Style changes in animation from R1 to R2.
The first season had rounder, more CLAMP-like faces and bigger eyes, while the second season had more stylized and sharper faces.

I think one of the funniest things in Code Geass is that like. People'll say stuff aggressively out of context to be funny, but the context is worse, the context is even funnier, the context is that these very grandiose, serious terrorists are just as aware that this situation is absurd as the audience is, and that doesnt stop them-

can’t believe I’m gonna say this but the way to fix code geass would be to give it more episodes

I'm fine if szll doesn't win the homoerotic betrayals polls, but I would be remiss not to at least try submitting a context writeup for them

What was C.C.'s wish? And what kind of relationship does C.C. with Lelouch?
Tumblr media
Today I'm going to get into swampy water because for the first time on this page I'm going to address CC's wish and I'm going to take her relationship with Lelouch very seriously. Lelouch and C.C.'s relationship is one of the most misunderstood in the series. Honestly, I think very few fans understand all the relationships in Code Geass. What sets Lelouch and CC apart is that their relationship is highly idealized for the wrong reasons. In other words, fans love the idea they have of Lelouch and CC's relationship, rather than what it is. This time I'm not going to talk about the headcanons of the shippers, I'm going to talk about the canon and in order not to go on too long, I'll limit myself to talking about the core of the relationship and to do so, I have to explain what C.C.'s wish is.
So what was C.C.'s true desire? She longed for love in its purest form. An unconditional love because deep down she wanted to be recognized as human and that is the cornerstone on which the relationship between Lelouch and C.C. is built. C.C.'s past shows us that she was dehumanized at an early age: by her condition as a slave that defined her as an inferior being before her masters, by the people on whom she used her Geass who reduced her to an object of desire, by the nun who used her as a tool for her own purposes and for the code that turned her into the Immortal Witch we know. This human degradation in combination with deep emotional deficiencies from childhood and the traumatic experiences we saw in episode 15 of R1 led to the development of low self-esteem and the appearance of suicidal tendencies.
Tumblr media
C.C.'s death wish, in fact, is a manifestation that C.C. has no self-love. I have read some opinions that suggest that C.C. is self-deprecating, but I disagreed with them because C.C. didn't love herself long before she met the nun and beyond feeling guilty for giving Geass to Lelouch and the children of the Geass Cult, she never reproaches herself nor do we see her devalue herself as they have made other characters with themselves (Suzaku, Nina, Euphemia…). So I don't think she had an opinion of herself until she assumed her condition as selfish Immortal Witch (which is a stage in her life when she had morality removed from her). And you can't hate yourself if you didn't love yourself at some point.
It isn't so simple to see that C.C. has low self-esteem since her arc has a philosophical approach and in that sense it differs from Rolo's arc, which also starts from the theme of "love" and the thesis that "love humanizes you"; but the message reaches us much more directly because it doesn't have a sieve. C.C. justifies her suicidal plan by appealing to passive nihilism. "Life is absurd and has no meaning because there is no love, there is pain and if life has no end it means that the pain is eternal." Faced with this terrible conclusion, C.C. thinks it is better to take her own life. But death doesn't represent a solution. In reality, just as it is for Suzaku, death is an escape from the suffering that C.C. feels and, at the same time, it is a way of becoming aware of her humanity by recognizing the existence of death; because, as Martin's character said in the anime Monster, "nobody really wants to die."
Tumblr media
This is one reason why C.C. refused to give her code to Charles at the last minute and didn't force Mao and Lelouch to take her code, preferring to abandon them. The other reason is that C.C. isn't so petty as to condemn them against their will to an immortal life since she felt affection for them and in turn, Lelouch and Mao wouldn't be able to take the code, knowing that C.C. wanted to end her life. The problem is that C.C. doesn't know what she wants and she has no idea what love is. She had no parents or friends. She only knew conceptually what love is, but Geass offered her a distorted vision of her wish and, as she herself said, she forgot what it is (and that's why it's ridiculous when CluClu fanboys deny C.C.'s words about her feelings for Lelouch, when she tells Kallen that she doesn't know if she loves him in episode 24 of R2, and insist on emphatically stating that C.C. was in love with Lelouch). Furthermore, she was so immersed in her own suffering that she couldn't realize that she already had what she always wanted.
