Plant of the Day
Tuesday 29 August 2023
In a cottage garden was this narrow petalled Leucanthemum x superbum cultivar (Shasta daisy, ox-eye daisy). This is a great plant for the border or in a meadow planting.

Welcome to my imaginary enchanting cottage garden, where beauty and tranquility abound. Surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature and the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, this garden is a true haven of peace and serenity. Stroll along the winding paths and discover a world of color and texture. Admire the delicate petals of the roses, the vibrant hues of the dahlias, and the whimsical charm of the daisies. The soft rustling of the leaves and the gentle hum of the bees will transport you to a world far from the noise and stress of everyday life. I think this cottage garden is not just a place to admire the beauty of nature, it's also a place to connect with it. 🧡 Do you feel the cozy calm vibes too here?🌱 #cottagecore #cottagehome #cottagedecor #cottagestyle #cottagegarden #cottagegardenlove #countrylife #countrysideliving https://www.instagram.com/p/CpSqePwNdHh/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

One of my concerns was that the roses would not be blooming anymore in England when we would time our vacation in the first two weeks of July (usually we always go in June). Luckily I was wrong! Some of them are beyond their prime, others seem to be at their peak or a little beyond, and some are gone over, but there are still many to see and enjoy. I wonder if they had a very cold spring in England this year and that is the reason the roses are still blooming relatively profusely? Or do some re-bloom already? Maybe my British followers can enlighten me? Whatever the reasons are I am beyond happy that the roses are still blooming here. After all, an English garden/cottage garden without a flowering rose just doesn’t seem right. And who doesn’t want to see a climbing rose conquering an old cottage? I am sharing in this post my favorite rose that I saw today. Its dark burgundy red color was so deep and velvety in reality, but unfortunately my camera wasn’t fully able to capture it properly. The rose still looks amazing, doesn’t it? I guess, it is a David Austin rose, maybe Munstead Wood? Would you rose lovers out there agree? Or do you have any other suggestions what variety this could be? Wishing you all a lovely rest of the Monday and my American followers a wonderful and safe 4th of July celebration. #organicgardendreams #rose #roses #redrose #redroses #cottagegarden #cottagegardenstyle #rosephotography #flowerphotography #rosesofinstagram #roselover #rosegarden #englishgardens #englishgardens #cottagecore #darkredrose #darkredroses #fortheloveofroses #cottagegardens #rosegarden #england #cotswolds #cotswoldslife #englishrose #englishroses #davidaustinroses #davidaustinrose #cottageflowers #bloom #flower (at Castle Combe) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfmeeOwq96R/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Happy Ostra Blessings everyone!!
Ostara marks the Spring Equinox and originates from thee pagan celebration of the German goddess Eostre and the origin of the Christian celebration of Easter.
Being the beginning of Spring, Ostara is a good time to literally and figuratively plant seeds for the future. It is also a good time to freshen up your home and life, take time to do some spring cleaning, clear out your closets, and give away clothes that no longer feel aligned. Organize, declutter, and clean up areas where you spend a lot of time. Release the old and unaligned make room for the new! Along with the New Moon in Aries, the releasing and renewal will be even more motivating and passionate to manifest more in your life, especially with creativity and love! The lunar moth, a symbol of death and renewal as well as the two lunar hares who are symbols of new beginnings and fertility, you'll be reminded to make this new year a beautiful one in your life garden ✨🦋🐇🍄🌿🌱🌳🌷🌸🌼🐇🌚
