I'm actually thinking about publishing a few parts of my Dale Yeah fic on Wattpad. So let me try to explain the context of it best I can to people who wanna read it. This is gonna be all over the place cause I'm weird so read at your own risk LOL
So starting out in the fic the year is 2006 and I'm living with Julie. Her uncle is Dale Jr. Her husband is Kevin Harvick. I met Julie online in 2004 on facebook when she noticed we both liked racing and some of the same music. We met in person in Nashville in 2005 at the Wildhorse Saloon where she sang. She's a singer trying to make it big. She sings with her band and she sings backup for Dierks Bentley who I started dating first.
2nd person I started dating is Carl Edwards. We both bonded over being wrestling fans. This was before I found out Dale was a wrestling fan.
3rd person I start dating in Dale Jr. Turns out he always had a thing for me and I never knew cause he didn't speak up cause I was more into Carl and Dierks.
My goal in this fic is to have Dale be my one and only. I realized I had stronger feelings for him than anyone else. I realized we are more alike than I thought but I was just too stubborn to see that. I realized Dale was there all along.
I'm actually dedicating this story to the career of Kevin Harvick but I think I need to dedicate this fic to both Kevin and Dale's careers. I really want to have Dale win a cup championship. Something he never got to do.
So anyway if any of you would like to see this fic then like or reply :)

Hamannian Hermeneutics: The Marriage of Reason & Faith (or: ‘the Letter & the Spirit’)
The Birth of the Milky Way (1636–1638) by Peter Paul Rubens
“Reason is the source of all truth and of all errors. It is the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Therefore, both parties are right and wrong which deify it and which vilify it. Faith, likewise, is the source of unbelief and of superstition. ‘Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing’”—J. G. Hamann, 1787

we know crowley’s spent centuries listening to aziraphale talk about his language lessons, we know how supportive and wonderful he was about aziraphale’s magic hobby he was originally before it all went south
i want to see the reverse over the years!
imagining all the time crowley has rambled at aziraphale at length, and aziraphale just listening to his enthusiasm and becoming utterly smitten
angel crowley before the fall teaching aziraphale all about physics, gravity and pressure and matter, practically bouncing with excitement as he shows him new star systems being born and aziraphale telling him he’s done brilliantly. marveling at the beautiful acts of creation that crowley brings forth (and also at crowley but shhh that’s aziraphale’s secret for now)
crowley and aziraphale on earth and the first time aziraphale realized crowley was really interested plants. what if aziraphale brought him his first houseplant? as a housewarming gift for his flat in london, and crowley still has it (through painstaking care and just a bit of occult intervention…)
imagining aziraphale tagging along with crowley to plant shops, helping him carry bags of potting soil to the bentley, browsing with him along aisles of plants. “this one looks lovely, darling.” “oh, no, angel, that one’s sick, see? the brown bits on the leaves, there. leaf rot.” “well, you can make it better, can’t you?” (and aziraphale beams at crowley, and crowley gets the sick plant, of course, and rehabilitates it, and later aziraphale recognizes it and smiles)
aziraphale listens fondly to crowley talk about stars - crowley doesn’t even need to be tipsy to go on long winding enthused tangents about them. aziraphale goes over to crowley’s flat to watch carl sagan’s cosmos with him on crowley’s big flatscreen TV, and is so excited for him whenever the james webb telescope puts out new images
i like to think aziraphale gave crowley some of his guidebooks on the stars and that he has a special section of the bookshop full of antique and vintage stargazers’ atlases and literature on the science of the universe. and maybe if crowley’s the one who plans their lunch dates then aziraphale’s the one who miracles them the best seats in the house at the planetarium and spends the whole time watching crowley gaze with wonder at the stars he created
i want to see crowley introducing aziraphale to his favorite romcoms (once they’re happily living in the south downs of course) and aziraphale dutifully reenacting all the sappiest things crowley loves best. kisses in the rain and picnics by the sea and baking croissants together at midnight on a whim - all because it makes crowley happy
just aziraphale being absolutely as gone on crowley as crowley is on him if not more, and showing it over and over for the rest of time 💛💛💛

Well... today turned out to be busier than expected.
I arrived at the farm just before 9pm yesterday evening, and arranged to meet GM Farmer Frank at 10:30 this morning.
Frank gave me a tour of the farm explaining what work is currently being done, and what has been done over the last few weeks. We then returned to the farm office to discuss future plans.
After a lovely lunch cooked by Frank's wife Pegs, I drove the short distance to the dairy farm for a refresher course on how everything works. Dairy Manager Cowboy Carl is off on holiday tomorrow. I will be covering the early morning shift at the dairy for the next four days.
Boy Tomas Operations Manager Tomas has been away for a few days, and nearly crashed his car into a wall when he returned and saw my Bentley outside the dairy barns. (The original plan was for me to go to the farm next weekend.)
While I was at the dairy, Farmer Frank called me to say that he could not access the farm computer system.
Master John to the rescue!
Now, (unlike farm work) this is something I can claim to be knowledgeable about. However, it was not a simple fix. I had to call upon the assistance of one of my IT experts in London.
The system is infected by a virus, "origin unknown". Between us we managed to regain access to the farm computer system, but it took some time. Tomorrow, my London office will take control of the farm computer and, hopefully flush out any remaining bugs.
Why is life never easy?

