In rewatching the season, I'm noticing how clever Aabria and Brennan were in crafting Tula's story. How well thought out everything was.
Specifically, the bear. It's been mentioned so many times before, but with the context of the completed season, I cannot help but be in awe at the skilful storytelling at display here. The way in which the Blue is described to appear wrong only in reference to Tula and her heart, the way in which Tula talks about curiosity and and having experienced knowing someone who died because of it. Of how Aabria describes to Izzy how Tula looks when she heals the bear, of how Aabria specifically points out that Tula recognises the commonalities between herself and the bear. These breadcrumbs that mean little in the beginning, that tell everything at the end. It's amazing, stunning, masterful storytelling. I am in awe.

But imagine you are Dr Watson coming home from Switzerland and suddenly standing in a sitting room that used to be yours, and there is a book he bought and did not bring along and sheet music for a composition you will never hear him play and there are the notes for a case he will never solve and a new summer coat he will never wear and the flowers that Mrs Hudson placed on the table which faded unseen by him and the tobacco that he will never smoke and the concert ticket that expired because when the curtain rose, he stood at the brink of the Reichenbach Falls and you were not there.

i keep coming back to 'i was a functioning alcoholic til nobody noticed my new aesthetic' because i do distinctly remember conversations about how taylor seemed to be drinking a lot more and getting drunk at like every awards show she went to. and those conversations were coming from a place of concern and of hoping that she was alright and that this wasn't a problem.
so to then say 'ugh i can't believe no one noticed this problem i had' when i know that people definitely did, and on the same album say that fans who are genuinely concerned about a new relationship that you are in are just 'bitching and moaning'? what do you want from them? you're talking about so many people who do at least believe that they are coming from a place of care and concern, and you are totally dismissing them on both ends of a scale!
not to mention that her implying that since nobody (???) was noticing her ~aesthetic~ drinking problem she just stopped having it is a bit of a kick in the teeth to people who do have drinking problems and can't just stop having them, since that's not how it fucking works.

Fun reminder: the suits that the Turks wear aren't quite suits. At least not originally.
The first real case I noticed with the suits looking funny was in either the animated film or maybe Advent Children. But if you go back to the original artwork for OG, you'll see the tiny little zipper tag is on the suits there too. ... admittedly I remember them being a single piece but look at Tseng and Rude's jackets and then look at the bottom of Reno's. Zippers!
Now in Before Crisis the details aren't there for them but you get to see the jackets look the same just with different colors.
Crisis Core shows a similar looking suit to the OG. It's hard to tell if there is a zipper at all but it looks the same. Advent Children meanwhile? You see the zippers and the line!
And looking into FF7R, the suits are actually different! And since they used the same designs for Crisis Core remaster... yep, I see the buttons there too.

have to laugh when people say the finale stripped belos of his characterization bc like. if you thought his desire to save humanity was still entirely pure that’s on you my man. the fact that he tried to MURDER luz, a human child, not once but twice (three times?) makes that pretty fuckin obvious. like no he’s not evil for evil’s sake, but he’s also not genuinely trying to help anyone but himself. he’s trying to commit genocide because he thinks all of these people are abominations. fuck he even makes it clear that getting the title of witch hunter general is half the goal in kings tide. was saving humanity important to him originally? maybe. but it’s been 400 years. he’s murdering his brother regularly and trying to kill even the humans that disagree with him because he is so deep in his beliefs that he can’t let go
also i have a fever so legally you can’t be mad at me if i’m wrong about any of these facts </3 that’s how it works for sure (lying)

okay now that i'm safely at home i can go feral over the confession images
as devastating on every possible level the "shallow emotions" part is i'm a little obsessed with the fact that ivan specifically thanks till for being the "victim" of his emotions
ivan doesn't apologize for subjecting till to the ways he tried to express his affection in their youth that irritated till and potentially pushed him away
he isn't sorry about harboring this love for him that went unnoticed and unreciprocated and ultimately wound up becoming a source of trauma and hurt for the both of them
he says thank you for being the person those feelings ended up focusing on. thanking him for being the person he fell in love with in a horrible world that wouldn't teach them what love is or show it to either of them, the only taste of it ivan would ever experience
it was messy and imperfect; it left him with regrets. he should have been kinder. should have shown his love in gentler ways. a lifetime of things he could have done differently, but it's too late. he doesn't believe till will think twice about him once he's gone, that his death won't leave a mark on him, but just in case he does. on the off chance till thinks of him again someday. he's grateful that, out of everyone in the universe, everything aligned perfectly to make till the person he loved until the very end

just wanted to share this clip of the final lair before i post the greg raoul audio because i still haven't recovered. look out for:
emilie trying to whisper a response to ben's "i love you" through tears
ben repeating "i love you" right after her breathless reply
ben pressing the veil to his face, inhaling deeply, then sobbing into it :')
