Another day, another visit. Amity looked to the clock, turned, and walked off. "Just got here." Hunter looked to Amity before passing her.

Amity walked to the giant doors, Luz sitting on a bench, legs swinging under her, basket in hand. Pretending not to notice her, Amity kept walking down the hall. Yet Luz didn't notice. Pausing, Amity turned and walked down the hall again.

Yet again, Luz didn't notice. Amity cleared her throat, walking over to Luz. The human perked, and smiled widely. Softening, Amity hummed, "Still not leaving me alone are you?"

"Nope!" Luz giggled. "I know you love me~"

Amity reddened at the words, ears flapping, "How utterly wrong." Amity mumbled, brushing back her hair.

Luz cooed, standing up and holding out the basket, "I made more empanadas for you! You probably burned my other basket, so I'll just leave--"

"I still have it. The basket is made of non-flammable wood, Human." Amity blurted, taking the basket. "The food inside was burned."

Luz paused, gently taking the basket back, confusing Amity. "You could have told me you didn't like them.." Luz mumbled. "And maybe a little nicer.."

Amity tilted her head to the side. Why would she not like them? They were warm, had cheese and meat, what was there not to like? A few had burned when she tried to warm them up, not knowing what temperature would fit and– Luz didn't know that.

The human nervously smiled, "No gift today then, sorry." Luz stepped back. "I'll..I'll make something else next time."

Without saying another word, Luz left. Uh-Oh. "My empanadas.." Hunter whispered from around the corner.

Two days later, Luz came in the afternoon, Amity's lunch break. "Heyo!" Luz smiled, basket in hand. "Brought you lunch~"

Amity turned, smiling slightly as she examined Luz's attire. Dark blue overalls with a frog on the chest pocket, a white flannel like shirt with a collar, and a blue hair pin pinning her hair behind her ear. "Hm.." Amity hummed.

She missed the cat ears. But this was just as rewarding. "Here you go~" Luz cooed, holding out the basket.

Amity hesitated. There were empanadas. She took the basket, setting it on the table and pulling out the small box of delicious empa– MY EMPANADAS! Luz took the box, "Sorry, forgot you didn't like these--"

"I do!" Hunter snatched them. "Thank you, farewell!"

Amity clenched her fist. "Oh, at least those won't go to waste. Unlike the last batch.."

'What? You wasted my delicious empanadas??' Amity huffed, growling softly before shaking her head. "Human." She tipped her head forward before walking away.

Luz drew back, lowering her head. The basket was left alone, free for everyone who wasn't Amity to take. Luz bit her lip, flinching when she felt the scar, "Ouch.."

Amity rushed over from around the corner, lifting Luz's head up, "Are you hurt? Human, are you injured anywhere?"

Luz shook her head, leaning into Amity's touch. The witch flinched, and stepped back. Amity pulled a face of disgust, Luz letting out a soft hum. "Sorry--" Luz gulped, wiping her face quickly. "Sorry, sorry--" She turned, scampering off.

"Human--" Amity tensed. "Luz-"

Luz did not return for her second basket that week.

Tuesday, four days after the incident, Luz returned. With a box of cookies. "Human." Amity perked, her worries drifting away. "You returned."

Luz nodded, walking past Amity into the break room kitchen, setting the cookies down. "You don't eat what I give you, so I just figured I'll give it to the guards." Luz shrugged. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable the other day, Amity..I..I shouldn't have done that, and I'll stop bringing you food if you don't like it.."

No more free food? Scratch that-- No more delicious free food from Luz? Amity, speak now or forever hold peace without Luz's food. "Human, about the food.."

"It was gross, I know." Luz air pat Amity's shoulder. "I'll see you tommorow so I can bug you, hm?" She smiled, then walked past her.

Amity reached back, grabbing Luz's wrist. She pulled the human back, and caressed her cheek, "You were leaning into my palm..The other day I mean. You never do that. What changed?"

Luz softened, biting her lip and leaning into Amity's palm. "Because you never care for me as much as you did that day.." Luz sighed, kissing Amity's palm. "You push me away, and that's okay. But when you don't, I always forget you hate me, and everytime I wish you would stop disliking me.."

