The in-universe views on war are weirdly post-WW1 considering Fodlan is clearly based on medieval Europe. I think it would have been much more interesting if (at least pre time skip) there was more of a pre-ww1 consensus of War is Glorious! War is how we show our superiority, our love for our country! War is how we become heroes! They’re at an officer’s academy for Sothis’s sake, I expect this kind of attitude to be particularly prevalent there.

(Especially from the Faerghus kids, and especially especially from Ingrid and Ashe who explicitly want to become knights.)

(Adrestia trading even more on its ancient Roman influence here would also work well)

(Liecester kids I could see being more wary, as Liecester is more merchant-driven and war interferes with trade and is bad for profits, unless you’re selling weapons)

I want to see them all eager when Edelgard declares war, finally a chance to prove themselves on a real battlefield!

Then present this as a contrast to post skip where everyone is exhausted from five years of fighting and more in agreement that war sucks and we all just want the fighting to be over.

A word of advice to video game designers: whatever your enemy loot drop rates are, just double it. Because I guarantee they’re too low right now.

Unrewarding loot grinding sucks, no one likes killing 50 of an enemy type and only getting 3 drops, especially if that drop is a crafting material that they need 50 of.

Why doesnt Fantasy Life have vanity slots? It gives me all these fun yet stat-worthless clothes from tailoring but there’s never any reason to wear them! Of course I’m not taking off my holy armor just to prance around in a swimsuit, even if its a really cute swimsuit

botw is so beautifully designed even its menu sounds are pleasing

some games have menu sounds so obnoxious I have to mute my switch when using the menu for extended periods (looking at you, fire emblem three houses), but botw menu sounds are just so nice and calming

I want everything in my life to make botw menu sounds when I interact with it

As much as I love The Angst of former slave Anakin struggling to call Jedi ‘Master’ because he only has the worst associations with the word (and I do love The Angst), I also think it’s hilarious for Obi-wan to be the one angsting over it and finally working up the nerve to ask Anakin if it bothers him and Anakin going like “?? No?? Why would it?? Basic is barely spoken on Tatooine, I always referred to my owners by the Huttese word, which isn’t at all ambiguous.”
