See the thing about the “broken vase” dilemma at the end of the Interlude quest made me take that as foreshadowing for future events to come where inconsistencies in what’s /remembered/ to what’s /seen/ just catch up eventually. 

Like the golden feather Wanderer has on will be something Ei and Miko will recognize because that’s something only The Shogun can give out.

Then there’s Mona who can read constellations and if and when should she ever encounter Wanderer again and look into his constellation she’ll more than likely see things just aren’t adding up either.
