watched Camille 2000 yesterday and I need to do research on this but im absolutely certain the design for her bed is inspired by early optical toys probably a mix between a phenakistiscope shape-wise and a zoetrope bc it relies on mirrors to be functional which is so beautiful and smart, like if you’re going to do a sexploitation movie about class the bed should absolutely be a space of performance and diffracted image
anyways I love when genre movies are self aware and artificial, the set design on this movie is absolutely genius (the plastic furniture the paper flowers this fucking bed)

Ahh please keep watching the show ( i watched it when it aired) and yes season 1 was cringe but seasons 2 & 3 get so much better ! I’m still sad it got cancelled
I definitely will be watching the show in it’s entirety.
I wasn’t going to, because of the soap opera acting, but also because there’s something about this version of Clary that I just don’t like. I’ve read the books, loved most of it, Clary in the books isn’t a favourite of mine but I like her, minus the whole brother thing. Show Clary makes me want to shake her. Although I will admit I haven’t read the books since I was like, fifteen, and my intense dislike probably stems from the fact that my judgement was horrible back then and there’s a good chance I just completely overlooked how annoying she is.
I’m pushing through though, purely for Alec and Magnus, they’re carrying the whole show.
