I love using Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls on my Ineffable Husbands playlist but I always remember that it was used in that fucking City of Angels movie where Nicholas Cage plays an angel and meets Meg Ryan's character and he falls in love with her and then he willingly falls so he can become human to be with her and while he's doing that she's on her fucking bicycle and gets hit by a car or something and fucking dies and that's the movie. That's literally all I fucking remember about the movie.

I've been caught up with @ashadeintheshade's City of Angels for a bit now (for 8 chapters to be exact, I'm usually interacting on my main @void-ptr) and I've been in an art block, so there was truly no better time to try my hand at some fanart to get back into the swing of things. Here's my take on Shade's Erik, who wears a hyper realistic mask and wig! With some influence from a head cannon post on her blog, of course.

Hope you don't mind I went with the costume that Piterman wears on stage, shade! I ended up liking it better but I have a grey button up alternative I'll put under the cut if you're interested.

I could text dump about how much I love this fic, but honestly just go read it and peep in the comments from chapter 10 onward if you want to know how much I've been enjoying reading it. Make sure you leave her a comment if you end up loving it too. ✨
