I'm Getting Out of the Car and Going to Enjoy the Empty Road and Mountains by Mark Stevens

This is on the Lake Minnewanka Loop with Cascade Mountain off in the distance. On this late afternoon day in mid May, the road seemed to be empty so I took this chance to stand in the middle of the empty road. Even with the low clouds and overcast skies, it was an amazing day to enjoy an afternoon in Banff National Park. Later when I had a chance to look in detail of the image, I noticed the lone waterfall and how the evergreen trees seemed to line up the sides of the road ahead.

A view that's just...amazing while walking the streets in Banff. I waited for the mad dash of crossers at one intersection and took this image looking north to Cascade Mountain. I loved how the street seemed to line right up to the mountain, as if an invitation to visit.
