nothing could’ve prepared him for this moment. “babe i’m an idol i’m not cut out for this.” he can’t believe what you’re suggesting. from what he understands, you want him to smack a broom on to the rat once you release the furry from the box. hah! like hell he’s doing that. he may have impressive biceps but he’s not gonna mess with the rodent family. “you’re doing great sweetie, i’m gonna lift it in a second be ready okay?” you start counting down to lift the box and chan mutters some curses directed at jyp for not preparing him for this moment. in the next moment you’ve lifted the box and… there’s no rat?? “oh no… THE RODENT IS ROAMING FREE AROUND OUR HOUSE!” he’s caught off guard, stumbling around trying to look for the rat until you tell him the truth. when he finally finds out. the only way you can make up is by providing cuddles, or else he threatens to kick you out

you manage out a loud “babe i caught a rat!” and the next second this man is next to you wearing a raincoat (??) with a baseball bat in his hand and bucket on top of his head. “get back babe, soonie was hungry anyways” HUH ⁉️ YOURE GONNA FEED IT TO UR CAT–. he takes this as his moment to shine. he’s gonna straight up lift the box and ready his fists like he’s gonna fist fight a rodent 😭 he’s really disappointed when there’s no actual rat there. and then he chases you around the house while you try to explain yourself. when he finally catches you. tickle attack. i’m sorry you brought this upon yourself.

PLS imagining changbin scared of the small animal while he has THOSE muscles is so amusing to me. like bae that rat is smaller than your palm 🤚 don’t tell him that tho he’ll screech at you for putting that image in his head. he’s jumping up and down around the room but manages to maintain his distance from the box. he keeps on repeating “oh please lord i’m not your strongest soldier” he’s really going through all 5 stages of grief. comes up with so many strategies to let the rat go. one of the strategies is that if you both perhaps offer the rat food he’ll leave ?? that’s not how it works bin. when you finally lift the box without a warning BRO this man will shriek and throw the thing in his hands which happens to be a tissue roll like 😭 cmon now bro how’s that gonna help you.

this man hears rat and he’s already screaming before you even finish your sentence. he’s cowering behind the counter but he peaks out every now and then to see if the rat is still in the box you claim you caught it in. he leaves for a short while only to come back with fucking insect repellent 😔 i’m afraid he’s a little confused. you keep calling him over to take over the box but every time he’s like “girl ME ??” it’s just a constant exchange of “babe i wanna live happily ever after” and “come here hyun!” in the end you just yell at him to catch it with his bare hands and then lift the box quickly. safe to say that hyunjin is supporting a huge bruise from when he rammed against the counter in his haste to escape the rat 😭 i feel so bad but it’s okay because this mf will literally use your guilt to as an excuse to get cuddles and kisses.

i don’t know what’s happening… you’re torn between acting scared to carry out the prank or cackle at han’s antics. when you call him over he’s relaxed until you start yelling “BABE COME HERE! i literally just caught a rat!!” and the next moment he’s on the floor doing a push-up🧍‍♀️he’s warming up his muscles he says (??) when he’s finally done stretching or whatever he needs to do he’ll do the wakanda forever thing.. then he stretches his hands and starts sprinkling invisible stuff onto the box and mutters random made up phrases like he’s performing an exorcism 😭 he tells you to remove your hands and when you finally do. he’ll jump on the box and plant his butt there. “do you think my fat ass killed him babe??” HUH 😦 this man fears nothing i swear.

cmon now 😔 it’s felix we’re talking about, he’s gonna find it in himself to be proud that you’re this close to a rat even though you swear up and down you’re terrified of them. overcoming your fear woohoo :D!! he’s also wondering why you would trap the rat. not very tpwk of you. “maybe we should let it go babe i don’t know..” he has the most adorable thinking face while he wonders how to proceed. in the end he settles for giving you a very heartfelt speech about how the rat probably has children to feed and if you trap the rat rn, it’s family will hunt you down for the rest of your life 🧍‍♀️you don’t know how it turned into the life lesson but you tell him that there’s no rat really and he relaxes “oh thank god” because he would hate to tell you how he’s deathly scared of rats. gotta protect his image.

