The Chevrolet Camaro is a mid-size American automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, classified as a pony car. It first went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed to compete with the Ford Mustang. The Camaro shared its platform and major components with the Firebird, produced by General Motors' Pontiac division that was also introduced for 1967.

Four distinct generations of the Camaro were developed before production ended in 2002. The nameplate was revived on a concept car that evolved into the fifth-generation Camaro; production started on March 16, 2009.

Before any official announcement, reports began running during April 1965 within the automotive press that Chevrolet was preparing a competitor to the Ford Mustang, code-named Panther. On June 21, 1966, around 200 automotive journalists received a telegram from General Motors stating, "...please save noon of June 28 for important SEPAW meeting. Hope you can be on hand to help scratch a cat. Details will follow...(signed) John L. Cutter – Chevrolet public relations – SEPAW secretary." The following day, the same journalists received another General Motors telegram stating, "Society for the Eradication of Panthers from the Automotive World will hold first and last meeting on June 28...(signed) John L. Cutter – Chevrolet public relations SEPAW secretary." These telegrams puzzled automotive journalists.

Hidden Talents: Greta Van Fleet

Josh: 

Everyone knew that Josh had a more eccentric style, had a serious addiction to thrifting and he absolutely loved your sense of style. You always dressed very well and your clothes fit you perfectly which was something that Josh struggled with when it came to thrifting clothes. He always asked where you got your clothes and you simply replied with,” Just some of the local thrift shops.” After being together for almost six months, Josh waltzed into your apartment with a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a bottle of red wine to surprise after such a long week. He knew work had been hard on you, so he wanted to help you have a nice, relaxing evening. After closing the door, he could hear a slight hum fill the air and followed it into your spare bedroom where you were hunched over a plaid skirt that sat under the needle of a sewing machine. Josh simply leaned against the door frame and watched as you worked. After a few moments, you jumped at the feeling of eyes staring into you and spun quickly, relief evident when you saw Josh’s toothy grin. 

“So, this where all these awesome clothes come from,” he questioned slyly as he looked at your sewing machine. You rolled your eyes as you explained how you upcycled the clothes you bought and altered them to fit you better. You walked him through the process and he nodded along, actively listening and loving how happy you looked. You showed him your favorite patterns and how you measured everything to make your clothes. You opened up the closet and Josh simply ran his hand over the many fabrics you had. 

“Well, you wanna make my stage outfits for our next tour,” he asked and he meant wholeheartedly.

Jake: 

As with all good stories and secrets told, it started with a few mixed drinks at a party with your friends. All of you did another tequila shot and Jake’s face puckered slightly when he stuck the lime in his mouth. All of you laughed as Kenzi told a very lively story about a fist fight between all three Kiszka brothers and you laughed right along, not surprised at all at the rowdiness. Josh and Jake argued over who really won that fight and the only thing they could agree on was that Sam had absolutely lost. Being just the perfect amount of tipsy, it took you a moment to realize, Jake had asked you a question and everyone laughed when he had to repeat it. “Have you ever been in a fight,” he asked again. You grinned slightly and simply nodded as you took a drink of your margarita. Everyone looked shocked at the idea of you throwing hands and that you claimed you had never lost a fight. “It’s true,” you exclaimed while throwing your hands in the air as everyone roared with laughter. Jake zoomed around the counter, grabbing your wrist and pulling you to the living room. He pushed the coffee table against the wall to open up space on the floor as put his hands up pretending to box.

“You sure you wanna fight me by yourself,” you asked cockily with your arms crossed. 

“Don’t worry, brother. I got your back,” Josh said as he mirrored his twin and you laughed at how sure they seemed they would win this wrestling match. Needless to say, they were both shocked when you flipped Jake over your shoulder by his wrist and swiped Josh’s feet out from beneath him. They both landed with thuds and stunned silence from the on lookers on the couch. 

“Did I forget to mention that I’ve been trained in the art of Krav Maga,” you said with a toothy smile. Jake just stared at you from his place on the floor in shock. 

Danny: 

The first time Danny came over to your house he was a bit surprised to see a midnight black ‘67 Chevrolet Camero Z28 sitting in your garage. The one that you normally drove, a Honda Accord, was parked behind it in the driveway and Danny parked next to it. He could hear clanking coming from under the old muscle car and lots of curse words, but for some reason, he was even more shocked that you were underneath it wearing an old white tank top and a pair of jeans that had seen better days. Your boots stuck out from under the vehicle as you fought with the oil filter. 

“Babe? You okay under there,” he asked quietly, trying not to startle you any, but it didn’t work when he heard a metallic thud and a groan, indicating you had hit your head. He grabbed the creeper seat you were stretched out on and helped you out from underneath the jacked up car. You held your forehead and pouted slightly as the knot beginning to form. With deft fingers, Danny examined your forehead while taking in the sight of you. Grease covered your hands and oil splattered your top along with your exposed mid-rift.

“Killer car, honey,” he said with a smile as he helped you up. You gave him a bit of a shy smile as you stared at the engine that was exposed by the popped hood. 

“Yeah, thanks. It used to be my Dad’s. I’m sorry about losing track of time, but that damn filter won’t come off,” you said as you grabbed a shop rag and wiped your hands. 

“You’re good, babe. I’m sure I can stand to learn a thing or two,” he said with a flirtatious smile as he leaned back against your baby. 

Sam:

Everyone was lounging in the Kiszka’s living room, chatting and making fun of each other before dinner. You sat next to Sam with his arm wrapped around you as you watched Jake do a terrible British accent and told a horrible joke that made you all roar with belly laughter. It wasn’t uncommon for Oliver Reed to make an appearance after a few beers and he always loved to pick on Sammy the most. 

“What’s it like being a fucking douche,” Jake questioned with a beer in one hand as he gave his little brother hell. 

“Oliver,” Sam started through laughter trying to defend himself, but couldn’t get his brain to function. Normally, he’s very quick witted until he starts laughing too hard. Then, it’s basically game over. Jake held back chuckles as Danny and Josh clutched each other’s shoulders as they laughed at the ‘dispute” over the last cupcake that literally had Jake’s name written on it. 

“That’s rude, Jacob,” you said in a haughty British accent before your brain could stop it. Everyone looked at you slightly shocked at how well the accent had been done compared to Jake’s and started to laugh.

“You can do a British accent,” Sam asked excitedly as he turned fully to face you, face still flushed from laughter. 

“British? Bloody hell, I can do any accent ya think of,” you said in an Australian accent this time. Before long, they had all gathered around you asking you to say different phrases in different accents. 

Needless to say, Sam was thoroughly impressed.
