I know why I love Sailor Moon so much. I'm the same person who's favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty. I live for the fairy tales and the romance and bound by fate love stories. And you know what? Sailor Moon is just like Sleeping Beauty. Serenity and Endymion are just like Aurora and Phillup.
Tumblr media
So now I'm going to go on a rant about how the movie and series are similar.
Sailor Moon and Sleeping Beauty
Sailor Moon Summary:
A Prince and Princes destined to be together. Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom Silver Millennium and Prince Endymion of the Earth kingdom Elysium, were drawn to each other by their desire to protect the Earth and they ended up falling in love. However, tragedy befalls them and they both are killed in a war spurred on by an evil force. They are reborn centuries later as Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba. Unaware of their past lives, they encounter each other often once Usagi reaches her 2nd year of middle school. They are pulled toward one another by the Mystical Silver Crystal and their desire to find it. Usagi fights enemies as Sailor Moon along with her fellow guardians and Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask. Mamoru is killed by the enemy which triggers the memories of their past lives. After many events Usagi defeats the evil force that brought her kingdom to ruin and reunites with her love Mamoru. The two fight side by side and eventually come to rule the earth together as Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion.
Sleeping Beauty Summary:
A young prince and a tiny princess are betrothed to one another. Princess Aurora is born and a celebration is held. In the midst of the celebration, the evil Maleficent places a curse on the princess for not being invited to the event. In fear of this curse 3 fairies take Aurora with them into hiding and raise her not revealing her identity until her 16th birthday. On this day the princess, Now called Briar Rose roams the nearby forest as she catches the attention of Prince Phillup. Unaware of each other's identities they end up falling in love. Later the fairies reveal to Briar Rose her identity as the princess and forbid her from seeing the man she met again. When Phillup goes to Aurora's cottage he is captured by Maleficent. The princess is taken to the palace and is lured by the curse of Maleficent to pick her finger. The princess dies and the fairies take it upon themselves to rescue Phillup and defeat Maleficent. Phillup slays her and awakens his princess with true love's kiss.
OKAY with that out of the way! Here are the very striking similarities.
A celebration of the Princess' birth:
Tumblr media
A group of protectors arrive to the event:
Tumblr media
An evil villiainess arrives, insulted at not being invited and curses the child to die:
Tumblr media
In their teen years a prince and princess encounter each other not knowing who they are, wary at first:
Tumblr media
They dance together as they fall in love:
Tumblr media
The two are torn apart and the princess cries denying her identity only wanting to be with her love:
Tumblr media
The princess falls victim to the curse by the villainess and dies (for Serenity this is a memory. She is cursed to die as an infant and ends up killing herself in grief of Endymion dying):
Tumblr media
The villian is defeated and the princess is awoken by a kiss from her prince:
Tumblr media
The prince and princess now together, live happily ever after:
Tumblr media
So YES Sailor Moon is the Sleeping Beauty of Shojo. Thank you very much.

Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation details neighboring town, transportation, fortunes, and pig care
Gematsu Source
Tumblr media
Publisher Spike Chunsoft, and developers Millennium Kitchen and Toybox have released new information and screenshots for summer vacation adventure game Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation introducing the neighboring town of Tonari, transportation methods, fortunes, and pig care.
Get the details below.
■ Yomogi’s Neighbor Town: Tonari
The next town over from Yomogi is Tonari (which translates to “Neighbor”). Tonari is known for its sights and has a plenty of interesting places such as a clock tower and newspaper company. Inside the clocktower is a local museum-like exhibit where you can learn the history of the Tonari and Yomogi area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is also a sunflower field on the route between Yomogi and Tonari. While the bus or train is a convenient method of transportation between the two towns, walking can also be a good option.
Tumblr media
■ The Residents of Tonari
Chiharu Momoyama (voiced by Rie Hikisaka)
A junior high school student who volunteers as a guide at the clock tower.
Tumblr media
Hideto (voiced by Shouya Chiba)
A reporter for the Tonari newspaper company always looking for his next story.
Tumblr media
■ Transportation
This game is set across large areas, including the towns of Yomogi and Tonari. Since it may be difficult to travel by foot all the time, it is recommended to use convenient public transportation methods such as the train or bus.