Amity moved her other hand up, gently caressing Luz's face. She was warm. And squishy. Amity squished Luz's face for the fun of it, earning a cute adorable giggle from the human. "Do..You want me to do this more often..?" Amity asked, ears flapping.

Luz nodded, sighing quietly and nuzzling Amity's right palm. Though it had light cuts, it didn't bother Luz. "Poor Witch of Mine.." Luz kissed one of Amity's old scars on her palm. "They work you too hard.."

"..Luz.." Amity swallowed. "I do like your empanadas..I realized when you left that you must have thought I burned all of the ones you had given to me. I only burned four, to test out how hot it needed to be..I do eat what you give me, because you know what I like and what will keep me energized..Your food tastes wonderful, and I..Apologize, for not expressing it sooner."

Luz perked, "You do like my food?"

"Yes. I do." Amity leaned in. "You enjoy kissing my scars, Human of Mine, now it's my turn."

"Wait, what-" Luz flushed red, then giggled when Amity kissed a faint scar on her chin, then over her eye. "That tickles!"

Amity moved her hands down to grab Luz's waist, holding her gently and pressing her lips against the Human's. Then she did it again. And again. And a few more times before settling Luz against her. "I do not dislike you, Luz. While I act as if I want you to leave and never return, I look forward to your visits..And would ask if you could make me lunch tommorow.."

Luz giggled, wrapping her arms around Amity, nuzzling into her chest, smiling softly. "Anything for my grumpy kitty."

How do Valerie & Elle fit into the True Rivals AU? I honestly think that Val would still be a problem in that Vlad didn't really have anything to do with having the dogs at the kennel euthanized.

So, Cujo would still look for his squeaky, Danny would still try to stop him, Cujo would still mess up Damien's job & get him fired, Valerie would still blame Danny & try to get revenge. The question is will she end up being a self-made ghost hunter (maybe she could go more Supernatural-esque old school about it)? Will Vlad still approach her? (I doubt it because he doesn't actually wanna make things difficult for Danny here.) Will it be Marc instead (could be interesting if she develops a small crush on him, but he isn't interested)? Or will she train under the Fentons as a permanent Ghost-kateer & subsequently outshine them both entirely?

I'm honestly unsure how Ellie could fit in because I don't see this version of Vlad or Marcus trying to do the cloning Danny thing.

I feel like for this to happen, it'd literally need to be an accident. Except, I don't know how that could happen.

Maybe they were trying to clone, but more in a scientific discovery type of way & Danny's DNA somehow is used instead of, like, an animal?

That's the only way I can see it happening & the outcome would be very different. Like, yeah, maybe Danny thinks that it's part of some scheme, but it isn't & the whole family really does care.

I can still see Vlad trying to somewhat use her to convince Danny to join him in a similar way to how he uses Marc, but he does ultimately love them both here.

I also see him putting more effort into her name here because of this, so she's likely named Eleanor, Elle or Ellie for short, from the very beginning.

Either way, the attempt to obtain the mid-morph whatever is a very real attempt to save her, so hopefully Danny wouldn't be quite so obstinate here.

So, she wouldn't go traveling unless something super bad happened.

For Cal I like the idea that Vlad DOES approach her and give her ghost hunting gear but not to cause problems for Danny- to ease the pressure of protecting the whole of Amity. She would still be a little bit of a problem because to her there are no differences in ghosts- all ghosts bad- so Vlad would eventually have to tell her to leave Phantom alone. I think it’d be funny if he tacked on the Plasmiuses and Val is all confused like “theres more than one?” “Yes, there’s three. Oh- and avoid the red dragon at all costs.” “Why?” “She can and will eat you.” “She?” “ANYWAY-“

I’ve actually played with the idea of Val liking Marcus and I like it a lot! Buuut I gotta admit I like Val and Danny more. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Hunter falling for the Hunted dynamic- so maybe her little crush would be a brief thing, something that stirs up Danny to take action. There’s not much he can do about his sister but he can turn up his game with Val. Or maybe it’s not Marc she has a crush on but his ghost half, Alucard? That could be interesting? I mean he’s a flirt in both his forms.

