No but like Colman Domingo wasn’t wrong when he said Sam Levinson “likes to smash expectations” cuz that was literally what he did all throughout S2 of Euphoria!
What most fans thought would happen:
1.) Cassie ended S1 basically saying “Fuck relationships. I don’t want that to be my main focus anymore” and we thought she would find her self-worth and stop seeking validation from men because of her daddy issues.
2.) Maddy would still be with Nate’s abusive ass and they’d be that evil toxic couple that ruins everyones lives like they did to poor Tyler.
3.) The Jules vs. Nate storyline would still be one of the main conflicts in the series.
4.) Nate would either die or go to jail.
5.) Kat and McKay’s storylines would progress further.
6.) Kat and Ethan (aka the best couple in S1) would have some kind of relationship drama, but would be able to bounce back from it.
7.) It would be revealed that Lexi has a crush on Rue and she’d either confess at some point and they’d get together or she’d find someone that treats her better than S1-Rue.
8.) Fez would either get killed by Mouse or continue to be a side character with like 3 minutes of screen time.
___
What we got:
1.) Cassie seeking validation from NATE JACOBS OF ALL PEOPLE!
2.) It didn’t take 5 seasons for Maddy to learn that she can live without Nate.
3.) The Jules vs. Nate storyline was pretty much forgotten about except for like 4 very short scenes that showed Nate’s creepy ass was still thinking about Jules (don’t get me started on that “blink and you’ll miss it” flash of Jules while Nate and Cassie were fucking 😭)
4.) Nate’s bitch ass is still alive, not in jail, and he got one of the happiest endings of the season 🙄
5.) Kat turned into a background character cuz Sam Levinson was mad that Barbie didn’t want to do whatever weird storyline he had written for her and McKay faded from existence.
6.) Kat and Ethan had relationship drama and certainly DID NOT bounce back from it 😭
7.) We still don’t know if Lexi had a crush on Rue, but she sure did find somebody to love…But absolutely NO ONE was expecting it to be FEZ!!!
8.) Fez was moved up to series regular status and had tons more scenes this season.
_____
I say all that to say, don’t be surprised if some important storyline from last season gets dropped or is only mentioned a few times in the next season. Cuz if it’s one thing Sam Levinson is gonna do, it’s build up a storyline only to let it go absolutely no where.

this is not another rant on how horribly sam levinson wrote christopher mckay
tw: assault mention
sam can write abt white characters like cassie and nate being fragile abt race and playing victim when it’s rue and maddy (actual poc) who are harmed by their actions and seen as the aggressors for confronting them, but never properly race impacting poc itself? yk? a black screenwriter would’ve at least considered the racial implications of mckay being sexually assaulted by his predominantly white teammates. it would’ve taken at least 2 functioning braincells to unpack that in s2 so it’s not left dangling in the air and so it doesn’t look like sam enjoys exploiting black characters as trauma bait to appear woke then disregard them. bc sam has yet to add algee back into the cast and didn’t think that thru, we have a black character who’s gone thru immense sexual assault trauma but it’s cassie being infantilized even during mckay’s trauma that’s the focus. and notice how i’m not even disregarding how awful mckay treats her at times, but the moment u acknowledge what mckay went thru solely and how it correlates to race, cassie stans who are just as oblivious to why race matters act like i’ve said otherwise. the show is going to fall off the longer issues like that are tied w a pretty bow and forgotten about. which is a shame bc i had so much faith in this show to do better by mckay. and it’s really a shame because i expected so much more from a show that prides itself on tackling tough issues w/o glamorization. it is pretty damn glamorous to just throw out the storyline of a black man who’s been assaulted to focus on infantilizing his white girlfriend during said scene and making her the focus of HIS trauma.
i remember watching euphoria the summer after it came out and i had never seen anything like it. besides the nudity scenes i thought were a bit excessive, i thought it had something of its own regarding important social issues to keep it going. but they can’t even address a sexual assault scene they created that has strong racial undertones toward a black man, so it makes me wonder whether mckay was ever meant to exist as a character in his own right at all, or if he was just used as shock value and forced to take shit and be used for cassie’s character development, while nate got to be coddled and have his storyline expanded and have his own internal struggles to unpack outside of cassie.

