an in-character blog, most posts will be short. However, face-to-face will likely be multi-para length.
As I'm double-downing on the Gotham setting, Sato will not know Bruce Wayne is Batman and in fact will be highly resistant to the idea. To her, it's like hearing Elon Musk declaring he's Batman (not to mention other rich people claiming to know or assist the superhero). She doesn't particularly care about supervillainry and superheroism beyond it hurting her bottom line as she's a mostly normal person now.
------
Name: Sato
Moniker: koi, Myriad Lights
Age: 18
Pronouns: She/her
Personality: Determined, she's always been determined. Sure, she's a bit of a ditz and a blabbermouth - okay, more than a bit, but she's always been sincere. Her desires, her dealings with people, her affection.
She still thinks people can be better and be happy, so long as they have the environment to do so.
Problem is she's living in a world in late-stage capitalism, where companies, now giant insatiable organisms of their own, try and grow uncontrollably with no one to check and balance them out. It was like that in the prior world too, but it was so much worse here.
Of course, she already has a lot going on like trying to find her friend who is off god knows where, not to mention the others who are probably living very different lives in this new timeline. And now she has to tackle an enormous societal problem that encompasses the world?
Well, she'd know Levant would want her to do it. And the other factor is that she maaaaay have accidentally blown herself up in a fit of fury against the Dream, so she isn't really a Goddess anymore. But she could still accumulate Faith - and with it, she'll be able to do something to help save Levant when the opportunity reveals itself.
Furthermore, she needs to find the rest of the Nameless Church somehow. Find Lillian - or is it Chi again - especially - Lev would want that. She suspects Mirielle and Sasha escaped the timeline. Well, she knows. She had to literally push Mirielle out of the timeline before she strained it further trying to save her.
In any case, the best way to achieve her goals was to make a massive company on her own - money and resources to find the Nameless Church and Faith to gain the power to find Levant. She knows what major stocks will get big - she also knows all the market trends like Crypto and NFTs - and knows what to avoid too like Mt. Gox and Enron. And while she's at it, she'll be doing something about that rampant capitalism destroying people's lives thing.
If she can't kill it from the outside (without inciting mass deaths anyway), she could try to do it from the inside instead. No, she doesn't have a plan. She doesn't even know how to run a company, but she can learn.
What better way to gather Faith is to have a whole bunch of people grateful to you for providing a decent livelihood in this world?

Thoughts on Batman Arkham Origins
Main Story
Opening is nice
Black Mask before Jason? That's interesting
Killer Croc helping Black Mask was a surprise
I don't think Roman threatening Waylon is good idea
It feels like Roman's normal voice is higher and he tries to make it deeper when intimidating people
Well at least Batman didn't let Croc die
I'm going to add some new characters
Also Bane wasn't originally in Gotham?
Of course, it was Nigma behind the towers, it's funny that Batman guessed his name
Can Batman stop choking people?
Gotta admit Electrocutioner has a style.
Aight nevermind that was hilariously lame lmao
Tracey is kinda cute
Yo Candy 👀
Falcone wanting his son back is somehow heartwarming
Hi Slade, didn't see you since Teen Titans
His fight actually looks interesting, the wacking is kinda funny
Love how confused he is by Batman
Penguin is a sleaz in this version
Anarky is like "We live in society"; nice voice though
No one's believes Roman is dead but its a nice mystery;
Ooh, first time he heard of the Joker
I find it cool that Anarky was impressed Batman saved those places; didn't expect him to be called a kid, how old is he?
The thing is, he is right in what he is saying, but it's the way he wants to solve these problems it the issue
Him wanting Batman to mentor him my heart! Baby, no, please just learn from your mistakes
Batman was right to beat these cops
Hey Barbara! Interestingly, Jim didn't like Batman at the beginning
When it was said there was piece of white clothing I knew it was Roman
Ok didn't expect the guy to force a Roman hand in killing his girlfriend, that was evil
The way that Joker is once again the main villain should be annoying, especially with the premise they set up, but I think they did it in a good way; it's honesty cool since it's the first time Batman had heard of him
The Mad Hatters bunnies 💀
The fucking sir bit lol, I would love to annoy him; his reason for controlling people is very interesting
Of course he fucking choked him
Wonderland looks cool
"Drained a bit of that willpower of yours" He just went through a fucking door, calm down
He really traumatized her huh?