As for Elle, you’re right, Vlad would have no reason to make her intentionally so on accident would be the best way. Maybe he and Marc are trying to clone ghosts- perhaps as a food source? So they don’t have to hunt for ectoplasm, they’d just have a little coop of blob ghosts. And while they were conducting the experiments to clone a blob ghost a vial of Danny’s ectoplasm was used instead. The experiment was left to germinate over night but come next morning there is a whole child that’s Gwen’s age. And I like the name Eleanor- it fits with Guinevere and Marcus so she would def be named that. I too feel that Vlad would still use her to convince Danny to join him but it’d be in the same way he’s using Marc, and he’d be far less degrading when she eventually fails. That’s his lab accident baby and he loves her. (Thinking about it- Elle and Gwen would just be MENACES to their father and brother, they know better than to mess with mom)

When Cal-Amity realizes she can't treat Luz how she treats The Emperor (quiet, ignorant, 'I don't care and secretly hope you get lost and never found') She tries to make it up to her. @minlein 's CAL-Amity AU.

Luz smiled warmly at Amity, twirling around in her dress, "Isn't so pretty? Eda bought it for me!"

Amity glared at the dress, 'It's gorgeous, you look gorgeous. This food also looks gorgeous. Gorgeous is a stupid word.' Amity shook her head, what was she thinking?

Luz drew back, "You don't like it?"

Amity jumped, "Whatever you say Luz."

The human cowered, "Okay.." Luz hummed, tapping her fingers together. "Uh- I should get going-"

"But you just arrived." Amity stood. "You stay for an hour, you've only been here ten minutes."

Luz shook her head, "Not today. I'll be back tommorow with your lunch, okay?"

Amity hummed, "Do whatever you like."

"Yep, that's my Amity.." Luz mumbled. "Can I get a hug goodbye this time? You promised.."

Amity scowled, 'Of course you can. Why are you asking, Idiot? It's like you're trying to act stupid.' Amity huffed. "Do what you want.."

Luz flinched at the tone, Amity softening. Oops, she made Luz flinch again. Back to day zero. Amity made a mental note to erase the number three on her whiteboard, and replace it with zero. Luz stepped forward, Amity anticipating a nice warm hu– Luz pat Amity's shoulder, "I'll see you tommorow."

Amity blinked. What the Titan, Luz. "Grr..rrr.." Amity growled softly, she had wanted a hug! 'Stupid Human.'

Luz stepped back, smiled and waved, walking off. Hunter handed her a basket on her way out, walking over to Amity, "Why is she leaving so soon?" Hunter asked.

"I don't know." Amity scratched her cheek. "She probably saw your ugly face and wanted to leave."

Hunter rose a brow, "What happened?"

Amity huffed, "I just told her to do what she wanted, now she's leaving."

Hunter sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "Tell me what happened, maybe you can get her to stay for two hours tomorrow instead."

The following day, Amity had been told to not, treat Luz like Emperor Belos, and to treat her normally. "I hate you." Amity blurted.

Luz jumped back, holding the basket of treats tightly, "What?"

Amity tensed. That's how she treated normal people- Was this not what Hunter meant? Stupid Hunter. This wasn't how to treat Luz, apparently. "Uh-" Amity cleared her throat. "I hate you?"

Luz exhaled sharply, furrowing her brows, "Hmph-" Luz dropped the basket, turning and stomping off.

Amity stumbled forward, reaching for– "Luz-"

"Save it- I'll see you tommorow-" Luz wiped her face, picking up the pace.

Amity growled, "FINE! IF YOU'RE GOING TO ACT LIKE THAT THEN DON'T COME BACK!!" She yelled.

Hunter slapped her back, "What the hell is wrong with you? You can't just tell the person who loves you, you hate them!" He picked up the basket. "What are you thinking??"

"You said to treat her like a normal person!"

"I said to treat her normally!" Hunter waved his hand. "Amity, you can't treat Luz like that. Treat her like your friend! Treat her like me!"

"I want you dead!"

"Okay I was a bad example!!" Hunter groaned, lightly slapping his cheek, then Amity's hand as she offered to slap him too. "Treat Luz, like you did when she got the scar."

Amity drew back, "But.."

"If you can't do that, then don't expect her to come back.." Hunter handed her the basket. "I'll see you for our shift.."

Luz set down the basket, stepping back and smiling, "Empanadas."

Amity stepped towards it, picking it up and stepping back. "..Thank you.." Amity gulped.

