What a Fucking Slap in the Face!

This was infuriating to watch. Kathryn Dennis took a shot at Cameran Eubanks and brought Thomas Ravenel back on the show.

There was no announcement, no warning that Ravenel was going to return to the show.

I haven’t researched this in greater details, but he was arrested and charged with assault and battery, and his children's nanny had accused him of rape!

He pled guilty to a third-degree assault and battery back in 2019. 

I think that this was deal that was made as they couldn’t prove that he had raped the nanny.

That screams guilty as fuck. And in 2020, the worst year since Donald Trump moved into The White House, this is what we get from Bravo.

Season 5 was the girl power season of Southern Charm were they stood up to the chauvinistic system in Charleston. 

They were riding on the wave of #MeToo, but what the hell is this?

It’s a fucking slap in the face.

Thankfully he won’t be back as a regular on the show, so I hope this is the last time we get to see Ravenel.

I mentioned season 5 as the girl power season, and it was also Kathryn’s redemption season. 

But Kathryn is still bothered by old wounds and had apparently plans of destroying Cameran this season.

Kathryn tried to bring the cheating rumor up in front of the camera, but Craig Conover tried to shut her down as fast as he could.

What infuriated me was that Kathryn acted like she wanted Cameran to join a party and forget about her mommy guilt for a minute. 

She appeared gleeful at the chance of confronting her about the rumor.

I actually feel sad for Cameran’s husband. He doesn’t want to be a part of the show. He appeared on the season finale last season and the first thing that happens next is this.

Everybody defended Cameran’s husband as the best person they’ve ever known, and I wonder how Kathryn’s tricks will effect the dynamics of the group.

And how do they feel about the loss of Cameran, Naomie Olindo, and Chelsea Meissner?

Season 7 Trailer Reaction

I didn’t think that I was going to watch Southern Charm this season, but after this trailer I think that I have to.

Honestly, after the news that Cameran Eubanks, Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner quit Southern Charm I doubted I would watch this season.

With so few castmembers left Bravo apparently made Madison LeCroy a part of the main cast. 

Leva Bonaparte and John Pringle is also new castmembers for season 7.

It also appears that Danni Baird has a bigger part on the show, even though she’s missing from the promotion picture.

Cameran, Naomie and Chelsea allegedly quit in protest because of Kathryn Dennis’ action.

She allegedly tried to make a cheating rumor about Cameran’s husband a part of the show. However, it’s seems to be bad karma for Kathryn this season.

Southern Charm is under fire because of the glorification of white privilege, and it apparently isn’t helping bringing Leva into the group.

Kathryn is being confronted about her white privilege bubble, about the monkey emoji and removing the statue of her ancestor who was a proud slaveowner.

It seems like she’ll have a falling out with her ride or die sidekick, Danni, as well. It already looks like it’s going to be a disasterous season for her.

And if you’re fan of those who desided to quit in protest, that might delight you.

But there isn’t only drama around Kathryn. Madison had a turbulent relationship with Austen Kroll last season and accused Shep Rose of giving Danni chlamydia. 

She can be vicious when she gets angry and she may drop more bombs as she’s now a main cast member.

She breaks up with Austen, who totally pussied out on her during the reunion, and gets interested in Sheps’ friend John. So I guess we’ll see how that all plays out.

Shep has called her “white trash” in the past, and he has a way of being extremely condescending and elitist. 

This is a maddening trait with Shep and I wonder how that will go down with the issues of today.

It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.

Bravo’s Southern Charm allows viewers to see the sophisticated, beautiful world of Charleston, South Carolina and there’s some kind of drama in every single episode. For 7 seasons, fans have watched Shep Rose and his friends enjoy casual and formal parties alike, and whether they’re grabbing a few beers or attending a dinner party at Patricia Altschul’s, tension is often on the menu as well.

If someone is new to Southern Charm and wants to know which wild and intense episodes to start with, these are the ones that feature the biggest friendship fights and help viewers get to know the most important cast members.

10 “Peter Pan ‘Sin’Drome” (S1, E1)

The pilot episode is a great introduction to the major players on this show, from Shep to Thomas Ravenel and Whitney Sudler-Smith. When it comes to the likability of the Southern Charm cast, many viewers find Kathryn Dennis to be problematic, but the first episode was all about seeing the fabulous, sometimes immature life that best friends Shep and Craig Conover lived.

After this entertaining pilot, new viewers will want to see more of this “slice of life” show about young adults living in Charleston and not wanting to grow up. While that’s not the most realistic way to behave, it definitely makes for compelling episodes.

9 “Is She Or Isn’t She?” (S1, E4)

In this season 1 episode, word around Charleston was that Kathryn was pregnant, and no one was sure if Thomas or Shep was the father. Of course, the friend group couldn’t help but gossip about this big news.

Thomas and Kathryn’s difficult, on-again and off-again relationship dominates several seasons of the show, making this early episode a must watch for anyone who hasn’t seen too many episodes. It helps explain Kathryn’s desire to create a family with Thomas and the dream that the couple both had that things could work out. While they do co-parent two kids, their romance has fizzled.

