On the table rests two baker's dozens freshly-baked loaves, each fragrant with the sweet scent of bread just out of the oven. They are, all of them, about the size of a pennyloaf, for Nyalter decided to start small.

The bread, if she must say so herself, has turned out alright. She's never made bread in such a large number before, so she was worried about sizing and stuff. The outer crust is a little harder than usual, it's true, but the insides are fluffy and soft and still very warm.

"Well... they'll be cheap, at least."

yesterday, my friends and i were out to make a few copies of some documents. it was pretty humid and we got orange popsicles on our way back. AMD YOU WOULN'T BELIEVE THERE WERE 6 CATS SITTING ON THE EDGE OF THE STREET AT A SHOP'S DOORWAY. six cats sitting together with their glory casted all over the place. they were LITERALLY LOAVES AND I WAS THIS MUCH AWAY FROM GRABBING ONE AND CUDDLING THE SHIT OUT OF IT.

among the six loaves, one was a little scared of coming close to us. since we kept a distance so as to not scare them away, the tiny baby gazed at us from the shared distance and kept purring the whole time.

but there was this little black one. an all-black cat with eyes of colour green. and it was purring sweetly at us. when we crouched to caress them, the little black one came near us and was leaning into our touches. once i removed my hand, it kept leaning on my jeans desperate for some more caressing. it was so sweet and never once appeared cold to us. this cat is going to stay in my memory for the longest time now. ♡

why do dog owners lack descriptors for what size their pet is besides how much they fucking weigh. I cannot conceptualize the size of a dog based on a measurement of its weight my brain just does not work like that. Do dog owners have this skill from birth or develop it over time? If we're talking about pets and you answer the question "aw how big is she?" With "oh about 65 pounds" just know I am now crafting a mental image of this dog as a small mountain of one-pound soup cans stacked atop each other.
