the issue is not whether there is a sex scene next season or not, and if there is, how it's going to play out. the issue is why you need one in this particular show.

i think ppl who are into fandoms tend to end up wanting/expecting the same things over and over no matter which character they're playing with at any given moment, and despite what makes sense for the characters, and this especially for shows where there is a lot of meta analysis and endless tomes of fandom discourse.

The thing about Amphibia is that there is change. Things will always change; nothing is ever going to stay the same. That's life. But through it all, the one thing that will never change is love. Sasha, Anne, and Marcy grew apart, hurt each other, learned, came together, drifted apart again, then grew back together. Nothing could, and can, ever keep them away from each other. Their love is too strong.

So? The idea of Anne staying separated from the Plantars, of Sasha staying separated from Grime, of Marcy staying separated from Lady Olivia and Yunan? There may be worlds keeping them apart, but that doesn't matter. That'll never matter. Their family. And family always finds its way back to each other.

I'm personally of the mind that if it's your blog, you can write the character however you please- this includes even if it's wildly 'out of character'. Anyone who doesn't like it just doesn't have to interact, you can't be everyones cup of tea afterall but you may as well enjoy writing your muse than try to force them to conform to canon just for others approval. I have a few canon divergent muses myself, my Zim generally is a little more aware than how the show writes him- more emotional, I guess. My Bucky, who I'd been writing for years before bringing him to my multimuse, is massively divergent storyline-wise. I don't acknowledge the canon for the infinity war plotline just because I don't like it. Simple as that. There's a good handful of my muses who aren't quite like their canon counterparts. It's okay to like the idea of a muse but want to develop it your own way, using the character as a base for your own stories. That's what we're all here for, isn't it?? I'll never understand people getting super butthurt over canon divergences as if they affect the source material whatsoever. Just- scroll past. If they think someone is portraying a character in a way they don't like then just don't interact with them! As long as they're not pushing it on others as some canon fact, just let them be!

THEY ARE SUCH TRIPLE THREATS honestly that whole cast is pretty phenomenal. I've been listening to Maggie Lawson and Timothy Omundson's podcast rewatching Psych and I love it, Maggie says she felt like she was playing dress-up in her dad's suits for the first few years and couldn't believe she got cast as a detective and I find that fascinating because I think she does so well in the beginning with making Juliet seem both inexperienced AND full of potential. I think you can really feel that Jules is going to be able to step up whenever she needs to right from the start without sacrificing any of the naivety or softness.