✨ I am making Euphoria episodes ✨
And would like to know what kind of content/material you want to see!
Ideas are not limited as I intend to make X-Rated content involving the cast as well.
Anything is possible; school scenes, parties, fights, drama, making up, drug taking, shopping, joy riding, orgies…sappy cutesy things ✨
Full-on scenarios/plots are welcome!
It can be considered a series although some episodes can be random... Maybe the plots can be per episode instead of trying to go along with a storyline…
The only parental figures I intend to make is Leslie Bennett, Suze Howard, and even Kitty O’Neill. I should add Cal but we shall see.
Other than that, we will have:
⭐️Fezco
⭐️Lexi
⭐️Rue
⭐️Gia
⭐️Jules
⭐️Cassie
⭐️Maddy
⭐️Ashtray
⭐️Nate
⭐️McKay
⭐️(MAYBE) Elliot 🙄…
Let me know what you want!
Side note: will be watchable on Patreon 🎬

Mckay X female reader
She never expected that she was going to be in this situation, but she was damn happy she is. Being here in bed, underneath him felt like a dream come true. She's liked Mckay for as long as she could remember and with Cassie finally out of the way she was finally able to shoot her shot. She just didn't think she was going to be in his bed that same night.
Arching her back she moaned as Mckay rubbed her thigh right next to where she needed him most. The feeling of his lips on her stomach made her feel things no one's ever made her feel. Flipping them over she quickly took over, taking off her shirt he quickly got to work on her bra. Throwing their clothes in a pile who knows where in his room. The only sounds to be heard was skin connecting with skin, and the moans of pleasure. She was close and so was he. The hard thrusts he was giving her was amazing, he was hitting her in all the right spots. With a moan of his name, she was cumming. The feeling of her cumming around his cock was amazing and he couldn't control himself. He pulled out coming on her stomach.
What really got to her was the after care. He made sure she was okay, cleaning her off and helping her put on some comfortable clothes. He was a dream come true up until she had to leave. With a promise of meeting again she left with one final kiss.

Just some really nice dark caps from Vegas. Normally I get quite exasperated at how dark the lighting sometimes gets on SGA but it was just perfect here.

Your favourite Euphoria moments+ favourite man?
Any moment between Fez and Lexi. They provided so much peace throughout the show and the little bits we did see of their relationship were so pure and adorable! I hope they are endgame and aren’t done dirty like Kat and Ethan cuz they are the least toxic ship on the show!
Other than Fez and Lexi scenes, all the music video-like aesthetic moments the show had were pretty nice. I have my problems with Sam Levinson and his writing, but I’d be lying if I said that man can’t direct his ass off!
My favorite Euphoria men are Fez, Ali, the potential that McKay had before he got written out of the show, and Ethan (hope they don’t ruin him next season now that Kat isn’t in the show anymore)