The girl is laughing, definitely Joker gas
Wait, that's Joker in costume?! Holy shit he is amazing voice acting
And he just beat the shit out of the Roman!
(Since it was Joker from the beginning I can't use it for characterization? )
Is Shiva with Al Ghoul?
Of course Roman has heart problems because of his anger lol
He looks kinda nice tied up
FOR FUCK SAKE BRUCE STOP BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF LYING MAN
Copperhead scared the shit out of me
Ok that was torture, Batman wanted to torture a guy. BTAS would be so angry at his other self
Wait, is her venom is like a fear toxin?
Alfred's speech was sad.
The guilt goes hard in this
The problem with Deadshot is apparently dude is an imposter? I don't know how to characterize him.
Never mind, he wasn't in the game long enough.
Joker still doing BM impression is hot
Electrocutioner just playing a video game, dude really is asking to die
The guy who voices Joker does an excellent job, why were people complaining about him?
Yep expected it
Firefly looks cool
Bane is badass
Batman was allowed to beat Jokers ass
The Bane pose is seriously iconic
Of course Joker laughs when falling to death
Joker not understanding why Batman saved is very nice
Joker to Blackgate? That's gonna be interesting
Wait it's Harley?! But they meet in Arkham
The imagination is seriously weird but fits
Joker saying Batman changed his life is… interesting
Oh, his Red Hood backstory
Oh it's pretty gay not gonna lie
Wait, she thought he was talking about her while he was talking about Batman lmao
Alfred is trying to be a good father, fuck off Bruce
The Nigmas passwords are amazing
The cop just going 'Yup' kills me
Bane knowing who Batman is a nice twist
I get why Gordon doesn't trust Batman but he is helping with bombs, come on man
Aww they started to like each other
Alfred use the shotgun
I know he won't die because he is in other games but it's sad seeing Bruce actually be desperate
Looks like gloves were a good idea
"Don't drink and drive, you'll kill someone " "Yeah yeah what are you in for?" "Manslaughter " that got a chuckle out of me
He already has Harley around his finger, don't like how they changed how they met but at least her voice isn't so annoying
Why the fuck does Joker wants to die so badly?
"Maybe you shouldn't move?" Shoots them; Good job Jim!
Gordon is a good man
And that's how he earned respect from Jim, good job Bat; also it's nice for him to ask for help where the fuck did go in the future?
I love how Gordon just fucking hits sniper with a bat
It's fun; although Barbara should have looked up to her dad and just have Bat as inspiration for her suit but eh
Are they teasing Suicide Squad?
Initiation DLC
It's nice seeing what League was like and what they teached but it just fighting, boring.
Cold, Cold Heart
Now THIS, this is what I'm talking about
Love the opening, the speech was so fake
Didn't expected Penguin to mix
The fact that Bruce actually has respect for Ferris will make learning the truth pretty fun
The new suit looks goofy
Lmao the callback to future roof dropping with the Diller
The realization in Bat voice when he finds out what happened, perfect
Why did Freeze freeze Nora in her dress? She looks beautiful but it doesn't seem practical
She looks beautiful
Overall
Enjoyed it, might actually be my favorite game (and since I know few plot points from Knight it might stay that way).

Like A Drama - 7
Arriving in front of Wayne Manor, Marinette hurriedly let go of the vigilante, her cheeks the same color as his suit. Lewis grinned widely at the two idiots pointedly avoiding looking at the other.
Just as the pair were about to say something, the front door opened to reveal a tall, elderly butler.
"Miss Marinette, Master Lewis, welcome back," he greeted, interrupting the ongoing awkward standoff.
"See you two around," Red Robin said quickly before zooming out of view on his bike.
The twins spent the rest of the time until dinner in Lewis' room, surrounded by the ham-bots. Carl was in the kitchen helping Alfred cook the meal.
Dinner that night was a more awkward affair than usual. The rest of the Waynes kept shooting each other looks when they thought the twins weren't looking. Their father kept staring at them and opening his mouth as if wanting to say something before cutting himself off.
Finally, before dessert was served, Bruce said with his ever-beaming smile, "So how was your day, Marinette? Lewis?"
"It was fine. We had milkshakes at a diner," Lewis said tersely.
"We're just worried," Dick tried to explain for his emotionally-stunted father. "We heard you were caught up in a robbery."
