Saint Margaret of Castello

1287 - 1320 Feast day: April 13 Patronage: Pro-life movement; the poor, crippled and the unwanted

Saint Margaret of Castello was born in Metola, Italy to noble parents who wanted a son. Because their daughter was born blind and a hunchbacked dwarf she was kept hidden and locked in a room onto the side of the parish church for 16 years, where she was fed through a small window and able to hear Mass and receive Holy Communion through another window. When she was 20 her parents took her to a shrine in Castello, where miracles were reportedly being wrought, to pray for a cure for her birth defects. When no miracle happened they abandoned her. The poor of the city took her in as their own. Margaret had to beg for her food and eventually sought shelter with some Dominican nuns. She died at the age of 33 and a crippled girl was miraculously cured at her funeral. Her body has remained incorrupt.

Made my last post talking about how I was gonna get back on the horse and start loving God properly and being more productive and then immediately got sick. I've been dealing with such fatigue these past couple of days; I've done NOTHING.

Happily enough, this morning I woke up feeling much better. I'm not completely cured but I actually had some energy today and used it to clean as much as I could.

I emptied all the bins in the apartment, emptied the dishwasher of clean dishes, refilled it with dirty ones, washed and dried the dishes that couldn't be put in the dishwasher, brought my clothes back in from off the clothesline, folded them and put them away, stuck another load of clothes in the washing machine, cleaned some of the bathroom (sink, mirrors, toilet), and rearranged one of the bathroom cupboards.

Now my fiance's sick and is copping it worse that I did so I've also been looking after him as best as I can.

Things be looking up.

A couple downers though we had to put my moms elderly cat down last week. He was struggling and his time was coming. Fly high Braveheart ❤️

And of course my emotional support F1 team isn’t doing so great. Ferrari needs to restructure and get on Red Bull’s level. I’m looking at you and your crummy pit stop times Ferrari. The crew at Chick-fil-A can beat your times as well as a couple nurse practitioners I worked with at the urgent care I was at.

Congrats to world champion Max. I’m definitely getting an orange kitty and naming it Max. That’s if my cat Dwight wants a friend 😂😂

I’ve had some job interviews and one offer.

Wes Anderson’s new short films are pretty great. They’ve given me some new depths to the writings of Roald Dahl.

I applied to be a guest services volunteer at the Las Vegas GP. I’d love to be picked and my years of retail and customer service make me a good fit and I’m CPR certified so if anyone gets too excited I can intervene. But I highly doubt I’ll be selected since it did say they like applicants close to Las Vegas. Plus if they have me work behind the scenes I’d probably need a Xanax just to walk by the team Ferrari garage 😂😂😂 as I’d probably explode if I encountered Carlos and Charles. Especially Charles. 😍🥰

I am about one month recreational THC free (not including the small amounts of delta 8 I had for pain). I’m kinda craving a session of some delta 9 and Pink Floyd but sometimes you gotta better yourself.

I’ve been enjoying these couple weeks of taking it easy. I crave a 9-5 structure but yet one has to sit back and take a break, see where the lord takes them.

My birthday is coming up on the 11th. Here’s to 27. Also happy early 26th birthday Charles Leclerc ❤️🥰

Had the privilege of being able to visit this beautiful church in Lisbon (Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima) and venerate the relics of Blessed Pierre Giorgio Frassati and Pope St John Paul II.

I think I was just struck by Bl. Pierre Giorgio Frassati’s love for the poor and how he was a fun loving dude who was filled with so much youthful energy and zeal.

The Church held 3 requirements for a saint to be considered a Doctor of the Church: holiness, eminence in doctrine & writing, & formal recognition by the Church. Until 1970, the Vatican had never recognized a woman as a Doctor of the Church.