Ironically, C.C. decided to cut connections for fear of suffering again and being despised. People tend to project themselves onto others and those who suffer from low self-esteem think that no one can love them because if they themselves can't do it, neither can others. Hence she distances herself emotionally from her contractors, how? Through contracts (it is C.C.'s favorite barrier). By defining her relationships strictly in contractual terms, she already creates a distance. In psychology, there is a term for it and it is "attachment." Broadly speaking, the relationship that an individual and his or her caregivers had in childhood will determine their relationships in adulthood. Clearly C.C. manifests an avoidant attachment. "Avoidant attachment is characterized by the tendency to avoid emotional intimacy and dependency in a relationship. People with this type of attachment tend to maintain emotional distance and may be reluctant to express their feelings. This may be due to past experiences of rejection , abandonment or emotional wounds that have led to the creation of an emotional shell as a protection mechanism."
Tumblr media
Initially, Lelouch also dehumanized C.C. considering her an Immortal Witch. Like Clovis and Code R, he intended to study herIt is not until after he hears CC call her her own name in her dreams in the cave in Narita that he begins to treat her like a human. That moment in the cave is important for both of them. On Lelouch's side, because C.C. enter the circle of his loved ones. And, on C.C.'s side, because Lelouch thus became the first person to treat her as a human. So the first emotional bonds are forged that become stronger as time goes by and thus we arrive at the favorite episode of CluClu fans: "C's World", from the second season.
Tumblr media
Episode 15 of R2 is a sample that Lelouch really is a good person: even though he just discovered that CC used him to transfer a curse to him and that she was dishonest with him about her relationship with his father, Lelouch shows compassion and empathy for C.C. because he wants his loved ones to be happy (and he has seen C.C.'s unfortunate past recently). Therefore, he asks C.C. that she dies with a smile, which, at the same time, is a tight synthesis of Agathonism, which is the philosophy that refutes passive nihilism and whose maximum postulate is "enjoy life and help live a pleasant life." This noble request constitutes a turning point in the relationship between them since in this way the contract between partners of Lelouch and C.C. becomes a promise between two humans (words from the official Code Geass guide, not mine). Why? Because in that moment when Lelouch promises to make her smile, C.C. see his love. The Greeks divided love into several types and one of them is agape. Agape is the highest form of love and charity and essentially refers to unconditional love (in fact, Christians later adopted the term to precisely describe the love that God feels toward humanity). This is the love that Lelouch professes for C.C.
Tumblr media
The following episodes only emphasize what it already demonstrated before. Even when C.C. lost her memory, even when her association with his enemy and her participation in the Connection to Ragnarök came to light, even when she withheld pertinent information from him, even when she gave him the Geass that would change his life forever, even when Lelouch had to sacrifice himself to atone for his sins and bring peace to the world, Lelouch never held a grudge against C.C. On the contrary, he always treated her with kindness and offered her empathy and gratitude. In the end, Lelouch managed to save C.C. of her self-destruction by accepting her and recognizing her as his equal. This is what restores C.C.'s will to live and gives her the motivation she needs to find love and acceptance for herself.
In addition to the fact that Zero Requiem gives a new perspective to C.C. since not only does she witness Lelouch's love for humanity, she also sees Lelouch's persistence despite difficulties. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is being human. She understands then what it is to be human and what life means. It's about survival. And, similarly, C.C. understand what love is. It's about sacrifice. Thanks to Zero Requiem and Lelouch, C.C. finds meaning in life and is more than ready to embrace it and love. Thus Lelouch honored his promise to C.C. and it only remains for her to live and be happy as he desired.
Tumblr media
Indeed, Larry. C.C. has a love story, not with Lelouch, but with herself and interpreting Lelouch and C.C.'s relationship. as a romantic relationship would strip away the powerful character of C.C.'s arc. and it would take away from the uniqueness of her relationship with Lelouch (which I confess I didn't find at all special at first, compared to Lelouch's other relationships that featured much more complex, nuanced, rich, and interesting dynamics and developments). Besides that's the point of their relationship. When C.C. tells Lelouch in episode 24 of R2 that he is not like any man she has ever known, she meant that she had met contractors and people who had hated and loved her, in what sense? Exactly like Mao. That's why the official Code Geass guide explicitly notes that Lelouch never saw her as his lover or mother. Therefore, if he had expressed romantic love or erotic love or filial love (storge is the Greek term), Lelouch wouldn't be different from Mao. He loved her in a way no one else had. And that is agape love. The one who only pursues the well-being of the other, putting it before his own, without expecting anything in return, even if that love isn't reciprocated, which has nothing to do with romantic love or sexual desire. In agape love there is no jealousy, envy, distrust, betrayal or anger towards the other for their failures or actions, because, simply, you love the person, accepting them as they are. That's the relationship Lelouch and C.C. have.
PS: enough of believing that self-esteem problems are solved thanks to romantic love, Julia. That only happens in novels of dubious quality.

