#WonderCon2024 was truly amazing! I got to see @chgreenblatt at his “Magic of #Jellystone” panel! Got to meet him and get my Jelly-related questions answered. Got a favorite Jellystone fanart of mine signed (he voices Peter BTW) And I even gave him Jelly-stickers + charms from my shop!
He’s an amazing guy and really cares for the fandom! And as fans we need to continue supporting him and his amazing show since Chowder and Harvey (and the first three seasons of SpongeBob. Remember, HE’s the reason for Band Geeks). He’s an inspiration and I hope to become something similar to him one day.

Here’s my note before I’ll get started….
(NO COPYING OR PLAGIARIZING FROM ME AND ONE OF MY CLOSEST FRIEND’S WORK! THAT INCLUDES OUR CHARACTERS, DESIGNS, STUFF, ETC. IMPOSTERS AND SEXBOTS ARE NOT WELCOME TO FOLLOW MY BLOG WHATSOEVER! 😡 That will be all….I mean it.)
“Day 16: Fighters 😈👊💥”
I’m now having throughout the weekdays when getting ready for tomorrow’s program and so on. Just hoping I can move on after finishing up my Inktober artwork plans til this month’s end. Sure would be deserving some candy during Halloween. 🙂👍
Now onto Day 16; as part of a countdown til “Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2” game release in November this year. If I would to pick any Nicktoons characters that could fit in, these two troublemakers sure takes the cake. (Not Harvey Beaks because he’s a pacifist to get himself hurt)
I used to watched “Harvey Beaks” from recent times, but sure would’ve deserved recognition more. Why not bringing its representation to future installments of All-Star Brawl series? I would be surprised if it does happened in official news.
BTW, I’d take this versus screen from the latest SSB game as the inspiration. Looks cool where I’d made from scratch, huh?

This is yet another idea that is not a pitch:
Harvey Beaks: The Teen Years
What is it —
A sequel series to C.H. Greenblatt's Harvey Beaks that is set a few years later with the kids as teenagers and is 10x crazier and far more adult than its predecessor. Think of it like Chowder meets Fast Times At Ridgemont High meets the 21 Jump Street duology with a little more heart here to it.
Tumblr media
PREMISE:
It's as simple as can be, we follow now teenage Harvey, Fee, Foo and so many more as they not only deal in relatable teen problems but also get themselves into the most insane situations possible since the wide-eyed adventurous childhood feel.... is unfortunately long past all of them. God help us all.
NOTES/TRIVIA/DETAILS:
• While the show will it want to have a genuine heart to it just like its previous series, the tone is far more comedic with edgy, adult humor and inspired by 22 Jump Street, is a meta satire that tears apart and makes fun of the idea of even making a revival.
• Case in point on what I'm talking about, the first episode of the show would be an entire Twin Peaks parody with a now teenage Harvey making his way through and trying to escape an otherworldly Black Lodge and the episode would end with Harvey succeeding but escaping through a VERY BIZARRE mean that lands him in front of Dade's house with Dade screaming, the VERY BIZARRE mean is a direct homage to the Space Chicken landing in that "Return" episode from Courage The Cowardly Dog.
• The show will also have an anti-revival feel to it as the characters for the most part are introduced in the most blunt and casual way, there's no special appearance, they're just still in the same world like nothing's happened.

For too long, Nickelodeon has exploited shows and creators for the sake of profits. Not only that but they even went as far as go after those that speak out or even try to unionize. Micah Wright tried to unionize Nickelodeon's animators and all he got for it was his pilot Constant Payne denied, he was then fired and ultimately blacklisted.
20 years have passed and the time has come at last. Time for Nickelodeon Animation to FINALLY unionize. So that not only animators can be paid fairly and treated fairly but also... for Cyma Zarghani's stupid ass bitchy business model to finally fucking die.
Go to hell Cyma Zarghani. You have treated so many talented people like they were garbage. You exploited shows and creators for the sake of profits and all that did was nearly destroy the Nickelodeon brand. Although you were fired, all I want is to see one @chgreenblatt take back the apology you forced him to make. To spit on you and the company that did him and his show dirty. That's all I want. And for Micah Wright... I hope he sees what will ultimately become a reality.

So they say that the new era of Disney TV cartoons will be led by the likes of C.H. Greenblatt...
Well, I’m just hoping that the House of Mouse will treat C.H. better than Nickelodeon or WB-Discovery (I mean, considering how messed up everything has become over there, Jellystone might as well be cancelled by now too...)
So I’m only hoping that C.H. Greenblatt won’t be screwed over again... I’m hoping that Disney will respect him more...

I don’t know much about most Hanna-Barbera series, I saw that Top Cat movie from like 2010 ages ago and stuff like the Laff-A-Lympics and Blue Falcon on Boomarang but being vaguely familiar with Yogi Bear I just wonder why Jellystone made him a DOCTOR! THEY TURNED YOGI INTO A DOCTOR!? They didn’t just have him be the Classic picanic basket stealing bear or whatever he does they GAVE YOGI BEAR A DOCTORATE IN MEDICINE! BOO-BOO GETS SUED FOR MEDICAL MALPRACTICE! SaltyDKDan was right to cancel him
I don’t want this to sound angry, I just wanted to ramble because it’s weird and I think about it more than I should

