I also heavily resent the ever-present implication in mainstream media that at all touches on trauma that we cannot have any sympathy for Bad Victims. That it's evil to write a sympathetic Bad Victim. Hell, that it's bad to portray one at all at times. Writing a victim of trauma who's an addict or self-destructive is already an edge case-- writing trauma survivors who end up actually hurting someone else, being chronically "treatment"-resistant or having inconvenient ptsd, perpetuate the cycle, or are just kind of a total dick is considered an evil move. Instead of like. An actually complex and interesting artistic choice.
Idk. It pisses me off a lot how often Bad Victims[TM] are brushed under the rug and if you dare to speak of them/make art of them, let alone SYMPATHIZE with them you're an irredeemable monster. And that's just fictional characters. Don't even get me started on the way people treat actual people who have ptsd in a way that's at all inconvenient and problematic in their opinion.

Once my friend told me that he felt Christian imposter syndrome sometimes because he had never had a big, life altering encounter with God. But we encounter God everywhere. It's in the way you let me sit on your couch and ramble about a breakup when we barely knew each other. It's in sunshine. Laughter. The faces of my friends who have never set foot in a church. It's in all the people who have shown me grace and mercy when I wholly didn't deserve it. It's the ache you've been trying to explain. It's the way that birds just know when to push their babies out of the nest. The way that I have found myself back in church even though no one would blame me if I hadn't. The way that we, creatures from a miniscule part of the universe, not only wanted to, but taught ourselves how to look into deep space. The sound of water flowing along a creek. It's the rhythm of the ocean, beating since before our species existed. You can go your whole life without having a big, come-to-jesus, altar call moment when you were "saved," and that's ok. Your faith doesn't have to run on adrenaline highs and intensity. God's in the still small voice. All the little miracles around you.

The Enunciation.
JOKE-OGRAPHY:
In this story, Jesus mentions to His followers that He's troubled by the fate He's about to endure, but instead of praying to be spared from that fate, He prays only that His Father uses it to glorify Himself. Jesus is setting an example of ultimate humility and deference to God's plan. God replies to Jesus, but His voice catches the crowd off-guard. Was that really a voice in the clouds, or just thunder? An angel, or a storm? In this cartoon, one astute crowd-dweller asks whether they should be more afraid of a storm which threatens "elocution" (clear speech, like from an angel), or a storm which threatens "electrocution" (dangerous injury by electric shock, like from a lightning bolt). Another even astuter crowd-dweller answers him quickly, saying that being murdered by nature's taser is way worse than well-enunciated words.