Shirlulu hints from Lelouch of the Rebellion Exhibition Pamphlet Book
I don't know Japanese so it's done by all Google Translate. If anyone knows Japanese and would like to translate these, please feel free to do so
Tumblr media
SHIRLEY FENETTE
Pretty and lively. Although she is busy with both the swimming club and the student council, her eyes are always fixed on Lelouch. She notices the dangerous expression he sometimes shows, and no matter what difficulties she faces, her feelings for him always win out in the end.
Tumblr media
Feelings of love cannot be forced. Everyone knows that. But if they could be recognized as a couple, wouldn't everyone run to the person they have a crush on? Milly held "Cupid's Day." Shirley followed Lelouch. To the place where he was likely to be... And the two of them became a couple very naturally during the event.
Personal note: I like how it's obvious to the student body and very natural/expected for them to become a couple. There are always these cases where two people evidently care about each other enough for everyone around to think "It wouldn't be a surprise if they started dating any time soon", and Lelouch and Shirley is one example of such cases, showing that Shirley's feelings were definitely not one-sided at all.
Tumblr media
Don't die, don't die!
She was always by his side. She was a symbol of a peaceful world. There were times when he felt lonely, but that was because she was someone he could truly open up to. She was someone he could be himself with. There is no replacement for her. All he could do was to watch her voice and figure disappearing before his eyes. Geass takes away lives. Taking away someone important to you.
Tumblr media
ギアスのためにシャーリーを失った悲しみがルルーシュの中で憎悪へ変換さ れ、その矛先がギアス嚮団に向けられた。
Lelouch's grief over losing Shirley to Geass transformed into hatred, and he directed that hatred at the Geass Order.
The script writer direction of the work
Tumblr media
Script by Ichiro Okouchi
I had decided to make the main character of my new show a cool hero.
He has supernatural powers, is full of talent, and has a great appearance. A super character who seems to have the whole world in his hands.
But even though he has everything, he can't get the things that are close to him that everyone else can have.
I wrote Lelouch as a boy with such a curse.
He has the absolute power of Geass, and is a great villain who has access to organizations, military power, power, and eventually even the world.
But he can't get small human happiness - friendship, family, or a lover. He has access to everything else.
But in the end, he gets friendship and a family.
In exchange for his life...
That was the character of Lelouch that I had in mind when I first started planning the show.
I worked on the character with the director and many other staff members, and it took the form of an animation.
How did it reach you all?
The trajectory of Lelouch exhibited here exceeded my initial imagination, becoming much more expansive and richer, almost like the life of a single person.
I believe this exhibition will not be complete until all of you who know Lelouch have seen it.
Thank you all for coming to see Lelouch this time.
I hope to be able to repay this gratitude by one day appearing before you all in person.
CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion
Personal note: In the OG anime series, Shirley is the only one that becomes Lelouch 's girlfriend after the Cupid Day event (if you listen to the outro of R2 Ep12, you will hear Lelouch trying to balance his Zero acitivies and planning out his date with Shirley at the same time). Lelouch has always taken Shirley's feelings seriously, and that's why he erased her love for him in R1 ( to relieve her of the pain he had caused her for killing her father) and then in R2, he didn't want to let Shirley take his hat at first out of fear of getting her involved in his shit again.
I have always taken Lelouch's vehement "NO!" when Shirley accused him of not being serious when he said that he liked her as him admitting that he liked her, just that he was being weighed down by many dangerous things to properly reciprocate her feelings. But Lelouch gave in to Shirley's straightforward sincerity, accepted Shirley's feelings and his own feelings as well at the end of the Cupid Day event.
And guess what, Shirley was taken away from him immediately in the next episode. And it's clearly the intention of the script writer: Lelouch seemed to have the whole world in his hands, seemed to have everything, except for the little normal happiness like friendship, family, or a lover. In the end, he got friendship (Suzaku) and family (Nunally), in exchange for his life. Notice that the "lover" part is still missing? Because Shirley is gone...