8 “Words Of Wisdom” (S3, E11)

This season 3 episode is memorable because Thomas hosted a dinner party and this became an iconic Southern Charm scene. After Thomas seemed happy to have his friends at his house, he began saying mean things about Shep and Landon Clements, and before too long, the party was definitely over.

In the next episode, JD Madison said, “Typical Southern parties try to keep things light…” suggesting that Thomas’s gathering was too dramatic. The reality show is famous for fancy dinner parties that quickly dissolve into chaotic arguments and anyone will be totally hooked after this one, wondering what harsh words Thomas would have to say next.

7 “Craig of All Trades, Master of None” (S4, E5)

Part of what made Cameran Eubanks so relatable is that she struggled with the decision to become a parent, and she talked about this subject with candor.  In this season 4 episode, she shared that she had a quirk, too: she loved voodoo dolls.

Besides this funny and unexpected scene, this episode also featured Craig discovering his love of sewing, which is a famous part of the show, and Thomas wanting to date Landon. Landon had bad luck with love on the show as she worried that people would judge her for dating Thomas, and when she confessed her love for Shep, he rejected her affections. New viewers will feel badly for Landon and become invested in her story.

6 “To Liver Or Die in Charleston” (S4, E6)

The two main storylines here couldn’t be more opposite: while sparks flew between Austen Kroll and Chelsea Meissner, Shep got some scary health information that his liver and cholesterol were in a dangerous place.

Southern Charm gives some life advice often and this is a good example of a time when viewers could learn something from what the cast members were experiencing. In this case, Austen really liked Chelsea but she wanted to keep things casual, and Shep realized that he had to grow up and be more mature. After watching this episode, it’s hard not to want to see what happens next.

5 “New Craig, Who Dis?” (S6, E8)

This season 6 episode is a funny, heartwarming one, as Shep got a dog and named him Little Craig after his best friend and co-star. In what is relatable for anyone who has welcomed a pet into their home, Shep had to learn to live with a new puppy.

This is also a stand-out Southern Charm episode because Cam celebrated her 35th birthday and had a bit too much to drink. Cam is one of the most beloved cast members and she would sometimes act silly whenever she had too much alcohol, and her co-stars always knew to anticipate this. It’s fun to see Cam let loose sometimes as she’s the “voice of reason” on the show. Those new to the show will want to watch more episodes after getting to know Shep and Cam better here.

4 “Outfoxed” (S6, E13)

While reality shows that focus on competition will always be dramatic, the series that talk about friendships can feature episodes that are also nail-biters. With this season 6 episode, Southern Charm fans saw how shaky Shep and Austen’s relationship was.

The most memorable storyline from season 6 was Shep getting mad at Austen for getting back together with Madison LeCroy. In Shep’s opinion, the two were toxic and it was a horrible idea for them to be romantically involved, but Austen wanted to listen to his heart. It’s impossible not to watch the next episode after this conflict.

3 “White Gloves Off”  (S6, E14)

A proper season finale of a reality show needs to have one unexpected fight and the drama was out in full force in the season 6 finale. When Patricia threw a party that was just as fabulous as she is, Ashley Jacobs, who wasn’t a popular part of the cast when she dated Thomas, showed up. This was one of the most dramatic Southern Charm moments.

The cast wasn’t interested in seeing Ashley, especially since she told Patricia, “I know what you did and the truth will come out.” Patricia said, “She was not going to bring her cat on a hot trailer roof drama to this event.” Fans were shocked when a security guard made her leave, and this episode will make new fans want to go back and see every Ashley episode.

2 “The Good Shephard” (S7, E1)

Shep is famous for not dating anyone seriously and believing that if he did settle down, it would be a long time in the future. In the season 7 premiere, he introduced fans to his girlfriend Taylor Ann Green, and it was a welcome surprise to see Shep in a real relationship.

If new viewers start with this episode, they’ll want to watch the whole series to see what Shep was like in the past. He has changed quite a bit and seems much more comfortable and open to commitment, which is nice to see since he’s been on the show since day one.

1 “Love Sick” (S7, E6)

Leva Bonaparte joined the cast in season 7 and in this particular episode, she talked to Kathryn about the offensive monkey emoji that she posted on social media.

This just might be the most important episode of Southern Charm as Leva tried to make Kathryn see that this was problematic. Kathryn didn’t want to take responsibility for her actions, which is one reason why fans can’t support her anymore. This is a key episode as Leva wasn’t afraid to stand up for what is right.

In 2014, Bravo added another reality TV show to its roster, Southern Charm. Fans quickly became fascinated by this unique way of life in Charleston, South Carolina, and the amount of privilege that came with the cast. 7 Season 6

The sixth season added two women as full-time cast members, Naomi Orlando (who has been a friend of the series due to her relationship with Craig) and Thomas's family friend, Eliza Limehouse.

6 Season 7

Season 7 was the most recent season of the series but it wasn't as impactful as previous seasons. Leva Bonaparte and John Pringle joined the cast and they solidified their part on the show's roster. But as instrumental as Leva was as the first woman of color on the show, the main storyline throughout the season was the relationship between Austen and Madison. The reunion proved that these two were better without each other as the cast split sides for who they supported. Meanwhile, viewers saw Kathryn in a healthy new relationship while Shep was the most mature he had ever been in a season.