Bus
You can ride the bus with cash or a ticket. If you have a ticket, you can board the bus from anywhere without going to a bus stop. The destinations that you can select are limited to the bus stops registered in your “Destinations List,” so it is important to add new bus stops to your Destinations List whenever you come across one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Portable Toilets
Portable toilets can be found at construction sites and the like. By entering one, you are somehow instantly transported to the bathroom at the Ashitaba Lodge where you are staying for the summer. How it works is unknown, but it is convenient for when you want to get back home in a hurry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gliding
After you obtain a certain item, you will be even able to glide through the air.
Tumblr media
■ Love’s Fortunes
Love, one of the circus troupe members, reads fortunes for fun, and if you visit her room, she can read your fortune for the day. Your fortune will tell you where something is likely to happen that day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
■ Taking Care of the Pigs
The priest at the shrine takes care of the pigs behind the shrine, but every so often the pigs will escape. If you find a pig in town, you can keep it safe to help out the priest, and learn how to take care of the pigs yourself. You can also feed the pigs acorns (their favorite food).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation is due out for Switch on July 28 in Japan. Read more about the game here, here, here, and here.

A map for the region my bathhouse storyline takes place in, basically like an imaginary prefecture of Japan.....although technically the land is not really supposed to present IRL Japan, its just that this story is mainly inspired by Japanese culture and mythology lol (my other two stories/oc sets have wider range of inspirations)
UPDATE: I realized I forgot one important place from this "story" which is that beachside town where Yume's birth family - or well, the staff - live. I also decided to add some different symbols for villages vs bigger towns vs special spots like the Witch Guild.
Coupla notes below/image texts if you struggle to read them:
Only the bathhouse isle has the name in Japanese, because the translator I use isn't working for me rn; I might change the names to Japanese once things start working again. OTL
The "Ghost town" obviously wasn't called the ghost town before, but ever since people vanished, locals are too superstitious to call it by its name anymore.
Yume (the witch living in the witch-guild with her fam) is originally from the beachside city. It is called Odayaka, which translates to "calm/gentle/quiet" which is in reference to how people often go there to relax and enjoy the beach and the bathhouses located on the hillside.
The "demon" from butterfly village wasn't really banished, but more "adopted" by Yume's family to try and help him ease his curse.
Kureshima bathhouse owners are, of course, Murasaki family members, namely the son and daughter of the current family heads + their cousin. (This family is sort of the protagonist group of the story, though the protagonist protagonist is probs the adopted kid Yago lol)
The woman imaged in the Demon Hunter info box is the mother of the Chiba family, Kaede Chiba.
"Tosen" does in fact, live on that isle, and his real name is Gouken Shura. He is a special type of magic spirit known as Vigour Spirit, who represent different aspects of life. In Shura's case, he's also known as the "Fighting spirit."
The bridge leading to the Kureshima isle is not always open for visitors, and is more used by the residents to get to and from the isle, as the water route is typically clogged by visitor boats. It does open for guests as well, if the season is exceptionally busy.
The Sunset isle/Kureshima has a village of its own, mainly populated by staff who live there permanently + some special guests seeking refuge.
Eight Isles is naturally the biggest city in the region by a long shot. Jade Town and Butterfly valley are second biggest.
There are more, smaller settlement villages dotted about, but the map only shows the most notable farming ones/ones big enough to qualify as towns.
People don't know this, but Hanma is in fact the same "eldest son" who was spared by the assailant during the Murasaki mansion Massacre. (he was the culprit, he mainly turned against his family for their bigotry and arrogance, and to save his baby sister and then not-yet-wife Rikka, who was his sister's close friend/supportive older sister figure/bodyguard)

TOP IMAGE
Healing Water temple:
Led by a head priestess Erena Mizuka, it is a place for weary travellers to rest and for sick and injured to seek help for their ailments. Rumor has it she is not quite human, but a being fulfilling a long-made promise to protect the temple.
Kureshima bathhouse/Jade lake & Jade town:
Jade town with its entertainment districts is a popular traveller destination, a great place for visitors to go to anytime of the year. Those unfortunate who are in need of help may also find their way to the bathhouse in the middle of the lake. The isle and it’s owners are shrouded in mystery, and there are a lot of rumors surrounding them. As long as you aren’t a bad person and behave yourself though, your visit should be wonderful.
Region Capital/Murasaki mansion:
Eight Isles, the Capital and biggest city in the area, it is where the mysterious and influential Murasaki family has lived for generations. The family was mostly massacred by an unknown assailant decades ago, sparing only the eldest son and youngest daughter. The current family head, Hanma, is quite the recluse, and let’s his swordsman wife Rikka handle most of the public appearance work. Rikka is rumored to be a kitsune.