The true Code Geass ending
As they held hands, their fingertips interlinked, they reminiscent the time they spent together all over the years. For the first time in ages, it felt like home. As the sun sets to signify the day’s end and a new beginning starting, Lelouch looked deep in Suzaku’s eyes, deep in longing. They felt attracted like a magnet, their lips closing together. They kissed, their lips fit like a puzzle piece. As they part,
“This truely is our Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R1-2.”
“Truely, our Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R1-2.”
Lelouch felt contented, he wanted to be with Suzaku. He wanted their relationship to move forward, he kneels to the ground signifying what he is about to do. He pulls out a ring.
“Suzaku… Will you be my Code to my Geass”

Code Geass Lost Stories Main Story Summary (contain spoiler if anyone play this game)
I wrote this within mind everyone known Code Geass Lelouch of Rebellion stories
Tumblr media
So far, main story split into three part, 13 chapter for R1, 4 chapter for chapter 1.5 and still unknown for R2. For R1 and most likely R2 too, it's basically same like anime with additional our MC PoV + their own problem so here I only talk about the difference happens in R1 :
Disel (MC family name) family are Japanese-Britanian worked for knightmare's energy filler division. As MC parents got killed, they adopted by Claris Garfield, Disel's assistant. In short, they want to revenge on Britania as they killed their parents. This one still speculations but there's indication that MC using a geass on themself to forget the past.
As MC studies at Ashford academy, she coindentally heard conversation Lelouch CC saying that he want to crush Britania then asked for join forces as they have same purpose. So she become Lelouch's backstage supporter but different than CC, they actively support Black Knight as their second ace and even become a Britania spy for providing information.
Funny enough, MC joining Britania at special division as Suzaku's coworker
Mao didn't get introduce since MC busy with their spy mission (lol)
Later story, it reveal that MC parents killed by their aunt named Kali, the reasons why Kali killed MC parents so far I know it's just yandere sisterly things (lol) and now she want to kill MC too. R1 ended with with MC vs Kali while Kali injuried badly. Of course they don't know the reasons her injuries since it's knightmare fight (at R2 Lelouch telling them) and they still not know that Kali killed their parents too.
After Black Rebellion, MC become a main devicer for special division since Suzaku appointed as Knight of Seven. After MC learn about Lelouch disapperance, they still doing their spy mission while wait for him to comeback.
Main story 1.5 started around one year blank R1 and R2 from different person PoV (sometimes MC sometimes not). It's basically just side story since every chapter just contains 10 chapter while R1 contains around 14-20 chapter. These sidestory explained many things missed at R2 like the reasons custom knightmare become so many at that time and many area under Britania rebelling after Black Rebellion.
Chapter 1 (MC PoV) : Story started from Suzaku mock battle to become Knight of Seven, introducing additional two new character for support devicer Schnee and Red, and some side battle at area 2 along with MC. That time MC got a new meele knightmare
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This chapter explain some info like Schnizel fully support special division since he thought knightmare battle could change the course of war and that's the reason he send two new devicer to Lyord. In this side story there's indication Red send there to giving information to Kanon
Chapter 2 (Britanian and Black Knight PoV) : For black knight PoV story started from Urabe and Kallen go to India for searching Lakshata to repair Guren's right hand which is broken after Black Rebellion time. While Britania learn that information, they send a Glinda knights for clean up. Additionally from Britanian PoV story started from Schneizel start mass produce Lancelot test drive. It introduce a new Britannian family member Marybell along with her knight Oldrin plus Kimmel. If anyone remember, Kimmel is a should be Vincent user as he killed by Rolo at R2. As test drive success, some rebel group attacked that place then Suzaku save the day. Tbh I never read Oz the reflection so I don't know details around Oz and Glinda knights (lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This chapter came with small details like Schneizel came up with mass produce Lancelot for everyone no matter how good the devicer to use, that's the reason Kimmel came and become Vincent user at R2 since he's just an ordinary user (lol). There's Cornelia meets Oz for searching more geass information
Chapter 3 (Britanian and Black Knight PoV) : For britanian PoV story started from Suzaku along with Schnee Red MC gone to other country to repel the rebellion. This chapter explain Suzaku title as "white devil" since he basically swop the rebel alone (with geass live too of course lol). From black knight PoV, Kaguya Diethard Lakshata came to China for protection and prepare things if Zero cameback while Kallen Urabe gone to Yokohama as their team still on chase with Britania army and meets CC there. CC too still on run after geass special corps keep chasing her
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This chapter introduce two original characters, Benio (Kallen's fangirl which she rescued at special administrative zone of Japan which later became Kallen underling) and Savitri (if I remember right, she's appear at Code Geass movie as Lakshata underling)
Some small info like Uni Europe rebel (Boukoku no Akito story) already done after general Smiley get killed so yeah it's just an afterstory, Anya Gino Bradley show their face to Suzaku for first time and Gino explain that even Rounds too still using a Glasgow custom at that time.
Chapter 4 (Black Knight & MC PoV) : This chapter started from Kallen Urabe CC invade Yokohama port to taking Black Knight knightmare which got themself into battle with Glinda knight. On MC PoV, they comeback to Ashford academy without knowing everyone changes after Charles put a geass on them and shocked especially after knowing Lelouch live normally alongside with his fake brother Rolo
So far R2 release around chapter 3 but I really like it's direction, some Oz the reflection and new characters element here makes additional info become entertaining to read
I gonna make R2 summary soon~

