cs is incredible because killian is absolutely devoted to emma and that is exactly what she needed in a partner
killian is someone who's emotions fluctuate in extremes and is inclined to channel that to love and devotion.
i think that is a perfect match to emma who's abandonment issues are a core personality trait. on top of that, killian understands abandonment in itself as someone who's suffered it too.
they match each other and click so well with that sort of understanding like. they're sooo made for each other

I have a question about mechanics in Misfits-verse. Is there a reason why Jawbreaker's missing eye was replaced with one made of steel, instead of, say, painted wood? The former is going to stand out immediately, while I feel like the latter would at least be similar to a glass eye in a human, passing casual inspection. Is it maybe cultural? Like it's taboo to try and disguise your, and I am using the biggest quotation marks here, "defects"? Or now that I think about it, was it his own choice?
I am very sorry, I seem to have done a very bad job at describing things. Jawbreaker does not have a steel eye.
I do describe his remaining eye as "steel" but I meant it in more of a metaphorical sense of his gaze being strong/cold/unfeeling (and also that the iris is grey in color). It's not literally made of steel. That's his one good eye. I'm sorry, that's my bad. I really should have been clearer.
Jawbreaker never received a replacement eye. The damage he received also extended to the rest of his face around his eye, especially above and below. Any replacement he was given would just fall out again because there would be nothing to hold it in place. That's part of why Jawbreaker is considered "unfixable" or at least that it would be a "waste of resources" to bother trying.
Culturally, it would actually be encouraged to mask one's "defects." Jawbreaker usually doesn't bother when he's just around the rest of the Taffy Battalion (or Emmet and Ingo) but when he knows he's going to be in public or in front of anyone important he tries to cover up the missing eye, usually with bandages.

SEE I LOVE 5x20 because. ouat leans so heavily on the concept of true love as the GREATEST magic of all. two people who love each other so strongly that impossibility itself is reduced to ash, just because of how much they want to be with each other
but the concept of true love, in a romantic way, is often thought of in modern stories as of. two people predestined to be with each other. and it's something ouat has leaned into as well, with oq most prominently (but other couples as well)
and that interpretation of tl can be fun but idk. i think there's something about two people choosing each other regardless of what a predestined story might have had in the cards for them. and that being JUST as valid as all other kinds fo tl
so i really liked that cs's tl confirmation was uncertain. emma and killian really didn't know if their love was one of the pretold greatest of all time or the like. they just knew they loved each other and were willing to bet everything on that.
and so that was their test. choosing each other no matter what. and i think that's it.
emma and killian weren't a couple who against all odds were destined to find each other. they were two people who managed to love each other so deeply, that they twisted and bended fate itself to allow them to be together.
so what if they weren't destined for each other? so what if they were doomed to be apart, even? how could two people who love each other that much have their bond be anything but true?

I figured it had to be ask game related but i kept looking for like.. "note" or "memo" or something lol
paper - favorite children’s book?
hmmm- i actually dont remember too well which were my favorites.. especially since apparently the books that left an impression on me before reading was ruined by school were.. young adult books?? according to wikipedia?? (Dragonsong by Anne McCaffery and A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle) both are juvenile according to my library tho so they can count i think??
if it has to be a picture book im going to go with Be Nice To Spiders by Margaret Bloy Graham because its nice and helped me be less afraid of buggies pretty early on i think :)