HIYAA i keep seeing the rottmnttmtmohgodtheacronym is so confusing. I keep seeing the new movie trend and the animation looks so amazing but ive somehow not heard about it at all before? Is there a series too or is there just a film?? I didn't know who else to ask '^_^>
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started back in 2018, and has 2 seasons! You can find the first season on Netflix, or you can find both seasons on Paramount+! Just a warning though, the episodes are sort of out of order on Paramount, so make sure you go by order on the Wiki!
As for the movie it just dropped on the 5th, and is the first ROTTMNT content we got after it ended just about 2 years ago so we were PRETTY STARVED
I’ve never seen any of the previous TMNT iterations this is my first one I’ve ever seen, but it’s genuinely one of my fav shows! I really recommend it to anyone who is a fan of animation, every episode looks absolutely spectacular

Worth to check back my Filipino pal’s previous events he’s been waiting for: “Chowder X Panini 5th Anniversary Fandom”.
Tumblr media
Not bad where he’d share his remake I recognized before, but it’s only exclusive to his secret blog. Not a surprise, though.

Congratulations, one of your characters made a cameo appearance in my midlife crisis!
This takes a little time to explain, but on the art web site FurAffinity, living users are represented with a tilde, while living impaired users get an infinity symbol in front of their names. I was at a low point in my life when I drew this, and thought about what would happen when the Grim Reaper eventually closed the loop.
Anyway. This was supposed to be for questions, so I'll ask one. The career of an animator seems to be nomadic... they'll spend some time developing a series for Cartoon Network, then move to Disney, then migrate to Nickelodeon, only to return where they started (cough cough CH Greenblatt cough).
Any reason, or reasons, why this happens? Honestly, I have a difficult time understanding why anyone would go to Nickelodeon to start a show, given the way so many artists have been treated by the network in the past. Do all the networks act like this?
Just curious. Thanks for your time, and for the years of entertainment.
You guys look great together, but no loop closings please!
Gotta bilde the tilde, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, yeah... Animators all know that Other Studios have Other Problems. It's not at all uncommon to hear someone say, "I'm about ready for new problems".
I spent most of my career (until the wonders of the recent mega-merger) at WB, so I've really only known WB problems (with a light sprinkling of Disney Troubles). I've asked friends like C.H. Greenblatt and Jessica Borutski about the long-haul at Nick, so I have a basic idea what the culture is like. But if I land at Nick in five years, it could be a completely different set of circumstances and maybe even a completely different set of employers.
I know maybe three studio execs with solid careers who've spent the majority of their time at one studio. Most of the time, the low level executive track is even more of a meat grinder than the creative track. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the middle-management meat grinder is the cause of the creative meat grinder.
The job of an executive is to make impressive decisions that dazzle their superiors and shareholders. If you've just been hired to replace someone and have inherited a stack of 32 animation bibles in various stages of development with assorted creators, are you really going to just continue going through that pile? I mean, you're replacing someone for a reason, right? So probably better just to toss that whole pile of animation bibles in the trash and start again. Because you're going to look like an idiot if even a single one of those fails. And if it succeeds, it just makes your predecessor look smart, which steals some of your shine. So you axe those creators and all of their support goes away and the cycle begins anew.
During my career, these executive turnovers (and the following creative turnovers) happen about every four or five years. With a little luck, it takes (in my experience) about two years to get a show through development to pilot, and then another year to decide if it's going to be a series. In short, there is precious little time where a creator/EP can interface with and rely on a competent executive to champion them. If you don't have that, you're not going anywhere.
I'm not sure how anything gets made. From the inside, development is always trickle-down sweaty desperation. I guess somehow, every now and then, a neurodivergent 23 year old slips through the cracks and makes a kid's show about The Grim Reaper. It could all be luck.
There are definitely execs who love animation and have made it their life's work. But there are also people who just got into the business as, say, a personal assistant and hasn't watched an animated cartoon since they were six, but suddenly find themselves in control of many millions of dollars worth of IP. There are execs who think of entertainment only as a commodity and who literally don't understand why creatives feel so passionate about "just cartoons" but will remind you "how lucky you are to work in entertainment" if you ask for a raise.
In short, the problems are usually management related. And those problems are mostly the same across studios, with the occasional Infamous Despot you want to avoid at all costs. The good news is that said Despot probably won't last five years.
There are perks at the different studios too. Proximity to decent food. Occasional amusement park passes. Friday morning bagels. The sort of stuff that hopefully nobody is taking a job specifically for.
At the end of the day, there are three or four big studios we can work for. There are also a smattering of smaller indie studios which... make content for those three or four other studios anyway.
The long and short of it is that there's just not a lot of choice where we can work or who we work for. We definitely talk to each other and the studio culture does weigh heavily when you're deciding where to go. Assuming you have the luxury of choice. It all kind of sucks, and it all kind of sucks in the same way. But sometimes you get bagels.
Stay Frisky!

It's Been Six Years
It has been over six years or so since Harvey Beaks had ended. @chgreenblatt if you ever do get this, I implore you... and I know many would likely agree with me but... TAKE BACK YOUR APOLOGY!
The thing is, you owe Nickelodeon nothing. It's the other way around. How they did you and your show dirty was despicable and considering that Nickelodeon's reputation is heading down more and more given what Jennette McCurdy and her new book is anything to go by. Besides, the reason why I wish you can take it back is because it's high time you spit back at the network that treated your show poorly and the former executive who is nothing but slime, Cyma Zarghani.
I am thankfully looking forward to more Jellystone from you but it would really make my day if you deliver the coup de grace to Nickelodeon.
