He's all that (Netflix) (my review)

I did not know it was a remake of she's all that also never seen the movie. However, I fucking love Cinderella stories especially gender bent ones. Like Disney's geek charming that had Sarah Hyland, I like cheesy movies.

I did not know the main girl was Addison rae then again, my tik tok is mostly alt, neurodivergent, and pets. Who names their kid Padgett? Took me a while but Fucking Zander is the douchebag guy.

I know it's a shitty song like the logan Paul one's, but I couldn't help myself and sing it a bit in the end. Also, Mathew Lillard and Kortney Kardashian where in it. Lillard, I accepted he's barely in it and I love Shaggy but a Kardashian...

I wish They kept Cameron's long hair but that's just me but I'm glad they shaved him.

The ugly duckling getting a popular make over as a bet has got to be stopped. Glad all they did was cut his hair he kept wearing his regular clothes.

Padgett losing her basically job over her valid reaction to her boyfriend cheating was a shit move. It happens too much to celebrities or influencers you can't let anyone see you look bad. She should have also texted Nisha and Cameron that it was a pool party. I liked when Cameron saved her when she froze singing. Cameron and Padgett's hang out with the horses and grand central was so cute.

I loved this fight glad nothing happened to his sister and Cameron kicked his ass. He really did hold back when he was getting bullied.

I loved Maddison Pettis as the fake friend, but she really went to Jordan. Girl if he cheated on Padgett, He's going to cheat on you. She knew about where Padgett really lived for a year but still dropped her for prom queen and her ex. Girl that's a dumbass reason.

I was so glad when they kissed but I knew it was going to go wrong after. Also, glad she got called out by Cameron's sister. I'm glad Padgett went to prom and won. I'm mad Maddison Pettis's character didn't try to cheat her votes somehow. The speech was cute, I thought Cameron was going to show up in the middle of it on a horse. That random goth girl only showed up twice who the fuck was she? And how did she win runner up?

Cameron did show up on the horse a little late but still cute I loved it. Their traveling the world montage was so cute. I also forgot the bet but getting a loser tattoo is not so bad. It's so cute that they're matching.

Overall, I liked it, it wasn't good there were issues obviously, but I enjoyed it.

I watched He's All That purely for tanner Buchanan, and I'm all for cheesy teen romance movies as long as it's fun to watch, I normally don't care how silly it is... but jesus christ was it hard to watch padgett's actress, addison rae, act

tanner and the actor who plays his sister acted their hearts out, and then addison rae is out here over acting every word that comes out her mouth, it just took me out of the movie, especially towards the end

at the beginning of the movie it worked in her favor because everything about her is so fake, so when she talks like that, it actually makes sense, but then once more emotional scenes start happening...... she's just...... bad........

I will give the movie points for letting cameron say 'fuck' when he found out about the bet 👌👌 that was pretty great

📽️ He’s All That (2021)

I just want to say that I watched this against my better judgement because I absolutely cannot stand Addison Rae. I was right about her, by the way. I hated the way she presented her character, and she is not a good actor at all. Tanner Buchanan was better, although not by much. Honestly, pretty much everything was cringey and just bad quality. I’ve never seen She’s All That, but I can’t imagine that this “updated remake” did it much justice.

Sex/nudity: 4/10 (kissing, implied sex, a lot of sexual innuendoes, lots of sex talk)

Language: 5/10 (two f-words, and actually quite a bit of pretty much everything else)

Violence: 2/10 (bullying violence, fist fight)

Overall rating: 3/10

Time to Go & Get A Makeover

If you like Tik Tok, music, dancing, and makeover montages, then the movie “He’s All That” is right for you. If that isn’t enough to spark your interest, what if I told you it’s also a romantic comedy?

“He’s All That” was released on Aug. 27th on Netflix and has 17,740 views so far with an IMDB score of 4.3. The movie revolves around Padgett Sawyer, played by Addison Rae (The Hype Life), a social media influencer. Sawyer specializes in makeovers and, after a viral breakup, she takes on a bet to make a student who is unpopular into the prom king. Along the way she learns things she didn’t know about her friends and herself. Love interest Cameron Kweller, played by Tanner Buchanan (Cobra Kai) is the artsy, unpopular kid who seems like a disaster but is easily made over by Sawyer. Over time Sawyer and he become fast friends who, in true romantic comedy fashion, eventually fall for each other before the dramatic fallout. Of course, all rom-coms must end with a H.E.A (happily ever after), and “He’s All That” is no exception. The movie ends as expected, white horse and all.

The premise for this film and its name may sound familiar to those fans of the 90s teen rom-com. “He’s All That” is Netflix’s reimagining of 1999s “She’s All That” starring Freedy Prinze Jr. and Rachel Leigh Cook. Cook even came back in the Netflix version, playing Sawyer’s mom, leaving fans of the original a bit broken-hearted that Zach and Laney’s love wasn’t forever.

The original film is known for its classic 90s soundtrack, notably featuring Sixpence None The Richer’s Kiss Me, this song made a comeback in “She’s All That,” this time by Cyn. The soundtrack was organized by Matt Aberle and includes popular tracks such as Carried Away by Surf Mesa, Dance Off by Macklemore, and Mean Streets of Pali by Sam Hollander.

“He’s All That” is a really good movie, and it deserves five out of five stars. One thing I like is how Sawyer is a social media influencer but ends up changing what her social media is about, embracing her truth. And rest assured, if you’re in it just for the romance, Kweller and Sawyer are a really cute couple you can’t help but root for.
