ok sorry for being weird but I deleted all my posts about that animal abuse case I was talking about bc 1. I was literally threatened by the cops and 2. a friend who was working with me figured out a vigilante yet technically legal loophole and it looks like we're going to be able to get the animals out of that situation

quick recap but I've been working on an animal neglect/abuse/hoarding situation for months that came to a head yesterday and I thought was it was going to end in the worst way so I posted on every social media I have seeking advice. It's a rural area with no animal services and I was threatened by the police for asking for help after months of them not acting.

I got a hail Mary about an hour ago though that a local rescue worker found a loop hole and a rescue of all 14 animals is in progress. Sorry for bringing it here but I was so desperate 😔 but for anyone who read those posts just want you to know it looks like it's going to be ok

#spain #semana santa #traditions #i've actually only seen one procession in my life and it was last year here in madrid #it was pretty impressive!! but madrid doesn't really have a big semana santa spirit so i imagine in places like seville or cordoba it's cra #we were gonna go to lorca's semana santa this year but in the end we didn't #but yeah! i also learned a bunch of stuff through this video cause once again i know very little about semana santa. i'm not religious #and neither is my family so we don't really care. tho as it's explained there it's not really about religion for many it's just tradition #it actually reminded me a lot of moros i cristians which is a festivity i'm a lot more familiar with #moros i cristians is more celebratory and fun than semana santa which is very solemn #but the spirit of the community coming together and the different groups and the drinking is very similar #but at a very small scale obvs. seville is like spain's 4th largest city and has 60 hermandades #my dad's hometown has like 6k inhabitants and 6 escuadras #Youtube

My brain just spouted this out and I wrote like a possessed person for half an hour after I saw the prompt lol ao3

Damian looks up from his painting at his sister. Marinette had shown up in his room an hour ago with an expensive looking bottle in hand. He hadn't questioned anything and she hadn't offered him any information.

The alcohol must have finally gotten to her then.

Putting down the brush in his hand, he moves across the room to join her. She holds out the bottle and Damian takes it and places it out of her reach. She doesn't protest. If Damian didn't know better he'd say she hadn't noticed but he does know better. He knows she just doesn't care anymore.

Of course, all of them knew she wasn't really coping. At least not in a healthy manner. But then again when did any of them? After all, Marinette's question hadn't been very off the mark.

"Possibly," Damian admits quietly.

She chuckles, breaking off with a sob and Damian wonders if he should call one of the others, Richard or Cass or even Brown. All of them would be far more adept at dealing with a situation of this nature. But he remains with her. Even in her inebriated state Marinette would have walked away if she had wanted to be elsewhere.

"Possibly," she echoes.

There are silent tears rolling down her cheeks but when he hands her his handkerchief she swats away his arm.

They sit in silence after that. Marinette falls asleep at some point, her head on his shoulder.

He pulls out his phone then slowly, careful not to wake Marinette. He sends off a text to Richard. He's been hovering near Marinette every possible moment since Adrien's death, he'd probably be extremely worried if he can't find her.

Damian receives a reply almost instantly. Richard's relief, he notes, is obvious even over text. Putting down his phone, he turns to look at Marinette. Her exhaustion is obvious and Damian highly suspects that this is the first time she's slept in several days. Resolving to talk to her when she's sober, he lets himself fall asleep as well.