Luz nodded, sitting down eight feet away from Amity. "So tell me about your shift yesterday."

Wow. Luz really got over what Amity said. 'Don't cry don't cry don't cry don't cry-' Luz cleared her throat, signaling to the nice chair Amity had behind her.

The guard stepped forward, sitting by Luz, setting the basket down. Confused, she moved away from Amity. The guard huffed, shuffling closer to Luz. "Quit moving." Amity uttered.

Luz froze. "Yes ma'am-"

Amity pulled the basket closer, taking out a small container with utensils on top. "My shift was adequate. I stayed by the emperor for seven hours, ate your food for thirty minutes, slept with the blanket you quilted for me for an hour. Then I woke up and fought Hunter because he looked at me funny."

Luz took in a sharp breath when Amity leaned against her, "Of course you did."

Amity frowned, sighing, "..Luz. I am..Sorry. For what I said to you. I don't know how I'm supposed to act around you. I'm tired. I'm stressed. And you always seem to find a way to get me to smile. I've realized that I must be difficult for you to handle, and I'm..I'm sorry you have to deal with me."

Luz nodded, "It's okay. I'll still love you, and you'll still hate me. Nothing new."

Amity moved away, looking to Luz, "I hurt your feelings yesterday because of what I said. It was rude. Hunter told me to treat you normally. And I treated you how I treat normal people. Luz, you are not normal."

"Uhm. Okay. You didn't have to say it like that--" Luz mumbled, turning away.

Amity took a bite of her side dish before setting it down, pulling Luz into her lap. "You are abnormal. And that is the best thing to be. You deserve better. I'll work to be that better. Please. Keep coming. I..I miss you even when you are here.."

Luz perked, "Is..The Great Amity, saying please?"

Amity nodded, holding Luz tightly, "Please. Don't leave me. I want..My Luz.."

The human flushed, then crossed her arms, "I am still mad about you yelling at me not to come back. And about the dress.."

Amity drew back, "You looked gorgeous in the dress, I told you several times."

"Nu-uh! You shook your head and said, 'Do whatever you want.'" Luz sassed.

Amity lowered her head, "I did say that..I'm sorry, I meant to say you were gorgeous."

"..And for telling me not to come back..?"

Amity pulled Luz's head down to her shoulder, rubbing her back, "Never come back..If you're not bringing food too."

Luz snorted, laughing and hugging Amity back tightly, "Good thing I always do!"

Amity smiled softly, blushing when Luz's bright smile gave her manerflies (butterflies). "Ah.." Amity gently grabbed Luz's chin. "The Light of My Life."

Cal-Amity falls asleep in the break room, Luz shows up to be her pillow. @minlein 's CAL-Amity AU, many of their posts have inspired these-

Luz smiled, lowering her head to meet Amity's focused gaze. "Is it good?"

"Mm." Amity hummed, bringing the fork close and biting the enchilada.

Luz giggled, "I'm glad."

Amity's ears lightly flapped; It was easy for Luz to understand Amity, and that made loving her too hard not to do. "Lunch was appreciated, Human." Amity closed the container, wiping her lip.

"Do you want me to bring the same thing tomorrow or something new?" Luz gently took the container, sliding it into her basket and pulling something new out. "You've been working hard, here's your treat."

Amity lit up, eagerly opening the container, "Hm?"

"It's called a concha. Or sweet bread. It was my first time making it, so I hope you like it.."

Was that a challenge? Amity pulled out a slice, taking a bite. 'This is..' Amity shoved it in her mouth, taking another slice, biting it and quickly eating it. "Gwamazing.."

Luz smiled brightly, "Really?! I-I'll bring you more tomorrow-" A bell chimed, Luz getting up. "That's my cue- I-I'll see you tommorow Amity!"

The guard stood, taking the final slice of sweet bread and eating it. "Mm."

Luz took the container and closed it, sliding it into her basket, pulling out a bottle, "There's a little packet of flavoring that gives you energy, you can put as much or as little as you want so it tastes good." Luz air pat Amity's shoulder and scurried off. "Bye Amity!"

. . .The following afternoon, Luz showed up, but couldn't seem to find Amity. "Hunter." Luz poked his back. "Where's Amity?"