i’m sorry you can’t fool him. he already knows when you call him over with a shout of “there’s a rat!” he saw you put the box over the clean floor, you’re fooling nobody. but just to save your dignity he’ll act like your genius plan worked and so he’ll put on his most surprised face ( 😯 ) and run over to you. the gasp he lets out is far too condescending as he covers his open mouth, “oh no how will we ever survive this tragedy?!!” realising the mischievous smile your boyfriend supports, your shoulders slump as you acknowledge defeat. seungmin giggles as he joins you on the floor and pulls you onto his lap. “it’s okay babe, we can act like you’re slick” he says while you grumble against his shoulder about how you can never surprise him.

yeah he loves you but he’s afraid he’s gotta burn your house down. it’s been a while since jeongin left with a “i’ll be right back” after you told him you had caught a rat in your box, he looked relatively calm when he left the room so as the minutes pass you wonder if your prank actually worked. you consider dropping the act and giving up on the plan, that is until your boyfriend returns. he walks into the room and you’re surprised to see him dragging two suitcases behind him. “what.. are you doing innie?” he looks at you as if the answer is obvious. “moving out? you think i’m about to stay in the house after this rodent has left it’s footprints behind? nuh uh.” and you realise he’s being dead serious when he ushers you out of the front door as well.

Everything seemed to be going normal during dinner, you were smiling and laughing with the Madrigals. That was until you noticed Camilo’s fingers tapping and his eyes seemed to drift towards you before looking back at his food. Your attention was pulled away from him when Mirabel had asked you about your day. You decided not to worry about Camilo until after dinner.

You thanked everyone for the dinner before following Camilo to his room. “Hey, is something wrong, Camilo?” You asked as you two were heading towards his room. Camilo didn’t answer, instead he opened his door and urged you inside. When you two were inside you sat down on his bed, watching as Camilo walked over to you. You were about to ask if he was okay again but Camilo’s lips were on yours before you could say anything. Your eyes widened slightly but gladly returned the kiss. He climbed up on your lap and gently pushed you down onto the bed. “I missed this so much, mi amor,” he said, his lips gracing over yours. His hips began to roll into yours, making you let out a small groan. You couldn’t really say you didn’t miss this, with all of the work he’s had to do for everyone you two never really got to do this very often. Your hand gripped on his poncho(?) and he quickly removed it following with his shirt. He also removed yours and began placing kisses along your chest making you squirm. “F-Fuck..Camilo, you’re so good..” Your head leaned back onto the pillow as you covered your face with your arm. Camilo’s hand started to wonder down to your pants where he could see your growing, hard-

Your soul nearly left your body when you heard Mirabel’s voice followed by the door opening. Camilo screamed and jumped up off of you and frantically put his shirt back on. Mirabel was about to say something but decided to leave quietly. Camilo and you stared at each other trying to think of how you’re supposed to explain this. “Erm, you get dressed, I’ll go talk to them,” he let out an awkward laugh and quickly left the room.

You left Camilo’s room to go look for him, and you could see him frantically try to explain what was happening to Mirabel and Dolores, who was currently contemplating her existence who had already told Pepa about what she heard. You quickly rushed down to try and help explain but before you could Pepa rushed towards Camilo and gave him a hug. “My Camilo’s finally in love! I always knew you two were really close but I never expected..that close! Now you two were being safe right because you should always use prote-“ Camilo and you quickly talked over Pepa to try and make her stop talking. Well, this isn’t exactly how you two wanted to tell the family about you two but at least they seem to accept you both :}

Hi 👋 I have been a new followers since abt 3-4 days n I wanted to let u know that I'm in love with HOLD YOUR BREATH - honestly, the way u have written r every single word 😔👏 u have me hooked.

On the other hand _ the deaths devastated me _ Jake bcoz he gas been through thick n thin with the mc and Sunoo bcoz .... well, he is Sunoo 😭🤌 like who the hell tries to hurt him come fight me istg 🤜

No but really, Sunoo was my last straw. He didn't even have much screentime (?) and yet he is one of my favs if not my fav (pls I think I can go on n on abt why he is my fav but I think I should stop here).

As for her girl best friend ............................lmaooo.

What the hell is up with her 🤚💀 I swear at this point if she saw a dead body n Minho passing by it _ the first thing she would inform would probably be "I saw prof Minho".

No but seriously what is up with her .... her best friend is being stalked by a psycho ...... why is she so chill ?