Riverbank Town:
The birthplace of moth-spirit Yaguro/Asahi. A small town known for its illegal activities from underground fighting rings to smuggled goods, wealthier visitors may secretly go there to get their hands on rarer artifacts.
Harvest Bay:
A rural farm village with the famous Chiba-family apple orchard. Home of the said family and their adoptive telepathic twins.
Butterfly valley/Lake:
A region known from their butterfly themed craftsmanship, as well as a legend of a terrifying demon haunting their grounds, attacking anyone who dares to venture out at night wearing their crafts. At least, up until an unknown witch rumoredly banished the demon with the help of the Murasaki family.
Ferryman's Isle:
A place the always engimatic local ferryman, Tosen is said to live in with his wife. It is all just a rumor, though.
Ghost village:
Once a buzzling town, the place was suddenly abandoned some years back. Nobody knows what happened, but there were rumors of a witchboy causing the disappearance of the locals.
BOTTOM IMAGE
Top right: Second biggest city in the area, a popular beach destination/second largest harbor of the region after capital, sat on a hillside. Yume’s birth family and their bathhouse business is located here.
Top middle: The area/small mountain range Snow-woman Ayame inhabits. Also the forest little moth-spirit Mari was found from.
Right: The Demon Hunter guild is supposedly located somewhere around here, though only members know how to get there as there’s seemingly no roads or river to travel.
Left: Moth-spirit Yoruga’s birth village. Very small, fairly superstitious place due to the proximity to the rumored Witch Guild.
Bottom: Rumored location of a now destroyed Chimera-village. Original home of the adoptive son of the Murasaki family, Yago, and his surviving family.

Miya's Backstory
Instead of making an entire post about Trofí and trying to format my document onto Tumblr's limited post editor, I'll just link my gdoc here.
Miya and her family come from a planet called Trofí, specifically residing in the Noimosýni sector; they lived there until Miya was about two years old (human age). The reason the Hoshiumi family decided to leave their home planet was due to rising concerns of violence and abuse perpetuated by the Fotiá, and Miya, whose quirk is Ancestral Ki, would’ve become a main target of them.
The Hoshiumi matriarchs had previously assumed they were safe from being invaded by the Fotiá, as the Noimosýni sector was the second strongest and second most secure sector on Trofi; however, the Fotiá managed to penetrate the Noimosýni sector, which caused a lot of turmoil and strife.
With the unsuspecting help of the Uchūbito’s, a Fotiá family, the Hoshiumi family managed to escape to Earth alongside them. This is how Miya became best friends with the youngest child of the Uchūbito family, Uchūbito Sayori.
They arrived on earth three years later—the fastest their latest tech could get them to their destination, but their interplanetary travel constantly improves—and landed in Okinawa, Japan.
The families resided in the mountains of Okinawa, bordered by a small, out of the way seaport village, and continued living as peacefully as possible while trying to adjust to Earth; however, after some time had passed, it was revealed through several scary incidents, that Miya’s human body suffered from some complications during synthesization. This was the beginning of Miya’s permanent admission into the hospital that her parents had established in the small community.
Despite being hospital-bound, Miya was able to go out every now and again due to her strong protests and tantrums, but not without her usual oxygen tank, heart monitor, and wheelchair (her usage of her legs began diminishing with each passing day). Occasionally Miya would sneak out of the hospital and explore the little village to meet as many of the villagers as she could since she only ever got to meet the primarily middle-aged and elderly people that were admitted to the hospital on a regular basis.
This is how Miya became friends with their future classmates: Chiba Akira, Nakano Kazue, and Hanamaki Senna–though Kazue would insist that they were not friends.
Despite Miya’s complications with her human body, she was sought after by the Uchūbito family–particularly Uchūbito Rekka, Sayori’s older brother.
Rekka had been the one to convince Miya that he was the only one on her side in regards to her desiring freedom, and around the time Miya was just seven years old, Rekka began to convince Miya that the village, the island, was not enough for her. For years, Rekka talked Miya into trusting him and his family over Miya’s own; he needed Miya’s full loyalty, convinced that, with Miya’s power, they were unstoppable, even if her parents were to intervene.
Rekka managed to drive a wedge between Miya and her family, and it all started with Maya, Miya’s twin sister. And it was easy, too, considering Maya had already been harboring a bit of resentment towards Miya—Maya had been born with nothing while Miya had been born with everything.