"THE SUSPICIONS OF MR. WHICHER: THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE" (2013) Review
Tumblr media
"THE SUSPICIONS OF MR. WHICHER: THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE" (2013) Review
Over a decade ago, the ITV network aired a television adaptation of Kate Summerscale's 2008 true life crime book, "The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher or The Murder at Road Hill House", starring Paddy Considine. The movie proved to be such a success that producer Mark Redhead had followed up with three other television productions featuring the main character, Jack Whicher. The first of these sequels was 2013's "THE SUSPICIONS OF MR. WHICHER: THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE".
The 2013 television movie began with Jack Whicher coming to the aid of a wealthy middle-age woman, when a young thief snatches her purse inside a London pub in London. After retrieving her purse, Whicher discovers that the woman, Susan Spencer, is searching for her missing niece, a 16 year-old girl named Mary Drew. Miss Spencer learns of Whicher's old position as a police detective and hires him to find the missing girl. Whicher eventually discovers Mary's brutally murdered body inside the police morgue. Both eventually learn that before her death, Mary had given birth to a child and someone had stolen a family heirloom from her. Miss Spencer hires Whicher to act as her private consultant and find Mary's killer.
When I first saw "THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE", I had assumed the story began sometime after the events of 2011's "THE SUSPICIONS OF MR. WHICHER: THE MURDER AT ROAD HOUSE HILL". It took a rewatch of this second television movie for me to realize that it was set during the events of the 2011 movie - sometime between the four or five years between Mr. Whicher's failure to get the killer prosecuted for murder and the latter's eventual confession. I was able to ascertain this conclusion, due to the hostile behavior of Police Commissioner Richard Mayne toward Whicher and the one of the supporting character's comments. This setting also explained Whicher's occasional doubts regarding his skills as a detective. Now whether the other two Whicher television movies that followed were also set during this period is a matter I will eventually discover.
Unlike "THE MURDER AT ROAD HOUSE HILL", "THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE" proved to be a genuine "whodunnit" story. This particular case was not some true crime narrative. And Whicher did not discover the antagonist's identity until the finale act. I am not saying that this particular difference made the 2013 television movie an improvement over the first one. But in a way, it felt a little refreshing to view a murder mystery/period drama, instead of a mere true life case set in the far past. "THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE" started as an investigation into the disappearance of a well-born adolescent managed to transform into a lot more. Like "THE MURDER AT ROAD HOUSE HILL", this story also proved to be a family drama beset with murder, betrayal and corruption. But unlike the 2011 movie, greed also play a major role in "THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE". I thought screenwriter Neil McKay and director Christopher Menaul handled the movie's narrative very well, with a minor exception or two. I also admired how McKay used the unresolved events of THE MURDER AT ROAD HOUSE HILL" to not only provide the Whicher character as an emotional obstacle for him to overcome, but also an excuse to place him in the dangerous situation that he found himself in the movie's final act.
I do have a few complaints about the plot for "THE MURDER IN ANGEL LANE". And it centers around a small group of quibbles regarding the television movie's final act. Whicher's investigation led him to a third visit at an insane asylum, where he found himself incarcerated as a patient. A part of me felt relieved that this particular scenario lasted less than five minutes. However, another part of me found this sequence rushed and contrived for it did not take Whicher long to receive help in making his escape. Following on the heels of the asylum sequence, Whicher finally confronted the murderer. But he did so alone . . . and without contacting his old friend, Chief Inspector Adolphus "Dolly" Williamson or other members of the Metropolitan Police. I understand why Neil McKay had written the confrontation scene this way. I simply found it implausible and wish he could have created another way to close the case.
I certainly had no complaints about the movie's production values. David Roger returned to the "MR. WHICHER"series to serve as production designer. As he did for "THE MURDER AT ROAD HOUSE HILL", Roger managed to re-create the look and style of early 1860s Britain with the additional work of Paul Ghirardani's art direction and the set decorations of Jo Kornstein, who had also worked on the "ROAD HOUSE HILL" production. Only in this production, his vision extended to the streets of London. Tim Palmer served as the film's cinematographer. I thought he did a solid job, but his work did not exactly blow my mind. Lucinda Wright also returned to serve as the movie's costume designer. As she did for the 2011 television movie, her work for "THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE" perfectly recaptured the early-to-mid 1860s without being either shoddy or over-the-top.
Paddy Considine returned to reprise his role as Jack Whicher. As he had done in the first movie, the actor did an excellent job of quietly capturing the character's reserve nature, intelligence and skill for criminal investigation. However, Considine managed to add an extra touch of poignancy, as he project Whicher's occasional bouts of insecurity in the wake over the Road House Hill case and his minor failures during his investigation of this case. Both William Beck and Tim Piggott-Smith reprised their roles as "Dolly" Williamson and Commissioner Mayne from from the first film. Like Considine, both actors gave first-rate performances. And both added extra touches to their performances - especially in their characters' attitudes toward Whicher - in the wake of the Road House Hill debacle. Olivia Colman provided the movie's emotional center as the well-born Susan Spencer, who hired Whicher to first, find her niece Mary Drew and later, find the latter's killer. She and Considine, who had co-starred in the 2007 comedy, "HOT FUZZ", worked very well together. Shaun Dingwall gave a very subtle performance as Inspector George Lock, the main investigator of Mary's murder and the only one willing to give him a chance in helping the police. The television movie also featured solid performances from Mark Bazeley, Alistair Petrie, Billy Postlewaite, Angela Terence, Justine Mitchell, Sean Baker, Sam Barnard, Christopher Harper and Paul Longely.
Of the four "MR. WHICHER" television movies, I must admit that "THE SUSPICIONS OF MR. WHICHER: THE MURDER ON ANGEL LANE" is my least favorite. I believe the last fifteen to twenty minutes had been marred by some contrived writing that I believe had rushed the narrative's pacing. However, I still believe it was a first-rate production in which screenwriter Neil McKay had created an intriguing whodunnit involving a major family feud, betrayal and greed. And director Christopher Menaul, along with a talented cast led by Paddy Considine had skillfully conveyed McKay's story to the screen.

