The low whistling from the kettle startled her from her reading. Gently placing the book down, Chloé got up and turned off the stove. Steam welcomed her unprepared self, causing her nose to scrunch up. Sighing, she poured the boiling water into the awaiting mug.

It was white. Plain, white, and average.

The tea was chamomile. It wasn't her favorite. After setting down everything on her desk, she faced the mirror hung on the wall just opposite to where she sat. Eye bags were more obvious now that she didn't wear make up, her posture was hunched, and she was wearing a shirt she swore she had on since the other day.

Or was it the weekend. Or last week.

She.... didn't really know. No, it's not that she didn't know.

She just didn't remember.

But she remembers how Marinette liked her tea. Remembers she would always wait until the kettle boils. Remembers she likes to sit by her desk while staring at her sketchbook, hoping for inspiration to hit.

She remembers her Mari insisting the mirror be placed where she could always see her reflection, be it by accident or muscle memory.

"You're beautiful," Marinette murmured as she softly combed Chloé's hair. They were both facing the mirror - an image of two smiling, contented women gazing back at them.

She remembers just maybe too much for her to move on.

“MLB SPOILERS: From what I've read from the leaked bible, it's pretty clear that Adrien is full of shit. Adrien will finally break off his ties with Chloe in the future because he finds out that the reason why Marinette has such a hard time with confessing her true feelings for someone she likes is for reasons related to Chloe. This will be seen as "the straw that broke the camel's back" moment, with Adrien finally standing up to Chloe and telling her to screw off. However, the reason why I don't buy it is because this moment comes FAR TOO LATE and only seems to come at all when it actively effects Adrien. 

Chloe is Marinette's BULLY. She's BEEN bullying Marinette in the entirety of the show's run. Not to mention that she's also been bullying, intimidating and manipulating not only the whole entire class, but even others outside of her class. She even treats her best friend terribly. Basically, she’s been a crappy person to anyone who isn't Adrien himself. 

Chloe’s BEEN a terrible person, but NOW??? ONLY NOW 5 seasons in, THIS situation in particular is Adrien’s breaking point??? Only now that Chloe messes with “the girl that he loves” is what sets everything off? I don’t think Adrien is a bad person, but I do think that he’s selfish. I understand why Adrien was friends with Chloe for all these years (because she was the only friend he had while growing up and he (somehow) sees “redeemable qualities” in her), but this situation doesn’t put him in a pretty good light. Chloe literally got away with being a terrible person, but it only matters to him now just because it directly affects HIM, not the fact that it affected literally everyone else. 

This kind of stuff is part of reason why people tend to not like Adrien, because the boy’s so oblivious, naive and even sometimes selfish about everything.”

My favorite Chloe OTP! On the surface, Chlonette might just look like your basic cute crackship or possible redemption/reformation story for Chloe, but thanks to this Chlonette server I'm in (with these awesome people I might add), Chlonette is a lot more complex and has more layers than you think. My reasons for shipping it are a possible Chloe redemption/reformation, Chloe can of course treat Marinette better, enemies to lovers (though in my case, it’s enemies, to hesitant friends, to friends and THEN to lovers), they generually look interesting together, and Chloe already has (or did have) a crush on Ladybug, so that's to assume if she had an crush on Ladybug, she might be her type.

Also, before S4-5, I saw Marinette (other than Miss Bustier, Sabrina, and possibly Adrien) being really the only one who truly understands Chloe. I feel that Mari being Ladybug is more prominent when it comes to this. Also, I feel that Marinette and Chloe are a lot alike when you really think about it when you take away their different upbringings. People dislike these two together for obvious and understandable reasons (the way Chloe canonically treats Marinette, Chloe's a bully, Marinette gave up on Chloe etc.), but I personally think it has potential (or at least it did, until canon/Astruc ruined it).