It was harder driving a wedge between Maki and Miya. The best Rekka could do was make it awkward for Maki to intervene between the animosity her other sisters started to accrue between each other—especially between Miya and Akina, who fought the worst.
After their parents left Earth and went back to their home planet to try and figure out what went wrong with Miya’s human synthesization, Miya’s medical care was all Akina’s responsibility. Akina generally cared about her sisters very much, and she was always a loving older sister; however, the bullying she faced by the village kids for not being human impacted her greatly. She wanted to protect her youngest siblings from the same ostracization she experienced, especially Miya, who was disabled on top of being an alien.
Needless to say, by the time Miya was fifteen to sixteen years old, her relationship with her family was practically ruined, which was precisely what Rekka had hoped for.
Unfortunately for Rekka, by the time he could enact the Uchūbito family plans to return to their home planet with Miya in tow, Class 1-A from the prestigious UA High School came to their village in order to help reinforce the village infrastructure in time for typhoon season.
Nothing grounded Miya to the village more than seeing hero students from the mainland—she had always heard about heroes and in particular, hero students her age, and she even saw bits and pieces of the UA Sports Festival on the television in her hospital room (which Akina would promptly turn off after every time Miya got her hands on the remote, somehow). But in all her life, Yuhi had never imagined seeing them in real life.
Rather than sticking by Rekka, Miya peeped on the hero students, generally from afar to avoid their attention, while desperately wanting to catch it at the same time. Miya knew that Rekka had a specific vision for the world he wanted her to see, but this was the world Miya actually wanted to see.
Miya ended up finally interacting with them one day, completely by accident, when she was playing with some neighborhood stray cats. She had been tailing one of the students the whole evening, wondering why he kept checking back in with the villagers he spent all day with and wandering around the neighborhoods over and over. The kid had big eyes, fluffy-looking hair, and oddly specifically placed freckles.
He seemingly always had a smile and a sense of determination on his face—it was interesting, even more interesting up close, when he walked up on Miya from behind and she almost fainted from shock.
From here, Miya and the boy—Midoriya Izuku, normally, but on duty, he was Deku, apparently—got into an awkward conversation that increasingly became animated. Miya became so enraptured in conversation, she hadn’t even noticed that she followed Midoriya Izuku all the way back to where his class had been stationed.
There, Miya met most of the class; apparently a certain “Bakugou Katsuki” and “Todoroki Shoto” couldn’t join them due to having not obtained their “provisional hero licenses”. Miya didn’t know what any of that meant, even when they tried to explain it to her, but it was fine. Regardless, it was a whirlwind of interactions—from enthusiastic greetings, tired greetings, and overall pleasant greetings, Miya savored all of them and their interesting personalities.
Meeting Class 1-A shifted something inside of Miya, which sparked the beginning of their desire for more than life on the island, line in a small village, and especially, life in a damn hospital.
So, for the remainder of Class 1-A’s time on the island, Miya stuck to all of them like glue, running herself ragged trying to keep up with their pace and be of use to them. Usually, Miya would be frustrated and embarrassed by her physical limitations and would shy away from interacting with others, but she was determined to make an impression on the Class 1-A kids in hopes that somehow, some way, they could be Miya’s ticked out of the village and into the “real world”.
Obviously, this didn’t sit well with Rekka, who continuously tried to talk Miya out of her obsession with Class 1-A, but Miya wasn’t having it. It got to the point where Rekka annoyed Miya so much that she ended up yelling at him and hitting him. Miya apologized to Rekka immediately, though, and clung to him like her life depended on it, but unbeknownst to Miya, the damage was already done.
If Miya wanted to destroy everything Rekka had carefully and painstakingly worked towards, then he was going to disregard Miya’s feelings entirely and take matters into his own hands–by force.
The day before the first projected storm, Miya spent it with Class 1-A as per usual; however, her heart nor mind was in it. Not only were her nerves on fire after upsetting Rekka, but her body truly couldn’t handle anymore hardwork. Miya was breaking down, physically and mentally, but she couldn’t bear to show this weak side of her, so she kept it all to herself and pushed herself harder than she should’ve.
Things further went awry due to the first typhoon hitting unexpectedly early, and it was much stronger than they all prepared for. And while Class 1-A scrambled to get the villagers and animals to safety, Miya was caught up in the chaos and not faring well at all. The intense weather surge made her physical condition worse, it seemed, and the only person who caught her in her time of need was Rekka.