Alright so apparently you all haven't heard of the magical tale that is "Unlikely Friends, Unlikely Fate" so buckle up
Before Sun, Moon, Bentley and Paxton, there was a FNaC AU Maddy made that is INSANELY canon divergent but here me out it's great
Draw the curtains, hoist the spotlight:
It's sometime supposedly around the nineties, and there's this kid named Roderick. Roderick is lonely. He is also a douche bag. But he has a brother named Vinnie that he loves very much.
Vinnie is a ray of sunshine that loves literally anything and everyone. He is the light of Roderick's life.
Roderick, however, has to raise Vinnie on his own as his actual father is out trying to get the ladies after his wife died (note: I THINK it was due to giving birth to Vinnie, but it's been a while so I can't remember.)
Overtime, Vincella and Roodbark encounter a cast of lovable characters:
Carl, a super extroverted, funny little guy who is the highlight of every conversation and also an idiot most days.
Cindy, a shy but sweet baker who is the twin sister of Carl.
Chester, an awkward but affable tall fella who loves the banjo.
Pedro, the very definition of Napoleon syndrome that also loves to cook and is super close friends with Chester (albeit, not at first).
Kate, probably Roderick's first actual friend who wasn't his brother, a good leader who tries her best.
Chris, a very blunt introvert who's highly focused on work and affectionately by Maddy's Discord friends called "Maddy's bitch".
And Brett, a very bulky, fit dude who has a close bond with Roderick and is important for his arc.
The most notable part about this story besides Freddy's and Candy's is that their arcs revolve around different types of abuse.
Cindy and Carl have a good blend of it, I don't exactly remember how are why but I THINK it had to do with the foster care system.
Chester was severely emotionally abused by his stepmother, who is in-turn one of the most unlikable pieces of garbage and I'm sure you'd all love her.
Pedro was physically abused by his drunk father.
Kate and Brett aren't necessarily TORMENTED per se, more or less Kate has overbearing parents and Brett has over controlling parents. Obviously still terrible but quite tame in comparison.
Chris was horribly neglected by two arguing parents.
And Roderick, as previously mentioned, is victim to a lesser known type of abuse called "parentification"; in which a child has to raise their sibling/parent. Of course, this means Vinnie doesn't really suffer from too bad of a childhood, although the two brothers DO get bullied rather harshly at Freddy's.
Now you may be wondering: Cool, but what's the climax?
Obviously, with all the mentions of "Freddy's" and "Candy's", you can see where this is going.
I don't think Maddy wants me to spoil the Freddy's incident, but it might be swell to know that the cast all slowly dies one by one from a certain SOMEONE who also happens to be my favorite character, and each possess the animatronics most similar to their name (Kate = CAT, Roderick = RAT, Pedro = Penguin, Carl = Candy, Chester = (you'll never guess this one) Chester).
There's also more to the story in the sense that there are Monster animatronics (which have AWESOME designs btw), and my favorite rage-inducing group, the New animatronics (Mouse is the only thing that would get me to punt a child).
But this is just a summary so you understand Maddy's "Unlikely Friends" characters. I will take my bow now and leave the man of the hour in charge.

so ive spent the last ~2 years searching every bookstore for a copy of the awakening of spring, and ive finally found one in a used bookstore. however, its not the translation im used to. i now own a copy of eric bentley's translation, and i was wondering if its good/any differences, and i figured you were the person to ask
So, I've actually never run across the Eric Bentley translation and did not know it existed! I have copies of Edward Bond's, Jonathan Franzen's, and Carl Muller's, and from the experience of reading those, they do tend to differ greatly in phrasing and some details, but the overall plot remains the same. Sorry I can't really help more!
Out of curiosity, what translation are you used to?

Movie Reviews:
JPV852: Only the second time seeing this (last was probably in the early 2000s on DVD) and thought it was okay but guess like others, this has grown on me. Laughed throughout even when the dialogue wasn’t the greatest, but I have an appreciation...