Hi,.....if you don't mind me asking, can I ask your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters from Code Geass? And why you loved them? And your top 5 favorite moments from the series? Sorry if you've answered this question before....Thanks....
Hi! Thank you for asking, I love talking about code geass.
I will be very basic in my answers, I’m afraid. My preferences are very similar to the rest of the fandom.
For the characters:
1- C.C
2- Lelouch
3- Suzaku
4- Euphemia
5- Nunnally
As to why I love them individually, I think delving into that would make this answer unreasonably long so let’s leave it at that.
For the moments:
1- C.C asking lelouch about the snow later revealing her name to him in Narita
2- Euphemia’s death along with people chanting “Zero”.
3- The end of R2, obviously.
4- Suzaku referring to himself as Lelouch’s shield and telling C.C she should be his sword + lelouch realizing he can no longer hold back and has to be ready to kill nunnally if necessary
5- The end of R1.

Random Rolo Ramblings 6: Kururugi and Canon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My intention was to write a few lines about the relationship between Rolo and Suzaku and post them around Suzaku's birthday. Well, it did not happen quite like that, but here they are. Admittedly, there is not really much to write about as far as the series canon goes, and here I would already like to digress a little: By '(series) canon' I mean everything that is officially part of the Code Geass story (people, places, events) as it unfolds in the TV series, not the recap films, which divert from the series canon and partly tell a different story. You can consider them a form of Code Geass elseworld or parallel universe/alternate timeline (apparently Genesic Re;CODE did that) or just see them as a separate movie canon which includes Lelouch of the Resurrection. (Correct, 'canon' is the second main topic of this article.)
As far as the Geass series canon goes, it certainly includes R1, R2 and also Akito the Exiled. I would also add the picture dramas, but that is a matter of debate and one could argue that their canonicity is not on the same level as that of the series' episodes. There are also the drama CDs, but, like I wrote before, these are just too far out there to be part of the official story. There may be official books that Sunrise considers canon, but my personal philosophy is that when we talk about films or TV shows, only what's on the screen is canon.
So what about Suzaku and Rolo? If we follow the show's internal chronology, they first meet in the final scene of Akito the Exiled. We get two reaction shots of Suzaku's face, first when Rolo enters the room, accompanied by the two Geass Order guards, then after he tells him that Charles has 'granted' 'Julius Kingsley' another audience. (By the way, look how tall he is in comparison to Suzaku. Must be the boots.) In both cases, Suzaku looks both quite angry and extremely wary. In the first case, Suzaku even makes a hard-to-define moaning sound that sounds both apprehensive and annoyed. In other words, he does not seem happy to see Rolo at all. He might be uncertain at first whether the rescue party are friend or foe, but even after Rolo has made it clear that they are on his side, he looks as happy as an employee who hates his boss and is told that he can go back to work now. This may have nothing to do with Rolo as a person, but with the unpleasantries that await Suzaku and Lelouch, but to me this look also says "Who's that creep they've sent to pick us up?"
Luckily, there are no hard feelings between Suzaku and Rolo in R2 despite this encounter, and this is obviously because R2 was produced before Akito. There is only one conversation between Suzaku and Rolo (and Villetta) in the OSI's secret control room, (which I have covered before, more than once, actually). While Rolo and Villetta have more or less always treated each other as equals, Suzaku clearly acts as the one in charge. Everyone is very polite, but Suzaku seems to be doubtful about the effectiveness of their surveillance, which triggers a response from Roll that makes him appear a little offendes, but secretly he is certainly worried that Suzaku might find out that Lelouch has regained his memories (and that he has changed sides). In a different world, to Star Trek, they may be friends, at least they don't hate each other, but in this situation, Rolo mostly regards Suzaku as a threat, which is why he even offers Lelouch to kill him. When Suzaku arranges a phone call with Nunnally to figure out whether Lelouch has regained his memory, Rolo thwarts his plans with his time-stopping powers. Apart from that, we see him giving Suzaku wary sideways glances, and that, to my knowledge, is about it. Not much, given the fact that older official artwork often shows Lelouch, Suzaku and Rolo as a kind of love-hate-whatever triangle.