Rekka grabbed Miya from behind, catching her off guard, and lead her off towards the forest, talking about “their” plans of leaving this planet and seeing more than this world had to offer. Miya struggled and tried to scream for help, but they were weak and helpless after days of pushing their body to its limits.
Luckily for Miya, Midoriya Izuku caught sight of what was happening and came to their rescue. He struggled with fending off Rekka in the midst of a raging storm, and throughout it all, Miya became more and more flustered and unnerved by the chaos.
Ultimately, Miya passed out, but she was soon awakened by her quirk: the raging storm awakened the full power of her hydro ki.
Everyone watched as Miya transformed into her evolved alien form and began to ascend, moving as if she were in a trance. Miya, uninhibited by the limitations of her human body, began to control the flow and intensity of the raging storm by stopping it altogether. It was almost as if they were in a movie. Miya, still unconsciously operating, moved through the small, wrecked village and rectified the damage. She soaked up the excess water, fixed all of the broken and messed up infrastructure, and healed all of the villagers and animals that were injured by the sudden storm.
By the end, Miya descended back to the ground, her body haven’t not reverted back to her human form, but rather her humanoid alien form. She was unconscious and, concerningly, unbreathing. Miya’s medical devices were going off, alerting her sisters that she was indeed in a medical crisis.
Miya’s friends who were used to her medical scares–Sayori, Akira, Senna, and Kazue–worked fast to get Miya to a hospital, allowing Class 1-A to continue helping the citizens around town who were apparently taken care of in the midst of Miya’s trance. Midoriya Izuku meant to turn his attention back to Rekka, but the man had left before being noticed.
In the end, Miya was in a coma for two weeks. Although Class 1-A had stayed for a while longer to continue helping the village during typhoon season, the worst seemed to have passed already, so before they could say their goodbyes and well-wishes to Miya, they had to return back to campus to start preparations for their cultural festival.
When Miya awoke, she was greeted by her sisters and by members of the Hero Public Safety Committee (HPSC). Apparently, word traveled back fast about Miya’s powers, and with more discussion about Rekka and what could’ve possibly triggered Miya’s quirk, the HPSC were insistent on taking Miya into their care.
While Miya’s sisters, particularly Akina, were against the idea, Miya was way more convinced. The hook, line, and sinker for her was the mention of being able to co-study at UA and stay with Class 1-A in their dormitory.
Akina tried to put her foot down about the situation, reminding Miya that she practically died after using her quirk and that her human form is essentially “broken”. But Miya shot Akina down by stating that if Miya stayed on the island, it would be easy for Rekka to try and kidnap her again since no one was ever there to care for her anymore as both Akina and Maki studied and worked on the mainland now. Akina didn’t respond and simply left the room, while Maki regrettably agreed to allow the HPSC and UA to take care of Miya for the time being.
And that is how Miya began training (unsuccessfully) to become a hero with the HPSC and UA High School.

My Second Life as a Love Interest
You were reincarnated as the love interest of the most iconic magical girl of all time. It could have been worse. You could have rolled the reincarnation die and ended up in world where death and violence was as mundane as buying groceries. You could have ended up a child soldier. You could have ended up as a fantasy slave. You could have ended up as the villain destined for gruesome death. But no, you're Chiba Mamoru and you just woke up from a car crash that killed both your parents.
It really could have been worse.
You're pretty sure you died the same way you survived. Your last memory from Before involved driving home after putting in waaaay too many hours at work. You likely fell asleep at the wheel because you have some kind of undiagnosed brain malfunction wherein you just slip into sleep without really noticing. The line between falling asleep and fainting has always been a little thin for you. You should have absolutely seen a doctor for it but you just… never had the time.
So you died as an overworked, underpaid little corporate toad.
It was not the most glorious of deaths. You left little behind except for your parents and your cat. Oh god. Your cat.
But see, there's the problem. You didn't have a lot in terms of relationships or a social network. You were a modern day hermit. You didn't spend time with many friends. You never got close to anyone. And, well, you died a virgin so that's a tell all right there.
It wasn't like you didn't want to. But relationships always seemed more trouble than they were worth. And well, you don't exactly have unbridled confidence in your value as a partner. Just thinking of your myriad neuroses is exhausting, it seemed like a terrible idea to inflict that onto someone else.
And now, you're expected to be Prince Endymion to Princess Serenity? One of the more well known romances in pop culture? You're supposed to be the love of someone's life??
On second thought, is it too late to be reincarnated as a child soldier instead?