Adribrina isn't a bad ship. Two friends of mine got me invested in this ship (and it also comes from the fact that I also ship Lukabrina). From what I’ve gathered, people ship because it’s “cat and dog” shipping and the lack of interactions these two had in the series. So basically it completely resonates from potential, which is understandable. I also think it would be a bit interesting to see these two interact.

Sorry. I know it’s a copout, but I legitimately feel REAL indifferent on Bustier right now. Her teachings at first came off as wholesome and understandable, but once you really look into it, not only she’s an enabler to Chloe’s bad behavior, but throws her actual good student under the bus and doesn’t even bother to take up for her against Lila (Ladybug episode). Then later ends up throwing Chloe under the bus too once she starts to “finally understand Chloe’s true nature”. Which I GET the intent behind this, but I don’t like it because SHE’S one of the many adults who enabled her in the first place, but now she wants to give up on her!?

“BUT Chloe got her fired even though she’s pregnant!” It doesn’t matter? I’m not trying to sound cruel here (because that really is messed up), but I just think as the grown adult who choose to enable Chloe and gave her the benefit of the doubt (compared to what she did for her other students btw), does she really have the right to bail on her now??? I’m not trying to sound insensitive or unsympathetic of Bustier’s situation, but I just think it’s not all on Chloe. I don’t think Miss Bustier is a bad person, but some of the stuff she does is seriously questionable.

I didn’t necessarily “hate” Andre in the past, but now? He’s a corrupt politician and a bad father who gave up on his own daughter AND replaced her with a girl who’s not even 💯 his. I also hate how he’s somehow more sympathetic than the 14 year old girl who he failed to raise property. It’s so dumb that it’s constantly said that Chloe is “evil” because she doesn’t want to lose her privileges, but who GIVES HER those privileges in the first place??? So that automatically falls on her PARENT.

me watching people misunderstand my post about Robin from the other day when that post was less about how Steve impacts Robin’s arc and more about what Robin does for Steve as a character oh I am in the pits of hell

I should’ve worded that post better but when I said that Steve doesn’t impact Robin’s character, I wasn’t talking about his acceptance of her, I was talking about how that person was Steve out of all the characters. Robin coming out to Steve was obviously super important for her character and being accepted helped her become more confident, but why did they choose for the person accepting Robin to be Steve specifically? Robin could’ve come out to another character where she’s accepted and it would’ve impacted her in a similar way, but from the beginning they chose Steve. So how does being friends with a lesbian change how we view Steve? That’s what I mean when I say they used Robin to give Steve redemption for his homophobia. I’m not saying Robin’s entire character was created to redeem Steve, but her friendship with him was created to do that. The writers giving a previously homophobic man a lesbian best friend wasn’t an accident.

So, I’ve had some time to cool off and think.

I think Chloe is being added to my “Characters I won’t discuss.” list. I’m sick of her, I'm sick of talking about her, I'm sick of seeing her.

Now, while I won’t take back what I said, Apart from saying Chloe being made to live with Audrey was “Karma” That wasn’t cool. Nobody deserves to live with an abuser. And honestly I think both Audrey and Andre should be in prison too. (Same with Tomoe.) So yeah, I fucked up there, and I’m sorry.

But I will say this, I am NOT an abuse apologist. And calling me one is extremely hurtful. I’ve been abused. I’ve been in the same situation Adrien, and Kagami, and Marinette have been in my entire life. 

So seeing someone like my bullies, like my abusive sibling, like the people who made my life hell and still make it tricky. It felt good. After having my whole life being told “See it from their perspective, it’s not their fault, be the bigger person” Yeah, it felt good. It was cathartic to see them be punished. 

But Chloe isn’t that person. She’s a character. A character people see potential in I just can’t. I understand it’s frustrating to see that wasted.

To anyone I hurt with my words, I am sorry. Art is more about what you get out of it anyway. So, if you feel anything about it, Hey who am I to say you’re wrong?

But I still enjoy Miraculous, I still enjoy goofing off about with my friends, and girlfriend, And I still enjoy writing Wings of deception.  So I’m going to stick to the parts I enjoy.