"Yeah, squirts, and we had to hear about it from someone else, too," Jason butt in.
"It was nothing. We were fine, and we told Alfred afterward."
"Indeed, they did," Alfred suddenly appeared at the doorway. "And, might I suggest, Master Bruce, that you move on to your better news, hm?"
"Right, of course, Alfred, here," their father handed over a black card to each of the twins. "All of the children have one, and these ones are yours. The password is your birthday, but feel free to change that."
"...A bank card?" Lewis asked. Marinette could see whatever faith her twin still had in their birth father rapidly fading.
"Yes," their father once again gave them that goddamn press-ready smile. "And, there's something else, but that will have to wait for after dinner."
For the rest of the meal, both twins were silent among the chatter of their siblings. Marinette grabbed her brother's hand and gave him a shaky smile in support. None of the world's greatest detectives missed this gesture, but no one moved to comment on it.
Afterward, Bruce together with Dick and Tim led the twins to the building behind the manor.
"This is the annex," Tim introduced. "There's a gym and a lounge here on the ground floor, but from the second floor up are each of our private hobby rooms."
"It took a while to get some of the items from abroad, but I can assure you, all of these are state of the art, especially yours, Lewis," Bruce smiled at them, but Lewis didn't react to his practiced grin. Marinette gave a very hollow-sounding laugh in response.
"Thank you," she gave their father the same grin back.
On the fourth floor, Dick opened the doors to two opposite rooms. On the left was a room in soft pinks and whites with several mannequins and a wide table inside. A door on the side was left ajar, showing bolts and bolts of fabrics. In the right room, various power tools were hung on the wall. Another wall was coated completely in chalkboard paint, waiting for the teen's next big idea. The connecting room revealed empty shelves ready to be filled by its future occupant.
Both rooms had a small bed in a corner next to a kitchenette with a brand new coffee machine. "The coffee was my idea," Tim smiled at the two, though his eyes kept straying to the ravenette. "You both looked like the type to live off of the stuff."
"Thank you," the twins told the young man, but this time, it was completely genuine. They could feel the co-CEO's sincere welcome for them.
Tim moved his hand to the back of his neck, but as he did that, he brushed the back of Marinette's arm, and she froze. Tim turned red and looked anywhere but at the ravenette, but Marinette stood stock still, eyes wide.
It was the first time Tim had physically touched her, but that wasn't what had the teen shocked. It was the familiarity of his life signature; it was lively and strong and had the same aura as coffee beans.
Oh.
It was something she was in contact with just a few hours earlier.
Tim Drake was Red Robin.
Lewis noticed his sister's odd reaction and pulled the attention away from her.
"I think we'll stay here for now. Thank you, we really appreciate the gifts." Immediately, he pulled Marinette into his room and slammed the door shut in the trio's face before they could reply, locking it.
"What's wrong?"
Paranoid, Marinette dragged her twin over to the inner room before whispering in as low a voice as she could manage, "Tim is Red Robin."
"What-"
"Holy crap, Lu, but wait, if Tim is Red Robin then that means he's close with the other vigilantes, but we haven't seen him with any friends from Gotham, so, that would mean that our dad is Batman, maybe! Wait, is that what everyone has been keeping from us?" Marinette said in an anxiety-fueled rapid fire.
Lewis squeezed Marinette's face, interrupting her tirade, "Mar, breathe. Now, how did you find out about Tim?"
"His life signature. It's the exact same as Red Robin."
"When he brushed against you?" Lewis said in a fact-like tone. "Well... that changes things."
"Yeah..." Marinette trailed off. That would explain why their siblings would shift the conversation whenever they enter a room. It might also explain why their father always put up a facade in front of them.
In the middle of the silence, Plagg phased out of Marinette's bag, "Why don't you get them back?"
"Ooh, yes! A prank!" Duusu popped out of Lewis' bird's nest of a hairstyle.
"No!" Tikki yelled at the two kwamis.
"Come on, sugar cube," the cat kwami spun around Marinette's head where Nooroo also popped out from. "It'll be fun. And, don't you think Nooroo and Duusu deserve some laughs after the last few years?"
The two kwamis both looked at the creation goddess pleadingly.
"Fine." After a few beats, Tikki gave in, much to the pleasure of the other three kwamis in the room. "But no going too far!"
"Please, sugar cube," Plagg drawled. "Going too far is my thing. The kids'll be fine."