"Sleeping. You should come back later." He looked to Luz.

"You know I won't." Luz elbowed him. "Take me to her, please?"

Hunter sighed, waving a guard down, explaining softly to him if he could take his place for a short amount of time so he could help the annoying– The human. Hunter guided Luz down the halls, taking her to a room, opening the door. "Careful, she kicks."

Luz nodded, thanking Hunter and entering the room, closing the door behind herself. The room was dim, a candle in the corner lit up. Luz set the basket down, noticing that Amity, didn't have a pillow. There weren't any pillows in here, actually.

Humming, Luz walked closer, whispering to Amity as she lifted her head, shuffling closer and resting Amity's head on her thigh. The witch winced, squirming and nuzzling Luz's thigh, sighing. "No te preocupes, Amor." Luz hushed, brushing Amity's hair back. "I've got your back." Luz felt her lip. "Just like you had mine."

When Luz allows CAL-Amity to be weak, saying all the right things, and not stepping outside of the boundaries, Amity says how grateful she is.. @minlein 's CAL-Amity AU once again!

"So how's the food~" Luz cooed, lowering her head to meet Amity's gaze.

The witch merely hummed softly, taking another bite. Luz smiled, "I'm glad to hear that then! If, and only if you can- Can you wash the dishes for me? They'll start to stink up if they don't get cleaned. If not, please ask Hunter to take care of it." Luz pat Amity's shoulder.

Tensing, Amity drew back, tilting her head slightly. "..Thanks..For dinner.." Amity mumbled.

Luz softened, "Anytime Amity..What can I make you for lunch tomorrow, hm?"

Amity paused to think, mostly about the warmth that- Oh, the warmth on her shoulder is gone now. "Empanadas, eight of them, four cheese, two bean, and two egg."

Luz mumbled that several times to herself, nodding, "Okay! Feel free to take your dessert now, I have to go!" Luz took her jacket and gloves. "Bye Amity! I'll see you tommorow!"

"Good riddance!" Amity teased.

Luz smiled, Amity drawing back slightly at the change. That was not..A happy smile.. Hunter walked over, whistling as he reached for Amity's basket. She pulled her staff from her space, holding it against Hunter's neck, "Go after the human." Amity spoke. "Make sure she makes it home safely."

Hunter rolled his eyes, "You don't even like her-"

"I said go after her." Amity hissed. "Don't let her get hurt or it's your life on the line.."

. . . .

The following afternoon, Luz came back, smiling brightly when she laid eyes on her cleaned tupperware. "Thank you so much Amity!" Luz took the basket, offering the new one.

"Hm.." Amity nodded, taking the basket.

She looked up at the clocks, ears slanting. Luz noticed, glancing back at the time. "Oh I'm sorry--" Luz lightly hit her head. "It's Thursday. You have lunch much later.."

Amity shook her head, "The Golden Guard is taking over for now, he's not off duty til we switch." Amity turned and began walking down the hall.

Luz quickly followed, Amity walking down the similar halls to a break room where several guards were sleeping. Amity guided Luz past them and into a room with her name carved on the door. Luz entered, Amity closing the door behind her. "Ooo~" Luz cooed.

Amity pulled an empanada out of the tupperware inside the basket, taking a, very noticeable, sad face. Well, she looked sad. She was zoning out, and preferred to be left alone when she ate lunch. Dinner was fine, but lunch was her only 'me time.' Luz picked up on it immediately, walking back to the door, "Call me in when you're done, okay?"

The witch, perked. "Ah..Okay.." Amity nodded.

Luz caught onto things alot. That was nice. She knew when to leave. Luz opened the door and stepped out, closing it behind herself. Quietly, Amity ate, content with the fillings she decided. When the food settled a little, she drank some water, and cleaned the mess, she called Luz back in. "Yes, that's why I make Amity food." Luz nodded.

"Human.." Amity uttered.

"Can I know what's inside? She's been waking up and I think I'll need some of that." The guard scratched their head.

"Human.."

"Protiens! Like cockatrice, sea cow- Beans and eggs work well too!"

"..Luz.." Amity gently tugged at her sleeve.

The human turned, smiling warmly, "What's up Darling?"

Amity drew back at the pet name, ears flicking, "Anyways.." Amity cleared her throat. "You can come back in.."