“At this point, I just think both Chloe stans who dislike Marinette and Marinette stans who dislike Chloe are just giant hypocrites. They constantly take up for their faves, but then talk trash about the other and always compare them to their fav to make them seem better by compassion. Both Marinette and Chloe have done both right and wrong, and denying that makes you look like a hypocrite lol You can’t hate on Marinette and call her unfair, a shitty person, irresponsible and having toxic behavior and then turn around and wish Chloe to be the main protagonist instead despite similar reasons (and same way around). It can’t only be right just because your bias. It’s even their both right or their both wrong. It’s not a one-way street??? 

If you just personally like Chloe over Marinette or vice versa, that’s perfectly fine. But it means it’s YOUR preference, that doesn’t mean that it’s the best decision for the plot. I do admit though that I personally think that both characters have depth in their own way lol Marinette sometimes doesn’t show behavior of someone that we should be routing for, but I can give her a pass because she usually means well and has a big weight on their shoulders for a girl her age (14). Also, she’s not only a child, but also a flawed protagonist, not a bad one. There’s a difference. Yes, Chloe’s a cruel, egotistical, selfish and vain bully, but for the most part I can also give her a pass because I blame the adults in her life more than her, she has a crappy parent, another that enables her, and she’s still a child that needs to learn and grow. 

And that’s thing; it’s fine if you like chaotic/flawed characters, I just wish the fandom would hold their favs more accountability for their actions. I also think you shouldn’t shame others for liking one of the girls, but then you turn around and like the other and act like she doesn’t do wrong. It’s double standards lol”

(vent) Again I am not touching my other interests here often, but I think Thomas Astruc (Mir4culous L4dybug) is one of the WORST examples of this meme amongst the showmakers:

Like... imagine writing an absolute textbook example of the mary sue character who is instantly talented in everything she does, the super ultra skilled designer and artist recognised by world wide celebrities for her skill, repeatedly hired by celebrities to do commissions for them, loved by everyone, one of the best video-gamer, apparently can invent complex mechanisms, is "the best Miraculous holder and the best holder of a ladybug miraculous who ever lived" (in 5000+ years!), instantly masters every miraculous she holds the first time, while also always getting away with her awful actions (if not getting rewarded for them) and taking up so much screen time that the supposed second main character (whose whole potential was assassinated to make him goofy, annoying and useless without this woman) might as well not exist

And when you DO address that, you are claimed to be some sort of sexist who just hates to see the girlboss wi- I mean, can't handle to see female lead or whatever. Not just that, but also claiming another character who was abused and neglected by her mother to the point of living basically without her, has god awful father that absolutely fails to act like a PARENT and instead just spoils her with gifts and favours and only had two whole friends in her entire life is evil just for the sake of evil and can never change and would not WANT to change because "she would not want to give away her PWIWWILEGES UWU".

That's not feminism, that's 'how do you do fellow kids'. That's the example of a boomer learning what ideals these darn modern kids support and trying to jump on the bandwagon without actually understanding any of this... and ironically ending up hurting the exact people you try to cater to. Also all mentioned characters are 14-15 years old.

Sigh... Sometimes I just wish show makers stopped trying to jump onto ideas they clearly do not understand. This is always just so embarrassing to watch.

today someone told me that autistic people cannot love you back. the way she described it was “they’re like my dog, she lets me love her but she won’t love me back”. i’m still angry about it, because as an autistic person i love SO DEEPLY and SO STRONGLY that i often end up getting hurt because of it. and every autistic person i’ve ever seen has people they love and adore, but because we don’t show love in a way that’s acceptable to allistic people, they assume we’re just incapable of it. it made me furious, to stand there and have this complete stranger tell me how i love. as if she knows anything about how we show our love and affection to others???? i try my hardest to have faith in humanity but god it is difficult sometimes :/ have other autistic people experienced this? it’s so infuriating, i was so upset that i couldn’t do anything except stare at her