I read the post where u said that the whole friend grp was the definition of id ego n superego _ her being the id which means immediate gratification without thinking abt any consequences. I'm kinda just baffled at this cause if I were her (id) I'd follow her like a shadow, I'd even follow her to the washroom (that's what I mean by doing anything without thinking abt the consequence) _ seriously tho, I'd be worried n basically do anything for her not to be alone n then there's her 💀.

Infact it would have been better if it were her with the mc in place of Jake n Sunoo :

1) I'm assuming this is set in Korea (considering the majority of the characters) - n in Korea (or in almost all Asian countries) same sex relationships are non-existent (bcoz of the society), so when u see two girls together, the first thought will always be "oh they r friends" never "oh they r lovers".

2) The main reason why the stalker even thought of eliminating Jake n Sunoo bcoz they were men (opposite gender) n spent much time with the mc _ which the stalker automatically assumed bcoz they liked her romantically.

Other than that I love ur writing💖 _ I'm really not kidding, I waiting for this sick bastard to get caught, i'll be waiting 🥳

OK WOW that's an impressively long ask, it was truly a remarkable read.

I'm glad you liked the story, and hopefully it will retain its coherency as I write because sometimes it's just rambles on feelings for characters.

Sunoo really didn't get a lot of screentime, though, right? That's mostly just poor planning on my part, to be honest, there's a lot of timeskips in between because I was worried the story was dragging on for too long and not a lot of action was happening. I was planning in elaborating his character but then I have this really nasty habit of not sticking to my plot plan to a T...

Which I think comes to the next part about Sooji—like I mentioned earlier, I never really wanted her to go past a certain point, and she was always meant to be a window for the viewers to explain what happens that doesn't get written. Both Sooji and Soobin were supposed to play roles that allowed viewers to see what happens to the other characters that Y/N doesn't interact with. It was really meant for me as a cheat code to lay out some of the off-screen actions might not be accessible because of the limited point of view. I think part of it has to do with the fact that this isn't a written fic, adding on to the fact that I wanted this to be a solely Y/N-limited viewpoint (at least for the social media part, but I ended up breaking that so that was a hard pass.)

However, I think what you said really makes sense, I'll make a note of it the next time I write something like this again (I think I just need to do more research), and mostly because it's just poor storytelling on my part (and me starting this story without fully fleshing out the story from the get-go so there were a lot of changes that were made to the story as it progressed). I'll be fully sure to actually plan out my stories and make sure that characters stay relatable. Or rather, the next time around, I'll attempt a story that isn't so ambitious. This was a story that I had in mind for years, but only the major points of the story were determined, whereas the in-betweens were very vague...

I did also think of why Y/N wouldn't spend time with Sooji because she was afraid of Sooji getting hurt. The reason why was not because the stalker might see her as a potential love rival, but solely because the stalker would do anything to get anyone, regardless of that person is a man or a woman, out of the way. Jake was never considered as a romantic interest but because he was protective of her, he was killed. If Y/N were to stick to Sooji, then she, as a protector of Y/N, would have been in danger as well, not to mention Soobin, who is in the same boat, role-wise. I didn't have any intention of killing them off because they still have roles to play, but I guess it's just another page in a book now.

The id, ego, and superego were only meant to be decision making aspects, because for the three of them, Soobin was the mature one who was always protective, whereas Sooji was the one who would always enable Y/N to do just whatever. Perhaps if I had adjusted her role in the beginning to be a mere friend instead of a best friend, it would maybe make sense...or a superficial friend of sorts who's kinda flimsy in terms of her loyalty. Her role has been reworked a little bit, and there will be parts later on in the story to fill in the gaps that need filling, and I will explain why she acts the way she does as the story reaches its climax...

Whereas Soobin will be phased out.

hiiiii <3 would you care to update your raging fanbase on your wips/current priorities/progress/future plans?

omg ruthie i hope you realize that i’m taking this as permission to RAMBLE (also raging fan base sjfjjfg what 😭) also quick note, i’m doing this on my phone so that’s a 99% increased chance of typos. just ignore them <3

i’m currently attempting to do what i call “slowing the fuck down” because i’m literally incapable of taking an actual break so i have to settle for lowering my posting rate (for the sake of my grades most of all, but also the sake of my deteriorating sanity ha). posting twice or thrice (august 2020 smh) a month is fun and all except that it isn’t sjdjkd

i say that and yet i’m still planning on posting twice in march... anyways.

i’ll do this in list format because i love lists.

