Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A subtype of cannibalistic attraction that is connected to the way that "The Rot" / Rot Cysts from rain world engage in cannibalism. This can be literal or metaphorical. It can be related to consumption as a means of growing stronger, as a means of eliminating competition, or as a means of merging with that which is like you, but does not have involve any of these aspects.

He’d always wondered why Cora had chosen a church for Sophie’s gravesite.  She wasn’t a religious person.  And meeting him had only driven home the fact that, whatever was going on behind the curtain, Earth hadn’t gotten it right.
Had it been him, he’d have chosen a large city.  It would have been easier to fade into the scenery.  It wouldn’t matter how young Cora looked, year after year.
So there must have been some other, more emotional rationale for why she’d chosen Cannich.

Iron Age Hut Circles in the Middle of Nowhere: Submerged Prehistory in Upper Glen Cannich
by Roland Spencer-Jones Does every excavation and discovery have a story behind it? Maybe. This one certainly does. When did the story start? With shepherds moving into empty land in the early 19th century? With the gradual depopulation of Highland glens in the early half of the 20th century? With the construction of the largest dam in Scotland completed in 1952? Maybe it’s best to start this…

A happy encounter with a group of seven ptarmigan on Thursday.....looking like they're getting ready and waiting for winter by adopting their white winter garb. I know how they feel! ;-)
I just hope for their sake (and for mine!) that the hills turn white soon. Even white with frost would be a start tbh. Precious little of that kind of thing so far, for this stage of the autumn.

A subtype of cannibalistic attraction that is connected to the way that rain world lizards engage in cannibalism. This can be literal or metaphorical. It can be about survival and hunger and cannibalism as a means of survival, but does not have to be.

Reasoning behind the colors!
the green is meant to symbolize the jaws of a green lizard, the lizard that most know engage in cannibalism, the black of their teeth, the reds of flesh or blood, the pinks meant to symbolize the pink head and scales of a strawberry lizard, the lizard most commonly cannibalized by other lizards. With the symbol, the blue outline is meant to symbolize the head of the blue lizard, a lizard that is also often cannibalized.

I'm still on vacation. But.
Tumblr media
The portal snapped shut behind Loki’s back, cutting off the farmland scent of Cannich and filling his nostrils with harbor water, gasoline, and sugar.  It reminded him of Siene, though less pungent than the seaside and more brightly sweet, as if there was a coating of icing in the air.  It reminded him of Yule, in spite of the muggy heat.
So this was Hamburg.  This was where it would happen.  Loki turned a slow circle, as far as he could go without twisting Cora's arm, taking in everything he had only seen on his phone before now: the sturdy little cars, the caramel-colored stones, the streetlamps, the flower baskets.
He looked up at the clear sky and admired the stars.
Centuries had passed since he'd last visited this part of the Realm.  Germany hadn’t existed in any formal sense.  But the Vikings had been born here.  Loki brimmed with wonder to think of that now.  Was this coming full-circle?  It was as though the Norns had tipped their hand, that bringing him and Cora to this place was of their own personal, poetic design.
Perhaps he was being fanciful.  His brain was firing off sparks.  But this was where Asgard and mankind had first met.