What I would really like to know is what happened between the trio's journey home from Euro Britannia and Rolo's/Suzaku's arrival at Ashford. Didn't they have any conversation about 'Julius' resp. Lelouch? It would have made sense for Suzaku to brief Rolo about Lelouch's character traits so that he knows how to handle him and how to play the role of the little brother convincingly. Moreover, the Vincent's design is based on the Lancelot's, would Suzaku not be the perfect tutor for Rolo as a Knightmare Frame pilot? That would also explain Rolo's piloting skills. (Wouldn't it be fun if Lloyd was also involved? Maybe Rolo had a reason to call him "pervy four-eyes" in that infamous sound episode.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of couse there is that slightly weird scene in the second recap movie where Bismarck introduces Suzaku to Rolo (who is dressed like an accountant and looks as if he hadn't had any sleep for a week and not seen any daylight for a month, quite the contrast to his Akito outfit and posture) and Villetta. Here it is made more obvious than in R2 that Suzaku is in charge of the operation. In this scene it is also acknowledged that Suzaku and Rolo have met before, and maybe Suzaku's bad memories are the in-story explanation for Suzaku's so bluntly (and rudely) addressing Rolo's faulty Geass, which is one of the things I hated about this scene, the other one being Rolo's new alias ('Nebiros'/'Neblos'). Rolo's resentful look is more than understandable. I know why the writers made Suzaku say that: they needed a quick way to establish Rolo's weakness, but it still seems so out of character for someone like Suzaku. (I like Suzaku thanking Rolo for rescuing them better, even though he did not look particularly grateful when Rolo freed him and Lelouch from prison.) Villetta's defending Rolo and praising his skillfulness, on the other hand, is perfectly in character for her. Anyway, this scene does not contradict series canon, so I can potentially accept it as "this is what happened" to fill a gap in the story, I'm just not sure if I want to.
Which is why I am now turning to the readers. How do you personally deal with the canon problem, in Code Geass and otherwise? After all, reboots, recaps, remakes etc. are a pretty common phenomenon in the world of anime and elsewhere. Do you want to have a rigid canon or do you like to see alternate/new/fresh versions of the same story? What is your personal Code Geass canon, the two seasons of the TV show, Akito, the recap films, Lelouch of the Resurrection, the mobile games? Please let me know and thank you for reading all this, these articles are called "ramblings" for a reason.
P.S. Sorry for mostly using screencaps that I have used before.

i know code geass is a 15 year old show and everything but like to this day how come no one ever talks about in the big showdown scene at the end of r1 when lelouch and suzaku point their guns at each other and shoot how suzaku’s eyes never turn red which means the live geass never activated which means he was never in danger of dying in that scene. which means lelouch missed on purpose. anyway

HI ROXY on code geass, you want to watch lelouch of the rebellion: r1 (season 1), THEN THE FIVE AKITO THE EXILED MOVES, and THEN lelouch of the rebellion r2 (season 2). the akito films fill in the space between r1 and r2 and they are pretty crucial to understanding why SUZAKU IN PARTICULAR is the way he is in r2. kthx ilu code geass did horrible things to my brain as a middle schooler i recently made my wife watch it with me and it did bad things to him too, i love it very much
oh my god. Thank you for this extremely detailed order of watch. This is what my whole week is going to be spent doing god bless. This is especially good to know abt suzaku bc I really was out here going like oh yeah he’s a main character and he’s great and I love this for him but also he’s like not really here. Hmmmm. I may be a fool.