5 Season 3

Season 3 was Whitney's last time as a full-time cast member. He went on to be a friend of the series since then to focus on other career opportunities. Chelsea Meissner made her first appearance in this season as a guest before joining the cast as a full-time member two seasons later.

In this season, Kathryn was pregnant with baby number two, and Landon realized she had romantic feelings for her best friend Shep. But things changed when it appeared that Thomas and Landon liked each other instead. Between Thomas not being ready for a second baby with a woman he's no longer romantically linked to and Landon pining for a man who will never settle down, there were better seasons.

4 Season 5

Cameran was always on the fence about having kids but by season five, she was preparing herself for baby. Austen and Craig, on the other hand, were not close to family life in the slightest after breaking up with Chelsea and Naomi.

Tensions continue to rise among exes when Kathryn tried befriending her baby daddy's new girlfriend, Ashley. Ashley, however, was not interested in becoming friends with her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend that he clearly was still attached to. The tension between Ashely and everyone could be felt through the TV.

3 Season 1

The first season of Southern Charm introduced viewers to Thomas Ravenel, Whitney Sudler-Smith, Craig Conover, Cameran Eubanks, Jenna King, and Shep Rose. Jenna King only lasted one season and is often forgotten but Kathryn Dennis was also a guest in this season. Right off the bat, Southern Charm gave viewers the drama they were looking for when a fresh-faced Kathryn was being wooed by most of the gentlemen and found herself pregnant after being with both Thomas and Shep on separate occasions. It was the start of it all.

2 Season 2

As juicy as season one was, season two had it beat. This season showed what life was like for Kathryn and Thomas as new parents and as they embark on a new endeavor as Thomas ran for the U.S. Senate. In the ninth episode, the real drama occurred when everyone let go of their inhibitions in Landon's hometown. Most fans can still picture a very drunk Kathryn yelling at Whitney on the deck before running off on the beach with Craig. By the end of the season, Shep and Craig tried to find love while Kathryn was last seen screaming "Thomas!" while running after Thomas outside a venue.

1 Season 4

Season four said goodbye to Landon but it said hello to Austen. Seeing the unique dynamic between Austen and Shep fed into Shep's idea of him being the main guy in the group. The two were friends but battled when it came to flirting with women, primarily Chelsea. While Chelsea entertained the idea of Shep at first, she fell for Austen. But as they got together, Naomie and Craig were falling apart and went to therapy to work things out. In short, season 4 was all about relationships.

Chelsea Complete Signing Of Havertz From Bayer Leverkusen

  Chelsea took their summer spending spree to nearly £200 million with the signing of German international Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal on Friday.

Havertz’s arrival at Stamford Bridge for a reported £71 million ($94 million) is the Blues’ latest statement of intent as they seek to cut the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

The 21-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, joins international teammate Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva in joining the club for Frank Lampard’s second season in charge.

Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last season, 33 points behind champions Liverpool.

“I am very happy and proud to be here. For me it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers,” Havertz told the Chelsea website.

Havertz’s move eclipses Werner’s short-lived record as Germany’s most expensive footballer after he joined Chelsea for 53 million euros in June.

That is not the only record Havertz has taken from Werner.

He succeeded the former RB Leipzig striker as the youngest player to make 50 and then 100 Bundesliga appearances since becoming Leverkusen’s youngest ever player when he made his debut at 17.

He scored 46 goals in 150 competitive games for Leverkusen, including 18 last season, but that was not enough to lead them back into the Champions League as they finished fifth in the Bundesliga and went out in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Havertz was keen to make the move to a Champions League club and Chelsea moved quickly to secure his signature despite appearing to have more pressing concerns at the other end of the field.

‘Exciting, dynamic talent’

“Kai is one of the best players of his age in world football, so we are very happy that his future lies at Chelsea,” said Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia.

“He has proven pedigree in one of the best leagues in Europe, he plays for the German national side and he is an exciting, dynamic talent. We are delighted to be able to add his versatility and quality to the squad before the season begins.”

  Havertz’s goal threat, physical attributes and ability to unlock a defence have earned him comparisons both to former Chelsea midfielder and Germany captain Michael Ballack and Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.

“He is special. He is like a hybrid of Michael Ballack and Mesut Ozil,” said former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves. “That says a lot in terms of his goals and elegance. He is a super player.”

Huge things are expected of one of Europe’s hottest prospects and Chelsea are making up for lost time in what they believe is a buyer’s market due to the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

A transfer ban meant Lampard was not given any money to spend in his first season in charge, while Chelsea also banked a club record fee last summer for Eden Hazard’s departure to Real Madrid.

The spending spree also signals that Russian billionaire owner Roman Abramovich is still very much invested in his club’s fortunes, even if he no longer resides in London.

There could yet be more new signings to come with a goalkeeper high on Lampard’s wishlist.

Chelsea spent a world record £72 million for a goalkeeper on Kepa Arrizabalaga just two years ago, but the Spaniard lost his place to 38-year-old Willy Caballero twice last season.