1. assassin au

okay so this is based off prompt 80 from the blff which is hopefully saved somewhere in my notes because i don’t even remember—

okay it is!! the prompt: John Wick au (kinda?), in which Harry is a legendary assassin but hides this from his sweet boyfriend Louis the whole time. Cue lots of badass Harry action scenes while trying to juggle this with his normal life with his sweet boyfriend and their cute dog Clifford.

and so the thing about this prompt is that it was originally submitted to the fest by lovely chelsea @kittenlouis whose birthday just happens to be coming up in march hehe. it’s a prompt that stuck out to me from the beginning but i never really considered it because i didn’t think i’d ever be able to pull off “badass Harry action scenes” tbh i still don’t know if i can but i’m going to try!

i’m currently at 8.5k for this fic out of an estimated 48k (rip) but that’ll hopefully be 10k by the end of today. the whole story itself is already outlined and planned out and i’m so excited about it, i can’t even articulate how much. there’s lots of drama and action and twists and turns and everything i love!! also this harry, man... this harry is my favorite harry i’ve ever written 😔🤚 i adore him and he deserves the world. they both do :’)

it’s definitely not going to be for everyone since there’s going to be a lot of action and violence (not non-graphic violence) and it’s darker than anything i’ve ever written 😬 like don’t get me wrong, 100% going for action rom-com vibes for some scenes and there’ll be some fluff and soft, sappy moments (stoic hardened assassin that has no experience with love in any form until he meets sweet affectionate nurse, pls 😓) but the last part of the fic: *incoherent gesticulations*

also it’s mpreg!! lol it’s for chelsea, i had to.

anyways back to the violence— i can’t even tell you how many videos and articles i’ve read/watched in the past week on jiu jitsu and kali, tactical driving, knife fighting (sort of have a fascination with this one now) (and an extreme fear sjdjd), medical info about various injuries, escapology, poisons, the john wick verse (it’s not going to be as intense as john wick but i am thinking of setting it in an alternate reality new york where there’s a lot more government instability and free reign from the underground— not, like, a lot... but a bit), and more. i love getting deep into research and ending up with so much new knowledge and information that you don’t know if you’ll ever apply to real life (or really really hope you won’t have to 😳)

yeah so that’s been fun! i’m looking forward to getting deeper in the story!!

2. fake dating au

i’ve already talked so much, this is ridiculous. will try to be quick now!

fake dating au is my oldest wip! it’s circa december 2019 and honestly i’m annoyed with myself for letting it sit for so long. however!! i finally completed the full outline for this fic (after months of procrastination) sometime last week (i think... what is time?) and i feel really good about where the story has ended up so hopefully this will be my priority after assassin au! i don’t expect it to be longer than 35-38k so i may be able to finish and post it by the end of march (it’s currently at 5k!! deleted most of what i had before and then speed-wrote a few scenes the other day) but we’ll see!!

i mainly chose this as the next priority because it’s been too long since i’ve written abo :’( etblp was posted in november! over three months ago what the fuck!! but there’s going to be a lot of good abo stuff in this fic: touch depri, nesting, scenting, and... courting <3 it’s also been much too long since i’ve written any level of enemies to lovers hehe.

3. destruction fic!!

can’t explain how much i love this fic :’) it’s been mostly outlined since back in... september i believe? maybe even august— but i’ve been stuck at the 3k mark since october and that’s really frustrating. i realized it didn’t quite excite me as much as it used to so i decided i needed to change that in the way i know best:

add. drama.

i’m not even joking sjdjdj i came up with a plot point that’s going to add so much angst and i’m so excited about it 😭 i was talking to chelsea about it (is this my tactic to avoid spoiling her birthday fic for her because everyone knows i can’t shut up... perhaps) the other day and her encouragement and excitement also made me more excited.

this fic is a combination of a lot of things i love: superpower, supernatural elements in general, exes to lovers, hurt/comfort (so much hurt 💔 so much comfort ❤️), and other things that i will not reveal!! i sort of like being mysterious on occasion.

anyways those are the next three priorities and after that nothing is set in stone. however, i will say that mandalorian series and the (newly abo) flatshare au are looking pretty good to me rn... also, perhaps the sequel to just a flicker in the dark 👀 (i don’t think i’ve mentioned that on tumblr yet so... surprise!)

i definitely made good on that promise of rambling sjdjdj apologies in advance, ruthie, but thank you for your interest!! 💞 hope you have a wonderful day/night!