Luz gently held Amity's index finger, waving at guard as she stepped into Amity's room. The door closed, Luz being taken to the small loveseat couch. Luz sat, a pillow being placed in her lap as Amity walked around the room. "Are you okay?" Luz asked.

"Yes I just.." Amity hummed. "..Require something, from you."

"Is it my cooking?"

"No. Well yes- But not right now.."

Luz pat the pillow, "It has something to do with this, doesn't it?"

"Yes."

"Did you want me to be your-"

"Luz I don't need therapy."

"That's a no then." Luz glanced down. "Are you going to take a nap?"

"Sure? Uh-" Amity scratched her neck. "I've caught on that..Your touches uhm..Make me feel better.."

Luz perked, "Oh!" Luz pat the pillow. "What are you waiting for silly? Get over here! I told you if wanted me to pet you all you had to do was ask!"

Amity gulped, sitting on the couch before lying her head in the pillow, kicking off her shoes and resting her calves on the armrest of the loveseat couch. Amity drew back slightly when Luz reached to brush back her hair, relaxing when the human managed it. Amity let out a soft sigh, leaning her head against Luz's stomach as her scalp was gently massaged.

Luz giggled, Amity closing her eyes. She relaxed, her shield lowering. "Thank you..Luz.." Amity slurred. "This feels so nice.."

Amity turned, wrapping her arms around Luz's. The human squealed and giggled, the pets lasting longer and longer each time. "Luz..?"

"H-Hm?-"

"...Can we do this more often..?"

Luz, aware now that she shouldn't be using this to get Amity to hopefully fall in love with her- simply answered, "As long as you say it's okay, Amity.."

The witch hummed softly, ears drooping, the spark in her eyes returning, even if only momentarily. "Thank you...For letting me trust you, Luz.." Amity whispered, a low rumbling coming from her throat. "I'm glad you're the first.."

"That probably isn't a good thing." Luz teased, smiling.

Amity snarled quietly, pushing herself up slightly, moving the pillow. She shuffled, squirming til she threw the pillow across the room and lied her head in Luz's lap. 'So warm..' Amity nuzzled her thigh, purring quietly.

Luz used one hand to cover her face, the other brushing through Amity's hair. "Amity..?" Luz swallowed.

"Mmr..?"

"Thank you for trusting me.."

Amity smiled warmly, ears drooping, "You make it easy.."

"Amity!" Luz rushed towards her, basket in hand. "I've brought you sweet bread, empanadas, and tamales this time too!"

Amity took the basket, leaning in, "You're missing something."

Luz kissed her nose, giggling. Amity softened, ears lightly flapping as her face grew red. "Luz!" Hunter rushed over, scooping her up. "Hi!"

She squealed, laughing as Hunter spun her around, holding her tightly. "Hey Hunter, I brought you empanadas too~" Luz cooed.

Hunter snickered, setting her down, letting Luz go too early, the human falling back. "Ah- Sorry Lu--"

Amity socked him, kicking him back, "Are you okay?-" Amity took Luz's hand. "Luz? Did you bruise? Are you bleeding??"

Luz stumbled as she was pulled up, holding onto Amity, "Spinning--" Luz held her head, clearing her throat and looking up at Amity. "Yes I'm okay, I'm not bruised or bleeding."

Yet Amity still showed signs of worry, and cowered. "Amor, it's not like last time.." Luz caressed her cheek. "I'm not going to scar, Amity.."

"Help.." Hunter strained.

Amity glared his way, Luz patting her arms, being let go. Luz went over to Hunter, helping him stand. Then proceeded to slip on his cloak. She fell face first on the floor, Amity scrambling over. "LUZ!"

"Ouchies.." Luz sat up, rubbing her nose, flinching when blood dripped out. "Uh-Oh-"

Amity huffed, scooping Luz up, "Hold on."

"Wut-"

"What about me!?" Hunter faltered. "I think I'm going to pass out-"

"Steve will get you." Amity kissed Luz's forehead, running down the hall. "I'll be back for my basket.

Luz gulped, "Are you allowed to be taking me to your healer?"

"Don't worry Luz, I'll make sure they don't try anything on my human."

Luz flushed, "Oh wow..Tripping.."
