Something I never got about Octavinelle x fem reader is the idea that the trio don't know what boobs are or just... anything about afab humans at all. It makes no sense.

They literally attended a boot camp before NRC (which I personally headcanon to last a year because there's a lot to learn) to learn about humans, beastmen and fae, and life on land? Huh?

The general argument for this is that there's no need to learn about it because NRC is an all boys school, which makes no sense at all because 1: that doesn't mean there can't be trans students, 2: the town on Sage Island most certainly does not only have amab inhabitants, and 3: Azul plans to expand his business on land and has said multiple times he does thorough research about land, which will include his potential customers- and something I've learned while taking Hospitality is that things like career and gender are taken into consideration when planning special meals or menus.

Idk, maybe I'm complaining too much, but I just don't like these kinds of fics because it always involves one or all of the trio grabbing reader's chest without her permission and squishing/pulling, which is sexual harassment and it makes me uncomfortable, especially since it's treated as a joke and any discomfort that reader may have is laughed off.

What do you guys think?

Ngl the Reichsbürger Razzia today hitting international news (and therefore the dashboard) for once and Americans explaining it as 'Qanon going international' really grates on my nerves.

We've been dealing with these fuckers for decades now, they've recently tried attacking our power grid and rail infrastructure to induce a revolution, they've been planning to abduct ministers, they've been a major motor of fascism, antisemitism and antivax activities, they've tried storming the parliament, they're armed to the teeth, they placed their members in our parliament, in the police police and in the army. Not because of Qanon but because they believe the german empire to never have ceased existing and the current government to be illegitimate. (They ignore that the third reich was dissolved the moment germany capitulated because they want to instill the monarchy, fascism and/or and the borders from 1871 again, which extended to Kaliningrad) And now that it has reached public consciousness it's all being americasplained as just another extension of their politics instead of a deep structural problem in germany.

Don't get me wrong it SHOULD be major news because they are dangerous as fuck even if they come across as totally off the rails and yes they do use Qanon structures to empower themselves and yes some of them believe in Qanon too. But i'm so tired of everything being tied to US politics all the time without people even trying to understand the local context.

the amount of hh/hb fans (and viv herself) thinking tadc and other recent indie productions owe their success to hh/hb is making me wanna make a timeline graphic of indie cartoons out of spite.

just bc hh/hb is the only indie production you decided to pay attention to doesn’t mean it’s the only to ever exist, it’s not even the newest.

vast amounts of people were already starving for “original adult content that isn’t ugly,” and if you ask me i theorize it’s why many “fans” haven’t paid as much attention to shows like Monkey Wrench, bc it has an unconventional style some might describe as “ugly,” even tho it’s animated *very* well.

and all that’s not even including the huge and loyal following viv already had and how long she was trying to pitch various series including hazbin before any of her productions got off the ground.

viv and her fans don’t appear to respect the history or community of what they’re allegedly “at the head of.”

animation is a collaborative medium, it requires mutual respect and supportive teamwork inside *and* outside of individual productions.

attempting to declare a hierarchy is destructive to the very nature of animation.

So ... Tumblr keeps advising me that I have to update to the current version of the mobile app. It'll be better they say, It'll be more enriching. But for whom I ask? Before I upgrade any of my apps, I go through all the reviews and do a comparison between the critical and the positive and work out a ratio. I.e. is it a 5:1 ratio of complaints to positives, or is it better or worse. You can even filter the reviews to see just the latest update.

Well, I did my comparison, and for the latest version, there are three one stars and no, repeat no positives. When you dig deeper, the ratio of complaints to positives continues to climb. This now seems to be a permanent feature of Tumblr reviews and always accompanied by no responses from the devs.

What tumblr is doing now, is to kill my ability to see videos. Just about every video and gif comes up with the "not available" sign. I can only imagine this is the latest move to persuade me to upgrade to the latest version, which has nothing but complaints, especially about the live feed which cannot be permanently turned off, only "postponed" on a weekly basis.

And let's not mention the onslaught of new pornbots.

Ariel and all her sisters have shell bras they're gonna know what boobs are. Also mothers exist. And the internet. And sex ed. They're 17, they're gonna know what boobs are.

Fr. Usually I wouldn't mind too much if the author writes Octa as clueless, but the fact that in all these fics they're sexually harassing reader by grabbing their chest and squishing/pulling at it without their permission and making gross comments, and it's treated as a joke makes me upset and uncomfortable as someone who has been sexually harassed. Like reader will be trying to push them off and turning red and telling them to stop and it's just "lmao look how flustered reader is"

It's something in a lot of Octa fics, actually. Azul forcing reader into a romantic contract, Floyd repeatedly hurting reader and it's just "lmao you decided to date him that's your own fault", or Jade trying to drown reader for fun. And it's not even treated as yandere or angst or abuse, it's just fluff?

I’ve complained ab this before but when will indie makeup brands stop selling water activated face paints as “graphic liners” you’re being scummy!!! You’re over pricing something that’s gonna get all inside peoples eyes!!! It doesn’t feel good when it does!

Constant reminders for a show that doesn't need more advertising. And not one thing is about ACTUAL One Piece.

It's the same as the Pikaman garbage but even more obnoxious.

I'm starting to feel like Tumblr is two steps away from a downward spiral. It's crazy to see a site become user hostile in such gross way.

Things were on the upturn until Tumblr Live was forced on everyone, I almost feel like they're actively trying to dump the site at this point.

If they don't dial it back, I think Tumblr is gonna lose its roach status.

Imagine actually figuring out an organic way to get money out of your userbase then trying Clockwork Orange techniques on them for the ad money which WILL dry up if they don't turn around.

Potential Spoliers

(Upfront, I am a Sidlink shipper. However, that actually has nothing to do with the following opinion.)

Say what you will about Yona, I think we are all overlooking the most glaringly obvious flaw with the character:

She's fucking ugly.

I mean, the design team at Nintendo really screwed the pooch on this one. If she had that demure beauty like Mipha I could've lived with this development, but noooo.

Her Lime green color scheme doesn't compliment Sidon's Red at all. You could have picked blue, purple, gold (< I know that's orange cut me some slack), one of the standard colors of the other Zora characters in BotW. But no.

Her horns look like Leucochloridium - the parasitic worm that invades a snail's eyestalks. Just with less pulsating.

And let's not forget that 500 years down the line, we are looking at a female Muzu - I hope you all realize this. She's the only other stingray based Zora, they have to be related.

In conclusion, Mipha is lovely and Yona is shit. Plus, the childhood best friend who just shows up out of nowhere and was never mentioned or alluded to before, even in DLC, is just really lazy writing.