mckay had to be crazy.
when they broke up, mckay swore off setting foot in the school again but word gets around of a play lexi is doing.. and color him a little curious as to see what had been going since he vowed to stay away. mckay watched with a blank expression as everything unfolded on stage, from cassie’s meltdown, to maddy chasing her off the stage & into the hallways.
someone had to go check on her, that was the first thing in his mind. though the two had broken up, it didn’t stop him from.. from being a good person, a.. a shoulder of support, maybe if cassie had needed it. so when he saw her sitting out in the empty hallway, resting by some lockers & nursing the injuries she sustained during her fight with maddy, mckay had silently moved to take the spot next to her-- pulling his knees up to his chest. eyes silently finding their way to hers, a look of concern in his brown hues as he looks her over.
‘‘--its stupid of me to ask if you’re.. okay when you don’t.. y’know, don’t look okay. we don’t gotta’ talk.. or anything. just know i’m here.’‘

Tonight I’m feeling all kinds of nostalgia. I want to see Dan and Casey on my TV telling me about The Sports. I want to watch John Sheppard get so emotionally constipated that he'd rather fly his F302 into a sun rather than tell Rodney how he feels, while Parrish goes on and on about some new plant until Lorne kisses him silly. I want Merlin to get kidnapped and watch Arthur menace every single person in his kingdom until Merlin is safe. I want to read about Bitty baking a few pies for the Haus while Ransom & Holster jam out, Lardo & Shitty get high on the Reading Room, Chowder & Caitlin snuggle, Nursey & Dex argue about every. little. thing. and Jack comes to the Haus unexpectedly and wraps Bitty up in his arms. I want Monroe to torture Nick Burkhardt with some new vegan recipe and they play argue until they get called to Grimm duties. I want Donald Strachey to take Timothy Callahan by the hand, put down his martini, and dance one more slow song in the moonlight.
I miss all my boys tonight.

Reich of Love (2018)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Movies about black Germans during the Holocaust should be made, the history and stories need to be told. What those movies don't need to be is a black German girl falling in love with a nazi.
I understand it probably happened. And that needs to be discussed also. Stockholm Syndrome is a term for a reason. The desire to be wanted and to be seen as the same or equal exists. But those stories need to be told as such, not in some secret glances, meeting in the woods romance.
If we're telling this story I need to understand why a BLACK girl would risk her life for nazi peen. They need to show me how no matter how hard her mother tries to explain or understand what her daughter is going through it's just not enough. I need to see Leyna's mother trying and failing to de-program the antisemitic & racist nationalist education and propaganda her daughter is being fed daily. I need to see what stereotypes the racist Germans are perpetuating on to her that she doesn't fit and her not understanding why they think that and why and how she tried not to enact. I need to see her looking at a National Geographic African photo spread and wondering if she's from them or comparing herself to them. (Negative & Positive). They need to show me the isolation of being the only black person. I need to see her watching other girls hang out laughing and smiling while she sits alone fantasizing about having friends. I need to see her liking a boy and maybe he likes her but his friends appear and he disses her and joins in on their racist taunts. I need to see her talking about Germany as a 'We' and a teacher saying she is not a German. I need to feel the loneliness of this black girl to understand why this nazi boy is the person for whom she finds herself pining.
And even still after seeing and feeling all that desperation, loneliness, isolation, and desire to belong I still don't want to see this Black girl and nazi boy relationship romanticized.
I also understand there were Germans who joined the nazi military as a means for survival and safety. Those stories should probably be told. But I DO NOT need them to be intertwined in a Black German during the holocaust romance story.
People, including her friend, are being killed in the streets and she's worried about some pink nazi peen. Not even in a "I need him to survive" way.
Amma Asante needs help.
